A nice little place, small kitchenette, internet, close to a lot, water near by and good food near. Yes, no pool but I came for the beach! Good rates also, good night sleep too!

I dont like this Motel, they dont have Pool, no Coffe Maker, any service, folt anverticing dont go.

I loved it. Super cute and clean. In a good location. We stayed in room 2, which had two beds, a nice bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, and closet. I loved the ceiling style and parking was easy. Communication with staff was quick and efficient. I have no complaints. Wish we could have stayed there longer!

Read ALL reviews on ALL forums before booking. I wish I had. My story is the same as others. If I had read them I wouldn't be writing this… $193.93 per night for a three-day stay turned into a $290.90 per night two-day stay. Day one, mini lobster season I get a call in the morning stating that my room has been changed from a double-bed to a single-bed room because of plumbing problems with the first room. Ok, understandable, things do happen. Two of us stay that night, we find accommodations for the third (quite a feat during mini-lobster season). We got reimbursed $50 for the inconvenience. The first night was so loud and crazy that we slept with a knife in the bed. The neighbors left their door open and partied all night. Needless to say sleep was not good that night. Second night we get another room with double beds. Still loud. Third night we return to the hotel late and can’t enter the room. The door was locked from the inside. No one answered the door and the office was closed. We returned early in the morning, still locked so we knocked on the door again and a lady answers. We told her this was our room. She said her niece, the cleaning lady, booked it for her weeks ago… niece? hmmm. After calling Frank the manager, he confirmed the room was rented to someone else because he thought we left because we didn’t leave anything in the room. Don't people check out when they leave, or leave a key?

This is a quaint little place! They are friendly and the rooms were clean and had refrigerators and microwaves and good AC! We were an hour from the major tourist keys and it worked out perfect! My daughter and I had a great girls weekend and we hope to come back!

Awesome little spot, stayed here Easter weekend and will definitely will be staying here every time we come to the keys! Friendly, clean, laid back, great location next to Dunkin’ Donuts.

My favorite part about Siesta is Frank, the owner. He is so much fun and full of great info. Frank has been super accomodating answer all of my crazy questions. Our room is so cute and quaint. I appreciate the comfortable bed that I have to crawl into after a LONG day of fishing. The historic vibe is so amazing. The shaded garden area in the back was perfect for an evening sit and early morning work. Honestly, can't wait to make this our newest tradition.

Frank is a great owner and his motel is small, quaint and clean. We had a terrific stayband recommend to all.

If you don't want to read a long review: The room has bed bugs, we found blood on the sheets after we spent the night that did not belong to us. The next night after different arrangements were made, we called to say we want a refund and were met with "you should have told me that you weren't staying there earlier I could have resold the room" Do not under any circumstances stay here. If you want to know the details of our time at the siesta motel: We prepaid for a 2 night stay for 4 people for Friday and Saturday night. The room was small but that didn't matter because we would only use the room for showering and sleeping. When we got there we were tired and settled into bed, when we woke up I was covered in bed bug bites. I have 10 on one hand alone. When everyone woke up we checked the beds for bugs and found small smears of blood that didn't belong to either me or my boyfriend due to where the blood was found. When we discovered this my boyfriend immediately brought it up to the owner who seemed to be concerned. He came back to the room to take pictures of the blood stains and bites to show him. I went with my boyfriend to show the owner the pictures and he said that they would spray the room with a "safe spray". He claimed that this spray was going to be used in the room and when it dried up there would be no odor and we could sleep there that night.

I stayed here for a week with my 13-year-old son. I couldn’t have made a better choice! The Siesta Motel was clean, spacious, and the price was just right. My son and I felt very safe here, and we enjoyed the iguanas that room around the backyard. This is such a good location, and easy access to everything. It was a short drive to Sombrero Beach, pigeon key, and a huge amount of restaurants. I cannot wait to go back to Marathon and enjoy another stay at the Siesta! 5 stars all they way! Nice clean and quiet. The owner Frank is a wonderful guy, friendly and very helpful! Highly recommended! The location is perfect just about dead center of the keys so you have easy access to everything!

Loved this little place. And the owner was amazing. Made sure we knew how to get around and told us about all the things to do in the area.

Booked a room for May 23-26. An issue came up and I asked about canceling the reservation. Frank told me he would try and book the room and if he did I would get a refund, if the room did not book I would be held to the charges. I felt this was very fair. I called him on May 21st (two days BEFORE check in) and told him if the room had not booked and I was getting charged I would just come down and use the reservation. He told me the room had booked and I would get the fefund. Well, he since decided to keep the money I paid for the room and will not return calls or live up to our agreement. He told me prior to my check in date that the room was no longer available and I could not have it yet kept ALL of my money ($604). Frank is not honest and has no integrity. Reading the other posts about him paints a pretty good picture of the type of person you will deal with if you decide to stay at Siesta Motel.

