Reviews of B Ocean Resort 4*
Excellent service, comfortable facilities.
First time staying here. I loved every minute. The staff is amazing ESPECIALLY Rosie at the beach pool. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful! She really made my trip that much more enjoyable! It doesn't get better! 110% would recommend.
Upon arrival we were ignored by 5 valets. ($47 per day) we had to open our own doors and take our luggage from our car. The lobby was pretty nicely remodeled. We were in an oceanfront room 1520. As soon as we left the inside of the building on the 5th floor it looked like a $19 hotel on the interstate. Our room was dirty, not vacuumed. Stayed dirty for 2 days even after a visit to the desk. No coffee for our pot. Our room was very dark even with all lights on. It is a very old rundown tired property that in no way live up to the prices they charge or advertised condition of the property. I would choose any other property on Ft Lauderdale beach before choosing The B. It may have some future potential but right now it is a dump. I am positive for the pricing you will be greatly disappointed. Don’t just read this as a poor review by one client but as an honest warning not to waste your money.
I definitely will be back great service starting from when I called to make my reservation My reservationist Maritza was awesome answered all my questions with details and was patient love her service we need more people like this loved the hotel restaurant was awesome beach and pool as well will be back soon.
Loved it amazing accommodations and kind services.
Here’s a real honest review. Rooms are updated and hotel is overall nice and clean. Not too far from main beach area. Pool is nice and very nice to have the beach right there to walk out on. Valet guys and pool bartender and towel woman were very pleasant. They have complimentary bikes available. Things I wish I knew. For a resort they do not have the following. A gift shop. Vending machines. Water sports The pool closes early. You are not allowed to bring your own food or drinks to beach or pool. 18 percent gratuity added to everything. Including a single coffee or muffin. Parking is $47 per day and no option to self park. This is not included in resort fee. Two chairs per room. Additional chairs and umbrella Are extra charge. The mermaid bar is only open for shows.
We were informed that a water pipe had burst on the fifth floor and had to pay the valet to move us to a new room. The original room smelled of mildew and the cream curdled when used. The cost of $4 plus for a small coffee downstairs was ridiculous. Be prepared to be nickel and dimed for everything. The pool area is unsupervised and unauthorized people were utilizing the pool, vaping and bringing food and drinks from the outside. We should’ve been comped for the inconvenience of the water break. Please read before you book! this resort is a fraudulent, overrated, unprofessional hotel and staff. For the price you pay expect elevators not to work. We had no water in our room for a whole day. They claim they had water line burst. Refused to accommodate my family and I with having to pay extra. No offers for another room. Manager did even care that we had no way to shower had to go to the lobby to use restroom. They didn’t even clean the lobby bathroom after directing guest to use it. Managers are ALL profit obsessed not client obsessed. Next time I’m staying at the Westin or Hilton down the street. They have better customer service have no ridiculous incident fees $150 per night stayed a week. The b resort is not worth your time or money. If you’re looking for a great place with working facilities and client obsessed employees DON’T COME HERE!
Nice location …be prepared to even pay for anything and everything. No parking available so you must use valet at $47 a day… does not include tip…if you eat at the restaurant it includes an 18% gratuity automatically …. Mermaid show if you want to pay that observant price…even the kid friendly show a hundred dollars for One child and one adult… now let’s talk about the room. It’s OK in the beds are comfortable… Had to rinse my hair in the sink because the water pressure sucked… Coffee machine in the room didn’t work so paid four dollars downstairs … I will say the staff all appeared to be friendly and professional…
I highly recommend Mrs Kimberly Louis to everyone looking for Forex and Bitcoin trader. Words can't describe how wonderful she's did on my trading account, I am delighted I trusted her and gave her a chance to help grow my $1, 000 in to $12, 700 in just a week. I advice the entire public to invest with Mrs Kimberly Louis contact: + 1 (860) 556‑3122 Email: kimberlylouis110@gmail. Com.
Not worth the price the service is Terrible and Kris one of the guest service employee is so unprofessional and very rude and shouldn’t be working in customer service.
