Its about time this place closed. Bed bugs, roaches, rats and management no where close to being management! The pics that are posted for this MOTEL, are all old! The furniture is extremely outdated, which looked like they found it at an antique garage sale. 5 channels of cable, because they never paid their bill. Black mold in most of all the bathrooms, in all the buildings. Huge holes in the walls, which were covered up by paintings. The galley kitchen was disgusting, where food was being prepared and cooked. Most of the canned goods were expired, but still being served to guest. Mold was in the Ice machines. The housekeepers were afraid to say anything, in fears of losing their jobs, so they lied to the guest. The penthouse suites were not safe, one moved when you walked on the floors. This hotel should have never been titled as a resort, but just another MOTEL. The resort was gone years ago, when the original owner died. Maybe now after the hurricane, they'll correct the problems they've been ignoring for years! THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE!

Good care and the most complete to cater to tourists.

The reason why I gave the BC 3 stars. 1 the beach is across the street from the hotel. 2 the service support was polite and went above to make sure our stay was nice. 3 The jungle queen was right next door so we can take a tour. The reason why this hotel didn't get all 5 stars. 1 You have to pay for parking but there is limited space. 2 The rooms are dated and limited outlets. I did ask the front desk and the lady told me that they're renovating so I hope that the BC add more outlets and better appliances (microwave). Add more parking or buy the property behind it to add more parking. Also make sure that they don't add some hidden fee when you leave in the morning. If you buy online you shouldn't have to pay anything extra. The pictures online are not of the outdated rooms but of the renovated rooms. I understand that renovations are ongoing and would like to see the finish result.

I would not stay here again, even for the price. The rooms were very well worn, the cleanliness was questionable, and only one staff member, Jeff, was nice and helpful. Chenoa at the front desk, as well as the housekeepers I interacted with were nothing but rude and did not seem to understand the concept of hospitality. It was somehow impossible to get towels if we didn't want our whole room cleaned. On that note, the towels were extra small and seemed like they haven't been replaced for years.

Bahia cabana was a great place to eat and drink on the riverfront. Very friendly staff with license plates from various states/countries posted throughout the bar. And infamous blues brothers sitting in the lobby for great photo op!

This was my first time in Fort Lauderdale and I loved it. This place and it's staff was great. Derrick at the front desk is the best and very friendly and helpful. Yes, I will stay here again because close to shopping, right on the beach, and other water activity.

This was the best place that I stayed in my trip to us. A pretty beach in front, it's only cross the street an it has a pool yet. A beautiful deck bar and comfortable and clean rooms.

The only good part about this place was the location. The girl at the front desk seemed like it was a bother to her to have people checking in, when we walked in to tell her we wouldn't be staying past the second day we walked in to her on her phone and talking with another girl, they both seemed bothered by us coming into the lobby. The lobby itself was highly unimpressive. The parking is not free as it is advertised. There is barely any water pressure in the shower, and after only one shower the tub backed up and was filled with water and an unidentified brown/black substance, we tried to use the room phone to call the front desk to let them know but that wasn't working at all. The pictures online are not accurate, the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned, we found old sugar wrappers from before we had gotten there stuck in the "kitchen" sink, and there is paint chipping everywhere you turn. The AC unit doesn't do any good except to cool down the a 3 foot radius around the unit, we had to buy a fan on the first night just so we wouldn't be hot all night. The TV barely works, the channels were constantly skipping in and out, and when we checked in they didn't give us any papers, the Wi-Fi information, or a "Do Not Disturb" sign to put on our door. This place is cheaper for a reason, and it's not even worth the prices they charge. Don't waste your money here.

The location of the hotel was great. Beach right across the street. Restaurant and bar were amazing. Room was a bit small but clean and comfortable great weekend get away.

Squallidissimo hotel/motel.

We stayed at hotel because that is where the Surf Club Reunion was. I did look at website before going and the pictures did not look that nice, which is very true, but wanted to be with friends, so booked the hotel, hoping it was better. The place needs a major renovation, it is really shabby, starting with the lobby. The person at the reception area said we had a nice room, hate to see the other ones, if they thought our room was nice. There was no stopper for the tub, so I asked for one, since I wanted to take a bath. They did not have another one to give me, so I used a wash cloth to plug the hole and unfortunately when I filled the tub with water, it had a greenish color to it. I could see the repairs that had been done, were done very poorly, like replacing the tile floor in bathroom, but leaving old tile by edge of tub. On the positive side, it had a nice size area outside with bar to have the event, which was about 175 people. The Buffet was nice. It is located in the harbor, with nice view of water and right across from Ft. Lauderdale Beach. Had the French Toast for breakfast and it was very good. Very old hotel that has been neglected and needs some tender loving care.

