Fab hotel with the best employees ever! This hotel meets what ever your needs are! Clean, spacious rooms with spectacular views! Best location in Fort Lauderdale. Close to airport and cruise ports! On the strip. Bridge to beach, walking distance to water taxi and fab restaurants! Beach chairs and umbrellas! Atila was the best employee! He went over and beyond for me. He helped me with my luggage and came to my room and weighed it for me. He even helped me to make the weight work by adding and subtracting items. Just a gentlemen and kind person. Our interaction ended with a huge hug! I have never been treated so professional, kind, considerate and patient by any hotel employee ever! And I do a lot of traveling. Please recognize him for his dedication to his job. All in all staying at this hotel was the best experience ever! Thank you!

Great hotel, especially for a wedding!

Visited 7/27/ — 7/31/22 Fantastic stay with my husband and special needs child. Accommodation: ocean front double had an amazing views and the expected confort of Westin brand. Food: signature restaurant on site is great, no delivery to room, but can order and pick up, Room service menu is limited. Cuban Sandwich was delicious. Service- Pool deck Staff — Maria, Martin, Billy & Shanique went above and beyond to ensure we enjoy our time. Special thanks to Shanique for keeping an extra eye on our special needs child and ensuring his food orders were quickly process. Check in was see less and our room was ready upon arrival about 12:00pm ET which allowed us to start our vacation immediate. Pet friendly! Thank you all for contributing towards a great stay!

Amazing hotel, highly recommend. On-site restaurants, gym space, and banquet areas. Staff are extremely helpful. Rooms are clean and quiet. Beachfront views are gorgeous.

We just had our high schools 50th reunion here. It was the best. We had over 250 people attending 2 nights of events. Our stay was longer and we had the most wonderful time. The staff is outstanding. If you want a first class event this is the place.

We loved our stay at the Westin. The location is great! Our room was very nice. Super comfortable bed. The hotel restaurant was very good! Hotel employees very helpful! Daniel at the front desk went out his way to be helpful. There are tons of shops and restaurants walking distance and a beautiful beach right there.

The staff is the friendliest staff you will ever meet… Everything they do is above and beyond. I always went for my early morning shakes which were fantastic! The hotel restaurant Lona has incredible Mexican cuisine, the pool with its chill trendy music and the walkway to the elevator above street level which drops you right on the beach is its most noteworthy feature. Great Location as well. 100% recommend.

A fabulous beach resort with friendly staff like Tashelle in the front desk and newly furnished rooms with heavenly 🛏️, gourmet Lona restaurant on the lobby level and decent pool.

Every hotel staff was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. The outstanding customer service made us feel like family and friends. The food is outstanding 👍👍. The Catering Manager and Sales Director were amazing and very flexible with all our requests. I am happy to be a faithful guest.

Got upgraded to a king bed ocean view suite in the south tower. You can tell the floor had been recently renovated, super clean. The room feels spacious. The view… words cannot describe the view. You can just leave the sliding door open and hear the ocean.

We stayed here over labor day weekend and it was very nice. They are renovating, but that did not bother us. Plenty of amenities and rooms are updated. Everything I'd expect from a Westin. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Very convenient spot.

We had a great stay. Overall the staff is extremely nice and willing to go above and beyond to make sure our stay is the best it possibly could be. The rooms are very nice and cleaned promptly every day. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Great customer service! After a long day of my flight being cancelled and waiting at the rental car place for 2 hours… the check in process at this hotel with Iris and Fabian was a breath of fresh air! They were exceptional! I would give them 10 stars if I could! We will definitely be back! Thanks again Iris and Fabian!

I am trying to get in touch with somebody (since the email contact we were given doesn't respond). We left the hotel on july 20th, we paid everything that night. They told us at the front desk that everything was ok and paid. When we arrived home my mom's credit card showed 2 charges by the westin. My mom sent an email asking what was being charged (because if we didnt pay for something of course we will pay) but it was strange considering they told us everything had been pa…id. We had no answer to the email asking what or why where those two amounts being put on her credit card. And this morning there was a third amount charged by the westin (considerably larger than the first two). Is there anyway we can get in touch with somebody who can explain if our bill was completely paid why we keep getting charged? And if for some reason we do owe these amounts why wasn't it charged when we asked for the bill at the front desk? When someone ask to pay the bill the final day shouldn't everything be in order? Should we expect more "surprises" on my mom's credit card? Please I am looking for an email that does respond and can give me and my mom son answers. Update: I was helped and my problem was resolved in a short amount of time and everybody who got in touch with me was kind, explained everything and was simply very helpful!

