Gorgeous grounds, courteous staff, clean rooms and great amenities! Especially love the shuttle to the beach front Cabana Club! I've stayed at the resort before and will undoubtedly be returning!

For a hotel that looks do nice from their pictures when you get in their villas you’d think it was a cheap “no tell motel”. Ants in the room, smelled musty, poor housekeeping service, people parking in the grass because of insufficient parking. Management disregards guests concerns. Corporate office ignores complaints. Even when given the opportunity to correct the problem this management team fell flat on their face. Despite my multiple attempts to get a paid receipt for my room that I left 5 days ago no one will assist. I received one email from a man named Zamora yet no response to my concerns or a copy of my bill. There’s a Hilton across the street from this place. Go there you’ll be happy you didn’t stay at this place.

I spent the day at the spa. The ambience is so relaxing. All of the employees were so respectful. The masseuse was very knowledgeable and took into co side ration my physical limitations. Already looking forward to my return visit.

Great spot for a getaway and very close to some amazing restaurants! The short ride to the Cabana Beach Club and the beautiful beaches of Ponte Vedra Beach is worth the trip! The large deck in the back of the hotel overlooking the tropical lagoon is a great place to relax.

We have been going here for over 10 years, very nice staff and location. I would say that the resort is looking a bit “tired”, there needs to be some serious updating done… the beach club in particular needs work done to bring it up to a better standard…

Well we just got here and it is pretty busy with so many guests. Maybe the place is understaffed for the amount of people here. The front desk didn’t answer the phone when I called with a question about a change on my card. Not a big deal considering I can get a breakdown of charges at checkout but what if it was something more urgent that was needed? I had made some requests for my villa which I confirmed multiple times prior to checking in that went unfulfilled until after I checked in such as a shower chair request and foam pillows in my room. Not terrible but could definitely be improved here.

Undoubtedly my new favorite resort! The grounds are spectacular and absolutely everything you could ever need in one place! From the Players golf course, multiple pools, walk and bike paths, to the beach, CVS, and Publix just steps away. But the best part is the staff, who are wonderful, caring, and do everything to make you feel happy, comfortable, and at home. Thank you Sawgrass Marriott! ♥️♥️

The place is perfect to spend your vacation away from home and the amenities are excellent to cater plays and tournaments.

The staff at this hotel is amazing very attentive. During an emergency situation all the staff did a great job getting 911 on the phone, helping the little girl and keeping calm. It was a nerve wracking experience for everyone and the staff helped with getting everything taken care of. An amazing ER nurse was on site and assisted in CPR until the first responders arrived while staff got towels and called 911.

To everyone. The room was amazing, enough room for 4 even with double beds. Cons: the shuttle drivers aren’t as friendly as they could be, seemed as if they catered better to the tippers as we had no idea they took cash etc. … The waiter was we had at Alice Pub was very unfriendly. The pub was not even busy, and she was just lacking service, and kept ignoring our table. We got our meal

Picturesque grounds, a dramatic lobby view and putt putt golf course are among the highlights of the resort. Having an adult pool on other side from family area was nice too. Full service Starbucks on site. The villas are 0.5 mile drive from main building and 3-5 minute scenic walk back. Personally I prefer rooms in main building for easier access to conference area and restaurant/bars. I talked to others who didnt mind the villas. Fitness center is 24 hours in a third building where spa is. At Vernon's restaurant I had the black grouper which was very good.

Had a problem with unsanitary bedding and had to change it myself the first night. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay. Friendly staff, amenities were abound. Beautiful grounds. Very quiet, near restaurants and boutique style stores. Valets and bellhops are almost a must as parking is not close, and they resist allowing you access to a luggage cart. Plenty of area for strolling beneath moss draped oaks. Also a spa, restaurant, bar, Starbucks and logo store on site. A bit of a long wait to get checked out as well. We wouldn't recommend Independence day, because almost all restaurants in the are are closed as well as stores, etc. this is a stunning resort.

