This was our first time there, very nice! All redone after Hurricane IRMA, very clean, staff was friendly, and although it was on US 1, we did not hear much, since all rooms are facing the other side, right on the water. Grounds are manicured nicely, lots of hammocks, lounge chairs, shade and sun, whatever you need. The pool, facing the gulf, looked awesome, but the deck was under repair, didn't matter much to us… and it will reopen soon anyway… the only drawback was the bar and grill " Florida Boy "on the hotel grounds, which is an INDEPENDENT business. All summed up, Lime Tree Bay Resort is a very well run Resort and we sure recommend it for people, who look for stress relief and solitude…

I want to go back right now. It was quiet, beautiful and all around amazing. I am still kicking myself that we didn’t stay an extra day or two. It probably was my favorite vacation to date. The view from our room was simply stunning — watching the sunset was breathtaking. Being able to lounge on a hammock or sit on the pier without anybody being obnoxious was the best! I *will* be back!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Comfortable, fishing, grills, garden chess, etc. Restaurant on premises. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. It's like you're on a small island but it's right off the main road. I've stayed here twice and will stay here again in the future. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing honeymoon at Lime Tree. Staff were very friendly, check-in was smooth. We got there early due to flight issues and although a room was not ready yet we were welcome to use all facilities. Even then — they made sure to get us the first room available! The resort is very well kept, clean, and exactly as pictured online. The rooms are well appointed, and modern with a seaside twist. Free use of kayaks, paddleboards, bikes, and plenty of other ways to entertain. The water was clear and good fir snorkeling-yes there is seaweed and algae-this stuff is all through the keys since Irma-totally uncontrollable by resort. We are already planning our next trip down with family!

This is our second visit to Lime Tree. This trip was for our anniversary, and a much needed get away. I can't even begin to tell you everything that went wrong. From going through three toasters, including one that caught on fire, to a dead roach in our room, to no new toilet paper in our room and having to ask for coffee each day because their was none put in our room, and not forgetting the loud obnoxious music that was allowed to play from some guests for hours (clearly not considering any other guests staying there), this trip had many obstacles to overcome to enjoy our time… which we did manage to do in spite of. Actually, it became comical and almost unbelievable. The management needs training to say it lightly. We will not be staying there again. I highly recommend that you look at other places if your paying these prices. At least until they figure out how to treat their guests with top rate service.

It was an ok resort. Fairly comfortable. The Keys have changed. Restaurants are ridiculous with prices. Still a beautiful area. Great job cleaning up after the hurricane. Just wont return. For what we spent on a long weekend BBC we can go to Mexico for a week.

Our room was very nice, lots of activities are offered, however much seasgrass and related smells make the beach area not swim able. They do have a nice pool area but don't understand why there are no shade umbrellas around the pool. The sun is very intense and no place to escape from it unless you leave the pool area. Would really give it 31/2 stars.

We enjoyed our week at limetree very much. The staff was very helpful and friendly he specially my new friend Felix. The rooms were very up-to-date clean and spacious. I would rate our experience five stars.

Price performance is not right. Old and consumed. Shower has barely water. Air conditioner filter has not changed for years. Better old and ridden through. Location very nice. Garden with hammocks OK. Breakfast lousy and in the bar. This is Drecklig and unappetizing. My overall impression very expensive everything outdated.

Wonderful place… to disconnect and breathe good air… cute to go with kids.

Lime Tree Bay Resort is a lovely place right on the ocean… Beautiful beach, pool and the sun sets are amazing. It is a small resort so It never felt crowded. I would come here again. Nice and quiet if you are looking for a relaxing vacation on the gulf.

So much potential to be a nice resort. Upon arrival I was pleasantly happy with the beautiful the view from our room. The make shift beach area pretty and relaxing … but The room was not clean! The tile floors seem like they had not been cleaned in months… my feet were black. I literally wore socks so I wouldn’t touch the ground “yuck”. So I figured I would suck it up for two nights since. It was a short weekend getaway. As I walked around the room I noticed brown stuff on the bathroom wall, burn marks on the mirror, the wall near the microwave had dried food stains. The mini fridge was also filthy on the outside … lastly I turn down the bed and notice a blood stain. I immediately complained to the front desk. And was told management would be left a message regarding my e experience. So we left today, no follow up from management! Nothing off my bill! Or even how can we make your stay better! Or we are sorry. Sorry lime tree bay we won’t be returning!

