Hi, me and my family just finished a vacation at the Bahama House in Daytona Beach. We come to Daytona Beach almost every summer. Daytona is my home away from home. When we walked into the hotel we were warmly greeted by the front desk agent Phoebe who checked us in. When we got to the room it was newly renovated, the kitchen was clean, the bathroom was massive and clean. The beds were so comfy. The balcony was huge and I'm able to see the ocean. My only downfall was the hot tub not working but 3 days before we left they got it fixed and the bubbles started working. I also enjoyed happy hour the pop corn was fantastic. The staff for happy hour were fantastic. Now with the breakfast. The breakfast was very good just that it can get packed in the morning but the breakfast lady called Karen was fantastic she warns everyone 5 minutes before breakfast is over. To conclude I want to say this hotel was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Anyone traveling to Daytona Beach I highly recommend this hotel. Loved our stay at Bahama House. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a little older, but does seem to have been partially updated. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is available from 7:30-9:30 with a fair selection, there is also a complementary happy hour every day with snacks provided. A definite bonus. There seemed to be a wide variety of folks staying at the hotel, from families with young kids to couples without kids. At times, the kids could get a little wound up at the pool, but you can always walk out and enjoy the beach! Great location! Overall, I don't think you would be disappointed.

Nice hotel right on the beach. Friendly staff, and although they were undergoing renovations, they did their best to make sure you enjoyed your stay. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms which was clean and more modern despite they hotel itself being decades old. The pool is heated and there is a dining room where they provide breakfast daily. Parking is very tight.

Great location. Clean, spacious rooms. Ours had a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave. The room was clean. The staff was great! Nice pool and directly on the beach. Average breakfast including cereals, breads, pastries, hard boiled eggs snd sausages, coffee, tea, juices with free happy hour open bar for one hour is included in the room rate. Underground parking is free and keeps your car cooler and the location is close to everything. Fresh cookies are also complimentary all day at the front desk.

Lobby is nice. Rooms on the other hand, not so much. Dirty, stinky, and pretty sure they have bugs. The hotel needs some updating. Had a "partial ocean view" which are the rooms located on the side. Fortunately it was the closest to the back of the building or it would have completely sucked. Patio was a nice size, as was the room. None the less, due to the smells, outdated bed and other furniture, plus the dirtiness, I think I would skip this place next time.

The Bahama House in Daytona Beach is a gem. It's clean, stylish, and up to date. You can walk outside and walk into the Atlantic Ocean with ONLY sand under your feet. Parking is conveniently right outside the door and FREE. The pool and hot tub are inviting. Don't forget their FREE happy hour everyday. The bartender will make your favorite alcoholic drink or hand you a beer for FREE! Bar snacks are FREE too. Add up all the FREE items and it's a no-brainer. Don't miss out and pay more somewhere else.

This is an old hotel, but what it lack in its contemporary decor (and its is not bad at all), is made up with the service. Cocktail hour is great, free breakfast is just right. The rooms are old, but you get what you pay for. They are not bad, but they are not like any newer resorts. If you keep your expectations correct, this is a great place. We have vacationed on very expensive resorts, and this one, but frankly, I cannot complain about anything. We had real good time because of the staff and the amenities.

Beds was very hard. My back is still hurting. Our rooms was supposed to be closed to each other but they was on different floors. Was unable to turn refrigerator down due to knob was off. TV sound was poor, small for room. Continental breakfast was terrible. Second day was a little bit better. They had free happy hour but only one girl was helping and crowd was too much, and she was real good. Housekeeping was very nice. Hot tub was not good for handicapped person. Would of been nice if they had ramp down to bottom where chairs was looking out over beach. All staff was very nice.

We just returned from a weeks stay at the Bahama House. Our daughter had a dance competition in Daytona. We loved our room and the view of the beach and beds were very comfortable. The breakfast and happy hour everyday were both very nice and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. We look foreword to our next trip to Daytona and hope to stay at the Bahama House again.