I attended a military reunion at Sawgrass Marriott. The location was very convenient to the beaches and Jacksonville. It is located near various shopping areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. On site there are several restaurants and beverage locations. There is a lot to do at the resort for children and adults alike. The price was a little steep, but it was a really nice property. I would recommend it to someone, but I probably wouldn't stay there myself again. I'd rather spend my money at Disney!

Great staff. Here for a conference. Food is Good but pricey… but then again it is a resort. Great happy hour priced at ALice and Pete's pub and again good food. Be aware that at the pool bar they automatically charge you an 18 o/o service charge but do not openly disclose this. No other bar on site does this!

Beautiful resort that is not being maintained. The living room chair in our villa has a rip, the kitchen floor has loose tiles, the shower has been leaking the whole time. At night, the housekeeping staff just left the cleaning cart out in the hallway. The patio chairs have mold on them. There is never enough parking and people are always forced to park on the grass. We won’t be coming back.

I may update the review but as of right now I am not impressed at all. We checked in at main hotel. Beautiful lobby. We reserved two rooms in a villa (aka better than staying in the main hotel). One assumes based on the price of staying in the villas out of the main hotel that they would be very nice. Not so much. 1. No covered parking nor valet. Which might not be an issue if the weather is nice but when it is raining — you are on your own to lug your luggage in on your …own. I expect better for this type of hotel and price. But if you stay at the main hotel then sure you get covered valet and help with luggage. Hey even umbrellas offered would have been a step in the right direction 2. The villas are tired and gross. And by gross I mean they aren’t cleaned well. Especially the bathroom and kitchen floors (one then assumes carpets are just as nasty). They don’t clean the corners at all. I saw another review saying roaches in the villas and based on the messes left in the corners of the bathrooms/entrance ways I’m not surprised. The shower tiles are moldy. Honestly the idea of taking my shoes off in here makes my skin crawl. 3. The in room menu states the main dishes served 11am until midnight. At 3pm we ordered as we had been up /flying since 5am. They stated they can’t make them until 5 regardless what the menu states.

Very nice accomodations. Large and spacious lounge and bar areas attached to the lobby. I've been blessed to install graphics for the Players Championship here. Excellent and friendly staff, including the management staff and maintenance employees. No trouble getting on to the course from here, there is a private gate/cart shuttle provided on-site that gets you directly onto the course. Furthering the convenience, driving to the main parking areas for the tournament is less than 5 minutes away. Nice pool area and plenty of large outdoor seating to mingle or relax. Also, enjoy the view of the pond area out back, while chuckling "hopefully not too loud" at the tiny entertainment island green that is in the pond. Who's up for the challenge!?

Stayed in a villa and they were pretty nice. Amazing pools they were warm spacious. Plenty to do and see there. Didnt eat in the restaurants but they looked really great. Staff was super friendly and helpful as well. Definitely worth a stay. I will be back for sure.

We love this place, and visit every few months. This past weekend, we had two rooms and there were 5 of us. Everyone really takes care of you, and many of the staff have been there for years, but Patrick, one of the managers, always makes sure we have everything we need. When you check in, they provide free internet and beverage coupons. Love the Starbucks on sight. Love the Cabana Beach Club. I'm sorry my mom missed this trip due to health issues, because we had an AMAZING time. We will be back, again and again.

Really quite a nice hotel overall. Here for a conference and I enjoyed the pool on my first day. Drinks and food are good (even if the service staff at the restaurants is way to over zealous, trying to take food away when you pause to breath…). Room is big and comfortable. Wish there was a pod coffee machine, but minor quibble.

Great Service! Stayed here for a few days and was blown away. The staff is extremely helpful and there are plenty of fun activities around the resort. I plan on coming definitely coming back.

The hotel and amenities we're very nice. Overall I had a good stay and would stay here again if I were travelling recreationally. My one complaint is that they didn't do a good job labeling their food in the conference center. The potato salad had bacon in it and it wasn't clearly labelled. Also the watermelon feta salad was listed as dairy free when it had cheese in it. More careful labeling would help people make their food choices.

