Great hotel, great staff, and great service. Very clean, comfortable, and close to many attractions.

The location is nice but they need to focus on customer service rather than just the potential new sales. Make sure staff members show up to activities on time and pick one thing to work on construction wise at a time rather than having multiple pools and activities closed all at the same time. They’re in it for the sale and once you’re an owner besides a free buffet breakfast or two they only want to hear from you if they can sell you a worse deal than the one you already have. Our family has had the timeshare for over 2 decades since I was little and sadly the last five it’s really gone downhill with customer service and hospitality. If you own at west gate go to west gate town center instead.

I love this place the rooms are big and spacious the location is great it’s close to Disney World and universal studios which my kids love I love the pools and hot tub’s and all the amenities and the staff are excellent.

Great place for a family vacation. The staff if great. They have shuttle buses to the parks daily. They have seven pooles.

Terrible experience with several staff members. Between misinformation and lies I would not recommend anyone to but a timeshare here. Especially not from Faylosio who made several unprofessional and disrespectful comments and the other two members who he called in for backup when we declined to buy in.

We are having a great time at Westgate Lakes Resort, great friendly, peaceful, and accommodating staff, great food and lots of fun amenities, clean, great view from my suites screened in balcony!

I can tell this was a lovely place but has become run down. They don’t respond to request at the front desk and the unit is not properly stocked. The view is lovely and I can tell it was a very nice place. Too bad they didn’t keep it up.

Broken luggage carts, not adequate parking for the amount of guests at the resort, and some of the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. I wouldn’t own here if it were given to me.

I was skeptical considering some of the reviews, however, went forward with reserving a room. We normally stay at Disney hotels but we wanted to try something different. We are so glad we did and we will more than likely never stay anywhere else but here.
The rooms are even nicer in person then they look in the pictures. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite and it is so spacious with a full kitchen, livingroom, dining room, with seperate bedroom with Jacuzzi next to the bed. (Whi…ch is awesome in itself) I left out the balcony which is very convenient for smokers or if you just need fresh air. Did I mention I paid the SAME price as one of the value disney hotels? The ones that are tiny with the full size bed? Yeah… lol Ps… the beds are also amazing and huge! My tiny complaint is checkout is at 10:00… but not a huge deal!

We just stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check-in was very fast. The unit was large, clean, and beautifully furnished. Getting to the parks could not have been easier nor faster. We will most definitely be back!

We've been enjoying our stay at Westgate Lakes Resort very much. My husband and I decided on this place after reading lots of positive reviews and it has yet to disappoint. So far our only minor gripe was trying to find a place to park in order to check in as the spots are quite limited. We were later told that valet is complimentary but that is not made clear. Our room was lovely. Quite spacious, it was clean, the screened-in patio was nice and the hot tub was amazing. There are lots of amenities and places on site that don't require leaving the premises. Seven pools, a marketplace, various places to eat, and more. The resort is also located close to attractions like Magical Midway, Fun Spot America, and the Orlando Eye.

We are really enjoying our stay at Westgate Lakes Resort. Aside from the limited parking spaces when checking in (it is not made clear that valet is complimentary), the check in process was simple. A polite concierge guided us to the building where we would be staying and he took our bags up to the room for us. There are seven pools to choose from and there are conveniences on the premises including a marketplace, spa, several places to eat, and more. The hot tub in our room was incredible and we also liked the nice screened-in patio balcony.

We just checked in and so far the accommodations have been outstanding. Very spacious and the amenities are great. We have a huge Jacuzzi tub in our bedroom, a full sized kitchen, washer and dryer, full sized refrigerator, dishwasher. Very nice table for seating up to 6 people plus 3 chairs on the side bar next to the kitchen counter. Way more than we expected. The staff are exceptional. We haven't taken advantage of the many activities they have planned since we just checked in. Highly recommend this resort.

Great location, very close to all Disney World Parks and other Orlando attractions. Close enough (30 min) to the Orlando airport. Dining on site. Nice full kitchen 2 bedroom + rooms. Very friendly staff. Lots of activities and pools. Take a time share interview to get a great buy and free incentives for spending 45 minutes with the sales staff.

