Hotel was very clean. Renovated recently. Breakfast was great. I would recommend this hotel. We did not use the pool so I have no experience or comments on it. We were greeted and checked in quickly.

Stayed here for 4 nights on business. Quiet, Comfortable and very close to the base. The staff is very good. Internet service works well, the pool is clean and the breakfast service is very good. Highly recommend this location.

Nice accommodations. Clean, professional, friendly, and comfortable, Enjoyed our stay. Breakfast and the pool were my favorite amenities. I would recommend it to my friends.

Our family stayed several nights using 2 rooms close together and it was the one of the most comfortable and best decorated for the money that I've ever stayed in. The mattresses were perfect! Super clean bathroom and bedding (floors around edges of beds and under desk/nightstand weren't very clean) and definitely plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Noise was not a problem at all, not even from the hallway. My sons used the pool and said it was clean. Location was excellent! We were about 45 minutes away from St Augustine, 20 min from the zoo, 30 from a great beach. We didn't go into Jacksonville, but it was right there if we so chose. Maybe next time! It was conveniently located so that we could go either direction without too long a drive. The housekeeping staff were super sweet and willing to please… greatly appreciated them as we had a 2 yo with the group! Breakfast was the standard fare but was always hot, fresh and fully stocked. The manager at the front was very knowledgeable about the area, enrolled me in the points system and had us checked in super quick. Can't remember his name now, but thanks! You and the rest of your staff helped make our stay comfortable and very pleasant! We will definitely return next time we come that way.

This hotel was beyond our expectations. The stuff was amazing and more than helpful with information about finding places around town. We stayed 2 days and never had a single issue. Our room was clean as well as the beautiful bathroom. They have a very good selection for breakfast including hot foods. Will definitely stay again.

It smelled like cleaning products in the lobby. Front desk staff wasn't unpleasant. The Holiday inn Express down the street is almost the same price and much nicer.

Clean. Room have been updated and it shows. Very nice to have an option for breakfast and the location is about 15 miles from Zoo and a Dr miles from Jacksonville Beach. It's quiet with a nice outdoor pool for relaxing.

Made a reservation for 2 rooms on a 1 night stay. When we showed up, the hotel had canceled my reservation! Another couple standing in the lobby had their 1 room reservation also canceled. They’re response “Well we are booked” and she walked away. -To respond to the owner: That is totally inaccurate as the lady at the desk was able to look up the reservation with my phone number. The truth is that I was going to be paying via CLC, and you or your staff wanted a higher price for the room.

Better than expected. Wired Ethernet wasn't working in my room, but Wi-Fi happened to be strong. Breakfast wasn't bad.

This hotel has undergone a beautiful remodel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff from the front desk, breakfast, to housekeeping are super friendly and helpful. If you need a hotel in this area this is the place to stay. Good job Best Western Mayport Inn & Suites!

Very good option for that price, recommended.

I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. My room was clean and the staff was friendly. It is a pretty basic chain hotel, no frills but great for the price. There is an Econo Lodge down the street which I think is a bit cheaper, but I often walked by the Econo Lodge and it was loud even from the outside (people were a bit noisy on the balconies). Just something to note if that is of importance to you. It was worth it to me to stay at the Best Western which was quiet and more comfortable for me. I would recommend staying here, and would stay here again.

Where do I even begin this adventure of sexual harassment and fraud…? In a short version, I was harassed by staff member Jose during my stay. There was no one at the front desk and I needed extra towels. I was followed into the hallway after retrieving some from the open laundry room by Jose, who stood in the hallway, leaning against the wall for at least 5 minutes, watching me, saying nothing. I was waiting in the hallway by the vending machines because my friends were taking care of another one of our girls who was dealing with a family emergency, and I wanted to give her privacy while she was in the room. Jose finally approached me and asked me why I just took the towels without asking. He continued to harass me, made me SUPER uncomfortable, asked for my room number, all over extra towels. When I wouldn't give him my room number he replied with, "I already know what room you're in. " I took this as a threat. My other guests were also made uncomfortable by his odd behavior of leaning against the wall, just watching us, as we brought our friend to the room and grabbed her belongings and took her back out to the car where she could be driven home to her family. The next morning, myself and my other guest approached Thomas, Manager, and he issued me a "sincere" apology and a refund and a receipt showing the refund. He even sent me a "sincere" apology email the same day.

I would like to say that the staff were nice, but not properly trained. I noticed 4 different charges to my discover card which occurred on 3 different days. Management had no clue how these were made on my card! Then to top it off they started remodeling the place without warning. People pick somewhere else to go. Would not stay here again.

EDIT*** This "manager" Thomas H decided to leave a very unprofessional and downright rude reply back on trip advisor which I believe shows his true character. His reply: "The next time you plan to attend another pole dancing contest in our area please choose another hotel as we rather avoid having this type of conduct at our property. " I'm not sure which community college this joke of a manager received his degree in hospitality from but he has definitely ruined his reputation by showing his true colors leaving such an unprofessional comment like that. Thomas: I can assure you this one star review was no mistake at all. If Google allowed anything lower than a one star, trust me in saying that I definitely would have left it. My wife and her friends stayed there a little under two weeks ago and after an altercation with one of your staff members, you issued a full refunded receipt with your name printed at the bottom and a "sincere" apology email about the incident. Now you are claiming that your staff member's actions were justified and that you will not be issuing a receipt after you already gave my wife a printed copy of the refund. If that doesn't scream unethical than I don't know what to say regarding the lack of professionalism shown by you and your hotel.

