Condo Hotel

Staff are friendly, but the bldg is in sad shape. One bathroom in our 2 room unit wasn't cleaned and we cleaned it ourselves. Also the air filter was so dirty that the a/c unit wouldn't cool properly. We requested a new filter and changed it ourselves. Our unit was a recently remodeled unit but had no TV in the 2nd room and the living room had a small 24in tv. We had to request an iron and towels as there weren't enough. The outside pool was nasty looking and had brown algae growing on the bottom and sides. There are no washer/dryer's in the unit so everyone has to wait on 1 washer/dryer on each floor, which is rough to say the least. $2.50 per load, so 1 wash/dryer will cost you $5. This place had suffered from a hurricane a couple years back so they were just starting repairs on the roof etc. So the resort looked like it had been in a war zone. The master bedroom shower leaked and sprayed out on the floor so you had to block it with the curtain, and the master bed was older as my wife and I felt as we were sliding towards the middle which was the low point of the bed as if the middle was broken down. Also it looked as if the floors were being held up by temporary poles, so I'm not sure how they pass codes inspections to allow for occupancy. On a positive note, the beach was fantastic.

I booked a room here prior to reading any reviews posted. I do agree that the exterior is rough and uninviting to the eye due to the last hurricane season. However, I enjoyed staying here and had lower expectations for it. This is a beach side resort with beach access in the parking lot. This section of the beach never seemed annoyingly busy as some parts more north had gotten the week we stayed. The room itself, was a one bedroom on the second floor with a patio view of the beach! The room still has an older feel to it but did have a small kitchen and two bathrooms. The bedroom was roomy with adequate storage for my belongings. The rooms use a physical key and somehow seemed secure and not secure at the same time. Everything in the unit worked perfectly though. The resort also offers a pool (with a deep end), a kid’s pool, and a hot tub outdoors. There were numerous chairs and a designated area where you can use a propane grill (gas included) next to a large family style picnic table. Overall, this is not your five-star resort but in all honesty, it was an enjoyable place to stay for a week. I am not sure what the price was on the actual room, so this review is not based on price whatsoever.

We were invited by friends to use the pool at the resort — it was plenty large and never got crowded. Overall a pleasant experience.

Pool was great. Loved that you could drive in beach. Had everything you could need but a washer and dryer.

We enjoy coming here every year. It's been a 35year family tradition! 3 generations enjoy being here for the week. Lots of activities and new friends!

I visited with my family at SBC, solid rooms, fully furnished and provided. Nice pool and near the beach. Great for the price :)

Location is excellent — the resort is right in the beach with no travel time at all, and very near to local boardwalk. Service is ok, staff were reasonably friendly but not always helpful. Rooms we stayed in sleep 6 comfortably with a small kitchen and dining area.

Needs some work from the past hurricanes. Sounds like work will begin soon. Can't wait to see results. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel, good location. Will have to warn however, make sure you read the papers given at check in. When checking out there is a procedure expected of you to adhere. If not, they WILL charge you for having to clean the room if not. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the room.

Staff was very friendly however our room was less than expected. I'll start with a rusty refrigerator and stove. I am also used to a washing machine and dryer in my own room, but at Silver Beach Club only 2 floors out of 6 have a pay for your laundry area. We stayed in a "2" bedroom and it wasn't anything like any other 2 bedroom condo that we are accustomed to… to get to the "master bedroom" you had to go through the other bedroom. One of the shining moments is that you will be right on the beach.

Very clean rooms and facilities, awesome staff, a little outdated but you can tell it's a work in progress. Beds aren't the most comfortable but I have slept on a lot worse. Worked with us on our late check in and early check out. Overall, a very good experience.

I don't want to be to hard on this place because of the hurricane this past year, we stayed here a week on our timeshare trade, our little studio was cramped, they do not furnish a lot of little things, you have to go ask for stuff, no beach towls offered either. The hot tub is poor did not work the last 3 days we were there. We will spend another week down the street, we already visited it, wow what a major difference coffee and filters and everything thing you need, donuts at the front. When you trade into a timeshare it should be a your home away from home. It was okay, nothing to get excited about, probably won't come back, did not take many pictures of the place either.

Great hotel, but has some issues. The hotel is oceanfront so when you are on the beach you can easily access your room. The problem it's that the shower is broken and I'm not sure if they have plans if fixing it any time soon. Service is good too. The pool is big and deep, 5ft 6in for the shallow end, and 8ft 6in for the deep end. It's pretty good in size and usually not too busy. Overall, I would recommend staying at Silver Beach Club. We come back every year.

If you like the beach, this is a great place to visit. We have been visiting this place with a beachfront view for over 25 years and have been very satisfied with it. The staff is extremely responsive and very friendly.

The Silver Beach Club is a nice oceanfront condos. It has a pool and oceanfront balconies. It's in the prime location.

Great price! Fun social events (Dj, bingo, ice cream and pizza parties) and friendly people. Would stay here again.

Nice stay for Jeep beach 2016

Bad, plumbing is awful, doors won't open properly even cut myself opening one doorknob.

Place is near cheap and has a pool. On the quieter side of beachside but that's a good thing.

I have been an owner for over 20 years. This year has truly revealed how bad Silver Beach Club is. I reserved a room for my now adult son to use this month (July). The pictures my son sent me of room 307 is worse than Motel 6 bug infested rooms. Right now they are claiming to have no available or better rooms. Believe me this is real. We may his reservations several months in advanced and called two days before his arrival to assure a nice room after reading recent low ratings. They changed his room to the present slum club room. Daytona Beach may not be the place or beach to vacation.

Guest of a owner, I say this if there's a problem and you bring it to the front desk attention, they make sure it gets taking care of. Even if they got to move you to another room. The internet not that great. There is talk that sometime before 2016 they be switching to Cox — Brighthouse. Last time I was there most of the rooms tech was from the 90's. This time they got all new stuff from the TV's to the matteress. I like the changes seems like there bringing this old building to 2015 instead of 1970. I wish the security was a little more pleasant. I noramlly come in Jan this is my first summer vacation. I loved it. Had a blast. Got sun burnt. If your big with internet usage bring your own. Wear lots of sun protection. And go inland to target or wallmart to get sun screen.

I have been staying with Silver Beach since 1991 and have loved it. Yes it could use a little tender, love and care but the staff have always been nice. The pool/hot tub/kid's pool are cleaned daily. They have daily activities on site including days with a DJ for a couple hours for a fun pool party. The rooms have been clean and no issues with maintenance or bugs. The location is great too as of this writing there are open lots on both sides so it has a bit of privacy and it is right in the middle of everything… not more than about a minute walk across the rear parking lot to the beach, right beside a beach access for your car if you are the type who wants to drive on the beach… right next to the bridge to head into the mainland… and close enough to the boardwalk and all it's entertainment to walk there if you want.
