Definitely a great place to stay, very clean and spacious with a great back yard sitting area and pool.

My wife and I just stayed there. Everything was great. The staff was wonderful, the room was very nice, and the people doing breakfast were very special. I highly recommend this place!

I just spent two nights at the Duval House. It was a great experience. I received a warm and friendly greeting when I arrived — the breakfast was very good and the room very clean and cozy. I would recommend The Duval House to anyone visiting Key West.

I highly recommend this place. The only two things I recommend to the owners/management however … is to hose off the deck every morning (rooster or cat feces is abundant)! Also—put ceiling fans on the roofed porches—it’ll make a pleasant difference with the pressing humidity of the town. Besides these two things—it was wonderful overall and will be staying here again the years ahead… God will! 👍🏻🌴

Great place! People that worked there were very gracious and helpful. We had great breakfast in the morning. We only stayed one night and they treated us as if we were there for a month.

Absolutely love it here. The staff are all super friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and cute and the garden is a haven from the craziness of Duval street outside. I stay here whenever I'm in Key West and it is always a great experience. Didn't want to leave yesterday!

Our family of 7, ages 22 and over, loved our stay at The Duval House on 11/30 and 12/1! The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast both mornings. The rooms were so clean, and the grounds were well maintained. Bike rental was a plus. Definitely would stay here again-5/5 rating for The Duval House!

Super cute guest house with its own private pool. I would stay in a larger room, as a small economy rooms are very “petite. ” Location is awesome and staff is helpful.

Amazing place would visit over and over great people great place!

Last minute choice in high season just after Christmas… at least they had a $500/night room. Room was small but cool with all basic amenities but nothing special. Breakfast was less than a normal B and B would have. Email for after-hours registration instructions never arrived til next day… we wasted an hour after dark figuring out how to find the location and "access puzzle". Hallway was noisy outside our room with late drinking clientele and the roosters in the A. M… really?

Going in I knew the Duval house was a small hotel and the rooms weren't gonna be a 5 thousand square foot room, but the rooms were small and cozy and the staff was amazing. The guy at the front desk was very informative and just nice overall. He gave us discount tickets for the bars in the area and he even gave me a comp beer when I checked in. All in all the staff was nice and customer service excellent, room was clean and all in all my one nightstay there was great.

Excellent stay! I was greeted enthusiastically by the owners — John, Greg, and Jeff — and shown around the property immediately upon check in, which was a nice touch. Excellent rooms with good AC, as good of a location as can be, surprisingly fantastic coffee, and all around good experience. I can't imagine staying anywhere else next time I visit.

Wonderful wonderful experience. The cozy romantic room was very clean and relaxing. The breakfast waffles are really good. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of everything around. Its Located in a great area close to everything. However the pictures on the website don't give this place justice. The Duval house is much nicer in person. Definitely will be staying here again.

Great location, adorable courtyard, super clean room with beautiful decor, all the amenities you could ask for… except a decent mattress. The mattress appeared to be a fallen down old air bed (Sleep Number? ). It made that airbed noise when you laid down, you sunk in several inches and the displacement made your feet pop up! If I were assured a decent bed I would stay here every time we come to Key West.

Great location off of Duval Street, decent pool. Not much of a breakfast, prepackaged pastries. If they wanted to make breakfast better they should have at least a waffle maker. The A/C in my room bearly worked and I was told by their maintenance tech that it was working properly, I work on air conditioning units, I know when they are bad! The room would not go below 78 degrees.

We stayed at Duval House 2 days and were delighted with the beautiful gardens, the warm and welcoming hospitality and the delicious breakfast. Fresh and tasty waffle with fresh fruit was my favorite. Location is perfect if you want to be where the action is.

Great hotel location just off of Duval street. You can walk to almost anything you need. The rooms have fantastic a/c this is a big plus. Love the size of the pool and outdoor areas. A happy hour is offered free well drinks, local beer and wine. No appetizers are given though like other BnBs. Breakfast is a continental breakfast also unlike other BnBs. Rooms vary in size, our was on the smaller side but typical for key West and it had everything we needed for our stay including a larger mini fridge.

My two sons and I enjoyed 3 days here. It was my 4th trip to Key West, first time in this lodging. I can only say good things about our stay. Perfect location to most all things we wanted to do and see. Very friendly staff and the rooms were excellent. I have to admit we stayed in the upscale rooms, relative to cost anyway. Well worth it. An exciting time including the 3.5 hours each way on Key West express.