We would not stay here again. They charge $50 more then the hotel down the street. The room smelt really bad (a strong musty smell like it hadn't been stayed in for a while or freshened up). When I called down to ask if they had any room spray to freshen it up they said to come back down to the lobby to get it. They provided a humidifier which didn't help any and wouldn't give us a different room as they supposedly were booked up for the night. The elevator was broken so we had to walk down the stairs with everything which was a pain. Also the bathroom light worked for ten minutes and then started flickering off and on. It was the middle of the night and I was in the shower so needless to say I was extremely annoyed to say the least. We told the front desk of all issues at checkout but they didn't seam to care. I'm giving a 1 star cause the breakfast was good and it was great for our family to have this time with my husband who recently pulled into port in Mayport.

I just checked in to this place and have already been screwed over. I booked a room for $113 signed a piece of paper saying I am paying $113. Yet when I looked at my bank account they took out $177. So I go up to the front to ask why they charged me that. They said its a $50 incidents fee. No where at any time was I told that I was going to be charged an additional $50. I can understand that hotels have these fees but when I am told and I sign something saying I will only be charged $113 it is not ok for you to take more money from me unless I have authorized it. I am so displeased with this right now it has ruined my only night I have with my husband who is leaving to go underway on his ship for 3 months. The only good thing I can say about this right now is my room smells and looks nice.

Try to avoid this Motel at all costs. Me and my family had to check out 2 weeks before our check out date because of the guests rumors and the staff. The staff was extremely unprofessional one in particular Kendall. She got loud told us to leave her desk. And when our mail came (phone in a package) she sat it outside. We never even met or talked to any of the guests "complaining" about us. And then to have Kendall scream out loud all these rumors in front of the entire lobby/breakfast area in front of 10 people was embarrassing and rude. Felt like a personal attack especially to sit our mail outside to be stolen or rained on. It was a bad experience, this place is filled with drama and they kick you out with no real reason. Just because they want to. Do not stay there trust me. Edit* — Yes they're is an old man named Craig who sits in the lobby and drinks all day long and starts drama about guests. And was present while Kendall was telling us to Leave and the key didn't work I had to come down 3 times for her to get it right after she was done yelling at me. And each time she was complaining to the guest Craig about other guests. Very unprofessional. The owners reply is an example of the unprofessional way me and my family were treated. This is slander and defamation of character. All these accusations are disgusting and false.

Hotel is full of ex cons and drug addicts, unprofessional staff, over charged me and one of the front desk staff called my room at 3am asking me if I wanted to smoke a cigarette!? After being hit on by the drug using guests the same front desk guy allowed them to bitterly lash out on me and actually joined in. Sexually harrassed, bullied, ripped off, constantly hit on asked for drugs, theres a guest there named craig who is about 60 yrs old who sits in the lobby drinking beer til hes good and drunk, then goes outside and uses drugs with the felons, and bashes women, all the while the front desk allowing it, horrific place and people, no laundry machine that works, bottom line police need to raid this place!

Unable to get glass coffee pot and breakfast was slow to arrive and I understand that was due to an abundance of caution on managers part to keep and protect his guest from the food that was without refrigeration due to storm. My kind of guy! Thanks for what was otherwise a great stay.

The location was conveniently located to the base. The rooms we're just the right size. Service was good, from what I was told I didn't need to use any extra service, everything was already covered. The pool are was clean and safe from kids walking in. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and business colleagues.

The staff were very friendly the bed was comfortable. The room overall was clean. My main issue was with the breakfast and smoking area. The breakfast was lacking and mainly consisted of microwaved food. The smoking area right outside the hotel is what killed it for me. You have to walk through that smell. Which is not bad for some people but for someone who is sensitive to scents it is not pleasant.

Very clean and quiet. Rooms where very clean. Didn't find anything nasty. They smelled fresh. And the rooms were beautiful and a good size (not small). The staff was nice and very helpful. The pool was beautiful. Exceptionally clean and well kept. It had very nice lounge chairs and several tables with umbrellas. It also had handicap accessible chair to get in the pool. Which I thought was very nice. The only downfall I could find is the parking lot is small with not a lot of spaces. We came in late and had to park on the curb because all spots were taking. Other than that I will book here again in the future!

The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The pool was nice and clean. Restaurants and stores were in walking distance. It was close to the beaches as well. Judging from the photos on the website, I was expecting a more spacious area. Other than that everything was wonderful.

Decent experience, however it is currently under construction. The room was clean. Location left much to be desired. But the staff were very friendly and helpful, and seemed like they were really trying their best. It was free and hot so I can't say much, but reakfast was just OK, eggs wew.

The service you get here is that of a five star Hotel. Get to meet Thomas the manager up close and you will discover that he cares you have an exceptional experience at his hotel. Leona has friendly service. She is very resourceful in giving information about the area.

I thought everything was pretty good. Room was clean but felt a bit damp. Maybe that is normal for the area. Breakfast was good though it wouldn't hurt to have the breakfast area a bit bigger with more tables. Gave me a 10% discount (AAA equivalent) when I simply asked if the rate they first mentioned was their lowest.

I booked my room through a third-party site which advertised this facility as being 'oceanfront'. Upon arriving, and learning that it wasn't, and the only room available was smoking (and they were sold out), I insisted on cancelling. Lee from front desk was most helpful in ensuring my concerns were addressed. So while I was not able to stay, she did everything in her power to ensure my issue was resolved, and for that, I give them 5 stars. It's not often you find a place that provides excellent service. Thank you Lee!

This hotel has a great owner that really cares about the guest experience. The breakfast is a feast for all. The front desk staff are very respectful and willing to jump when you say jump to help out each and every guest. I've stayed in this hotel on 5 different occasions. I highly recommend you at least give this best western a chance, you won't be disappointed.