April 11-15, 2018 — — We reserved two waterfront king rooms for two couples. We stayed in 157B and 153B both with beautiful views from our balconies including from inside the rooms and bath when curtains/blinds are open. Beds were comfortable. Absolutely loved the layout of the grounds. Activities and games sprinkled throughout that were fun for two or more. Pool was amazingly clean and perfect temp! Plenty of tables and chairs for sunning. Florida Boy restaurant just steps away to get something to eat or drink. There's plenty to do or just relax. Used the kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. Met some awesome people that we plan to stay in contact with after leaving. This spot was a little slice of heaven that made our 40th anniversary get away together a very enjoyable one. Highly recommend staying here. Already planning a return trip!

This place is a 5 star hotel! Amazing location with great rooms! I'm leaving a 3 star review because out of the 5 nights we stayed there they didnt clean our rooms for the first 3 days. I had to ask the office to clean our room. It kind of ruined the experience for us and the floors were dirty. We also had small ants in the kitchen but we ate out almost every day so they didn't bother us much. We were disappointed because this hotel is amazing. Not sure if they were understaffed from the storm. But overall we loved the location!

Absolutely beautiful place. Lots for families to do. The only thing lacking is close proximity to places to eat. You will have to drive. The place next door, the Florida Boy Blue restaurant but the food is seriously bad. The free Continental breakfast is inside their place and is the typical continental so that is ok. The Florida Boy will cook omelets and other breakfast food but again our food was bad. Everything we had over there was serve cold and we gave them three tries. Had them microwave it for us last time and vowed to eat elsewhere. Lime Tree Bay Resort is perfect in all other ways.

Great location. Good service and friendly staff. Close to the park. They have bikes, kayaks, and paddle boards, free for the guests. The rooms are big but need important renovations. Great view from every room. Unless you're looking for luxury, it's a good place to stay.

World class… always happy to… and always remember-the drinks are magical!

Stayed 5 nights. Secluded in quiet long key. Not much business on this Key. Which is great if you are looking for R and R… anytime u want to be kneedeep in people, just drive a few miles up or down keys… very good food at restaurant. Could use a clothes dryer. Florida is so damp. Staff VERY friendly. Don't worry about road noise comment. U hear more waves than anything. If you're bringing kids or friends verify room size. Wife and I were alone do room was fine. But if we had brought one child definitely would need one of the bigger rooms. I would come back for a QUIET week on keys anytime. Honesty think we should have stayed entire week on this Key. Versus spending several day trips in key West and Key Largo. Wife could read and I could have fished more. Solid 4 star and we've traveled about every level of comfort over 27 years.

I really really love this hotel! It’s a shame we we’re only able to stay one night, but the hotel is right directly next to an amazing bar and grill. The food was so amazing and you can even try fried alligator the waitress was super sweet and had a great vibe would check it out if you stay here! Also the rooms are great! The room we stayed in was super cool and unique with a beach house style, the bed is really comfy with super soft sheets with a full stainless steal kitchen.

Beautiful place, good service, prices a bit…

Good location for exploring the keys. We had one of the newly renovated waterfront rooms and it was well worth the upgrade — the view is fantastic. Staff was friendly and accommodating, bed was super comfortable, and hot tub/pool area was clean and situated beautifully along the water. The grounds were well maintained — lots of spots that looked like they'd be nice for sitting out, although it was too cold during our visit. The restaurant on-site had tasty food at good prices.

I stayed in room 155 and it was incredible, the building was new with all new appliances in the kitchen, gorgeous veiws of the ocean from the balcony. They provide free bike, kyaks, paddle boards and a peddle boat off their beach. I'll warn that that these suites have a connecting door to the room next door so you can hear people having a regular conversation clearly. The staff were really excellent especially the bald guy who's name escapes me. We plan to come back soon.

Echoing other reviews, great staff, grounds and small but contemporary and clean rooms; bedside chargers, "tap-on" lights, good amenities and marbled bathrooms made the room feel special. LED lamps lighting is a bit glaring in the room, but that's the price we pay to be ecological. Only complaint is walls are fairly thin, and I could hear TVs and conversations from adjoining rooms. Worth it if you can get a price below 2-3 hundo (I paid $150 for a small solo room). Looking forward to using the paddle boards, hammochs, and other water-side amenities.

Clean and well managed. Well located between several marinas. Enjoyed watching the kids feed the tarpon at Rubios marina. Pool, spa and very nice beach ready to be enjoyed all day. The proprietor provides long boards, kayaks and other water toys. Perfect for families.