Excellent little place located right in the center of key West. Bikes available for rent (best way to get around). Cozy rooms that are well keep, clean and quiet. Nice pool area and green space. Happy hour bar on premise.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was exactly as described online, it was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This was a very convenient location for us.

Stayed at Duval House 2 days and was delighted at the quaint gardens, the hospitality there makes you feel like family. The Breakfast is great. Warm waffles with fresh fruit, great cinnamon rolls, much more. A good selection of different coffes. Location is the best if you want to be where the action is, so close to everything thing.

Centrally located hotel on Duvalstreet. Hotel is to the street original conch houses to the rear through into a magnificent garden other rooms. Although Duvalstreet is the holiday street, it is absolutely quiet with the rooms at the back. Cool.

I love this place! John, Jeff and Greg are amazing! So helpful and WANTED to take care of us ❤ and they sure did. You will fall in love with the atmosphere, the staff, the rooms are gorgeous and classic. Abdul was so helpful drying my clothes after swimmin! What a doll ❤ We came down for my girl Regina's birthday, and it's my first time!. We came down to keys on a whim and they accommodated us immediately. Giving us beautiful rooms. And we decided at the last second to stay another night and went above and beyond to take care of us. You will love it. Enjoy!

We had an amazing time here. The people working the front desk were very helpful and accommodating. They even gave us an "adult" water when we checked in. The location is RIGHT on Duval, they have a large outdoor courtyard with a pool, and complementary breakfast. My room was quaint, not large but not too small. It's all about location bc we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. We will definitely be back!

The Duval House was perfect for our weekend getaway. The location could not be better, it’s right in the middle of Duval street with a cute wine bar right across the street. You can walk to everything — The most southern point & Mallory square. The Duval House is so cute and super clean and quiet. After walking around town all day it’s the perfect place to come back and relax and lay in the sun. You can tell the owners really care and are super nice! The price is also amazing for how close you are to everything and everything you get including breakfast and the best coffee in Key West!

New ownership has made The Duval House a "must stay"! Rooms are clean and well appointed, the hospitality of both the staff and the owners is amazing, and the back gardens are an unexpected private oasis! The pool is maintained at a perfect temperature and the breakfast waffles, made by the owner, are worth getting up early! The location is perfect, and the front porch is an ideal place to "watch the world" pass by. I cannot say enough nice things about the Duval House and the new owners!

It was very quaint. Owner, John, provided a warm welcome to us. The garden area is lush, tropical setting. It's located within walking distance of all key sites. I will definitely return.

Very clean and friendly. Secluded but half a block from all the downtown attractions. Is a nice little getaway from all of the hustle and bustle. Free light breakfast, complimentary happy hour every night. Pool, garden, bicycle rentals out front. Walking distance from everything. Beautiful place, calming and romantic.

Don't waste your money. Water in sinks and shower never got past warm, it's a bed and breakfast. Couldn't sleep cause mattresses were horrible. It's also way over priced for what it is. You never get your money back. We left early because we really needed to get some sleep.

Free drinks at happy hour! Right on Duvall. Owners and staff are so sweet! The seahorse room is a little small, but was very clean and updated nicely! Perfect for a night or two in Key West.

Absolutely Perfect! My best experience at a hotel! They go out of their way to make sure you truly feel at home. Asking if there's anything they can do to be more accommodating. John definitely is an amazing person to be around and definitely would come back just because of the way he represents himself and the Duval House. He takes pride in his job and you can tell.

Highly recommended! If you go to Key West you have to stay at Duval House! the place is super well located, close to everything walking. The house is a beauty, very well maintained, clean, neat. The breakfast is very good and fresh! And all the staff very friendly and attentive, John, Sole, Sasha thanks for everything, we'll be back to Duval House!

My wife and I stayed in room 8 for the weekend for her birthday and it was the most beautiful little place. Fantastic staff and incredibly friendly people. This place gives you access both front and back to great local bars and restaurants. We will be back for sure. Joe n Kim LeBlanc.

The illiterate women who took my reservation screwed it up so instead of a queen we got a room with 2 small hard beds. At the cost of 352.50 a night (could be considered rape) you expect a comfortable quite clean room. This room is on the front of the hotel and I can get past the noise of traffic and noise out of control of the hotel but they pressure washed the side walk 2 of the morning we were there at 6am. Not the time you want to get up on vacation after nights of the Duval Crawl. The first day I went to the office and asked for NO made service. We didn't want people in the room. I gave them room number 9 and I thought that would be good but no they came into the room against our wishes. They didn't even clean or replace the towels on the floor they just hung them dirty towel up on the shower rod. Disgusting! So then we spent the next hour complaining and all they would say is sorry, It's harder to do give good customer service and do the right thing then to just say your sorry a million times. This is why they make you pay up front for your stay. Do yourself a favor stay away!