We've been coming here most times when in Orlando but has changed somewhat since 2001. The resort is fine for most but it's a timeshare resort. Deals are really good but have to do a 90 minute marketing session to potentially buy timeshare. You don't have to commit and say no everytime. 2 things I've noticed that drastically changed since 2001. It has become over populated for it size. It's apparent people are either buying timeshares or just getting the deal. The other thing that goes along with people are their vehicles of different types and sizes. It's very lucky to find parking in your building's lot. Its fill up fast after 6pm. So you end up driving around the resort for parking like everybody else. It's the same thing being in a crowded mall parking lot during holiday season. People even block, stand & hold car spaces then call their significant other the location. Yeah that kind of ridiculousness. You don't need that added stress on your vacation just for parking your car. It's horrible! They do have a 6 floor parking garage structure in the middle of the resort but you're out of luck if your building is farther away from it. Though they claim to provide a shuttle (golf car ride or mini bus? ), I've never waited and is faster to just walk it. At least in the morning, you'll have a nice brisk walk back to your car rather than finding it outside your building. So plan extra time for that.

The people here at Westgate Lakes are very accommodating. They seem to really care about their customers. My parents own a timeshare here in Orlando and they tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Westgate Lakes is located about 10 minutes away from the Universal parks and about 30 minutes away from Disney World so it's a very convenient location. They have activities going on in the resort quite often and as far as I know, they are very enjoyable. Overall a very good experience.

A very large hotel complex. There is a way out to the lake, a gift shop. Not very comfortable with parking tk always looking for a free space and sometimes it is very far from the building where the room is located. Conveniently, there are rooms with a kitchen. A stove, a minimum of utensils, a coffee maker, a toaster and a refrigerator were in the room. Its laundry. It's very convenient. Like your own apartment. The balcony is also with a good view of the lake. We liked it.

The Westgate is a great choice for someone looking to stay in Orlando and be close to the parks, without actually staying on property. The room was incredible; we had a one bedroom suite that included a complete kitchen with full size fridge and stocked with dishes, a washing machine and dryer, double sink and two-person jacuzzi tub with customizable lights. Very relaxing after a full day at Disney or Universal! The only reason I can’t give a full five stars is because the resort is a bit difficult to navigate, especially when you first arrive. Most of the staff are very helpful with this but some of them treat you like you’re in the way, and that’s very annoying. Not a huge concern with how little we were at the resort while we were in Florida on this trip but if we had been around more, this could have been a bigger issue. Speaking of staying longer, the food here is really quite good if you are going to be hanging around more. I ordered a burger from the on-site pub and had it brought up to my room, and it was absolutely delicious. There’s also Italian options, tons of pool bars and a nearly full grocery store that puts most most sundries shops to shame. You won’t need to remember to bring very much with you, as they likely have it there! If you want a very nice stay with a great room without paying the price of staying on theme park property, this is my first recommendation. I’d certainly stay again!

It was a great vacation resort. The place had an arcade a restaurant and multiple pools. They always had activities going on so there's always something going on during the day. The people are real helpful and they will strive to help you find what you need. The put put golf was fun and they had a nice spot on the lake with hammocks to relax on. I had a blast and will definitely be coming back.

Worth every penny! My family and I (family of 4) stood for 5days in building 60, 1king 1 sofa. The rooms were very luxurious, spacious, and clean. The view to a little island and the beautiful fireworks from Walt Disney at night was phenomenal. The staff were courteous and always kept our room clean and stocked. The pool parties from 11am-3pm were my daughters favorite part of the stay. We will definitely see you again Westgate!

In Beautiful Orlando, Florida these time share condos are gorgeous! Roomy, great views, with lots of amenities. We arrived for a tour and we were treated to Breakfast/Brunch/ Lunch. There's a "store" located on the property within walking distance from your condo. It carries a good variety of groceries. You don't have to leave the property. The pool area have cabanas and lounge chairs all around. There's a restaurant on the property also. There's a pier where you can walk out on and get some fishing in. There are ski jets, boats, and floats available for owners. But the good news is that they have property all over and is available for you to stay in on your next vacation! We loved the tour!