Staff goes above and beyond, very helpful, they including the manager Darrell deserve a 5 star. As for the accommodations… Ok for the price, I guess. Rooms were small, shower needs redone! Restaurant on site was overpriced. I do have to say it was kinda a nice ambiance. The doors from the room were"French" doors and having this opened was a nice open feeling that opened up to a upper terrace (for lack of a better word)

The rooms were disgusting, stained stinky carpet, the beds were dirty and the sheets didn't fit the beds, the showers had hair and peeled paint chips all over, there was what looked like blood on the telephone (which didn't work either), there was an outlet inches from the inside of the shower, the entries place was filthy! The front desk staff were super nice but the restaurant was a different story. We waited a long time for a waitres and even longer for silverware after we got our food. It's just a dirty place. A few blocks north on the same street is a completely different work! Very clean and lots of things to do. There was no Wi-Fi as advertised and the bathroom floor had dirt and hair piled up along the wall. For the price we paid ($200 per night), it was a rip off! Oh and we woke up with some kind of bites on our legs. This place could be really neat with the right construction maintenance. So disappointed! I have no idea how this place passes health and business inspections! Don't stay here!

I spent 3 days at the bahia cabana and I enjoyed everything. The food and drinks were great. Everyone was friendly and treated us good. We will make plans to stay again.

It is too expensive to be of two star.

Service at the restaurant was so bad that half of The restaurant walked out. It took us 30 minutes to get iced tea and Coke. The manager told a Custer next to us that was asking for their food to " sit down your food is coming" The waitress said "there's a problem in the kitchen that's NOT my problem" after an hour of waiting with 2 kids under 5 we left and asked for the bill for the drinks, the waitress than gave us the bill for the food that we did not get. I would never recommend eating there at all.

This resort is a blast! Went with a friend and our two kids and we spent hours in the pool and hottub, while engorging from their restaraunt. If you want a fish sandwich, this is the place to go! Best seafood, cooked perfectly. There's plenty of fun and relaxation for both kids and adults… Not to mention, the beach is just across the street! We will be coming back frequently… this is our go-to spot! The rooms are not huge, but not much time is spent in there anyways, all of the action is outside!

Bar was great! Rooms were alright and food was pretty awesome as well. Would have given 5 stars but was told breakfast was no longer being served when it was still before 11. (When they stop serving breakfast) If you don't want to stay at their bar they are a quick 15 min walk away from a strip of bars. Also right across the street from the beach overall had a great time.

Went there for there Sunday breakfast with the family and enjoyed it very much. The view from the outside deck is great, the food was great and the staff while a bit shorthanded brought all the food out at same time unlike plenty of other places I've eaten at. Great place Highly recommend.

I stood in line behind 3 people. The first guest were signing their room out, the 2nd guest lost his key and was getting a replacement, and the 3rd guest asked were their any rooms left, which there was. My friend and I watched the front desk clerk, Darren check the 3rd guest in which was a white gentleman, with no problems. No disclosures were said just would you like a King bed and here is the key. When it was my turn Darren was nice, but at signing he stated to me all the extra fees for if something bad was to happen to the room. Thats the normal thing to do if its in the hotel's policy which Im fine with. The problem is he didn't disclose that same information with the white gentleman that checked in before me. Im not pulling thr race card but equal is equal. If you disclose to one disclose to all. When I spoke with Darren I just wanted to raise his awareness. Darren got an attitude and stated, "i didnt feel I had to tell the 3rd guest because he was already standing there when I was checking in the other guest. " Thats not an acceptable response. I will never visit that hotel if Darren is still working there.

The Bahia Cabana's website only posts pictures of their most updated rooms. I came for a wedding along with 30 other people. Out of those 30 people, none of us saw any of the pictured rooms. Our bathroom was outdated and not kept up. The Wi-Fi was non existent. Our cable TV barely had three working channels. Our room had a refrigerator but no microwave. Ants also roamed freely. For 160 dollars a night, plus 18 a night for parking, this place is a joke. The restaurant was hit or miss. The first night I ordered a 9 dollar margarita. Apparently, I needed to tell the bartender I wanted tequila in it. As a paying guest, I was sitting in the restaurant waiting for a large table of our group to finish up so we could tour Ft. Lauderdale. A waitress gives me a menu. I politely told her I will not be ordering anything, for I am waiting for this table to finish eating. The waitress snatched the menu's from our hands and snarls "That DOESNT help me any. " Never in my life have I ever had service like that. Staying here was one of the worst traveling experiences that I have had. I would highly recommend you staying ANYWHERE else. Maybe even in your vehicles versus this place.