I attended a conference here and rather enjoyed my stay. It is a resort and you may be houses in one of the many separate villas. Bring your umbrellas as the walkways are uncovered and the winter and spring months are rainy. The lobby bar is well stocked and the views are quite relaxing. My room was clean but noisy due to the A/C. I found the mattress to be quite good. The Wi-Fi was spotty in my room, though. Thankfully I didn't spend much time there.

Obviously fantastic location. The grounds are amazing. This resort has a wide variety of activities as well. My room was comfortable and the bed was very good. There were some minor maintenance issues with my room and observed elsewhere (AC controller didn't work right for one) All issues were minor and didn't interfere with my comfort. All staff were friendly and helpful. We ate at the Pub twice and food and service there were average.

Rooms were clean and spacious. Service was excellent thought the entire resort. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Several of stores and other restaurants outside of the resort within walking distance was a bonus. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful resort with lots to offer for the whole family. The location is fantastic set back from busy roads but close enough to plenty of shopping. Traveled with a lot of people so a variety of tastes and there was something to do for everyone. The pools at the hotel are very nice. Only 1 is heated so we stayed there since it was still early in the season. The beach is a quick shuttle ride away and that is probably the best feature. Easy access, beautiful pool, great bar, and so much more. There were only 2 downsides here 1. The spa staff was not as friendly as other Marriotts. We got a spa service one day and they were lovely. However, we returned to use the hot tub and they were extremely rude. 2. There is no hot tub available to guests unless you are platinum or get a spa service. For some that isn't a huge deal but it was something we found lacking.

I love the Sawgrass Marriott. Everyone that works there is so pleasant and you can tell they love their job. We had cocktails at the pool bar. What a great crew you have working there. Very friendly. Marci waited on us and she just had so much pizzazz. She is such a down-to-earth person. I just love the new wave surfboard pool. And all the extra amenities you have there. The place is looking great. I'll be back soon.

I've been coming to Sawgrass for years and always had some kind of issue. Not Today! Marci Taylor at the American Gator Club went above and beyond to make my stay profound and prestige in every condition. She cares and will do "all" in her power to put a smile on your face. I feel LOVED! Great service, great food and great care. Thank you Marci for one hell of a great stay!

As far as a place to stay, the Sawgrass Marriott was wonderful… lots of places to eat and drink (albeit a bit pricey… happy hour at the Pub is a good deal) The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. And I really like the way the upper and lower lobbies were arranged into small conversation and activity areas. However, it was not a great place for a conference as meeting rooms were inconvenient and had light fixtures that presenters had to dodge to avoid concussions. Another large room held two presentation sessions with only a small room divider between. It was difficult to attend to sessions as you could easily hear next door. This was remedied the next day. The one shining factor at the conference was the excellent Saturday dinner. However, I learned it was $145/person. So, great place for a family vacation if you can afford it), not the best place for a conference.

The customer service is wonderful! I was sad because I didn't make it to Starbucks in the lobby before they closed, for my afternoon coffee. I asked the front desk for just one packet of coffee for the coffee maker in the room. Less than 5 minutes later, the nicest gentleman brings a bag with a handful of coffee packets, and all the fixings in case I didn't drink my coffee black. The view from our room was great, and the room was clean.

Great hotel and excellent environment.

I stayed here for a conference held at the resort. The room was large and very comfortable. I loved the view and you can even open the window a little bit! I was super productive on the in room chase. The TVs have Netflix, and all you have to do is put your account info in. The conferences side was first class. Good food, comfy chairs, and very professional staff! I can't say enough about how polite and professional all of the servers, assistants, and bartenders were. Also, the pub is awesome! I felt like I found my favorite bar only to discover that it's 1000 miles away. I definitely want to come back here for a leisure trip.

Fantastic venue. Went for a work meeting and found the location to be stellar, the people to be wonderful, and the interior to be classy and cozy at the same time. While I only attended a work conference here this time, I would absolutely stay overnight in the future.

Was treated to this resort as a surprise getaway for my birthday. Great location and great service. Massage service at adjacent spa was heavenly. Bus service to and from the beach with never a long wait was great. Drinks at one of the bars were kind of pricey due to the amount of liquor in the drinks but I would have preferred taste over strength of alcohol content.