Under new management as of 12/2017. New owners were kind and accommodating. Great rate, clean room, nice cont breakfast, and the entire staff greeted us with a smile and "how may I help you today". Loved every minute of my visit. Recommend very highly.

Nice place but kids should not be allowed. The breakfast was beyond a joke. They also tried to charge me for parking that was supposed to be included and was a very far walk.

It was very very clean. Bed was so comfortable. People was nice. Love landscape and breakfast. Right in middle of everything… the only thing I didn't like was they charge for parking. And water pressure was awful.

Charge a lot and recieve nothing, thats our motto! If there is any issues and you need help, they are useless. If you want to talk to a manager, your response from the staff is well I can give you there voicemail and they'll call you next week sometime. Nice to know that once I'm back home from staying at your hotel I might as no longer a guest get some help that's to late to actually help. Don't waste your time or money here.

Great location, beautiful grounds. Breakfast is OK. Our cottage was nice but small for 4 adults and a bit overcrowded with only one bathroom. The outside patio was nice for hanging out as the living room was too small for all of us to hang out in together. One of the beds was not in a dedicated room, but an alcove off of the living room. All of our beds were uncomfortable. The kitchen was poorly stocked with paper cups and coffee cups rather than glass. There was a blender but hardly any plates. The toilet's placement seemed like an afterthought. I recognize that early check in is a courtesy, but we were there at 2:40 and still told we could not check in until 3pm. The door to the cottage locked automatically so be sure not to lock yourself out as the front desk is not manned at all times.

The room was nice. Parking was extra and a few blocks away. The shower tiles hurt your feet. For a bed and breakfast you'd expect a great quality breakfast but it was a crappy little egg and bagel set up in their office.

Staying in Key West is generally quite expensive. At Duval House is a good price/performance ratio. Check in was personal and friendly. Parking possible directly behind the hotel for a reasonable price. Our room was small but right in the heart of Key West on Duval Street. Perfect starting point to explore the island in the evening. The terrace in front of the hotel rooms is particularly beautiful. Here you can still sit comfortably in a rocking chair in the evening and look over the promenade. Breakfast was o. K.

This place was great. The staff was friendly and the grounds were kept up with. It's within walking distance to everything. We parked our car and never moved it until we left (3 nights). The breakfast was just right. They did upgrade us from the Cabana Room to a much bigger room with a balcony. The only thing I would suggest is DO NOT book a small room unless you are staying one night. They're very small.

Came with a large group. The common/pool area is perfect for that. What makes it even better is the free happy hour at the pool. The rooms are a little small for me, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

The location is good but that's the only good thing. The sound insulation is pretty bad. I can hear my neighbors talking clearly from left and right, up and down… I didnt sleep at all during that one night… Gosh I spent almost $300 for it…

I booked it myself and made a crucial mistake only having one bed in the room, and I went to the office only to find my angel… Alina, this young lady did her magic and got me into a beautiful room with two beds and we were able to enjoy our vacation! She did that at no extra cost to me, which I thought was more than generous! She is the reason I will be back to Key West and will only have to make 1 phone call for my room at the Duval Inn! She and the rest of the staff do anything in their power to make you feel right at home! Love the whole experience!

Central but private. There is limited parking on site but there is no reason to drive. Everything is within walking distance. With a few blocks are restaurants, bars, shopping, souvenirs, drugstore, convenience store, and entertainment galore. The walk to the Marina is a bit long but there's plenty to see and do along the way. Since we were in the thick of things and next to a bar with a show, we thought our front-of-house room would be noisy. It was not. At all. There was no outside noise until you went outside. The central common area of the property is charming. Quiet and secluded. Very enjoyable day or night. The continental breakfast was better then average with fresh fruit, coffee, all manner of bakery items that looked fresh and not packaged, coffee, juice. Staff was very friendly and accommodating always. I would definitely go back.

We love the Duval Inn. The staff is extremely friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the rooms are clean, and the location is great. The Duval Inn provides a very relaxed environment. We will be repeat customers.

Alina, the woman at the front desk was AWESOME! Extremely pleasant and helpful. Location is perfect. The rooms are quaint and cozy and property was emaculate. Loved the pool area. Breakfast was basic and lacked variety, but it did the job. Nice for a couples getaway.