Nice heated pool and hot tub which worked out great for us since the weather was cooler than expected. Continental breakfast could be improved. There was no order, pancake machine kept stopping after every few orders. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

We really like this hotel. We just returned from a trip specifically set up to return this hotel. Clean, beautifully decorated rooms, right on the beach with ample chairs scattered around to enjoy the morning or afternoon sun. Happy hour daily with generous drink portions and snacks. Kind, knowledgeable staff — we had 2 evening meals out that were wonderful on the recomdation of the staff. We will be back again!

The Bahama house was fantastic. It was right on the beach, and the rooms were nice, and really clean. The staff was very friendly, and the free happy hour was wasn't too bad either. ;) All in all, a great experience.

Friendly staff. Rooms nice with comfortably bed. Ocean view was great. We had north side. Nice breakfast hard boiled eggs, yogurt, pancakes, meat changed daily, cereal and bread stuff. Good coffee. Very clean. Happy hour included. Nice efficiencies. Will definitely be back. Driving beach entrance by hotel.

I absolutely loved Bahama House. Just so worth it. The view, the proximity to the beach, an awesome pool and jacuzzi, clean rooms with a splash of colour and such pleasant people at the front desk. It just made our weekend. But the icing on the cake will always be their Cocktails and popcorn feature. Well, at least for me it was.

If I could I would give it 10 stars! My wife, kids, and myself rung in the new year @ Bahama House. The rooms were perfect, very clean and an awesome view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Happy hour was great. Breakfast is free so you can't complain about that. To top it all off you wont find many quality places such as this for the price. We will be back! Beautiful hotel with friendly employees but had to change rooms because the first one had ants and the ice machine didn't work and the second one had black ice. Awesome pool and hot tub. Breakfast and cocktail hour were good too.

Courteous employees. Amazing hot tub. Great Daytona beach access, nice breakfast. Everything around like groceries and quick food are close. No traffic. Great weekend vacation place.

Awesome place to stay! perfect ocean and pool view! It's so big you can call it an apartment! One of my favorite hotels in general. Breakfast was really good too! I hope you pick this hotel because from what I have seen its awesome!

LOVE almost everything about this place. Very nice room with an excellent view. Nice size kitchen and fridge. Great cable channels. Staff is very friendly and nice. Pool is heated which is a plus too, and right on the ocean. Our only complaint is the breakfast. Just wish they had some hot breakfast, even if it's just some scrambled eggs. Too many bread products — bagels, English muffins, donuts, danishes, etc. Would recommend even just a plain oatmeal with a couple toppings. We also really enjoyed the cocktail hour.

Our favorite place to stay when we want to enjoy the beach. They have updated the hotel since our last visit. The views from the rooms are wonderful. Check in person was very business like and not welcoming at all. She served during cocktail hour tonight and suggest if you ask someone to show their room key you should ask everyone. I felt offended. Was not asked the previous 2 nights, other lady was friendlier. It is nice to have a kitchenette in room but very limited accessories, not even a can opener. I recommend staying here, it's clean and smoke free.

Greeted with cookies, water, and lots of smiles! Stephanie was very welcoming. The atmosphere felt like family. Super comfy beds! Down home, beachy, and fun. We'll be back!

Wonderful hotel with great views, friendly staff, and awesome amenities. For my personal experience: my booking company had cancelled my reservation from under me, the hotel's front desk staff and management were extremely kind and helpful with getting the situation taken care of. The entire hotel is very warm and welcoming, giving great views of Daytona Beach, complementary breakfast, and free cocktails during cocktail hour. It is the hotel I recommend you stay at for your vacation in Daytona, and one I will personally be returning to.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like home. We love this place. It is clean. The rooms are large. The balcony overlooks the ocean. I can sit an drink coffee. They have free breakfast but also FREE cocktail hour. I love everyone and everything here. Book it! You won't regret it. It has become my go to Daytona spot from now on.

Friendly staff. Free breakfast. Happy hour is free and free snacks. Kids welcome for kiddie cocktails. Lovely views. Beach front. I only had a problem with adjusting the hot water in the shower. No smoking only outside. There are safes in the rooms for one dollar a day.

