Very welcoming owners… made certain to get to know all of their guests by name and to make certain you were taken care of. The personal touches such as the amazing fresh scones every single morning… the kayaks… the gorgeous tropical landscaping… loved everything about this place and will be back ☀️🌴♥️

Family owned business. They give extra care to the clientele. Facilities and environment are spotless and clean. Views of the Bay are fantastic. Highly recommend this property.

Absolutely beautiful landscape, awesome amenities, accommodating owners, VERY clean rooms, super clean property and perfect place to come with friends or couple. This place is far better than I could have imagined! I very, highly recommend to anyone coming to the area for any reason!

Peg and her staff will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. Relax in lovingly cared for grounds or swim in the Pool. Care to kayak or just sit by the water to view breathtaking sunsets. Rooms are well appointed to tend to your needs. Be sure to partake of the delicious scones whose flavors change daily. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous hidden gem. Staff was amazing. The wife and I made a last minute trip, and was so impressed with this resort. Beautiful landscaping, friendly staff, free kayaks and Paddle boards to use. The rooms are extremely clean and beautiful. Peg the owner makes delicious scones free of charge every morning. Her son Jonathan was very helpful throughout our stay. Will definitely be back. Like Peg says. Come as guests and leave as friends. Thank you all for a great stay. 😊

We just spent 6 days here and could not have been happier. The cottage we rented as well as the grounds were immaculate. It is so peaceful here and welcoming. The sunsets were amazing and in the morning there are delicious freshly baked scones and coffee to enjoy while watching the sunrise bayside. The owners Peg and Jonathan were so nice and were there for anything you needed. We were celebrating a birthday and the owners bought us a key lime pie which was absolutely amazing and so sweet of them to do. We cannot wait to come back! Thanks for a great experience for our first time in the keys!

The fact we booked an extra night and changed our flight just to stay longer, should say it all. Beautiful resort, everyone is so friendly, and the complimentary morning coffee and scones are delicious. A great place to relax.

This place is awesome! We had a lot of family vacation here recently. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. Bring some carrots or celery for the lizards and aguanas — they are everywhere and love to sunbathe. The rooms are clean and lovely. Peggy's scones were delicious — get there early before they're gone. We enjoyed the pool and beach area as well as the kayaks. My favorite time was early morning — sitting on the beach chair with coffee and scones and watching the sunrise (or sunset). I recommend a drive to Key West. Our snorkeling was canceled due to high winds. We had a nice breakfast at Macs Kitchen and the best dinner at Snappers. We shopped at the Publix for sandwiches, drinks and snacks. If was sad to leave but reality is a must. Can't wait to retire. Highly recommend a stay here! You won't be disappointed!

Beautiful little boutique resort, with a beautiful beach area and perfectly manicured grounds. The only downfall to this little resort is the management. It has recently been taken over last year and the new owners have an awful lot to learn about the hospitality business. It’s family owned and run basically by two young brothers. They need to learn the art of communication with patrons. Hopefully they take a class in hospitality!

This place is AMAZING! Peg, Jo and Johnathan treated us like family. They really made our honeymoon the best experience. First night they even surprised us with champagne! This place is beautiful and look forward to our next trip here. We have recommended this place to many people.

Right on the water, easy access to food and activities. Very helpful hosts/owners. First time ever in florida, and definitely look forward to coming back heresometime in the near future!

We had a great family stay here. Our first time in Key Largo, and we cannot wait fo go back! Clean rooms, safe and fun for kids, friendly staff. Starting each day with fresh scones was a highlight as were all the lizards, iguanas, and squirrels the kids loved chasing. Peaceful, beautiful place to unplug and relax!

This was the perfect escape and change of scenery this week after five months of being home. The unit (#3) was comfortable, completely equipped, and immaculate. Staff was friendly and always helpful. We felt perfectly secluded when needed, it was almost like being in a little bubble for 4 days away from the world.
Our room was perfectly located right on the water. We made use of the paddleboards and the pool, and the best part… the scones were the best I've ever had! We can't wait until we can come back!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Pegs delicious scones were the highlight of our mornings and the kayak launch was perfect for exploring Florida Bay.

We are here with our two small kiddos and in LOVE! Quiet, beautiful, relaxing. Outside of the amazing home made scones every morning, which my daughter loves (as do we), you have amazingly close access to the paddle boards, kayaks, small beach, pool, amazing sunset, and kind people. We will definitely be back. Did drive to Key West yesterday, which you can easily do there and back in a day if you are looking to explore the keys stretch!

Rooms are clean and spacious. The pool is heated, important during the winter when daytime highs reach only 75 degrees. Paddleboards and canoes are free. Has a small beach front.
The staff is accommodating and helped us out when they didn't need to. My wife loves the scones.

The place was very clean, and has a amazing atmosphere and the sunsets on a clear night are amazing.