Took a mini getaway trip with my boys here. Service was impeccable and they were always asking how they can make our trip more enjoyable. We were upgraded to a full ocean view room which was amazing as we watched sunrises right from our room! (see photo, taken from our room). We also enjoyed the Lona restaurant. Extremely fresh guacamole (made at your table! ) and solid food overall. I gave only 4 stars as the rooms were nice but had seen wear and the Skywalk to the beach was broken. They are starting renovations on all the rooms this summer so I fully expect them to be 5 stars if we make it back here as my only minor items should be addressed.

Nice spot on the beach. The conference center was nice. The meals at the conference were good. If you love mushrooms I'm sure those meals were amazing. Anyways. I would give this place 4 stars if 3 things didn't happen. 1. Cockroach in my bathroom. Then it took them 4 hours to get back to me about fixing it. They thankfully moved me to a new room, partial ocean view. That was very nice. They then said that they would allow me a 2pm late check-out. Also very nice. Reason 2. They called me on the day of the late checkout saying I needed to GET OUT OF MY ROOM. I said, "the lady yesterday said I could leave at 2, no problem. " Then this new lady, very rudely said, FIFTY DOLLARS. I said "WHAT? " NO way. She said "YEP, 50 DOLLARS MORE" I said, "you know what, I've had enough of this. Go ahead DO IT. " 3.1st room view was a giant AC unit. 3. A Drinks at the pool are OUTRAGEOUSLY priced. 3. B Pool bar/food claims to stop at dawn, but they bail out of there early.

A comfortable weekend getaway with the beach within walking distance. What more can you ask for? Well, maybe a view… lol. We forgot to ask for one and had a view of the top of a smaller building. The bed was comfortable and the shower had great hot running water with a square rain shower head above and a hand held option. The toiletries were top notch. You can easily walk to find something to eat. If you’re looking for the low key option to hustle and bustle of south beach, this is it. I’ll be back.

Courtney at the front desk was knowledgeable, kind, and went out of her way to provide exceptional customer service. We had driven all night and she was able to get us checked in early and answer our questions on the surrounding areas. Reasonably priced hotel with a beach front view. Would definitely recommend this place!

Perfect location across the street from the beach. Nice, clean neighborhood in Ft Lauderdale. Decent gym and pool. Very nice staff all around. The bad: the hotel itself is aged and a bit dated. It's not unusual to see drips of water falling from the ceiling in a few spots around the hotel during rainy days. There was a bucket in front of my room door. Forced $39/day parking valet. The rooms are just okay. Outlets for computers and the like are not conviently located and bathrooms had shutter-like doors. TV was hard to control with the remote. Shower had no proper door — weird.

Location offers great views of Fort Lauderdale Beach on sunny days of course. Valet staff was friendly when greeted for parking and quick at returning my car when done. Lona was amazing for a great twist on Mexican American food. Fresh food, great taste and most importantly an amazing atmosphere. It's a must go to place and enjoy some relaxing time.

Very nice hotel. But they secretly charge you a “resort” fee of $40 for “amenities, ” whether you use them or not. It was never brought to my attention during booking, check in or check out. Just charged automatically. When asked about it they more or less told me to deal with it and hung up. Disappointing. My rating reflects their handling of it rather than the fee itself.

We arrived super early and the front desk staff has been amazing. Our room was upgraded to ocean view. The hotel is very clean we were blessed with breakfast the gentleman doing the omelettes superb. Our waitress pleasant and attentive the food was good. Finally our room was ready clean and very nice. We decided to hit the wave bar. Our server was not pleasant and I felt like we got on her nerves. We ordered the angus burger cooked perfect fries sub par cold. She handed us our food and walked away. She never asked how the food was but wanted a tip? I am huge on service and didn't feel like we were treated as good as others. The beach is public the water smelled horrible and the beach needed to be combed so much seaweed. We went to the pool very small and loaded with kids. Break down Family resort lots of kids Pets allowed Great in house staff Resort fee a bit high for towels and bottled water. Advice Wave bar all customers treated the same my husband works in the service industry.

Very nice hotel with great views of the beach just across the street. Staff was very accommodating. Amenities include 2 beach chairs and an umbrella that is already set up for you and complimentary bikes to check out among many other amenities.

Hotel has a good beach location with chairs and umbrellas included in your resort fee. Nice pool with a bar inside and out. Reasonable amenities. But one of the best customer service experiences you will ever have is with Stormin’ the Doorman! Fantastically helpful about the hotel and where everything is as well as local restaurants and things to do. All I can say is he made the stay awesome!

