Went here a while back and had a great experience. The staff offered us a private room for a very small upcharge which was nice. Cleaner than some hostels I've stayed at. PROS: Clean, inexpensive, bike rental, beach proximity, staff, parking. CONS: not beachfront.

The hostel is awesome. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very fresh and clean. Amazing pool outside.

I travel for a living and stay and lots and lots of places I absolutely will go back to this place I loved it it's clean it's friendly it has a pool it's safe you can sit outside at night in an enclosed area they have things for you to have fun with on the beach chairs paddles it's great it's a great place.

For a cheap little motel, it was great! Clean, nice pool, really close to beaches and other attractions. Cool culture and lots of interesting people.

I wanted to keep this place a secret and not review it but I can't help myself it's one of the nicest places I've stayed it's clean friendly they take great care of everything the kitchen is stocked with spices and silverware plates they're very efficient ask a question it gets answered and done they have bicycles for you boogie boards there's plenty of seating outside in the sun the pool is sparkling I really can't say enough good things about this hostel I love it and I'll be returning year after year.

I had a great time at Hotel Deauville. The front desk lady was very nice and the room was clean. I was also a late check-in and the directions they provided for someone in my situation was very simple and to the point. The location is Great with the beach just two blocks away and the bus stop at the corner. Overall it is a great value for the money spent.

This is basically a hostel, but the shared amenities are much cleaner and of a higher quality than one would expect in America, where travels need to be pampered but those who don't want to pay for a private hotel room are considered human garbage.

Nicest and quietest hostel I've ever been in. This was way nicer than expected. Perfectly clean rooms and bathroom that smell good when you walk in. There's a pool right outside your room, and some nice sitting areas. 2 blocks from the beach, and the dorm rooms even have their own microwave and refrigerator. If you're looking for a rowdy party hostel, this is not the place, but it's perfect for a relaxing cheap accommodation by the beach.

I have stayed here probably 12-15 times in the last two years. I LOVE this place! I needed an inexpensive, safe place with a warm bed and hot shower in the morning for my short work trips from the west coast of Florida. I found this and haven’t stayed anywhere else since! It also is a short walk to the beach, has a pool and I always meet people traveling from other countries, which I find so much fun! I’ve been meaning to review them for quite awhile, just never took the time. The only con is occasional parking issues, and that they are sometimes booked but they have been great to me since I stay so often. Sometimes they will try to rearrange things and find me space & it’s always worked out. Can’t say enough about my ‘home away from home’! I’ll be staying there again this weekend :)

Small, centrally located and family-run hotel. Everything is small and cosy. The rooms have a separate kitchen and are lovingly furnished with small details (spüli, sponge, towels, pictures, soap). There is a relatively large swimming pool for the small accommodation. You can sit outside and do BBQ with the other guests.
What we didn't like so much was that the Wi-Fi was very slow and broke down again and again (bad just if you want to download maps for offline use or check in for the flight: () In addition, the floor of the room was totally greasy and the sole The flip flops we wore in the room was black afterwards … The mattress was seeeeeeehr soft and above us (on the roof? ) you frequently heard a scratching and crunching as if there were any animals there … Therefore, unfortunately, unfortunately only three stars.

I've been staying here in this hotel for a long time on and off especially during the winter I originally gave you all four stars but I will no longer be coming there because to Pacific Employees one is Georgina she has a real nasty attitude and does not know how to talk to people she is very rude and I will be telling a lot of people about this and then there's also Ryan who's supposed to be the maintenance man but everytime I see him he's too busy high on drugs or prescription pills cuz that's the first thing you asked me about was the bills far as rest of the staff there are very helpful and friendly that goes with Yolanda Jennifer and Priscilla like I said Georgina and Ryan will be the reason I never come back there!

A must stay place. Extremely clean, friendly, walk to the beach. Pool and tanning area is really good. The hotel offers beach chairs and towel, at no cost. Absolutely, will return.

This is the best hostel I ever stayed not even close pool kitchen location.

Amazing value. Location is only draw back (about 10-20 mins from downtown Ft. Lauderdale) but the more private beach, great staff & well maintained rooms more than make up for it. It may not look amazing from the outside as you drive by but once you're inside the gates it's amazing, truly a great atmosphere for backpackers and holiday makers alike.

First ever time at a hostel, so did not know what to expect. Only stayed for one night, so cannot give a good review. That being said, the manager was nice, rooms were clean, and the bathroom was spotless.

Pricey for a hostel but well worth it. It felt safe, was clean, and was right next to the beach. I was lucky enough to snag a room for 5 girls last minute after other plans fell through. Staff was friendly & incredibly accommodating — gave us great local advice, made sure we all roomed together, & even stored our luggage between check-ins. If we stayed longer we would've certainly used the pool, the laundry machines, & the kitchen. Would definitely stay here again!