We only experienced the Bahia Cabana restaurant, but the service and food were fantastic. The meals are small, but delicious! We experienced the coconut shrimp starter, which was incredible, and the bacon cheeseburger, which was small but good.

Awesome service! Breakfast menu has upgraded! Hubby and I have been going there for breakfast for over a year. The menu has changed and the breakfast is delicious! The serving size is awesome, lol they're not skimpy on the bacon and it's not as salty as it use to be. The coffee has improved. Use to be watery. Service is always with a smile. Will definitely go back! Have also gone there for lunch. Their wings and conch fritters are my favorite. The Piña Coladas are yummy!

Ate at the restaurant only. The piña colada and the grilled shrimp bruschetta was the best out of everything we tried. The service was nice and the bathrooms were clean. I'd come back.

For a 69.00 (Had a groupon) a room per night we enjoyed our visit very much~ Very happy people that worked there. The restaurant and the rooms were awesome. We felt like we made a very good decision. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Please don't stay here. I read reviews and booked anyway. Was very disappointing. Hair dryer in bath room did not work, only able to get 3 channels on t. V. Had so called happy hour margaritas. That had no tequila mixed in them, but glazed the top of drink with said tequila. Room was very loud and was afraid to sleep because of all the drunks. Ended up with some kind of insect bites. Very bad experience. Will NEVER stay there again.

Very good experience. Night, mid-shift & morning front desk staff all very nice & helpful — Sandra, Vincent & Daryl. The female bartender that worked the night of 8/21 was super helpful too. I'll definitely stay again.

This fun bar/restaurant is located on the water in the Bahia Mar Marina (Next to Jungle Queen). We had dinner and drinks and enjoyed the music. The menu has nice choices of appetizers, salads and sandwiches. The service is friendly and very efficient. The bartenders aim to please! We enjoyed this restaurant right on the water! PS get the floater in the Pina Colada.

My son and I stayed here before we went on a cruise and after we got back, I have visited the restaurant every trip to Ft Lauderdale the past 10 years but it was the first time to stay at the hotel. While it is not a 5 star hotel, the prices are reasonable, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, the staff is helpful and friendly and it is centrally located for a number of activities while in Ft Lauderdale, 15 minutes from the airport and a 3 minute walk to the beach. 2 minute walk to rent a jetski, do parasailing, ride the water taxi or go deep sea fishing. The restaurant sits on the Marina for a great view at dinner and the food is great, live entertainment most nights. I recommend this as a must visit place to all my friends that I know are planning on visiting Ft Lauderdale.

Although the restaurant could use a facelift, you can get a table right on the water and the food is pretty good and priced right. The conch fritters were very good as were the fish tacos, tuna sliders, and conch salad! If you're diving or snorkeling or fishing on one of the charters at the marina, this is a great spot for a quick lunch!

90 dollar room 10 for parking, arrived couple days early hoping to be accommodated, nope could check in thur find another hotel for fri check back in sat. Was told when making reservation that they put a note in system to book a room in main compound even called a week ahead of time to make sure because if your paying that price staying down the street in a back alley hotel is not worth it. The lady at the desk told me there is no note & they are having issues because they overbooked all the rooms. Now I brought my girlfriend here with me from Tennessee her first time here wanted to be special thats why I wanted the room in that section in stead we are shoveled to the back alley hotel rooms & of course soon as she opens the door to the room there is a dead BIG roach on the floor. I'm here now have to look for a hotel for tomorrow probably won't be back for sat, sun, mon & tue, bad part is when we checked in thur. A nice lady was canceling for fri she said that should work for you they said they couldn't give it to us because of them being over booked, what would they have done if she did not cancel? I'm not happy don't get me started on restaurant, I remember when I worked here it was different & thats what we came for wasn't looking for anything fancy but bad had to bring most of our stuff inside because we are scared someone would break into the truck… sorry I have to go, gotta look for a hotel to book for tomorrow.