Motel a bit run down. Stayed here a few nights. Come to the Keys quite a bit and decided to try this place out. Old and needs updated but the big reason I wouldn't recommend this place for any reason is the owner Frank, not a pleasant person at all. God forbid you make a comment or suggestion about the motel. Lots of cheaper better places and more pleasant.

This motel was horrible from the beginning. First the rooms were very small and the air conditioning was extremely loud (made it very hard to sleep). Towards the end of our stay we blamed for breaking a chair in the room. Instead of trying to find out the why and how. We were threaten "pay or I call the place". Horrible experience 0/5.

No Frank, the credit card didn't reverse it in your favor or my card would of shown the charges, I received their letter that states that. The dispute was in my favor. I can see you can't handle negative reviews on your run down hotel because you know that's exactly what your hotel is run down. I live on a beautiful yacht by the way, moron. If I did live in a basement it would be a 5 star upgrade compared to your dump. Your mom still working the streets? Suck it up buttercup, I got my money back. If you got any then you managed to trick the card company as well. You're good at that. I was in another country as a hurricane was coming and the storm could of went anywhere whether there was evacuations or not. You chose not to come up with a solution that could of worked for both of us, because we would of rescheduled after the storm passed.

Best and cleanest Motel ever. Owners Frank and Chris take pride in keeping up this quaint and BEAUTIFUL rooms. Definitely will be back.

Sheets were filthy, and when asked to get clean ones the staff gave us a hard time and claimed they were fresh, which they were not. There was a group of 7 girls sleeping in the trailer which seemed to be not cleaned in a long time. Bugs and stains and nails sticking out of the bunk beds. Gross. Staff is uncooperative. Owner stated that they were uncooperative with us because of our "attitudes". Owner also referred to us, the customers as “pigs”. Maybe the ants and bugs in kitchen cabinets would feel different.

A good deal for a last minute booking. Our group was a group of 4 which the room was meant for a group of 4… but the room had only two single Beds. We brought our boat down for the mini season and was told by the owner that it was alright. When we wanted to wash the boat, you needed to get the key to the faucet, which you need to wait 30 minutes for the owner to tell the maintenance man to get even though the owner had a faucet key and lived right next to the motel. Bad experience at the motel, but it is impossible to have a bad experience in the keys. I most likely will not be coming back here; yet this place was the cheapest for the season and is a good back up if your other plans fail.

Had been to Siesta on 06/29/2013. Very cosy and convenient. Just next to the highway. Staff is very cooperative. We reached late at night from Orlando, but the owner kept the room ready for us. Had a great time being there since the activity center was also at convenient distance from the motel. Thanks again.

We stayed here a few months back for a night. The rooms were ok but mildewy smell. We went to see if we could maybe switch rooms if they had an opening, but the office clerk had a snippy attitude. Good thing we only needed one night. We won't be going there again.

This is without a doubt the best place to stay for your money when in the keys. It honestly needs ☆☆☆☆☆ more stars added. Have been going and staying at the Siesta Motel for many years now and always recommend it to anyone going for vacation.

Got to stay with friends here they rented a trailer with 3 bedrooms. We had a nice cozy bed an had fun with our Friends from Ohio.

August 11th, 2017 — We have enjoyed our stay here immensely! It is right in the middle of the Keys, easy access to Key West and Key Largo. The rooms are very nice as well. Only the snottiest of folks would turn up their noses. Sure, it has a couple of little issues but I am guessing it is due to the wet climate. The rooms are extremely clean and housekeeping is ON it every single day. They even noticed when we were using extra pillows and made sure we had the fluffiest ones the next day. Its very quiet as well with a nice little back yard. There are 2 grills out back, not just the charcoal one that someone else turned their nose up at. The other is a gas grill so you have your choice. There is a full size fridge and microwave in the room and two queen beds as well as a TV with cable. The shower is nice and big enough to clean dive gear in and let them air dry. We really have no complaints other than having to leave day after tomorrow. : (

My stay here was very enjoyable. The room was very clean. I had a room on the back side which had a very quit smoking area. Had a home away from home feel.