Good design, rooms are comfortable. Our experience was limited to the specific accommodation we rented and that was good. Amenities are almost overwhelming. Service is good and there is a good sense that security is seriously implemented. As expected shopping within the resort is exorbitantly expensive. Location was favourable for our holiday plans.

I just got back from my stay at the Westgate Lake Resort. I must say that I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff is very friendly and the room was nice sized and the kitchen was a real plus. I met really nice owners during my stay as well as other renters. I would absolutely stay here again. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because twice I had staff members tell me that they were busy without seeing what my need was. I understand that some people are just geared that way. Was not enough to make me not return. My daughter loved the space of the room and the privacy it provided her (she's 10… lol) Thanks Westgate for a great stay!

Main pool was closed for maintenance, vending machines broke, food extremely over priced in the market place. We had to park far from room because all of the spots by our room were filled. The good. The customer service was great, and the room was very nice! Pools were heated and hot tub felt great! Very close to parks, had a nice bar with decently priced drinks!

Have stayed here twice now and enjoyed both experiences. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, bright and large. Full kitchen makes traveling with 2 young children so much easier. Has text concierge service, first experience with it and very cool. Water Park is extremely nice for being on site and if you're there using someone else's timeshare the water park is free.

Stayed here for a Disney weekend getaway and was extremely disappointed. When walking the grounds of the hotel (day or night) it is a constant smell of weed. Additionally, you can see bongs and other inappropriate items on the patio of people staying on the first floor when walking around outside. We were also looking to enter the deli when returning from Disney, when we asked an employee what time the deli closes, his response was "sometimes they close early, sometimes they don't" without being able to give us true hours of operation. Turns out they were closed. The shuttle service back to your room only runs about every 15 minutes at night when you return from Disney, walking was faster… but during the walk is when you can hear blasting music, and smell all the weed in the air. The housekeepers came and knocked on our door at 9:15am on the day we were to checkout (checkout time is at 10am), even after we requested a late checkout (12pm). We yelled through our slumber that a late checkout was scheduled, she came back about 40 minutes later, knocking again, and proceeding to enter her key into the door. Once again, we had to yell through the door that we had a late checkout. We will not be staying here again.

Ideal to come with family, there are activities, it has a water park for both large and adult, the rooms are practically houses, have washing machine, dryer and kitchen complete the rooms a luxury, super recommended.

Staff was friendly enough and the price was affordable. We stayed in a "King Suite". Now a lot of outlets, I had to actually move the entertainment stand away from the wall and I had to pull out a drawer from the night stand just to be able to plug in my phone and laptop. Bathroom was nice. The bed was loud and easily slid off the frame. If you're not staying in your hotel often on a trip these things probably don't matter much. They do have some great amenities, but I did not partake in any. Very clean. Experience was a bit annoying because there was a large family next to us with kids screaming and loud music. Walls are very thin so expect noise from your neighbors.

Nice resort but I stayed at better hotels. Check in process was painful. They carried our room keys over to a guy to get a map for us who tried to get us to go to breakfast for a reward to sell there stuff. After refusing we still didn't get a map but we got our keys. Went to another person to ask for a map they said wait here for VIP services to "register us". I seen a map on the wall at this point and told my wife let's go. The rest of the visit has been nice with the exception of the music in the pool playing all night, loud enough to be bothersome through the windows. The beds were comfy and parking wasn't bad. The rooms are nice and clean. Would I come back? Yes, Now that I know their "check-in" process.

Excellent place very comfortable quiet ideal for family rooms great spacious and very good cleaning several pools and many activities to do I recommend go and they will like.

Good resort, I would give them 3 and a half stars. With my wife we were very lucky because we had a new unit 6 very wide with all comfort 6 with a beautiful view of the lake. Very good experience.

This is an awesome place to stay! I will diff recommend this place to anyone. They have all sorts of activities for the kids and adults.

I had read a lot of mixed reviews on Westgate and was hesitant to keep our reservation. I am happy we kept it though. Westgate Lakes is one of the nicest places I have stayed at. Our flight was early an they gave us a room a lot earlier then the normal check in. The room was spacious, the pools were clean, the staff was very helpful. The little store has everything you could possibly need. You will pay for the convenience but not that much more then the normal grocery store. There is a Wal-Mart less then a mile up the road. It's right of the expressway and about 12 minutes from Disney. They also have their own restaurant in the grounds an the food was really good. Our entire experience was amazing. We will return in the future for another stay.