Convenient location (located smack dab in the middle of Duval at). Quaint and lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms are tiny but that is to be expected for this area, I think.

The Duval House has the authentic Key West feel and is centrally located within walking distance of most popular spots. The lush gardens provide for privacy and tranquility while being right on Duval Street and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. I will definitely stay here again and sincerely recommend it to fellow travelers.

Our room at the Duval House was beautiful, with a blacony overlooking the garden. The staff has been very helpful; the woman at the front desk allowed us to use their printer. The best part is the courtyard, which is shady and surprisingly quiet, despite being feet from Duval street. The only thing I could have asked for is slightly more comfortable sheets.

Awesome place, right off Duval St. We were in the Seaside "cottage", great room, excellent AC :) Pool area was a great place to relax and meet the other guests.

It was amazing. The service was great and Mary at the front desk was super friendly. I was sorry to hear about her mother passing but she was a trooper none the less. Also, the amount of feral cats that wonder the property at night amazed me and my friends. We had a great time naming them and inventing tales of fancy while imagining all the mischief they would get themselves into. If you do stay here, look out for Mr. Picklebottom, he's the orange and white large tabby with one eye. He was my favorite:) Also, the beds were comfortable.

Very happy with our stay at the Duval House. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a beautiful suite with a balcony. The room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly. Parking was a reasonable price. Complimentary breakfast was good. Right on Duval Street where all the action is! We will be back :)

My husband and I stayed here for a quick week vacation. The room was clean and to my surprise pretty updated. The location was perfect! At first I was concerned with its location next to the bar it would be loud but that wasn't an issue at all. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast every morning. The porch rocking chairs are a cute touch and we made use of them while drink our morning coffee. We woke up a bit late on the day of check out and they were okay with us being a bit behind on getting out of the room, even though it said late check out is $45 extra dollars. I recommend it if you enjoy the Key West charm and being walking distance to all the town has to offer!

“Lovely grounds, quiet and very comfortable room, thoughtful service… ” A lovely place to stay near to the heart of downtown and the harbor. Yet, the large gardens and comfortable room made for a quiet and restful stay. The "Continental" breakfast was substantial. The staff and owner, Kate, were welcoming, thoughtful and helpful. Even the resident large turtles were social! In-depth research of alternatives suggested that the hotel was reasonably priced as well. My wife and I found the Gardens far more warm, inviting and relaxing than the large, institutional hotels with a bit more privacy than a B&B. We had a delightful experience. The Hotel has made the gardens available for non-disruptive fund raisers to support local charities. The Gardens are almost a landmark in Key West. Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple.

Gorgeous location and the grounds are spectacular. Rooms were large and clean and well decorated. Staff was fantastic as well. Located just a block off of Duval. Will be staying again next time we need a key West getaway!

Com Booked this hotel on there and they had the cheapest rates around… We needed a last minute room to stay in Key West and stumbled across this beauty. The room was very pretty with high ceilings and wood floors. The stand up shower in the bathroom was very large and relaxing. My favorite part was the pool. Although somewhat small, we relaxed there all night in a great ambiance. It was lit up nicely surrounded by palms and it was super quiet. My only complaint is the parking situation but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

This was a great property retreat in perfect proximity from the action on Duval or from the little street end beaches wether you needed to relax or recover, the comfortable Rooms or lounge chairs by the pool were perfect. I'd like to characterize this place as "the perfect utility" for your stay due to the location, but it's way more than that. We booked here because it was too late to get a Decent VRBO, but after staying here, the comfort and convenience will be hard to pass up for a VRBO on our next visit. Well done…

Chic Lodgia Hotel with significant signs of wear. The rooms are all quite pretty in a colonial-style décor, but the Details are missing. Everything works on the 2. View pretty matter of fact. Unfortunately, this Hotel seems to be that from three smaller houses is greatly in need of renovation. Many of the wooden elements (stairs, doors, railings, etc. ) are, obviously, were for years not cared for, everything in this Hotel exudes a (certainly) charming and quaint Lifestyle. For 200€ a night, in my view, clearly excessive. For those arriving by own car: There is no Parking! The Breakfast is so far the Worst what I got in Florida. There is practically nothing. No fruit (except oranges), no scrambled eggs, omelets or the like. Overall, pretty sad. Nevertheless, the Hotel has its own charm, who comes with the drawbacks are clear, for his Key West residence, a,,, authentic,, the choice is made.