We stayed at B Ocean this past weekend and had the best time! All the staff was amazing but bartenders Marc and Kristine seriously made our trip. The bar was busy and they rocked it! They were funny and talkative and took excellent care of us! They remembered us each night after dealing with so many people! You could tell the entire staff at the Wrecked bar enjoyed working there and together! So much fun! Highly recommended! Can’t wait to go back!
Beautiful Great views, friendly service.
Friendly staff & great service. Our balcony room facing the beach and ocean was spacious and very clean. Housekeeping checked with us daily to see if we needed anything.
Great place noce views friendly staff and great food.
The resort itself is beautiful along with its location. However, our room was 62 degrees and when we called to have it fixed they brought us a tiny space heater and told us there’s no heat in the hotel. Also, we had no hot water and again they blamed it on the weather saying because it’s so cold the water heater isn’t heating. For $370 a night, this is unacceptable. The hotel staff could give a crap. We spoke with a couple of managers and they thanked us for bringing these matters to their attention. I would not recommend nor stay at B Ocean Resort again.
We had a large family reunion at this resort recently and they were so wonderful! The accommodations were fabulous, the staff so attentive. We enjoyed all the hotel amenities and cleanliness. It was a great place to stay with small children.
Such an incredible experience! This was my first time there and the beauty was never ending! All the staff were kind and went above and beyond to meet your needs. I stayed here for Thanksgiving, to purpose to my Fiancé and to celebrate her 35th birthday. We were so surprised and excited when the resort snuck a congrats treat to our room when we were out. Highly recommend to families or couples Already looking forward to going back!
Enjoyed watching the Tortuga at B Resort! Beautiful private beach, great pool/bars, and great staff.
Wonderful and helpful staff. Recommended to anyone staying 8n the area.
Great location, with great staff, easy beach access.
Wonderful stay! pool and private beach are fabulous! staff is very accommodating.
Everything! The hotel is amazing, great service, attentive staff! Food is to die for! And mermaid show is simply beautiful and different! Loved it and we only live 20 minutes away but we wanted to scape and this is the place to do that! Rooms extremely clean ♥️😍🔥🔥🔥
We stayed here April 28-30 for my 40th birthday and had an amazing time. The resort staff (valet, front desk, beach staff, housekeeping) was very friendly. We will be back!
We paid quite a bit of money for a resort experience and it was more like a Motel 6. Extra money for a balcony room which was tiny, dirty, and had burn holes in the two cheap chairs. They claim the “resort” is smoke free, but the guy on balcony we shared a wall with was smoking. The drinks are way overpriced and had hardly any alcohol for the price. Our last night here, we were not able to sleep because there were a bunch of drunk people in the hallway until 3 am and when I called down to the front desk, they said that it is normal for there to be drunk people out there on the weekends. They refunded us one night of the resort fee for a not real resort. We travel to Florida 2-3 times a year and have never paid that much for such a shoddy experience.
Great atmosphere, wonderful staff!
LOVE the private beach and free beach chairs 🙌🏻 Also loved the pool and beach bars 🍹 Staff was all very courteous and helpful! Great location! Would definitely stay again 👌🏻
Been here just a few hours. Half of electrical doesn’t work. AC is horrible. Room is dirty. TV doesn’t work properly. Electrical outlets are worn out. Switched rooms and still has similar issues. Beach bar sucks. Horrible service and drinks. Don’t come here.
Great service from every employee we encountered! Stunning balcony rooms are so worth every penny! Naked Crab was AWESOME for breakfast!
We had Evans as our server all 3 mornings. Evans is one hundred percent professional! He is Mr. B Ocean! Thank you Evens from B Have!
Great location and the staff is exceptional.
We enjoy our stay here, friendly staffs, great facility. Book your ocean view room, it’s well worth it. Pictures of double rainbow taken from my balcony, the view is gorgeous!
Horrible customer service. Rude front desk.
This place is a joke, just awful! I spent quite a bit of money for the concierge to order and deliver flowers to my friends room, who was celebrating her 30th birthday. My credit card was charged, and the flowers never made it to her room. Valet confirmed they were delivered to the hotel, and the front desk and concierge staff have no idea where they went, or what happened to them. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with anyone willing to help via phone, no phone calls were ever returned back to me and nobody seemed to care at all. Everyone just kept putting me on hold with hopes I would hang up.