The perfect location! Right on the beach with beautiful views! It's not a national chain hotel so don't expect overly nice staff, but that is easily over looked with large rooms, comfortable beds! Free happy hour with free drinks, free breakfast AND you can bring your food and beverages to the pool, but no glass bottles! Kids welcome and kid friendly! Highly recommend.

Great prices and clean. Hotel made mistake Gave our room away so gave us one on water front. Thanks we had blast. PS don't tell other hotels but this only place allows you in pool and spa after hours. Just be respectful and keep noise down. Btw I believe one front desk lady makes cookies for taking on front desk. Lol loved them. Been twice.

Smooooke on the wateeer! People are smoking everywhere… accept the pool. My kids were disturbed by that. Room was old but clean. Staff quiet … and weird some times. Kitchen's staff for 4 persons only. Area around is empty and quiet… Almost nothing to do. Air conditioner was so laud… Door handle in a toilet hasn't worked. Otherwise, the kitchen was good enough for cooking and table bug enough for eating. Sand was great around the hotel. Plus there were not so many people there in the beach. (How I said before — empty area). I would add some more stars because of free breakfast or cocktails… but I can't. Still smelling as a cigaret…

I enjoyed my stay here, not being able to check in until 4pm was kind of a bummer but that was the only downfall. When we arrived to check in they had actually upgraded our room from the time we had booked and we had an excellent view of the beach and ocean. It is an older hotel but it was very clean, neat, and nice. Definitely will be staying here next year when we come back to visit again. The pricing is good too.

I actually stayed last year for my birthday in May and had an excellent time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I came from NC and arrived before check in and wasn't able to do an early check in because my room was not ready. It was ok tho I was able to enjoy the beach and relax downstairs till my room was ready. The cocktail hour was amazing. I plan to come back sometime this year but if not next year around my birthday I will be back. Thanx for such an amazing experience.

Stayed here for my sisters birthday. Can't complain at all. The front desk clerk looked a little frazled and the room was not ready at check in but other than that we all had a great time. Just spent this last weekend at the Hilton, dont waste your money there. Bahama House is a much better deal.

This was a great hotel for the price (we got a discounted Groupon). It was nice, on the beach, and clean! I would definitely recommend this hotel to people coming to Daytona Beach. And if I come again, I will most definitely stay here. Cocktail hour is such a plus!

This is our 3rd stay at Bahama House. The first time was amazing, 2nd time amazing, 3rd time not so much. The room was clean and meets expectations. (same kind of room as our other stays) It's the staff that is lacking. Upon arrival we were quite early (around noon) and asked if it was possible to check in before 3pm. I personally work in the hospitality business and understand that if you were sold out the night before that checking in before normal time would be difficult however when you're asked you do what you can to help to guest whether it is letting housekeeping know that you're looking for our room type when it's available so it can be communicated and alerted when available or making a note to call us when they update you on rooms. Neither of these were done. Instead we were told there was nothing available and when my husband asked if we could be told when ones ready and if there were a ballpark time frame the lady huffed and said "I don't know what you're asking… Check in is at 3pm and if you check in before 1pm it's $50 extra… " We asked to be called when one was ready and left. After going until 230 without being called we went in to check. This time the same lady huffed and said "omg" while shaking her head. 10 mins after that we were finally called for a room and before my husband got to the counter the lady was at it again huffing and shaking her head. He told her he was only there because they called him and she seemed to slightly change her attitude.

This place was great they recommended place to go that wouldn't be packed with tourists and even have us some coupons. Would definitely stay again if im ever in the area. Better than major brands.

The rooms are dated but clean, and the tv's are small. The staff is quite surly and act like they don't want to be there. We stayed in a room with a kitchenette and we found it to be very spacious. The free cocktail hour and breakfast was wonderful. There were a lot of old people and I felt that he wait staff catered to them and were annoyed with us young folks.