Great hotel. A little noisy but right near the beach. Priced right.! Rooms were clean and staff very nice. Bathroom doors a little funky.

During our week stay here our room was never cleaned before 5:00pm. We would come back from the beach and the room would not be cleaned. We requested for our room to be cleaned an hour before we left for the beach. Once we returned we would then have to go to the front desk to try to get some service. The staff is nice and it has a walkway over the highway with an elevator to the beach which is nice. But please do NOT stay here if you want your room cleaned in a timely fashion or if you want to be able to take a shower when you come back from the beach because you may not have fresh towels yet and your room may not be cleaned. Also the bathroom has a sliding door that doesn’t lock and a window — not kid friendly unless you like to not go to the bathroom in peace. Oh, last but not least, Wi-Fi is NOT complimentary. Hope this review will help your decision in choosing a hotel in the beach area.

A resort is defined as “an isolated place, self-contained commercial establishment that tries to provide most of a vacationer's wants, such as food, drink, lodging, sports, entertainment, and shopping, on the premises. The term resort may be used for a hotel property that provides an array of amenities, typically including entertainment and recreational activities”. When “resort” is mentioned, the Atlantis in the Bahamas comes to mind as does Beaches in Turks and Caicos. The …Westin Beach “Resort” in Fort Lauderdale falls FAR from the mark. Granted I planned our short getaway last minute during Spring Break and did not have a great amount of time to research properties. There were limited choices as many destinations were booked. First sign should have been that there was availability at your “resort”. I sent two emails prior to arrival with questions / comments but did not receive a response. The property said “newly transformed”. The room I booked was promoted as a “premium deluxe ocean view room with floor to ceiling windows and heavenly bed and bath”. It proved to be a small, musty, subpar room. The pool was small and overcrowded. While personnel encountered were cordial, you appeared to be understaffed and nobody went above and beyond. The front desk, bar, and other areas were generally staffed with one person and not once did we see a housekeeper (needless to say a towel change). There were limited to no activities onsite and nothing much in the area.

Hotel is in a great location. Pros: location, pool, restaurant is delicious, staff. We had a medical incident onsite and the front office staff, security and restaurant staff were amazing. They helped us get a cab quickly and even offered to drive us. When we got back to the hotel they offered us ice cream and a credit to our room (even though the incident was not the hotel’s fault)! Only complaint is the rooms are a bit small and dated, not exactly the Westin experience I’m used to. But all in all, a very pleasant stay and I’d definitely return!

Just wow! This hotel is in the perfect location on the strip, with a beachfront view. Customer service was supreme, especially Iris, the front desk agent. Her help made my stay memorable and I will definitely be returning! The food was great, and the drinks were strong and delicious! I was there for a work conference, but will definitely return for a vacation. The Weston exceeded my expectations.

My family loved staying at this resort, it's just a few minutes walk to the beach, right over the bridge. The suite includes a cute kitchen with microwave and fridge. Our kids love the warm cookies they get at the front desk, and the view outside our room was great with a good size balcony. We were able to walk to lots of local shops & restaurants and it was great to smell the clean ocean breeze from our room. The staff was great and very courteous. Our fanily would definitely come back.

Beautiful hotel, beachfront. A little expensive, but I always come back!

We spent the night — New Year's Eve — at The Westin while traveling home from vacation. Amazingly, the room was available hours early, and we were able to go right in! Free bottled water was provided. The staff was pleasant. The room was mostly comfortable, and the partial beach view was lovely. We had a king bed which was too soft for our liking but adequate. We were puzzled by a shuttered window between the bed & bathroom… opened, one could sit on the toilet, see someone in bed, and look out the window at the same time. Yay? But after our showers, this window seemed to vent steam directly above the bed (there was not bathroom fan). Our biggest complaint was that the hotel guests were noisy & rowdy throughout the afternoon & night, but it was New Year's, after all.

A bit dated for a Westin. Staff, how shall we say… not well groomed or well spoken to put it politely. Not the quality you'd expect from a Westin all the way around. It's ok but I wouldn't stay again unless the price was too good to pass up. For the same price, stay elsewhere.

Very nice location, very nice staff. Room was comfortable and clean, but the level of noise from neighboring rooms was much higher than what I'm used to due to families/children. Overall, I liked this Westin location and would stay here again.

The cost of the parking is 39 dollars per night. There is no good food service.

Top hotel, with super service and totally maintained. Optimal location on Beachoulevard.