The rooms are comfortable and spacious. That said I prefer hotels where the room doors do not lead to a public walkway viewing an open atrium. The front staff was great as was the operator who was incredibly helpful and friendly. The food prices are what you would expect to pay at any nice hotel though one would expect a more extensive cocktail menu, there were only two choicrs, and a more reasonable pour. The miniature golf on premise is in need of some attention. The shuttle service was very nice.

While here for wedding we were impressed by the resort and most of the staff on site. The amenities for my children was also impressive. I would have liked to give five stars, but the one rude man when we pulled up dampened our start to our trip (luckily some kind men followed and were very helpful). I also am still waiting for a call back regarding my stay, as Marriott rewards and sawgrass have a missing link between their programs and caused issues with checkout. Overall the stay was wonderful, I just hope there will be a resolution from the program disconnect and that the grumpy man at valet Friday night, got a good night sleep before returning to work.

We were very happy staying here in the villas. The grounds and facilities are quite nice. We took advantage of the resort amenities, with free transportation to Ponte Vedra Beach Club. Very nice. With 3 teenage boys to impress, Jacksonville Beach and staying at Sawgrass Marriott was a success:). We do not play golf, rather went to the ice rink for stick and puck;), but the golf course is definitely an attraction!

The biggest disaster ever! From the minute we arrive everything was a problem. We changed rooms three times in approximately five hours. First room didn’t have a bathtub (like we requested) and phones did not work. Second room, the heater was broken and was freezing cold in the room, toilet was clogged, and bathtub water didn’t drain down. They put us in the third room where phone was not working, faucet was broken, no water pressure so we couldn’t even take a bath. All this happened in the New Year’s Eve, all our family were so tired from moving from room to room, so we canceled our New Year Eve plans and went to sleep at 10pm. Next morning I woke up with huge itching and bedbug bites allover my neck and chest. We also find out we needed it to change the room again, because they couldn’t fix the phone and they didn’t have the part to change the bathtub faucet. We had travel all over the world and we have never face such an inconvenience in any of the hotels we stayed before. On top of all this miserable people working in this hotel, having attitude like somebody’s force them to work there. We decided not stay there any longer, we packed and left the very next day. We will never ever come back to this hotel again. We highly do not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Clean and Espaciosk. Beautiful Property.

Excellent resort for a short stop or for a long weekend. Staff is superb and the quality of the hotel is really high. Good selection of food and drink, including an in house Starbucks that you can charge to your room. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on hotel premises and works really well.

Not a resort fan in general but had a great stay. Great place to relax for a few days during a non busy part of the year. No advantages to be a Marriott Platinum so will try another property next time…

What a beautiful hotel, the elegance, and the scenery, And the fanciful wonder this place brings makes it all worth it in my opinion. The rooms are clean and tidy, the staff are very nice and helpful, and I am just so taken back by how mesmerizing the whole of it all is out together. What a wonderful place to go, what a wonderful place to sightsee, what a wonderful place to stay.

The resort is lovely. We stayed in an executive suite that had a separate sitting area with panoramic window views of the pool and resort area. Check-in was a breeze. Later attended a function in one of the ballrooms and had a great time. Staff was pleasant. The pub seemed understaffed.

Great place in Jacksonville.

While the staff was very friendly, I️ have never had such a disappointing hotel experience. Engineering had to come to our room three times in the first two days for four different issues and only one was ever solved. The most troubling issue was the fact our tub/shower did not drain. I️ don’t enjoy standing in five inches of dirty water while I️ shower. I️ talked to a manager about the problem on day three and was offered free drink coupons. I️ told him I️ just want my shower fixed! Finally on the last day when water from my room leaked all the way down to the front desk, the drain was fixed. I️ never got an apology or heard one word from Management. I️ can’t begin to express how disappointed I️ am.

The resort was great, it has variety of activities for the whole family. Several pools, a wave machine, bonfires at night, pool tables, chess tables … For many different taste. We didn't get to spend enough time to enjoy all of this, I recommended a longer stay of 3 days at least to get to enjoy more of it and the spa, mini golf. The fun opportunities are endless here. Staff was polite and the room was clean and comfortable.