It's perfect. The apartments are big and cute. It's in a very quiet area. The downside is the parking lot. There is no for everyone. If you end up you must go to leave it cerce and although the place puts at your disposal vehicles that return you to the buildings because nobody wants to have to go so far if you need to leave or take something out of the vehicle. Everything else is perfect.

We liked it and we have good memories, the only thing is that if you arrive late you run out of a parking lot nearby and you have to leave the car in any place. He missed a bit of cleanliness in the floor cleaning. I recommend them for the beauty of the area and the lakes.

It is very large, is comfortable ideal for families with children, has everything you need to spend a very pleasant time, very attentive staff 100 percent recommended.

After seeing some pretty crumby reviews we were weary. However, they were WRONG! This place was stunning and so much fun! Our room was clean, the staff was kind, and there was so much to do from the arcade to the fun do at the pool. We really enjoyed our stay and are counting down till we come back.

We stayed a week at the Orlando resort and it was a bad idea. When I asked where do we go to check in we were told one line and then after waiting 20 minutes we had to stand in a different line for another 20 minutes. We finally get checked in and get to our room. My husband went to the market to grab a snack and he was sold 3 YEAR old salomi. It had such a horrible smell. When he returned it the people working didn't care nor did they offered an apology. Then our room was not cleaned daily. Our boys took a bath we came back to the room and the soap scum was still in the bottom of the bath. We thought there was a little water park or play area for the kids like the website showed and when we get there it's coming soon. This was such a waste of money. I left my purse in a drawer and covered it when I came back it was moved and no longer covered. Luckily I didn't leave money or my wallet. Never again.

It’s our first time here and 3rd day of our visit. So far we have had an excellent service… no complaints!

We have a timeshare at this place although we aren't able to use it every time because we are very busy. To be exact this was our very first time to use it. The resort is nice and we'll kept. Conveniently located only 15 minutes from Disney or Universal studios. Our condo had a nice lake view and the pool nearby was clean. We didn't used any other amenities or services. Parking is a bit challenging if you come home late from a day trip, but not the end of the world. The reason why I only gave 4 stars because the condo could be a little more up to date and more maintained. (For example seems like they allow small dogs and seems like the guests before us had one with them and they probably locked him in the bathroom because the door frame was chewed inside. A lot…) (Or I could mention the furniture. I stored my t-shirts in one of the drawers and they became smelly… Probably someone before us used that particular drawer as a dirty laundry storage…) But I think things like these can happen in any hotel. Our condo also had a full size kitchen and washer and dryer. The balcony was fully wrapped with mosquito nets so no bugs which is great. The A/C under our windows were a bit noisy but after a long day being tired it didn't bother us too much… Our relatives stayed in a different unit and they weren't that lucky because they overlooked on a pool area and even late night it was very noisy they told us.

Been an owner here for over 20 years. It seems every time I come the experience gets worse and worse. Today I arrived and checked in around noon. Was told no rooms were ready at that time. No problem. They will call when one is ready. Skip ahead to 5 pm and after the third time stopping at the hospitality desk and getting the run around, I got back in line for the second time to wait. When I asked what was happening, I was told sorry, we forgot to call you and take your keys to hospitality where we said everything would be waiting. Btw, no welcome packet or anything like has always been the case.
Bottom line is this. I get treated like shit as an owner while the suckers in line stuck with the sales pitch get treated like royalty. Guess what you’re going to be treated as after you buy folks? Shit! Like the rest of us idiots.
I would not recommend this place to any perspective buyer. Ever. I will also enjoy my week telling potential buyers to run as well. Karma is a bitch.

The hotel as such is middle range; The cleaning service is rather low, they make the beds but the floors for example do not clean them every day; Also what are general consultations are not resolved with practicality. — but the most complicated and they have to be very careful is with the sale of timeshares, I for cheaper access to the talk of 90 minutes (which went to much more), is a talk to sell you a timeshare that to say in a way with a single No… no Bast To You have a very uncomfortable time in which the psychological pressure you are subjected to on vacation (when you lower your guard) is very large. Be cautious.

