Read ALL reviews on ALL forums before booking. I wish I had. My story is the same as others. If I had read them I wouldn't be writing this… $193.93 per night for a three-day stay turned into a $290.90 per night two-day stay. Day one, mini lobster season I get a call in the morning stating that my room has been changed from a double-bed to a single-bed room because of plumbing problems with the first room. Ok, understandable, things do happen. Two of us stay that night, we find accommodations for the third (quite a feat during mini-lobster season). We got reimbursed $50 for the inconvenience. The first night was so loud and crazy that we slept with a knife in the bed. The neighbors left their door open and partied all night. Needless to say sleep was not good that night. Second night we get another room with double beds. Still loud. Third night we return to the hotel late and can’t enter the room. The door was locked from the inside. No one answered the door and the office was closed. We returned early in the morning, still locked so we knocked on the door again and a lady answers. We told her this was our room. She said her niece, the cleaning lady, booked it for her weeks ago… niece? hmmm. After calling Frank the manager, he confirmed the room was rented to someone else because he thought we left because we didn’t leave anything in the room. Don't people check out when they leave, or leave a key? My husband and I have called him numerous times with unfilled promises of reimbursement. It is over two months and I still got nothing. I've filed a complaint with the BBB with hopes its saves someone else from going through this.