I stayed at the Marriott for a business meeting. While I was unable to get a room in the main tower, they were able to accommodate me with a sweet in the Villas not too far of a walk from the main building. The room is delightful, a great View, and certainly made this stay very comfortable. The staff did a great job of ensuring that all of my needs were met and the facilities were very conducive to an easy weekend of work. I highly recommend this Marriott.

Staff staff staff… we have been here for three days and one to go. We feel very disappointed with the staff. As we are by far the youngest guests, in our early 30s, it seems that (with the exception of very few) we are an annoyance rather than a guest who they want to provide service for. I stay at marriots every three weeks for work and this is by far the worst experience ever. Seriously guys, let me give you an example, we get into the shuttle and tell the driver that we are going to the beach. His response, was a simple "Are you serious? ", as if that was an outlandish request (they have a beach club the shuttle brings you to down the street). There are more examples but bottom line is that the staff needs to improve a lot. In addition the villas are not as great as advertised. We visited other properties and the are way better than this one… don't waste your time unless you want to hit the course.

We loved everything this resort had to offer. Rooms are nice and staff has been great. Only things we didn't like was food is pricey, no hot tub, and couldn't get help with my bags (busy at check-in) so I had to carry them all the way for their parking lot that feels like it's a mile away. Besides those few things we loved the place.

The only tip I would give is take a seriously long look at some of your staff and maybe some mystery shoppers are needed to weed out the wheat from the chaff.

The hotel has recently been remodeled and The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The food was very good and there is a Starbucks on the premises which is a plus. The resort property is nice, but the pools are small and if you don't golf, there isn't much to offer. We did a spa treatment which was great, but the pool there had old looking furniture and had a stained bottom with a lot if leaves. Not in line with what you would expect at a spa. We have been to several Marriott resorts and this is my least favorite.

Beautiful grounds. Everything is well-kept, clean, and upscale. Enjoyed the scenery most of all. Quiet rooms, comfortable beds, quality toiletries, amazingly friendly staff. Allowed us a late checkout on our last day even after letting us check-in three hours early. Loved having a shuttle that took us to the cabana and beach — so much fun! Pools to choose from, lounges, bars, restaurants, shopping, and right on the beach. No complaints. We are already planning our return to Ponte Vedra for next year and will most definitely stay at the Sawgrass.

This is my fourth time staying here. Awesome resort and haven't even play golf. Private beach club is super nice. Pools are spectacular. All the bars and restaurants are outstanding. The staff is always nice and super helpful. Would recommend to any one looking forward to coming back next year… I may even get around to golfing.

This place is gorgeous! The staff is so friendly and professional. Have to be honest though, a place and patrons like this can make you feel uncomfortable if you only have $50 in your pocket. But either way, the bar has amazing food and drinks and the staff make you feel like you belong no matter who you are. Enjoy your time.

A handsome resort adjoining the Sawgrass golf course, the Sawgrass Marriott offers luxury with a leisurely atmosphere. Lovely landscaping, a wide range of activities on site, and comfortable surroundings will please the vast majority of visitors. The prices vary widely for those just seeking a room and those looking for the experiences that are offered in package deals. We really enjoyed our room. It was clean, modern, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The large windows yielded handsome views of the very green landscaping. Service was very good on the housekeeping end. Ours was friendly, fastidious, and unintrusive, but there was a day where she didn't appear until late in the afternoon for some reason. The front desk was alright. They were professional and quick, but I wouldn't say that they felt warm or particularly friendly.