We are owners in time-share and we like to come back: spacious apartment, functional kitchen, amenities…

The room was very nice. Spacious, nice kitchen, washer and dryer. Staff was very friendly as well. However, we have small kids, including an infant and we couldn't even park in front of our building. If you don't get a parking spot by about 7 pm, your out of luck. We had to park in the parking garage and walk our kids to one of the farthest buildings at midnight while cars, including employee golf carts and shuttle vans, went speeding past us. Not fun. We stay in lots of hotels through the year and have never had this problem. Another issue we have never had a problem with at major hotel chains is weed. I don't mind what people do behind closed doors but when we pull up next to a car in the parking lot and try to get our small kids out of the car while marijuana smoke is pouring out of the car next to us, well, that's kinda ridiculous. This resort is a glorified apartment complex. If you can get past the parking issues and such, like I said, the complex is beautiful. We were very unsatisfied with some of these issues.

It's a really big resort. Registration/check-in, especially during peak time can be somewhat confusing as there are multiple desks to stop by at (first the key, then the welcome packet, then wait briefly on a sofa to go to a 3rd desk to be ushered to a golf cart to take you to your room). Parking, especially in the evening can be challenging as the spots fill up quickly. Overall the rooms are VERY spacious. There are many facilities on site. Would have been nice to have more breakfast options and to ensure that at least there is coffee in each room every morning.

Westgate exceeded my expectations the room was clean and beautiful, the beds were comfortable, the spa was warm, the bathrooms were clean, And the view was amazing. Felt like I was in my own place because things from dishes, towels etc were provided. I absolutely look forward to staying here again, the pics on line does no justice for how beautiful this place is. The staff was extremely nice whatever I needed from extra soap to a shuttle ride was simply amazing I would recommend this location to anyone. It is beautiful … a weekend stay was not long enough for me. Westgate you Rock! P. S. Parking is hard after 9pm so prepare to park in garage and either walk or shuttle back to room, hey as beautiful as my room was I didn’t mind; they also will send shuttle to pick you up… I am a satisfied customer!

If the hotel is a timeshare I would think another approach for buying or participating in the information to buy or not buy would and should be considered. Not every person who travels wants to hear a sales speech. We take our vacation to here because we only get a vacation once a year most families; I know personally I don’t want to hear the speech or be approached to even hear the sales pitch. I have lived in Florida I know pretty much all the sales speech’s there are. I would recommend a sign up and then possibly contacting only the people who actually want the information.

The best hotel/resort that I've ever stayed at. I will be staying here every Orlando visit. I booked the 2 room king size villa. The Jacuzzi tub was perfect after a long day from the theme park. This room has every thing you need. Just bring your own clothes. Very comfortable beds, clean rooms and ceiling shower heads. Beware, they will offer timeshare opportunities by offering $100 gift cards and free breakfast. It's not worth it if you don't plan on buying one. They always last longer than the 60 minutes that they tell you. And its hard for them to take your "NO" answer without 3 other people offering you a lower timeshare offer.

The best customer service very well located close to shopping area and theme parks in terms of expensive price but it makes up for the very comfortable spacious and equipped apt. Spectacular scenery.

Loved this place. Updated room or something, bed was great. Couches were nice leather. Kitchen was perfect. Loved the shower. Only draw back was not having a car. The place is huge. But the paddle boats in the marina looked like fun, free for owners. I was here for a convention around the corner so it was the cheapest suite I've ever had for three days.

Clean, well located resort… However, a bit in the years come. Service as always outstanding in America. However, some staff do not know guests as privileged…

My husband and I booked a getaway for our birthdays. We stayed for two nights in a one bedroom deluxe villa. The room was beautiful, clean, and had a lot of amenities. It was very spacious. The resort is close to everything which is so convenient. We scheduled a couples massage at the Serenity Spa and the spa is beautiful. The massages we got were so good and relaxing. We wish they offered a co-ed option for the amenities like the sauna and jacuzzi because there's really no point in booking a couples activity if you need to separate after the massage. We plan on returning with our two sons when the weather is warmer so we can take advantage of all the amenities and activities the resort has to offer. Can't wait for the water park to finish being constructed. The only problem I saw with the resort is the front entrance area and the parking available there. There's not enough parking for people to go check in or check out. There are a lot of cars, shuttles, and buses coming and going in a small area, golf carts everywhere and they drive fast and don't give right of way, and people walking where cars need to drive through. There definitely needs to be more parking available for guests at the front so they don't have to park far to then walk to the front lobby.