Nice hotel very clean. But for the price you would think they would actually have the proper sheets for the beds. Not a bunch of flat sheets (no fitted sheets) that slide around and slip off of the bed. And the pillows are very soft, that made my neck hurt. Should have a firm pillow. And we requested a view of the Lagoon… which is actually just a parking lot so that was disappointing.

This is a good place and the location is right in front of the beach. I was there for a business trip. Only cons is I have chosen late check out when making the order on the website, to find out later that it is not possible. Too bad to have this kind of surprises. As it would've been really cool to get that option. Staff very friendly, mainly the gentlemen at the door and luggage handling. I would definitely recommend this place if you can get a good rate.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I will never go here again. We stayed here for my best friend's bachelorette party. No locks on the bathroom door. The way the door and window on the bathroom was set up was that you could see out but (hopefully) no one saw in. Mandatory valet parking, $40 each car. We had 3 cars and when we called in advance they mixed up our cars, even after giving them the correct ticket number and description. When I tried using the valet, one guy completely ignored me and then when I was getting helped by someone else he says "oh I didn't know you were staying here, I thought you were picking someone up. " I felt that was rude. All in all, the wedding and party were great but I will never recommend this place to anyone. I plan on never going back.

My family & I enjoyed our stay tremendously. The staff went above & beyond to ensure that our stay was enjoyable… everyone was so friendly and personable. The accomodations were top notch, right on the beach and strip… & the heated pool provided hours of enjoyment! Would definitely stay here again…

Stayed here two nights. Room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was right across the street from the beach and the view was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

The place is an amazing mix of nice people and total incompetence. I was there for nights. I called for various services. The handheld phone did not hold a charge. The guy picked up the phone dialed the front desk, got an answer and left. I called the next day, same complaints, same result. The ice maker was not working. The water line was closed. The housekeeping staff were the most incompetent of all. No consistency, did not replace used towels, actually turned the shower so water came at you instead of hitting the wall. Didn't replenish supplies like soap and shampoo. My complaints to the manager were met with hostility. I would not recommend that place except for 4 hour rentals. The bed was comfortable.

Rooms were very pretty and clean. Service was good. Location was pretty much on the beach. The bar in the hotel also had great food and drinks. In a nice area with lots of reatuants in walking distance.

Expensive, tons of hidden costs, and dated facilities. In addition to listed room rate + taxes they add an unadvertised $50 resort fee and MANDATORY $40 parking fee per night. On top of that I was put on a room next door to barking dogs. When I called the desk to complain I was told it was a pet friendly hotel and they wouldn't do anything. The tiny strip of beach was empty and dirty. Go down the coast 20 miles you'll find the beaches are much nicer with lots more to do.

Very nice resort. Staff are ever so friendly and eager to help. The down side is they charge a daily resort fee of $25.00/guest. This adds up quickly. The good side to it if ever one in your group users the services.

My family had two meals at the Sirens Restaurant, with mixed experiences. First dinner was very good with attentive service, good seafood and pleasant atmosphere. There after too many Televisions, which is distracting, but casual vibe. The brunch we had 2 days later was not as good service with the food less than average. They bottle of sparkling wine we ordered was warm and the server couldn't get out chilled, so they ended up taking out back. There are other better options very nearby.

Slightly outdated rooms but extremely functional and clean. Noise blocking is very good. I did not get the beach view room despite being a platinum member staying 12 nights. I was also on the south tower which is further away from the main entrance making it a bit of a walk in the morning. Aside from that the staff are really helpful and friendly. Valet is fast as well. Overall very good experience.

This is a very large Hotel of the old style. Walkways over the road to the beach. Rooms are nice. Not luxurious but totally adequate. Beach is fantastic and there's plenty of shopping in walking distance. Easy to get to from the airport as well.

We checked in the hotel on Thursday, June 29. During the evening, I cut my leg. My husband went to desk for bandaids. Robert the night manager came to check on it, had the security man, Leo, call the emergency dept (Jim and Tish) who responded very quickly. No stitches needed, but they cleaned the wound and bandaged it. This accident had nothing to do with the hotel, but they were so helpful. Robert even gave us coupons for free breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Great service. Nice room. Nice pool (but on the smaller side). The building is starting to show it's age in places, but generally well maintained. Pretty family friendly. They run specials occasionally if you plan ahead. We booked an executive suite like 6 months out for a little over $200 a night. It's nice to put the kids to bed in the separate bedroom of the suite so the wife and I can have a glass of wine and chill.