Cypress House Hotel is two blocks from Duval Street on Caroline. Operated similar to a bed and breakfast, the rooms have been remodeled from older houses. The service has been great so far, and includes a continental breakfast in the morning and happy hour snack and drinks in the afternoon.

We stayed here for a few nights during bike weekend. We enjoyed everything about our stay here. Super close to Duval and all the action but still super secluded for privacy to get away from the action and relax. Great staff, super friendly. Highly recommend. I think my favorite part was our marble bathroom, not a detail was missed. Great breakfast buffet in the morning.

This will be our 3rd year staying at The Gardens Hotel. Each time we have truly enjoyed our experience at this little slice of paradise. We have always had exceptional servious from all of the staff. Our room has always been fresh and clean each morning after breakfast and our morning walk. This is the best Bed and Breakfast in Key West. The room is spacious our bed is always so comfortable with fresh clean linens. We will continue to stay here for years to come. Being surrounded by The amazing and luscious gardens and vegetation makes our stay so peaceful and rel axi Love Sitting on our own private porch each day! This is an experience never forgotten.

We stayed for two nights and had a great room on the 3rd floor. Very nice and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good happy hour and light breakfast. Great Wi-Fi reception in our room. Very enjoyable stay.

Rooms were great for the price and access to to other places in the area. The only complaint I have is that the light outside of the room never turns off and the AC only gets the room about 68. Besides that great room.

Just got back and loved it! This place is awesome, close to everything. Clean and beds are great! My thing is cleanliness, and this place is great! Would stay hear again in a heart beat, world highly recommend! We stayed in the leaf room and loved the private area. Pool is a great midday splash. Am definitely staying there again!

Fell in LOVE as soon as we walked in our room. Stayed for the weekend in the Orchid room, and the inn is located in the perfect spot on Duval St. Friendly staff, had a great birthday weekend! Highly recommended.

I stayed at Duvall Inn over the weekend from 4/8/16 to 4/9/16 even though I originally paid for 3 nights. I had a family emergency and had to check out early. I was part of a wedding party that booked most of the Inn. When I handed in my keys to the gentleman at the front desk at 8am, along with another couple who was checking out at the same time, he did not say anything. So we asked him if that was it. He said, "Yes, that is it. " He never gave us any paperwork. Since I was in a rush, I didn't stop to question it. After I arrived home and handled said emergency, I called the same day to speak to the manager to see if I could get a refund. The receptionist told me to call back the next day when the manager was there. I called the next day and the manager said no I could not get a refund. Although I wasn't happy, I respected that. I called back the next day after further thought to ask if I could check in another night to make up for the day that I did not stay at hotel. The manager never returned my call. Now I am seeing that there is an additional charge of $48.38 on my bank statement and I have no idea what it is for. I'm really disappointed at this experience. I am a laid back person who rarely complains. As a former travel nurse, I have stayed in different hotels/Inn/suites all over the US. Also, I have traveled internationally and stayed in both hostels and hotels. I have never had such a disappointing and unprofessional experience.

Was excited to stay so close to everything, right on duval street. Showing up and being told to stand outside while another guest was in the office was annoying but understandable. After waiting 10 minutes outside, after the other guest left the office and almost getting a parking ticket, was not so fun. Being told I had an upgrade after being annoyed was awesome. Finding out that so called upgrade was a little teenie cabana with a shower my boyfriend couldn't fit into made wonder how bad the room was we were upgraded from. Do not stay in the cabana it is ridiculous! having someone above you with paper thin walls and ceilings is horrible!. Literally heard the bathroom noises from the people. Due to my boyfriends wonderful snoring, I also had to deal with the ladies above banging on the floor trying to get him to stop (as if I wasn't already elbowing him). The continental breakfast was just stale food from the morning before. But it helped from all the shots I had at Irish kevins. It's cute place but definitely not worth it. Not if you stay in Cabana The bed was also felt like a deflated mattress.

I was looking for a decently priced place to stay that still had personality. I really dislike just being another door down a bland hotel hallway. The Duval House was on old cigar factory dating back to the 1800's when trade with Spain through Cuba was prolific. Its a small compound of about 4 or 5 small buildings that connect through classic hallways and stairs cases throughout the tiny complex. The court yard connects all the buildings creating a hideaway where they serve breakfast every morning out of a small bungalow type structure. The front part of the building has a great view of Duval street with old school rocking chairs witch are perfect to have a drink at home while people watching. They have privet parking in the back for about $12 a day. It was safe and quite so I never needed to worry about the renal car. In short I had a great time here and hope I get the opportunity to bring friends here in the future.