After reading some of the reviews, I was scared to stay here; however, we had an incredible vacation from the time we checked in until the time we left. Angela at the front desk was very informative and sweet. We upgraded to a suite and we're not disappointed. The suite was massive and our room had a huge private porch that over looked the lagoon. Perfect for us. We enjoy walking so we didn't mind the walk from the villas to the spa, pool, pub, etc. Everything you need is on site. In fact, we parked the car and didn't even leave the first day. Relaxation at its finest. We brought beverages and snacks while we relaxed in our balcony then went to the pool and had a cool server named Vicky. She was attentive and bright us food and drinks while we chatted with another couple. After that we enjoyed live music at pub and ordered the mahi tacos which were delicious! Played a little chess in the lobby bar a then kicked my boyfriend's butt in corn hole outside before retiring for the night :) Next day we toured the spa which has an adult only pool and jacuzzi. Maybe next time! And we took the shuttle to the private beach club. Fun! I can't wait to come back. We truly had a relaxing, fun vacation. Thank you to the Marriott staff!

The astetitics of the Sawgrass hotel arevgreat. Our room was wonderful with more than enough room. The bed was large and comfortable and the bar and restaurant were great.

My company holds a conference here every year and I must say it is always well appointed, catered, and serviced. The food was especially nice this year.

Excellent customer service. We arrived early and our room wasn't ready so they have us access to the Cabana Club until our room was ready. And there got it ready for us 4 hours before the normal check in time.

I stayed at the Sawgrass resort over the course of a few days for spring break with family. I had a wonderful experience, with the bountiful lot of amenities available! The pools and close beach club were well maintained and comfortable, and the staff was pleasant. Even during spring break, there weren't too many occupants, so the stay was very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone who wants to golf, or just have a relaxing visit.

Not worth the money! I stay at Marriott properties exclusively and this hotel is not worth the costs nor the resort fee, which is an added cost for not much purpose. Do yourself a favor and save money by spending it on other nearby hotels.

The grounds where beautiful and there was an awesome view of a bald eagle nest off the 13th hole. Very enjoyable and I recommend the rum runner, it was delicouse.

Attended a Holiday Party and stayed the night. First I'll talk about the event. The food was good. They room looked lovely. The serving staff was odd. They teamed each table and there was no consistency. Some people didn't ever get offered wine at our table. When water glasses were empty it wasn't an automatic thing to fill the glasses, the staff came by and asked "Can I fill your water? " and then waited for YOU to hand them your glass. After the event we headed to the pub located in the hotel. They closed at midnight. When does a bar close so early, especially when they bar was fairly crowded. Missed opportunity to make more sales, in my opinion. The rooms themselves were nice and comfy. We did receive a knock on the door before 9 am by housekeeping to ask us when we were checking out. Very odd!

The Sawgrass Marriott was a refined and relaxing experience in the heart of Ponte Vedra. I would recommend staying to anyone who is interested in a classy and pleasant golf related vacation in Jacksonville.

Beware of the Vallett crew. $110 charged to go to airport! When asked why so much for a ride that is Only $80 on Uber. He said the Vallett charges him $20/ customer per trip to airport. So, the customer, unknowingly pays the $20 charged by the Vallett. Added, Vallett crew will not allow drivers to turn their Uber phone on. This way potential Uber clients will not be able to get an Uber. The only other viable alternative, is walking up to Vallett, and asking for a cab. Vallett gets handed a$20 by driver, and unsuspecting people gets to pay for it all. What a set up. According to driver, even the Managers know about this. The don't care.

Just came back from a very nice mini-vacation at this resort. The service was always excellent and the employees very nice for the most part. The hotel is very well maintained and the villas are spacious and clean, well equipped and with a beautiful view of the water and nature from your balcony. You also get a mini-fridge, micro-wave, single serving coffee maker and silverware. Two flat screen TV's and separate living-dining area from the bedroom. It has two very comfy double beds and a sofa bed. There's also plenty of activities to do: two adult pools, two kiddie pools, two outdoor hot tubs. Bikes for rental, ping pong, etc. Several restaurants and bars serve pretty good food and the drinks are excellent. They are not cheap: drinks at the pool are $10 for the cocktails. $15 at the beach club. A sandwich at the beach club costs $16. There's also a mini golf course and bikes for rental. There's a gym with the essentials if you want to work out, which has a crystal wall overlooking the path and grounds that surround the main pool. On Saturday there was a DJ 'BC' playing excellent music all day long next to the pool. The beach club is OK. Looks a little dated and I noticed the pool needed some maintenance, as you could see green patches (algae) at the bottom. Also in one of the hot tubs at the main hotel, which I think is unacceptable for a hotel of this category… but that pretty much was the only thing I disliked in the 3 days we spent here.