I've stayed at this hotel about 3 times in the past 4 years. The first time was great… but it has seriously gone downhill second and especially this last visit. Just stayed here this past weekend. I travel ALOT. I have to say this was the worst experience I've had service and cleanliness wise at any hotel I have ever stayed at. The housekeeping was the absolute worst. That has always been an issue but I let it slide the first visit. Room was never cleaned until after 3. So after being in the super hot sun all morning and afternoon, and going back to sit in the cool room for a few it was still a mess. One day came back at 5, 2 housekeeping carts in the hallway remained from the morning sitting there… same spot room still a mess. It was never even touched. At 5pm! Yes the do not disturb was off the door. Went to use the lobby bathrooms twice and both times could not find a clean stall. They were disgusting. The service at the pool bar was unbelievable… not in a good way. Weather it was busy or there was 2 pple sitting there and 4-5 pple working the bar, it seemed a bother to take our order. I waited for 15 min one day with me and 2 others at the bar… to even be acknowledged. Then another 20 min to get my check. Sometimes there was 4 people behind the bar ignoring you, and at most times there wasn't a soul behind there for a good 10 to 15 min. It was truly just not the way it should be. Drinks were excellent I will say that much.

The staff was great! The hotel is nice. I found the window from the bathroom to the bedroom disturbing. Why don't they just place done concrete there instead of having a window there? They are using one of those closet doors for the door and the window. I like a bit more privacy for my bathroom time. I had the king ocean view room. It was a great time though. The ton and food were both great!

Always alot going on here and its fairly costly — but that should be expected as it is a resort. Great view (ocean front) and good room set up. Would return.

Not a resort, not a Westin level property. Dated rooms, bad service at desk and rooms, inefficient valet/check in area. Trip was a mess start to finish, including a $575 incorrect charge to my bill. Tried to give the wrong room type at check-in, then the room had almost no air conditioning. Changed rooms to another dated room. Screwed up breakfast included in rate. The pool is small and crowded. Not relaxing for a getaway.

I stayed here in May 2016 in an ocean view room. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. I ate at the Waves Grill by the pool a few times, and the food was very good. The location was great because there are a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a place you can truly relax. The ocean view was amazing!

Well where do I start, from the moment we walked in the hotel our room wasn't ready. We requested a crib for our baby in the room they said it will be in your room, and it wasn't. We got charged a hotel fee, a resort fee, parking is terrible $39 overnight and $17 daily. We had to call and request our room to be clean. The room service is terrible. The carpet was wet because the air conditioner was leaking water. It was definitely not worth the money we spent for a room. Ended up paying over $1600 for this 1 bedroom hotel. We didn't even feel the resort lavish experience. Please spend your money somewhere else. We should of booked with The Hilton!

This hotel was terrible. The pool was dirty. Not enough umbrellas for guests. The room had a smell. And can you believe no one came to make my bed. This was the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Got better service at Days Inn. They charge you 36 dollars a day for you car. And 30 dollars a day for resort fee. This is no resort. Stay away there are so may newer hotels on the beach.

Jessica took Great care of us the weekend we were there. Great customer service over all. Nice and clean and great view from the ocean front room. Thanks to the entire staff and specially Jessica, we had a great time while we stayed there.

Rooms were clean and very comfortable beds. The amenities are very accesible and convenient. Access to the beach is easy via the skybridge but one of the elevators did not work and was unmarked. Down side are the personnel. Similar to the Westin at the Detroit Airport, the front desk personnel were not rude but not very welcoming. However, even the bartenders and servers at the bar are not very customer service oriented, sometimes having you stand in front of the bar of minutes without a single acknowledgement of your presence. This was more obvious at the small inside bar, right before the pool exist were both bar connects via an opening (one of the female bartenders was the most friendly of them). The valet personnel were rude and you can describe them as scoundrels. Although a private property may charge parking fees to handicap and non-handicap guest, the established handicap spaces (required by law) were being used for valet guests driving luxury cars that provided a tip a the front end (eg, a Maserati) ; Denying access to handicap guest with a proper handicap permit issued by the state.

Charged for everything 25.00 to use a jacuzzi come on man. Pool was nice view was good close to beach. Shower in bathroom was great parking 36.00 valet and expected a tip every time they got my car valet was only parking option. Was good but wil stay elsewhere next time.