Awesome place to stay for a decent price. The room was clean and maintenance was right on top of fixing an issue I brought to their attention. Nice little pool, shaded from the hot sun. It was a pleasant stay.

Small resort style hotel with perfect location, right in the middle of duval street. 10 minutes walk to Mallory square or southernmost point. $13 for parking. Room we got was tiny, very old, not very expensive considering location. Breakfast starts only at 8:00 am. Service was good.

Very nice room, but a bit small. However, it is 100 steps from Duval Street which is a major plus. Nice pool, and the patio area is very shaded. The pool is large enough for cooling off after a day of walking and touring. We had trouble with internet connection in the room (Seaside), but internet connection on the patio was not a problem. If you're looking for a nice place to stay close to Duval Street, I recommend the Duval Inn.

The house is beautiful. The ambiance is eclectic, solace, and diverse. Upon arrrival, we were immediately greeted and warmly taken care of, showed our guestroom, which was the Cabana on the first floor right on Duval. I callled a few nights before and was told that it could get a little noisy but frankly the noise is really further down Duval and I was not bothered by it a all. (im a very light sleeper) The porch is beautiful, great for people watching and smoking a cigg, if thats your thing. The room is small, expected for the price we paid and a small TV. The architecture is beautiful and they certainly mastered the ability to renovate without losing the charm of the older property. The bathroom is also small. I didnt expect aything coming in, this is my first time at a bed and breakfast, I usually stay at higher end chain hotels but my husband and I wanted a little something more romantic and are really happy with out experience. Our room was SPOTLESS, and Im OCD so that was a huge factor in rating. The garden is spectacular and the salt water pool a delight. The staff are warm and friendly, the breakfast was delicious, belgium waffles are phenomenal. The mattress was horrible, too soft for my taste and had a dent in the middle, which my husband and I kept rolling onto and made us very uncomfortable. The size of the TV and the mattress, along with the size of the shower arethe reasons why I didnt give this property 5 star review.

Me and my wife have travel all over this great land. The Duval Inn is one of the most relaxing places we have ever stayed. You have the beauty and comfort in the rooms breakfast each morning happy hour at 5:00 P. M. Our good friend Captain Roy makes the best drinks in key west. Lounge by the pool the fun never ends its the best of both worlds just around the corner and your in all the action. By far the staff you will ever met a group of people so friendly all the way to the owner. The times we have been there the owner always makes time to sit and have good conversation with the guest. You rock Duval Inn I promise we will be back real soon. The staff makes you fill so comfortable is just like being at home. I can't wait until we can get back down this is our third visit. My work schedule includes a lot of travel/stays in hotels/b&b's on avgerage 10-15 nights per month; therefore, I am a member of most hotel chains, but enjoy staying in quaint B&B's especially in areas like Key West (Historic District). I ran into a gentleman that referred me to the Duval Inn so I looked forward to staying there based upon his experience. That changed the momemt I arrived and walked into the office. Professionalism is expected in my line of work and in turn, I certainly expect and typically receive it when I'm the client. That being said, the employee was lacking in that area (rude/indifferent) and when I walked in the room, I walked right out! Perhaps the main house has rooms that are nice and accommodating, but this one was basically a 12' x 15' room w/bed and TV. No place to sit but the bed or floor. I read some high reviews on this website for this Inn, but all it takes for a business to lose a customer/s is one bad experience. I saw there was another hotel in the area w/this name, The Duval House — maybe that's the one the gentleman actually referred me to.

We had a wonderful stay at the duval inn! We were visiting the area for a family wedding and most of our group stayed at the duval inn. We stayed in the Lauren room, it was spacious and homey! Great location off of duval st where all the bars and restaurants are located. Everything was within walking distance. Happy hour every night was so fun, Roy the bartender was a riot. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the key west area.

Such a great location with terrific service. Free drinks at happy hour, $10 bike rentals, a pool, and a newly renovated room. My wife and I stayed in the Havana room above the office and had an awesome experience.

The Duvall Inn is just fine but certainly nothing spectacular. It is NOT a B&B in the truest sense of the word. Breakfast is served out of the tiny front office and is strictly continental fair — cereal, toast, yogurt. The room I stayed in alotted one bathroom to five rooms. I don't expect a private bathroom at a B&B, but that is too few bathrooms in my book. On the plus side, the Duvall Inn is in a terrific part of town — right off Duvall Street but still quiet and removed from the chaos.