The customer service is terrible, they stuck me with upgrade charges and didnt tell me I was upgraded. Refused to refund the money and when I asked for a supervisor, was told I could email her and she would pass it along. My friends stayed in a room that wouldnt lock and ac broke in the middle of their stay, they refunded her one nights 'resort fee' for the inconvenience. There was no room service at the hotel. There are better locations in fort Lauderdale closer to bars and restaurants that still have great ocean views.
Absolutely stunning! Would definitely book again with them. Very courteous staff and clean amenities throughout the entire premises.
Great resort… I will go back again. Great food. Clean.
Loved this place! Employees were all very kind & the beach side pool was amazing.
Ive stayed here several times
Over the years, and this time during the lock down has not been my favorite time, but they provided us with everything they possibly could to make our stay wonderful. The valet manager was fantastic and helped me find dinner, the front desk got us into an awesome room and the pm bartender and daytime cafe worker all went above and beyond to help us have an amazing stay despite not having much to do. The views from the pool and our room and the sunsets across the street are memories we’ll always have to remind us of this trying time. Thank you for keeping Ft Lauderdale beach a semblance of what it can be! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful views and great staff. I’ll be back.
Excellent alternative to a cancelled cruise. Perfect location right on the beach. Professional and friendly staff from house keeping, front desk and pool side service. Accommodating front desk staff doing their best to provide you best check in experience amidst the covid 19 crisis and numerous canceled cruises.
Resort fee required however noted that only on the last day were guest required to wear a band. I wish this was a requirement throughout our stay as the pool and beach area would likely have been less crowded.
No heat. Have to ask for space heaters, but they don’t tell you in advance. Thermostat didn’t work, so air wouldn’t shut off. No hot water in sink and shower only warm. Very friendly staff, but for price, this is no 4 star hotel.
Great location before or after cruising from Port Everglades, always busy and always accommodating.
Staff range from helpful to awesome.
Perfect location. Lovely rooms. Great pool.
There was good parts of our stay but ultimately I wouldn't recommend.
Pros: The view from our room was great!
Amenities were better than expected.
Staff was top notch! (They very nearly changed my negative opinion. )
cons: The unadvertised "Resort Fee" doubled the rate. Very dishonest practice.
The cost of the food, drink, and amenities was unreasonably high.
$35 for two Piña Coladas? Crazy!
Deciding Vote: The lobby bar was HORRIBLE! I've gotten better service from fast food when the only server was on break! You would think that upon ordering $20+ glass of wine that the server would bring it and follow up. We waited 40 minutes for service; our drinks never came. We ended up just leaving. Spoke to manager he didn't seem to really care.
Great place before or after a cruise, two pools, one is on the beach. Will hold luggage until room is ready so you can enjoy the beach, pool, or use their bikes. Nice food items at Clippers. We had a room with a great view of the beach and marina. Is our go to place when we visit Ft. Lauderdale.
Very clean and big rooms, love my view great staff only thing I didn't like was the $37 a night self parking but my car was safe.
Beautiful view great staff.
Awesome staff, extremely friendly, beautiful location. Will be back.
The food was great in both the restaurant, pool and hotel bars. Staff and service was good and the sea turtle was a nice touch. View of the ocean from my room was also nice. The concierge was knowledgable and helpful.
We just returned from a 5 day stay at the B Ocean. There are several wonderful things about this resort. We found it clean, friendly, responsive and accommodating staff, quiet, relaxing and great location. My only negative would be the onsite restaurants and bars were extremely expensive. We definitely took advantage of the bikes and road up the beach for other options.
Wonderful staff, clean, good location, my view was stunning! will stay again.
Horrible experience. Double charged my room (which was prepaid) and refuse to refund as they inserted my card for the guest who checked in immediately after me (! ). Beach service poor as they did not provide towels (they were finished and then they finished their shift and they went away) and facilities are old.