I have to say that I was a bit disappointed. Admittedly my expectations were a little higher considering the cost for a smallish room that was not ocean facing. Initially the $38/day Valet Parking and the $31/day resort fee were a bit excessive but I did not let that damper my spirits — just a little dissapointing surprise. Then the rooms were a bit dated. There was no door on the shower by design and water ended up on the floor. The sliding door for the bathroom was broken and my fiance could not close it. They did repair it quickly to their credit. Then the keys stopped working — the green light came on but the door would not open. They did fix that relatively quickly too but it started a pattern with 2 broken items in 2 days. I had specifically asked the maid for more soap and towels but she did not leave extras as I asked and I had to dry off with a used towel and combine water with the left-over shampoo bottles to get my hair washed. The rooms were nice I am sure back in 1979 but today seem a bit dated for the price. I will say that the employees were nice but overall I felt nickeled and dimed in an over-priced, dated facility. The location is nice of course so it was not all bad. Overall I give it 2.5 out 5 stars (rounded to 2 since they do not provide for fractions) I recommend the owners renovate and get rid of the "Resort fee" as the gym is little more than a handful of treadmills.

Had a wonderful time at this location! Everyone was very accommodating and friendly! The food at the restaurants was always delicious! A big shout out to Cory and Demetrius, the pool attendants, who were there to meet our every need! Definitely going back!

The service is a little slow food is very good.

Ripoff alert 289, + tax became 404 charged to my card after feed that were not mentioned when I booked Valet parking mandatory 35.00 and my car was moved around during the night. Room smelled. Supposed to be oceanfront. Was not. 30.00 Redort fee is total BS. Basic Wi-Fi and 3 cheap waters. Restaurant is garbage and expensive. Avoid these con man crooks.

My family and I stayed here for 5 days over Christmas break and we were very disappointed with this hotel. We stayed at the Marriot beach resort on Hollywood beach over the 4th of July weekend and had a much better experience, and was treated much better by staff all around! The pros: -BEAUTIFUL view! We had an ocean view room, on the 12th floor. Our room was at the end of the building, so we had 2 walls that were nothing but floor to ceiling windows. One view was the ocean, and the other was partial of the intercostal. That was amazing! No balcony, but the windows slide open like a patio, so you have the same effect, without being able to actually sit outside. -You are basically on the beach, with a cross walk bridge that goes over the main road so you don't have to worry about crossing the busy street. -The room was extremely spacious, and fit our group with room to spare. We had 3 adults, and a pre-teen. The cons: — THE POOL CLOSES AT 6PM! The pool is also a tad on the smaller side, and is extremely crowded during the day. — The bellhops are amazing, other than that the majority of the staff is very rude, and treats you like you are a bother to them! One of the days my son and I were standing in the lobby looking in the direction of the gift shop, which was closed at the time. The lady inside cracked the door open slightly and says "What do you want! " I told her that my son was just looking at the items though the window, and she said "I'm closed right now!

Pros: 1. Great location. Right at the beach and short distance to restaurants/shopping/airport. 2. Staff is friendly Cons: 1. Parking is ridiculously high. I paid $36+tax daily in parking plus a $30 daily resort fee. That's almost $70 daily extra that you have to shell out. 2. No free internet 3. Room was just OK for the price you pay. Carpet was dirty, no exhaust in the bathroom and a weirdly placed bathroom window means very little privacy. 4. Chairs on the beach were $40 even for hotel guests. I saw complementary chairs for other hotel guests on the same beach. I will likely look for another hotel for the price I ended up paying.

Very expensive for what it is. Resort fee is crap and service was nothing special. Better hotels in the area. Found a dead cockroach in the room. While the interior has been updated (Nice big TV), the structure is very old. I don't expect a Westin to track towel service so you don't take them, that tells me there is poor management. Stuff like that makes me feel like I'm in the ghetto and not a Westin. Did I mention I hate useless resort fees, again probably becuase of poor greety management. This Westin is one of those hotels I put on my "NO GO" list for SPG Platinum/Gold members. Stay away specially if buring points, go to Hawaii instead.

The Westin beach resort is a great facility. The establishments pool area, as well as the pool service was amazing. The rooms were a bit small, but hey its the westin. One thing is the valet fee of 36 + tax and another 30 dollars on top for resort fees.

Great location and the bed was comfortable. Parking was overpriced but was able to negotiate a lower rate since I was staying there for 10 days. Restaurant food is ok but there are better options in the area. I do love their initiative to give an option to forgo cleaning and receive a $5 voucher per day missed that you can redeem in the hotel.

Not the best and not the worst of the major hotels along the beach in this part of town. The hotel restaurant was ghost town the week that I was there and the outdoor bar and cafe was recently remodeled but that toobwas empty most night. Fine for a short stay but I'd look elsewhere for nightlife.