Very poor predisposition of the staff, fundamentally the people at reception. Not worth it for the price you get much better hotels, well located and with much better service and attention. I don't recommend it at all.

Lousy attention. We were there with my family, the hotel is not as it is seen in the photos with which they promote it and the people at reception, it is extremely unpleasant. Comply very badly to the tourist, almost contemptuously would say. We retired immediately and looked for another Resort where they really provide customer service, with kindness and respect, which they don't seem to know at this hotel. Never in my life would I ever approach this place again. Just awful.

The worst experience of our lives. We were invited (to our family) to a talk, supposedly of 90 minutes, to sell us a holiday, and we had a very unpleasant time. Bad people who do not see the possibility of obtaining economic benefits on your part, humiliate you, disrespect you and treat you with an immeasurable contempt. Really obnoxious and the facilities leave a lot to be desired. They should be punished with the full force of the law for these actions. With absolute certainty I would never step on that hotel again.

This place looks nice at first glance, but the looks are quite deceptive. There are multiple issues that would cause me to neither return, nor recommend this place to others. First, this is a very loud resort. Between traffic from I4 and verbose pool patrons, this is not a place for quiet relaxation. At night, it was difficult to fall asleep with the late night pool noise. Next, the room was sub par. The hotel seems to have very lax smoking regulations. The room smelled like marijuana and there was visible mold and mildew in the shower stall. The breakfast buffet is not very good and definitely not worth the $12 per person charge.

Upon arriving to the resort, it was very beautifully decorated for Christmas and I liked the fact that it was close to the parks. After that initial excitement, we were very disappointed. The room was very, very outdated, shower was dirty and room smelled of cigarettes. Beds had to of been made of cardboard, so hard and uncomfortable. The room was supposed to be decorated for my daughters birthday and had that ordered weeks in advance. That was really really a big disappointment when it was no ballon in sight. That next morning found ROACHES crawling around! Called to report and they office sent pest control. When pest control came he told us we were supposed to keep the bugs! Why? And how was I supposed to know, I have a small child who puts any and everything in his mouth! Why would I keep nasty bug. The manager told us they would call back to move us to another room. Never heard back from her! Please save your time and headache and go to another place. It’s a shame they’re trying to pitch in buying a timeshare out of a nasty, roach infested hotel. I would give — ZERO stars!

Very nice and comfortable, the bad thing is the delay in the route that make you to sell apartments when what you have in mind is vacation and go out everywhere.

All clean in order, good service with good location to go to the Disney parks and where you can buy your tickets to the parks with discounted, has area for fun of big and guys with an artificial lake to leitar the view and do kayak has near a Walm Art and a hospital in very complete end this resort.

This place is a long time family favorite. You can vacation here and not leave if you wanted to. They have a game room, restaurant, spa, gift shop, bowling alley, 7 pools, hot tubs, mini golf, small grocery store, plus much more! We enjoy spending a long weekend there or picking there for our annual vacation spot. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We love coming here and we always have a good time.

Nice place to visit. Resort was very well maintained and the unit was clean, furniture was recently updated and it has elevators. To our surprise, we had cleaners every day! Can't tell you how nice to come back after a long day to a cleaned condo. The condos are easily some of the most spacious I've been in. Balconies are screened and large enough to dine on them. Everyone at the resort was very nice and quite willing to go the extra mile to take care of any issues. Getting to the various parks is not difficult; takes about 7-10 minutes to Universal.