My husband and I spent the week at this resort. We stayed in the stunning king ocean view. Beautiful view of the the ocean. Absolutely amazing to wake up to. The staff was so kind. The concierge Tina goes above and beyond in her job. She made a great restaurant recommendation and ensured we had an amazing 10th wedding anniversary dinner. She also made some wonderful entertainment suggestions. The food in the naked crab was awesome. The Adults only underwater Burlesque Show at… the Wreck bar was AMAZING! Great pool and beach areas as well. Like every place there are a few flaws. The breakfast vouchers are only good for one menu item at the Naked Crab. Everything is expensive so expect to spend money. The shower design is not very good easy to flood onto the floors. Cannot be in the shower long. Also do not get a lot of towels, and we did not get maid service every day. The resort fee does not cover an umbrella on the beach. You must get your towel card from the front desk prior to going to the water to get your two beach towels. Cabana closes early so make sure to pick up your card and turn your towels in or it's $20 extra. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would return. A special thanks to Tina and The Wreck Bar Underwater Burlesque show for helping to create such a memoriable time for our 10 year Wedding Anniversary.
Enjoyed our stay service was impeccable. Concierge service was 2nd to none.
This is a beautiful resort hotel. I love this hotel and would recommend everyone to check it out for themselves. Great food etc.
Inexpensive fun resort with a super friendly staff.
The B Resort is known for great service and quality! This one is no different! Had a great time and the staff was attentive and professional! They did a great job! I live in Miami and love to stay in Ft. Lauderdale and this is the place!
Great beach, great pools, great food, however… My overall experience at this hotel was terrible. The most important thing that I must say about this place is that it is built on scam and extremely rude customer service. Complaint #1: There are many people on this review forum that mention the resort fee. The hotel replies to the comments by stating that all their charges are transparent. That is fine, but question that comes to mind is… Why isn't this fee part of the booking if everyone, no matter what, pays for it? The answer is simple. The company bypasses competition and lures in customers by portraying affordable deals, while the prices are much higher and in summation, are similar to the more successful competitors. Other fees include: parking (>$30), beach umbrellas (~ $20) and so on, which I would think should be included in this famous resort fee. All in all, if you are seeing a comfortable price, don't be fooled. Complaint #2: The restaurants, bars and their servers cheat you. All of the establishments in the hotel use Apple Pay with an option for tips: 18%, 20% and 25%. At times, the servers charge their customers a service fee behind the scenes and then bring by their Apple devices for a signature and an option for a tip. The customer must have an "unrestricted right" to choose the amount for a tip and thereby, must be informed about the charges included.
Loved this hotel! Beautiful lobby, easy & quick check in. Woman at the desk upgraded me to the building on the beach for no extra charge. Rooms were immaculate & beautiful! Very nice pool area with an outdoor pool bar that serves food also. Nice coffee shop with breakfast pastries, etc. Ocean water is pretty & mostly clear. Volleyball courts right beside hotel on the beach. I won't look any further than this hotel when in Ft Lauderdale. A must stay & kid friendly & excellent staff. Price was reasonable as well. Only negative is I thought valet parking was a little too high ($40 I think). Only $4 less to self park so may as well let them do it.
Only did a night there so didn't really get a chance to enjoy this resort as much but from my stay I loved it there. Had an ocean view that was beautiful and the room and bathroom decor was modern but relaxing so you're able to just kick back and enjoy yourself. They have a volleyball net outside and part of the resort fee is you can borrow sport equipment to play, ride a bicycle etc. Will come back for a longer stay to enjoy the full effect. Highly recommend. I gave it only 4 stars because parking is very expensive there. That is the only con. Be prepared for that.
If you haven't stayed at the B Ocean Resort lately, than it must be your next travel destination. I have been staying at this property for over 5 years and without a doubt my stay last week was by far my best experience ever. The front desk staff was AMAZING, especially Anita. She was very kind and attentive as we waited to check in since we arrived a few hours early. The hotel room and property were all VERY clean. Housekeeping kept our room spotless and stocked with all of the towels and toiletries that we needed. The beach staff was great, set us up with chairs and we rented an umbrella for some relaxing days on the beach. We ate lunch most days there on the beach and the food and drinks were delicious and portions were very generous. The guys working valet were always on their toes and extremely professional. I cannot say enough good things about B Ocean, the property is absolutely beautiful and the entire staff are all so caring and attentive. They truly make you feel like a valued guest and for that I will always be loyal to this resort. A HUGE shout out and THANK YOU to Calesia Williams, you truly are amazing at what you do and genuinely make your guests feel valued.