We were there for a convention the end of September. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I was disappointed with the accommodations. We were on the 4th floor and our room over looked a brick wall with vines on it, also we were next to elevator and heard it running all night. The desk chair in our room had a broken back so you could not sit in it. I had a maicure and pedicure from the spa and went home with a foot fungus finally getting rid of a month later. I had expected more from the Westin Resort, they have a reputation of exceptional services but I did not see this at this location.

We loved it. All of the hotel staff are super nice. When I say everyone I mean everyone from the front desk to the valet driver were so so nice. The always made sure we were well taken care of. My room were super clean, with a great view of the pool and beach. The pool was excellent. They even have their own walkway across A1A to get to the beach without having to run across the street. The food and drinks at the restaurant were great. We are definitely coming back. In fact we are already plannim our next stay.

My husband and I had extremely limited time to celebrate our Babymoon because of work constraints. We originally booked at a different "beach front" hotel in Fort Lauderdale Beach and it was awful. We are late 20s and mid 30s and very middle class. The other hotel was frightening at best with a ten minute walk to the beach. Since we had such limited time my husband agreed to book at the Westin and move hotels. That single decision saved our trip. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. Valerie at check in made our day! She was so thoughtful and informative. She asked why we were there and upgraded us to an ocean view room to help us celebrate. We were given drink coupons but we didn't have a chance to use them. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view. We did have an issue with our bill the next morning because we booked last minute with a third party booking company. One call to the front desk and they took care of it within the hour, called to give us an update, and reversed the extra charge. Who can be upset with service like that? The next morning Valerie saw us, remembered our trip details, and asked when our flight out was. She was able to extend a nice late checkout so we weren't in limbo before heading to the airport! We've never had such amazing customer service at a hotel. The hotel has beach towels to easily check out and a full Starbucks on site! We would recommend this hotel to anyone we care about and I can't wait to go back one day!

Do not stay here! Was here for work and it is not a hotel to rent any conference room for business. It's party central. Conference rooms are right by the pool so be prepared to see people barely covered at all hours of the day and noise, noise, noise — 24 x 7. Loud parties with no enforcement of any quiet hours — which is hilarious given their "spa" advertising about relaxing and feeling good about staying here. The staff is inconsistent with helpfulness and knowledge about the property. Not a good experience.

Do not stay here. That's as simple of a warning as I can convey but I'll spell out why in the rest of this review. This is the first hotel that was so unsatisfactory we checked out four hours after arriving and drove home, even though the room is already paid for. That's how bad it was. First, this is a really crappy part of Fort Lauderdale. The much nicer part of town is farther south where Lauderdale meets Hollywood. That part of town has a nice, wide beach with a board walk with lots of food options and you can walk from place to place. In this part of Fort Lauderdale there is no board walk and the beach is a strip of sand about 15 yards wide that fills up fast. If you want to experience the real Fort Lauderdale, the Bayshore area is not where you want to stay. Undisclosed Fees — This hotel socks you $36 a day for parking and there is no free parking option. Many of the resorts in the area lease their parking lots to an outside valet company in exchange for a cut of the revenue. If they disclosed that fee, we never would have stayed here because you're also paying a $25 a day resort fee, which they did disclose. If you have a car that's an extra $61 a day just for staying in a room you already paid for. Bait and switch their speciality — They tell you bottled water is free but the bottled water in your room is $6. There are a thousand land mines like that here. Okay, resort areas are always a rip but this one takes corporate gotcha to a whole new level.

Inpolite staff in the restaurant and noisy AC in our sweet… Shabby hotel, disgusting door to outside restaurant, but a nice ocean view.

Staff is very nice and overall hotel experience hotel was nice. However, double beds are smaller than in other hotels, you basically wont be able to sleep with somebody else on it. And the worst is the bathroom, it has a wooden swing window with holes and closet style door. Absolutely no sound isolation. I dont know what retard architect has designed it, but I wont be staying in this hotel anymore simply because of that.

Took my sister to Ft. Lauderdale for a get away and as we walked on the beach front we walked in to the Heavenly Spa which is part of the Westin hotel to see if we could get an appointment. The front desk servers could not have been any nicer and accommodating. Our service was excellent. My massage therapist was Lucy and my sister's therapist was Anetta and Trinh. We left completely satisfied.

Storm was very helpful when we arrived. Our room was very clean and had a fantastic view. The bar staff was great and the pool was equally so. The front desk arranged rides for us to and from where we needed to be. Overall we had a great experience and would stay here again.