My husband and I were looking for a casual old Keys relaxed feeling rather than the new upscale resorts and found exactly what we were looking for. Historic old time but updated bathrooms and comfortable upscale bed and linens. Perfect.

We had the best experience! Our family loved this resort. Such a pretty ocean view and they provide you free use of kayaks and paddle boards! Everything was wonderful! We will definitely come back!

Just had another fabulous stay at Bay Harbor. Love the comfy beds here. Highly recommend our new favorite room, bungalow 17! An extra thank you to Peg who made me my favorite scone (strawberry and chocolate) when I told her they were my favorite! Hubby caught tons of fish and I enjoyed my usual nature watching. See you again real soon!

The managers here are rude and nasty to guests after checked in. The owner herself is very nice, but the managers she has chosen to hire are TERRIBLE! Plus, if you want to stay in a place that asks you to turn in after the sun goes down and makes it seem more like a retirement community than a place to enjoy your vacation, then this is the place for you. Its beautiful and everything, but its not worth being treated like a child.

We just returned home a few days ago after a 7 night stay. My husband and I were with my 6 year old daughter and 13 year old niece. We all had an amazing time out on the water with the kayaks, snorkeling and fishing. The sunsets were breath taking! I loved having a grill outside of our room and the view from the Manatee Cottage was gorgeous. We even fed the squirrel every morning a few peanuts. We were able to view manatees, a small nurse shark, sting rays, many crabs, iguanas, and other fish right from the docks. The staff were amazing as well! Very close to grocery stores, restaurants and other recreational activities. One of the most relaxing vacations we have ever been on! We can't wait to book our next stay.

That lodge is amazing. If we go back we will definitely stay there. They have plenty of kayaks and a paddle boat and free roaming iguanas. It was truly paradise. Me and my wife enjoyed our stay there for our honeymoon.

We’ll definitely stay here again! The newly renovated rooms are quite nice — it’s worth paying a little bit more for a water view. And yes, the scones really are very good.

Very nice stay! Very homey and quiet. They have free kayak and paddle board options which is great! Nice beach area and they have a nice pool! Rooms and very clean and have a big kitchen with a full sized fridge! Love it!

This hotel was a godsend. We arrived a little after midnight. The front desk helped us check in right away. After 8 much-needed hours of sleep, we enjoyed a tasty breakfast, sharing the long table with a family from Barbados and another family from Denmark. The staff kept the food and drinks flowing. Made for a fabulous first day to summer vacation.

I was so happy that the weekend came it was my daughter 3 rd birthday and my son was so happy to go fishing after his long surgery recovering from his cleft palate, I have ask the manager if 2 guest can come and their was 3 but 1 of them were just dropping things off for my baby girl but anyway he started yelling at us and screaming at us every 5 min I was so shocked thought it was a nightmare I just think theirs many nice way to say things I was treated like a animal or maybe he was racist for hispanic not sure all I know. He even kick us out for no reason and no refund now thats mess up! Just think about my 2 kids so heart broken, which they didnt do that to his kids ever!

Wow! We loved the Bay Habor Lodge. It was our first trip to Key Largo and we are so glad we read all the great reviews and decided to book Bay Harbor Lodge. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was cute & clean and the bed was super comfortable. They have a great set up on the water. Lots of beach chairs and you can take a kayak or paddle board out for a spin. Also, for breakfast they have the MOST Delicous scones! I’m still dreaming about those scones!

We've stayed here six times in the last 8 years. It's a huge part of what we love about the Keys. Truly wonderful landscaping and plant life (Etienne is a wizard! ) great saltwater pool, free kayaks, amazing fresh scones every morning. I proposed to my wife on their dock on New Year's Eve 2011/2012 :)

Great place for vacation. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The property is very nice. I really like that it's not a huge resort with tons of people. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Stayed here April 23rd and April 24th 2018 What a great place. This place is clean and well cared for by both the owner and the staff. Justin at the front desk went out of his way to make sure we were happy and comfortable. He is also a great resource for the area as well as the whole keys down to Key West. If you are looking for a clean, quiet and friendly place to stay. This is the place!

Great room, great views. The property is beautiful with plants and different fruit plants throughout. Iguanas on property give you that true tropical feel. My room could've had better air conditioning and a better shower. Other than that I had a great stay.

We had a great time here! The staff was nice. The coffee and scones were awesome. We grilled and rode kayaks right outside our door.

My husband and I booked a couple of days at Bay Harbor for a quick spring vacation. We were incredibly impressed with our stay. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept and include a little beach area. The room was clean and comfortable. The kayaks and paddleboards are free for guests to use. Fresh scones and coffee are provided each morning, and they are hands down the best scones I have ever eaten. Next time, I will book one of the rooms down by the water so I can enjoy that view all the time! You really can't beat it for the price. I can't wait to go back!