I absolutely adore this hotel! Very very accommodating! We took a last minute trip to Daytona in march and on the way down I looked up this hotel, I called and told them what was going on and when we would be there and what room we wanted. Well they couldn't have the room we wanted ready in time so they gave us an even better room at the same price. I will always stay at this hotel for future vacations. Oceanfront view was just amazing! Very friendly staff and clean rooms! Loved the pool. You can walk right out on to the beach. If I could give it more stars I would! We will be booking our vacation for August in the next month or so and we will definitely be staying here again! One thing I do wish they had was a oceanfront king room. Not just an ocean view. But I will take that any day just to stay here!

I've stayed here many times over the past decade or so and its always a good experience. I am actually here right now with my wife on our honeymoon and having a great time as always. The staff has been very pleasant, especially the lady working the breakfast this morning. Nice clean room/bathroom and you can have the sheets changed daily if you want. In another review the person said they had roaches in their room at night. I find that very hard to believe as I have said I have probably stayed at this places 10 times and never seen 1 bug in my room. Cleaning lady (windsom) is very nice. I will be staying here on my future trips to Daytona.

If I could rate lower I would. This hotel is filthy. It has a great cover to its book but please do not judge it by th photos. It is nothing like what you see on the website. My flesh crawled the entire time my husband and I were there because the linen wasn't fresh and it just looked dirty inside the room. He got up to get ice and saw roaches on the floor and that was it for us, we are literally on our way home at 12:32 am because we couldn't take it. Also one of the staff guys by the name of Sidney made a comment to my husband when he saw me come down stairs that was quite insulting, "is that your wife or the mother of your five kids? " Like really who really says something like that. Didn't find it funny at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Im really disappointed and itchy. Oh yeah we have an hour and thirty minute drive home.

This hotel has a beautiful view of beach, free cocktail hour. I would highly recommend this hotel!

I stayed with my mom and sister in 2005. I've stayed at some really posh and high end hotels in my day, yet this one blew me away and I hold all other hotels to the level of service we received over ten years later. One day I plan to come back to Florida, and when I visit again, I'll be sure to book here.

This is where our family reunion is every year. Love this place and staff.

Stayed at this resort spring break. Constant noise from elevator in a penthouse suite. Water leak cause water to be shut off for more than 8 hours. Staffs were not accommodating during water shutdown.

Nice clean hotel, stayed with the family here on a Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed the oceanview room with it's kitchen and full fridge (saves money on food and drinks). Hotel is not too big so not too many people so for us it was a plus. Pool area was very nice and quick access to the beach. Best part of it all was the nightly Cocktail Hour (Alcoholic Beverages). FREE drinks and snacks in the evening was right up my wife's alley! No mention of drink limit either. Would stay again for sure. The only thing I disliked was that check in time is at 3:00pm and when the time came the room was not ready. The other thing was that the hotel is located over 1 mile away from the pier, not too much of an issue but when you have a two year old it not easy to walk there and back.

The room was really clean, cool, comfortable and large. I loved the fact that even the side rooms had beautiful views of ocean. It is a smaller hotel and has an intimate feel. It looked well taken care off. Amenities were great and every employee I came in contact with was beyond pleasant. We had our own small kitchen and they even have a small underground parking lot — free parking too. And the pool and beach were very accessible. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

I had an excellent experience here. Pool is nice, it's right on the ocean, and the staff is very friendly. Our room was oceanfront with a great balcony, and was very clean.

I'll start by saying that everyone was so nice and helpful — Jane at the front desk helped me find my way around town, and by the way, what hotel have you ever stayed at that keeps fresh chocolate chip cookies at the front desk? :) My room was actually bigger than I'd expected, clean and breezy. This was a business trip, and my first time in Daytona Beach. If I come back, I'm staying at Bahama House.

Great location, amazing ocean view, and wonderful hotel staff. Very clean hotel. Soft plush towels. Lots of wonderful attractions within walking distance. They even have a social hour with free drinks and snacks from 5-6 pm. It's not all aces. The beds could be replaced and the carpets definitely need to be replaced. For the price, it is a wonderful hotel.