Think of the many things you could do with $300 a day before considering spending it here. We got a room right beside the elevators that kept us awake all night. Asked about a different room and staff said they would find something and call me within about an hour. No call. Bathroom was right beside the bed and it had a louvered door. Great for privacy. No. Option beside valet parking and I can't even tell you how much it cost because I couldn't get a receipt at checkout. I've been an SPG member for years but quit staying there after experiencing Marriot. Beach access is ok because they have an overpass but it's in incredibly poor shape.

Terrible manager CHRIS. Kept me at front desk for over 30 minutes on a simple spg mistake. Didn't care at all about the customer. Showed him proof. He called me a liar. I stayed here a bunch of times in many states and because of Chris the front desk manager I will never step foot into another Westin. Goes to show you how hospitality at hotels means so much. Room bathrooms we're terrible anyway and staff was very amature like. When I'm staying at 4.5 star hotel. I expect to be treated as such. Hilton next door treats you better.

I highly recommend staying here. The location, accommodations, and staff are outstanding. I had an amazing view of the ocean front from my hotel room and felt very cared for by all members of the staff. The hotel and rooms are very clean. There are luxurious robes in the rooms and a mini-fridge available. I was a five minute walk from the beach. The bed was really comfortable and I really appreciated the down pillows. The hotel is within a short walking distance of several restaurants and shopping areas and within a very reasonable distance from many local attractions. Pay the extra money for the ocean view room, it's so worth it.

I have stayed here every year for the last 5-6 years to celebrate my special occasions but I will not be staying here or any possibly any other Starwood hotels again. It started when I couldn't get there the day of check-in due to surgery/illness and when I called the lady said she would take it off unless I was getting in early then she could hold my room. I told her no, it wouldn't be early so no need to hold it. I got in at 1:00pm the next day and they made me pay for the whole night before anyway. The front desk girl was incompetent charging me the full amount for the entire stay, plus a $200 fee, which they usually only do if you are paying cash or debit, and I have never had to do that before. Omar, the manager, was really rude and snobbish to me, when it is his job to help customers and especially returning guest. They used to have a really nice pool manager, Ray, but he is gone and the new manager Joe, is sarcastic and makes fun of guests. They only person left there who is nice is the pool guy Kevin. I called Starwood and the supposed manager they transferred me to didn't know what he was talking about because he said the hotel wrote I checked in at 1:00am and when I told him I could send him my flight information, he just continued to make excuses for the hotel. He tried to tell me maybe I handed the girl my debit card after I just got done telling him I refused to give my debit because I couldn't fight charges if I pay with a debit.

The hotel is in a good location. However, there is no complimentary anything. For example breakfast, coffee, Wi-Fi, and many channels on TV are all counted as extras. I did not enjoy my visit. I also fealt like the food was over priced. There should never be a $8 bowl of cereal.

The hotel is beautiful! The workers there are extremely friendly. The hotel is very modern and clean. However, I came with my father on business so many of the expenses were paid for by his company. His company picked up basically all of the expenses so I didn't notice how expensive things got as some of the previous reviewers did like the valet parking). As nice as of a hotel it is, I prefer "mom-and-pop" places. The hotel was too large for my liking, and very corporate, which is what you get on business trips. I personally prefer the water on the Gulf Coast of Florida rather than the Atlantic, but the proximity to the beach was great! I was only on the deck once to use the beach skywalk (which they were fixing the elevators) and I am not a pool person, so I am lacking on that subject. The pool wasn't full but also weather wasn't nice that day. There's also a gift shop, a bar on the deck, and restaurant on premises. The hotel is on a main drag, with good (but some expensive) professional and beachy restaurants alike. The workers were very nice and informative my entire stay. Buyer beware: the hotel is so large it's split up into two buildings, and is confusing to navigate the first night or so (aka the length of my stay) and confusing to delivery people as well lol. Overall, I think it was a nice hotel and pretty well priced a night for what it was, but I don't think I'll be going again.

Outrageous price for required valet parking. Pet friendly hotel with free dog poo smashed into carpet. Only 1 pool (jacuzzi cost 15.00 per person extra) for the entire resort and not exactly Olympic sized-fully packed during the day. I ranked this hotel based on: start at 5 stars and reduce 1 star for each noticeable and day changing experience. Fair enough right? Hence the reason why this hotel has fallen to only 2 stars. I would recommend hilton or marriott or the W. Mainly because of their newness.

I was in sept-12 with my wife and 2 teenage daughters. Design and the facilities are good, nice pool and good service.

Excellent, highly recommended.