Great tropical relaxation spot. Rooms were immaculately clean. I loved the tropical courtyard in the back where our room was. Very quiet… and family friendly. There is no pool but who needs a pool when surrounded by watetheOur room was a fully equipped kitchenette with all new tile and paint. The ac rocked… coldest room ever!

The family and I just spent a few days at the Siesta Motel, on our way to Key West. It was the greatest motel. Had dinner on the grills out back. No frills motel, but it is worth staying there. Frank was awesome. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping was perfect. If we ever get back down there, we will definitely be staying here. From the Santoro's (Your pain in the ass).

Treated very well by staff and the owner is phenomenal! Our room was exceptionally clean and a great price. They even pointed us in the right direction for all the best fishing, snorkeling and fun! I highly recommend a stay at The Siesta Motel! I can't wait to come back! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!

We are here in the suite which is a 3 bedroom 2 bath double wide trailer. It is old but it is clean, plenty of room for the 8 people that are here. I would recommend putting in a new stove other than that it has been great. Would definitely recommend to anyone that is coming to the keys for more than a day.

I stayed here on new years eve because prices in key west were prohibitive. The rooms are very minimal but is an economical solution. The owner is friendly and helpful.

Clean motel with helpful staff. Room was large and had a nice kitchenette stocked with everything needed to make light meals. Wifi was definitely a disappointment… We were on the east side of the building, and I had to walk outside towards the office to be able to log in… Would highly recommend upgrading existing hardware… Other than that, it was good.

Good place for a cheap price (compared to other places in key west) Rooms were clean. The owner was a sweet man who gave us good suggestions for restaurants and things to do in key west.

I booked a room for the end of oct and just cancel it two days later and find out they was a fee to cancel, but then I booked it online u can cancel it for free. Dont book at this place or u will have to pay them.

Despite reading all the negative reviews, I booked this motel for a week simply because it was the cheapest option. Upon arriving the room was clean, air conditioning cold, it even smelled nice. Each day our beds were made, fresh towels were put in place, and the room was cleaned by the time we came back each evening after our day's activities. You can't beat how nice it is for the price.

Locked out after a 25 hour drive, and after reading these other reviews, I called the Monroe County sheriff's office to repudiate my situation. My credit card had already been charged! I was assured by Frank the room would be open and ready. Instead we ended up sleeping in the IHOP parking lot, as every hotel in the keys were booked up! Went there in the a. M for the refund, and got it (I hope), but was told there was an after hours phone number. This was disproved by the police earlier that night, or I would've had a place to rest! I was also told the room was open. Again. No it wasn't. Also disproved by the police. If you had an after hours number, and you knew a guest was arriving after hours, why not give it to them, in case of a problem.

I booked this motel through Orbitz. I saw that the motel had a policy of no refunds will be given on Holiday weekends. I called and spoke to Frank (the owner) BEFORE I booked, as I was not 100% sure I would be able to get the time off work to go down. Frank assured me I did not need to worry about with canceling as long as I did so within the 2 week grace period. I unfortunately could not go and did cancel 3 weeks prior. Well. Not only did he charge me, but he charged me MORE then I was suppose to initially pay! DO NOT STAY HERE, OR YOU WILL HAVE TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE CHARGED THE RIGHT AMOUNT. Frank would not discuss anything with me and said he did not remember the conversation. Convenient hunh.

"La Siesta, where no siestas happen". Let's see, there is a conveniently located airport directly across the street, the room abuts a 4 lane highway, the air conditioning is hooked up to an e-cigarette machine, our door knob broke off on the inside, thus we were trapped in the room until the manager passed a wrench through the window to us in the morning, the vintage vinyl chairs stuck to our asses in the humid Florida air, you have have to leave the parking lot at 60mph just to keep up with the passing traffic, the 18 wheelers going by inches from my head at had me dreaming of a Mad Max movies all night. I wish I was an octopus so I could give this grubby snot-a-torum 8 thumbs down. Ironically the best stories from our trip came from our experience here.

SCAM***BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL — AND DO NOT GIVE "FRANK" YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! We cancelled our reservation 1 month in advance and got a cancellation number stating that our "Cancelation was successful" and to our SHOCK, a month later "Frank" charged us for an unauthorized amount of almost $700.00! We never stayed there and never signed anything! We talked to him and he said "he would get back to us", but HE WILL NEVER RETURN OUR CALLS! The fraud dept. At our bank is on it, and so it the local Police Dept. In Marathon, FL. Trust me, this will be no "Trip to Paradise". He is very unethical! Frank, if you read this, you can still give us our money back. It's not too late! At least answer the phone when we call or return our phone calls! You know you were wrong to take our money.