For my first time in a hostel I was impressed they go to "great lengths" to keep it sanitary at all times. The only issue is parking because of the location of the building. Very adult oriented people with common sense. If you like loud party atmosphere go to South Beach this isn't for you. If you need to just relax and chill this is your place.

This place is great. Kyle was very helpful and nice during my stay here. He was always working and if a guest needed something he would help right away. I would recommend this place to everyone I knoe.

So friendly here. Everyone is basically the greatest neighbors you meet new people and everyone is friendly. Greatest decision stqying here and plus its right at the beach!

Location is great-right by the beach and really close to several restaurants/bars. It's about at 45 minute walk to the main part of the beach but it's not necessary to travel down there — there are more than enough people around the hostels beach area. If you do want to go further down the main drag bus is super convenient. There is also a bus connection not too far from the hostel that can take you to the galleria mall, where there is also a grocery store and restaurants. The rooms are totally fine — nothing was really wrong with the facilities. There's even a pool! The only thing I did not like about this place were the middle aged men that seemed to call hotel Deauville home. It's not the normal hostel Vibe all. This is my second time staying here at different times of the year and it's my last. It's just a weird mix between the handful of true travelers and then south Florida natives that live here for weeks on end. If you're in Lauderdale for yacht work just pay a little extra and stay at a crew house.

Older crowd than a typical hostel. Nice pool, good service. I'd stay there again over a low rated hotel.

This is a hostel, not a hotel! Didn't like the atmosphere very much. Street is very loud.

I stayed here a week, love this place. Staff are very friendly and accommodating on a daily. Pool is awesome, beach is literally a block away. Rooms are clean and very comfortable, when I come back to Ft Lauderdale will be staying here again.

Tried calling directly on a Sunday morning as I needed to find out if they had any rooms available for a last minute 2 night stay pre-cruise. I read many good reviews and since we were traveling on a budget, it appeared to be a good option. The gentleman who answered the phone had a bit of an accent and I didn 't catch his name. I immediately stated I was seeking availability of a private room. He rated he was checking someone in and hurriedy asked me to call ack in 15 minutes and hung up the phone. Since I mainly wanted to find out if they had any vacancies for my travel dates and didn't want to to play phone tag, I decided to wait a half hour before calling back. This time, the gentleman asked me if I had called earlier. When I said, "Yes", he said he was still checking in the same party in but now it was a party of 4. He was rather rude and kept saing, "I'll call you back, I'll call you back. " The only thing I could get in was if he had my number. He said he did and hung up. He never called back so I decided to call later that afternoon in hopes of speaking to someone else. When l believed it was the same gentleman who answered, I politely asked to speak to a manager. He stated he was a manager. I asked for his name but he refused to give it to me. Again, he was very rude. He told me he was driving in his car. Since I dialed the hotel number directly, this made no sense to me. I asked him for the name of the manager who would working on Monday and he stated, "Dennis.

I loved this place. There was a really friendly atmosphere. I met people straight away (its so small its impossible not to). Its so close to the beach (perfect for midnight swimming! ). The staff were great too. I'll go back here again when I am next in town. The only downside is that it is a little bit far from the centre (but there is a bus that goes right past it so it didnt bother me that much).

I stayed at Deauville from 14th till 24th of June 2014. The place, the atmosphere and the stuff was great. A lot of friendly and positive people all over the world. Five minutes by foot to the ocean beach, 10 minutes by foot to grocery shops, bars. The place is calm and relaxing. Speed Wi-Fi internet, air conditioning and convenient bed. My room 103 was with the kitchen. I’m totally satisfied with Deauville. Recommend this place to other people.

Hotel Deauville was a life saver for my family and I. As a last minute reservation for a family of 10.3 rooms I can tell you the owners, staff and other travelers occupying other rooms made us feel like an extended family. Not only did we interact together with others staying at the Deauville we made some friends from along the way. This is a friendly, extremely clean and beautiful place to spend some quiet time. Our kids learned to swim with a scuba instructor that was staying there. My nephew is obsessed with cars and spend his time talking to a couple of race car drivers that were staying there also. Thank you for my daughter's birthday BBQ and everyone that participated as a family. I am so grateful to Carole and Andres for making our stay the Best Experience Ever.

Buyer Beware! This place is full of drug dealers, thieves, drunks, and management that takes unsecured valuables. The Manager has been fired by the Owners. Unfortunately he is allowed to work there until the end of October 2012. Becareful they will not refund your money if you pre-pay. — An Unfortunate Deauville Hostel Victim.

My girlfriend on spent a week here during our college winter break, and we have nothing but good things to say. We booked at a very cheap rate at the end of the summer, received and upgraded room upon arrival, which including a kitchen in our room! While we were there, there was lots of painting and renovations going on, which indicates that they are cleaning it up and making it look a lot nicer. Some things in our room weren't the greatest quality, but for the price we got, it could not be beat! Would definitely stay there again, if we could get a similar rate ($350) for a weeklong stay.