Relatives stayed there. They were happy with room, wait staff. Mermaid bar is fun. We had drinks at lobby bar, good bartenders. Lobby has been updated, clean modern feel. One of the few hotels in Ft. Lauderdale on the beach side of A1A.
My wife and I booked our honeymoon here. We went through a lot to get down here our first flight was oversold so we had to catch a flight out the next day, then we show up and the front desk person was trying to find us a better room than the frist floor where there was a lot of traffic he then found us a nice ocean view on the 10th floor. We went to eat and came back to our room to find champagne and food and drink vouchers. Thank you B Ocean resorts and thank you Hector for being so kind to us. Would definitely stay here again.
B Aware should be their new motto. We checked into a room that had no towels, wash clothes, or soap and was in need of a renovation. This continued most of the week. The sink did not drain and over half of the outlets in the room were broken. The cabinet door to the mini fridge was broken and fell off and hit me in the leg. We decided to walk out on the private beach which looked like a landfill from the trash covering the sand. People really should be considerate and carry their drinks to the trash but the resort also made no effort to clean up. There were never towels available at the pool or beach and they would tell you they bring towels out but never did. I literally spent an hour a day hunting down towels and at one point I was told the resort was out of wash-clothes. Seriously — $40.00 a day for a resort fee on top of the price of the hotel and you don’t have wash-clothes? The resort fee covers two chairs a day and any extra chairs or umbrellas cost $25.00 extra. The pool was closed down for private events and we couldn’t use it half the time — not to mention it’s super small and can’t accommodate the amount of people at the hotel. It’s also not an infinity pool as advertised but just an old pool they filled up really high. The pool bar closes at 5 every day so if you want to enjoy a drink by the pool you have to walk two buildings away to get one.
We are here now. There are 4 people in our room, and we have had to ask for towels and washcloths every day to accommodate the number of people in the room. When I asked for towels and wash clothes this morning, we were brought towels only, and the guy that brought them walked away faster than I could say anything. How hard is it to realize that a room for 4 requires linens for 4? I was surprised at the overall condition of the property. The lobby is nice and modern, photographs well, but the property overall is dirty and worn. There is trash and cigarette butts everywhere, which is true for all of the beach we’ve seen here. The beach trash floors me, truly. Beer bottles and garbage strewn on the grounds between the main building and south building. Everything is shabby. Dirty elevators with dried spills on the floors. Ripped cushions on the beach chairs. The pool is cloudy and dirty. The “double” beds are the smallest I’ve ever seen in a hotel. The decor is nice and I do like that it’s directly on the beach, which I see is rare here. A/C works well too. We wouldn’t stay here again.
Arrived and was not given the room we booked. Also the hotel offers a discount for service members of the military which they did not honor. Staff was not helpful or warm. Also numerous others were having problems with their check ins. I was really excited by the pictures on the website and am sadly disappointed. Also the room has a smell like it was smoked in even though it’s a non smoking hotel. Glad it’s only one night. I recommend stay elsewhere.
We had a nice stay. It's a fairly high volume resort, but the staff is very attentive, especially around the pool. It is nice to stay on property with the available amenities. The mermaid show in the Wreck Bar is a must do. The room was nice and clean, however we could tell it was the end of the season and things are ready for a good once over by the engineering staff.
Great location. Cool mermaid show. Worst service ever at a hotel. I honestly could not believe how rude staff were to my group and others I heard them talking to. Food at all the restaurants in the hotel are way over priced! Clean rooms.
Very nice hotel. I stayed here with my entire family for the Christmas holiday 12/2017. This is a very nice hotel, next to stores and restaurants, and very close to Miami which was a plus! The hotel rooms are very nice and comfortable, my daughter loved staying here! The food was a bit pricey in the hotel and you can be sure to spend a lot of money between food, hotel fees, garage fees, fees for chairs at the beach etc. The only issue I had with the hotel was the lack of beach chairs at the beach that they are charging you for by the day. I was able to tell the front desk staff that they ran out of chairs so they waved my fee which was good. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
A beautiful trip to the Caribbean islands on a cruise liner.