Loved this place! If ever in the area I would definitely stay again! The people were so kind and welcoming. They have kayaks to use for free and rooms are mostly separate little cottages. When you pull in off the road it looks like you're pulling into a whole new world with all the trees and flowers everywhere. It's very beautiful and well kept! Every morning they make fresh scones to have with your coffee. Delicious! I definitely recommend to go to Islamorada while you're here and go to Robbie's to go out on the party fishing boat! This was the best time of our whole trip — staying here and fishing at Robbie's. Was the 2nd week in December so not very many people on the party boat and we caught so many fish!

Stayed in unit — It is a lovely cottage with King bed & full kitchen. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Beautiful gardens/grounds. Very friendly staff, and the fresh scones each morning are fantastic! — — There is very limited room to store your belongings, so I wouldn't recommend more than 2 adults in this unit of you have large (or lots of) luggage. — — Would definitely stay here again.

Clean rooms, beautiful ground's so well maintained, super friendly staff and OMG Peg's scones are the best you will ever eat! We were there for Christmas, planning to make this a yearly destination! Manatees just out from the dock were spotted by kayakers, and there are free kayaks and pedal boat, you simply cannot find a nicer place to stay.

This place was amazing. Spent five days on our honeymoon, never even saw the pool! Spent our time watching sunsets, using the kayaks, and enjoying the view.

Beautiful and charming place to get away from it all. Staff is very friendly and the sunsets are amazing. This is the second visit this year and is the only place we have stayed for the last 4 years.

Beautiful property however the staff was not welcoming or accommodating what so ever. We had 10 rooms rented for our wedding party and unfortunately we all had a similar experience. Next time we will stay elsewhere.

I have been coming to Florida for over 30 years and every now and again you find by accident some place special. This is the best place I have ever stayed in. Beautiful place with free kayaks paddle boards and peddle boat. Relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff and an amazing owner. I don't think I need to say any more.

While our room was not ready when we arrived, the staff was quick to upgrade us and the room was delightful. Quaint is the perfect word to describe the area. Nice views of the sunset. Most relaxing vacation I've ever had.

Very convenient and clean site. The pier and back of the property is an awesome place to chill and watch the sunset. The personnel is extremely friendly and the place is very clean. Parking is easy, but limited. The entry might be difficult to find, but it makes it more secluded. You cannot hear any road noise from the rooms.

There was a dilemma with our booking which resulted in us being placed in an alternate suite. It was considered an upgrade (since it had a kitchen), but it only had one bed when we needed two. It was both an upgrade and a downgrade in that sense. Pretty area to walk around with beautiful landscape and a nice dock area. We were awoken to the sound of construction in the suite next to us at 9am, which is not acceptable. They had free kayaks and paddleboards for guests to take out, which was fun.

Had a great time in he fall. Owners, I think are on the premises. Rooms small, but very private. Lovely tropical atmosphere, but cozy with great saltwater pool. Right on the water with covered chicken.

I stayed for one night. Nice, clean 2 double beds, nice updated kitchen and baths.

One of the best vacations spots I have ever been to! The trip was a pleasure from the moment I spoke to the staff over the phone to the moment I checked out. The room was exceptionally clean and cozy. It was extremely peaceful and quiet, the perfect place to do some meditating, writing, drawing and reading. I did some fishing from the private pier and cooked some burgers in the mini kitchen in my room. There were excellent places to eat right around the lodge, I must recommend Mrs. Mac's Kitchen. The sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the homemade scones were delicious! I definitely will be back.

Stayed during Sept, 2012 The location was beautiful, but we had a persistant problem with tiny ants marching through our room. House cleaning sprayed but they just came back. We were told to expect these tiny visitors in bedrooms anywhere we went in this area?!? In addition, the manager and staff refused to let us check out a day early when we had a change in our flight schedule — even with 4 days notice. If you would like to stay somewhere that is interested in the quality of your vacation rather than the size of your VISA bill, try somewhere else.

For the price, my wife and I loved this place. We just got back from celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary there for five days. They brought us a nice bottle of wine to help us celebrate. The front desk people were very helpful with local recommendations and places to visit on our way down to Key West. We could have spent more at a fancier place, but wanted the small cozy feel of this place over a large resort. It was perfect. We liked the kitchenette too so we had options with our meals and we decided when to eat out. The rooms are clean, nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable. The pool was very nice because we had a cool front and the ocean was too cold and way too windy. The 80 degree pool was a great alternative. We will come back again for sure. You must eat at Mrs. Mac's Restaurant — all their food was amazing. Avoid The Buzzards' Roost (should have known by their name), Hobo's was just average.

Bay Harbor Lodge was by far one of the best places I have stayed in a very long time. The rooms are clean, the scenery is beautiful, and the customer service is excellent. They have free kayak rentals, a nice pool, and a great private beach (in which I took full advantage of). This place is a hidden gem in which I will be going back to very soon. If you like peace and quiet with a local feel, this place is for you.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, on the way to Key West. We absolutely loved it. One of the most fantastic sunsets I've ever seen. I think it's a remarkable value for a waterfront hotel.