Resort is centrally located, close to all the parks and other places of interest. The building we stayed in was also close to many of the amenities and activities. The kids enjoyed the activities, though there was a small fee for each one. Many discounts for owners, like the gym and the Draft Sports bar. One disappointment was the owners breakfast. The potential owners breakfast was sausage, eggs, hash browns, and pastries yet the owner's breakfast was just pastries. It could at least be the same since it's only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The room was nice compared to the many properties we've been to. It was comfortable and fairly quiet considering we were near the pool. We are definitely enjoying our stay and will come back next year. I gave it a 5 even though I had a couple of issues because I thought a 4 was too low.

Resort with apartments for up to 8 people. Good location very close to Walmart. They offer to sell timeshares, which is a good option, but you must be clear on the pros and cons of each.

We stayed here during Hurricane Irma and were very impressed. We had always stayed at Disney properties when visiting Orlando so we never knew about Westgate. The grounds were very nice and so were the employees. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The dog policy is great and there are great walkways around the property to walk your pets. The store on site is very nice and has everything, too. We will definitely be back!

My parents have been owners here since Westgate Villas was under construction in the 1980s. My two sister's became owners in their own rights in the late 90s and early 2000s. I have stayed at the Lakes in the past, as well as the Towers, and the Villas (multitudes of times). This past stay was quite a disappointment, mind you, most stays here are a disappointment. The pools were dirty and filled with leaves, twigs, bugs, popsicle sticks and the like. Two Jacuzzis, at two different pool sites were non functional and there were paint chips (a lot… sticking to your skin… in your swimming attire) everywhere in the pool and out of it. The biggest word of WARNING I can express to you, coming from a child of parents who have been DEEDED owners (something Westgate no longer does) for over 30 years is to NEVER EVER buy into the timeshare. The maintenance fees go up everywhere and clearly it isn't maintained. You have been warned. Save your maintenance money for trips elsewhere where you don't have to pay to go to different Westgate resorts in different states even though you own.

Noisy and absolutely dismal restaurant.
The rooms on the other hand are very comfortable although old-fashioned.

Stayed for 10 days in August 2017. My family and I had an awesome experience. Everyone was nice! House keeping was superb. The grounds men were helpful. When the shuttle was unavailable they stepped in to help. The pools were great. The activities were great for kids. Everyone was courteous. Will certainly return.

Check in went smoothly and the guy we dealt with was pleasant. We knew from the beginning we would have to go to a timeshare presentation for the package deal we got. 90 minutes is what we were told. No big deal we thought. We were there at 7:30 and didn't leave until almost 11:30. After telling the original lady no several times that we would not purchase another man came out with a lower offer. Told him no. Then another lady came out with an even lower offer and told them no. Extremely pushy when we told them the timing wasn't right. Also, the room we were given had a dirty and broken bath tub and the furniture was paint splattered. We got the tickets for the amusement park but couldn't even use them the full day since the tour lasted more than the quoted 90 minutes.

We came here to escape Hurricane Irma and I wish it could've been for a more enjoyable reason because this place is very comfy and accommodating! Rooms are clean, spacious, and fully loaded for an extended stay. Given the circumstances and huge influx of guests, they've been very attentive and helpful in getting us situated — — we arrived very well ahead of check in time and they got us our room right away ("us" meaning myself, my retiree parents, my 97 year old grandmother, and two cats. ) Very grateful for the staff that is here working despite the statewide threat of this storm — — we all have our own homes to take care of but the staff remains upbeat and hospitable. We are so very grateful for the hospitality and safe haven; I will absolutely be back with friends in the future for our planned vacation to Disney World.

Not happy at all. Yelp reviews reported bed bugs as of Aug 8 2017. Even with that review, my family and I decided to take a chance. I always do a full sweep of any room we stay in to ensure cleanliness and no bed bugs. To our dismay, I found little tiny baby bed bugs on the sheets and mattress. I called the front desk. They were quick in accommodating a room change multiple times; however sure enough we found the same type of bugs on the sheets near the corner of the mattress seams in each of the rooms. So unhappy with this that we cancelled our stay. This was the first time my family and I would be heading to Disney World because they provided complimentary tickets and we added two additional for my children. Because we canceled we had to give back the tickets and now had to wait for the credit of reservation and two additional tickets purchased to post back to my bank account. 3-5 days for it to be available in my bank account. I'm really not happy that they were unwilling to make this right and now I have to wait for the money I spent on my stay and two extra tickets to post back to my account. Really disappointed with my experience. Fact of the matter is that we've stayed here a couple of years ago and really were looking forward to staying here again. Won't be coming back. Honestly with what we spent to stay here, I could have just gone and bought the tickets myself; not to mention the three hour waste of time and aggravation. Just terrible.