Great resort, great food. Took a star for the cup of hot water I never recieved from room service.

This is a very nice place to stay if you want to pay the cost. Complimentary shuttle service to local attractions, beaches, shopping, etc. Or even across the street if it is raining. Nice little fitness center, swimming pools, and restaurants within the hotel, not to mention delicious catering. Very nice staff. Rooms were very clean with plenty of towels and there are even some plates/bowls/cutlery in the rooms and a mini-fridge and microwave so you can prepare food. Beautiful scenery as well. The property is very nice, and we found all the staff very helpful during our stay. The AC was not working in our original room and we were swapped without trouble. Also our room was originally a double, but was upgraded at no cost by the clerk at check in, without requesting it. The resort fee is $22 a day. You also get Internet service for that fee, and it did include a free appetizer in the lobby bar area, still it seemed steep. However we got the room significantly lower than the usual advertised price even if the resort fee is included, so overall it was well worth it. The club area and beach access are very nice though. The rooms were nice, the service was spectacular, and the hotel itself was beautiful. The back patio with all the fire pits and the light up fountain/waterfall made it a really elegant evening. The food and drinks were also phenomenal. You get 2 free drinks per night stay, which is nice (but that's part of their $20 nightly fee). Highly recommend this hotel.

Poor experiences throughout stay from minute we drove up. Valet service was confused and disoriented — at times I noticed either pieces of luggage or key just sitting out in open where anyone could take. As a Marriott Reward Member, they could not get my points credited to my account after confirming upon reservation and while checking in. Since this was a business expense, it made it a hassle to expense as I could not go online and get receipt for stay — with the additional hassle of having to do a "report missing stay". As for the hotel, service at the bar and restaurant was poor. I tend to give people benefit of doubt, but when it's consistently poor, there must be a bigger issue. Maid service was sloppy. Often not stocking amenities or other issue. I rarely have time to write reviews, and do so when either very good or very bad. This was very bad. The only redeeming quality (and thus getting any stars) was that is was a beautiful golf course and had nice facilities.

Stayed in the villas, spacious, well appointed, contemporary suite with a very large deck overlooking water and nature scenes. Great evening time in pub. Extensive breakfast buffet with chef to make omelets, to salmon and capers, and all nourishments in between. Definitely would stay again. Staff were professional, courteous, and helpful.

The room next to us was obviously smoking which cause our connecting room to reek of cigarette smoke with 4 youngs children in the room. After numerous times of calling the front desk they did nothing about the issue and to smooth us over they asked if we would like to switch room on our last night. Really? For this hotel to be so much it is quite ridiculous. They are nice and friendly people but it's obvious their white residents can do whatever they please with no consequences.

Call Orkin! Woke up and went in the bathroom and saw a huge spider crawling around. When I looked on the floor there were half a dozen dead baby roaches. Nothing special here. When I brought it to their attention they knocked $27 off my bill. Wow! Back to the Hilton where they truly get customer service.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left several days later, Phil at the entrance was a delight. He helped with our bags, got us settled, advised about restaurants, shuttled us Several times. He was always professional, accessible, hard working and maintained a tremendous attitude in spite of high heat and humidity. He made our stay fun, comfortable and easy. He is an excelled ambassador for Marriott, he ensured Marriott at Ponte Vedra will be a return destination for us. Norma.

As if Starbucks wasn't costly enough already. The food and drinks at the Cabana Beach Club were not nearly as good as the price was high. The drinks were weak for $9.00 a pop. The club area and beach access are very nice though. You can't bring anything in, so if you want to make a day out of it you either have to pay the Piper or leave and return. They do at least provide water for you, but nothing fancy in that regard. Other places we've been have had nice fruit infused water poolside, not here. Overall we very much enjoyed the time spent here, and would definitely come back.