Beautiful accommodation, but expensive. We had had a very nice time here. The outdoor pool had done it. The very close beach was great. We were also able to enjoy the jetty into the water, with a platform attached. The outlook for a Caribbean thunderstorm was superior from there. Breakfast was lala.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very nice and spacious, the food in the restaurant is delicious and economical, excellent service and many amenities on the beach to enjoy the scenery.

Great staff, really nice facilities. Very comfortable place to stay. And this was during November 2017 just after Irma hit. So they're doing an amazing job.

I booked for this Resort, it is the gift for my daughter who is 26 years old, I hope our stay is enjoyable and worth having chosen Lime Tree. I'll tell you about our experience.

Dreamlike rooms with stunning views.

Where can I start. This was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had at a hotel. When we arrived to our room we realized the air did not work and it was pretty noisy since we were next to the street but not too bad. When I asked them if there was another room they told me all rooms were booked for that day. They told us they would send an a/c guy to fix it. That took about an hour before the guy got there another hour trying to fix it and turns out it was an "electrical" issue so they had to call an electrician. Prior to calling him they offered to move us to a room next to the canal (downgrade). We could move to a canal view or they would have the a/c fixed that same night if we were willing to wait. Considering the amazing view we had we decided to wait since they assured us it would be fixed. We went to dinner and when we came back the air was still not fixed! They closed the front office and did not bother to call to let us know the air was not fixed despite assuring it would be. I call the emergency number multiple times of course I was already aggravated considering the many lies I've already encountered with these people and when I ask who I can speak to about a reimbursement she hangs up on me mid sentence. EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional! I wish I would've gotten her name but I'm pretty sure she was the owners wife (I could be wrong) she finally comes back to the property and changes us to a room two doors down from where we were.

Best resort ever. We've been coming here for the past 5 years. And we shall return. It's a No Rulez Resort. It's beyond fantastic.

I stayed here in the end of July. What was supposed to be just a date at the Keys with a girl, ended up turning into a night of fun. On the way to the Keys, we spontaneously booked one night at the Lime Tree Bay resort and headed over after deciding a night away from Miami would be nice. When we got there, we were more than surprised to see the place, which was basically a fully furnished apartment with pots, pans, and utensils. The place was very spacious and also included a large outdoor deck with a couch and hammock, so if you're a smoker, you'll enjoy it. I'd say the place is ideal for couples, and kids might be bored, but the place also had a pullout bed in the family room for extra guests. However, if you're looking for a romantic getaway, look no further. The bedroom was pleasing, including a flat screen and really comfortable king-size bed. The a/c got nice and cold and we woke up feeling refreshed the next morning. I'm sure I left out some things, but I don't have anything negative to say. We should've came prepared, since the K-mart is about 20 minutes away, where we bought the essentials for spending a night and headed back. The place was very clean and had a very homely feel to it. I would highly recommend it simply because of the bang for your buck. You can't compare this place to a hotel and I will say this. The next girl I take on this mini vacation will be in for a surprise!

Beautiful view and location. Bathroom is on the smaller size but should not be an issue. Our room had a small porch with arable and chairs that faces the ocean. We loved it and would stay here again.

Location is fine, next to a busy road if it matters to you (although despite being right next to the road, I heard little to no highway noise). Air conditioner works fine, but is a bit loud. The restaurant isn't fabulous, but if just want a beer a something to basic to eat, it's fine. About 45 minutes to Key Largo, but there is very little right nearby. Did have a balcony overlooking the water, which was nice. They do have kayaks and paddle boards, although we did not use them, or the pool. Bed was comfy, room was clean, so I felt like I got my moneys worth. Love the assigned parking too, makes it much easier.

Clean, well-equipped hotel with spacious rooms. The best view from the bed was out to sea. Fantastic sunsets.

The grounds and views are absolutely beautiful. The staff is great. The rooms are nice with a kitchenette and a beautiful waterfront balcony. However, the bathrooms really, really need updated. The showers are disgusting. And you can smell the putrid smell of the seaweed on the beach from the road. All in all, it IS a great place and I would be more than happy to stay here again.

A beautiful, well-kept hotel complex with comfortable rooms and magnificent sea views. Book easy rooms with sea views … the kitchen in the suites is fully equipped. However, the nearest supermarket is about 20 minutes away in Marathon. The staff were friendly but not really competent. The pool complex is very nice.