Friendliest resort I've ever been to. The entire staff was always smiling and ready to be of assistance. The studio room was clean, spacious, and had a HUGE balcony. We went on the timeshare presentation and even that was pleasant! (It didn't even take a full 90 minutes and we got a great deal on a future stay! ) Overall, this was a great vacation and we will definitely be back! I'd rate it 10 stars if I could!

Being a Westgate owner this is one of my favorite resort locations. The two bedroom is the way to go for families of 5 or more, plenty of space and Westgate provides all cleaning products needed for dishwasher and washing machine. The staff is very professional and responded to every need in a timely fashion. The guest who visit have to do their part and take care of the place their staying so the next family that comes behind them will have a great experience also. Westgate is currently adding a new building to the property and a water park which is expected to be completed in the next couple of years can't wait to return. The market place and sports bar is awesome and there's a bowling alley! Great food and family fun is awaiting your arrival. The only thing I would say needs to be on the property is a lager size Jacuzzi with the several pool locations. Overall I love this place!

Huge hotel, rooms are spread over a dozen or fifteen buildings, set quite clean and in good condition, nice staff, room service very decent, it is not about hotel rooms strictly speaking but small apartments (Condo? )
On the complex there are 7 swimming pools (all outside) with paddling and jacuzzi. Other activities are proposed.
On site, you will most certainly be asked to participate in a meeting (in the form of an invitation for a breakfast or dinner) where you will be offered to buy a room in timeshare…

Horrible timeshare and customer service. All Westgate Resorts are completely outdated. The room at Westgate Lakes smell, patio furniture are made of pvc pipes and cushions, fire alarm goes off in the middle of the night and elevator is constantly out of order. Even as a owner we get harassed to buy more "weeks" at newer resorts. Not worth the trip or money. DO NOT BUY! Even after you completely paid off the timeshare and pay your yearly maintenance, they are always charging some extra fees. I know plenty of other timeshares facilities that offer great customer service and do not harass their loyal owners. This establishment is the worst. Save your money and pay a little more for quality.

Rented a 4bd room, Which is advertised as having 3-King Beds, 2-Doubles & 3-Queen sleeper sofas. However, those are not the amenities provided, For the sleeper sofas I received 1-Queen & 2 Doubles. When anticipating adult guests there is a significant comfort difference between a Queen & a double. It should also be noted that it is not a true 4bedroom. It is a 2 bedroom & (2) — 1bd efficiencies. The 2 bedroom & one of the 1bd connected with a interior hallway. The other 1 bedroom efficiency was next door but separate, a separate key and no connection to the other rooms. The rooms are somewhat dated but very spacious. The 2 bedroom had a leak under the kitchen sink, due to a rusted garbage disposal. Maintenance did come by to check it out, and promised to return & correct the issue. However, it wasn't corrected before my departure. All three rooms had an ant infestation in the kitchens & bathrooms. And hot water in the efficiency rooms was minimal. Luckily we were in our room a very minimal amount of time.

Horrible experience. First room was horribly disgusting, AC vents and ceiling was thick in dust and door wouldn't lock. After complaining to front desk, we were moved to a second room and staff apologized for first room. Second room bearable but not 4 stars. It was a cold evening and unfortunately the Heater in the room was not functioning. After bearing a cold evening, we spent the day in orlando. We returned back to our room at around 10:00pm and as we walk into our room, it was clouded in marijuana smoke. Apparently the rooms share AC units with neighboring rooms. One of the neighbors were smoking cigarettes and marijuana and it filtered into our room. After speaking with front desk again, they sent security to our room and they banged on our door to have us move to another room. They did nothing to correct the issue with the neighbors smoking marijuana and cigarettes. Their staff is horrendous and rooms are run down. Do not recommend!