Terrible experience here. Beware staff is horrible. Tried to check in at 12, and yes, check in is at 4, but we were staying with a wedding party that was having a wedding at 5:30 so tried to go early. They told us a room would be ready shortly. The room wasn’t ready until exactly 4:01! 4 hours is shortly? Then, the room was two full beds instead of a king like reserved and they said sorry, that’s all we have. Got to the room and it smelled old and musty. Got ready for the wedding really quickly as it was in a a little over an hour. Food was horrible at reception and during cocktail hour, everything was cold like it had been sitting for a while. Then, when checking out, it was $42 to valet your car. When speaking to the valet they said it was $15 at a discounted rate because we were there for the wedding. When I tried to speak to the front desk about it, they said that the valet is an outside party hired and they have no knowledge of the discount and if I had an issue I had to take it up with them even though the front desk is who charges my card. Overall terrible experience. Not only was the staff unpleasant but the hotel is in terrible condition. It was raining heavily when we arrived and there were buckets lining the hallways to the elevator catching the leaks from all over the roof. 5 buckets! You had to strategically walk with your luggage to no get rained on or knock over a bucket full of water. Then you get on the elevator and the floor is cracked and chipped.
This place was fantastic! Spent a night here after returning from a cruise. We decided to rent a cabana for a day & our cabana boy was amazing! Rooms are nice & beds are cozy. Breakfast is quite pricey to be a buffet, but tasty. We will definitely be back!
The pool overlooking the beach… magnificent!
I'll be spending two weeks in the beach side tower of the B Ocean hotel, and so far, it's great. The rooms are modern and spacious, the staff is amiable, the amenities are nice. Unfortunately, everything is a bit pricey. Drinks are between $8 and $12, the room service menu is similar. Oh, and if you'd like to use a cart to move luggage, the staff will insist on doing it… even if you'd rather do it yourself.
This hotel is a mess. (See pictures) Our shower head holder was ripped out of the wall and the staff clearly knew this was an issue because they draped the shower head and hose across the tub. We had to call to get it fixed and they couldn’t come until the following morning and couldn’t move us because they were ‘sold out’. The buildings are falling apart with broken fixtures and holes in the rooms and hallways, the elevator floor is duct tapped because the tile is shattered… Speaking of elevators, we saw this broken one A LOT because it was one of the few that worked. At each of the three elevator banks we had to use to get around the hotel only one elevator was working. This meant guests were waiting 3-5 minutes for an elevator and by the time it came it often couldn’t fit everyone waiting. Room service trays (the same ones) were left in the hallways for over 24 hours. We were here for a conference and literally the only saving grace was that we had direct beach access from the hotel, although… given the elevator situation it might have been quicker to walk from a further hotel. This is a 2 Star hotel masquerading as a “4 Star” (which I cannot believe it’s listed as).
Had a blast. Great food and drinks at the Naked Crab. Will come again to check out and enjoy a longer stay. Heard about the amazing iced coffee coffee. Arrived so late. Coming back soon coming back soon.
It is a nice place. Staff is exceptionally kind and courteous. Food and drinks excellent. Rooms could be a little nicer. Over all 4 stars. Great beach and multiple pool areas.
Location The architecture of tired, but here rested Merlin Monroe, Robert DeNiro… Good food, clean.
My sister was Ill when she arrived at 2pm and needed a room. They wouldn't let her in a room until 4pm. How rude. No return visits planned for here in the future… That's for sure! Update: 04 — 05-18. Do yourselves a favor… Don't stay on the 2nd floor South Tower. Mold and mildew and horrific smells all around the ice machine in the hallway and they went to the beach for 1 hour and came back to a room full of ants and flies swarming all over the room. What a dump and WILDLY overpriced for a no view room.
Hello it was an unforgettable experience, I would do it again. Everything was expectacular, I recommend it.
Average beach hotel. Average facility. No atmosphere. Ate at Naked Crab restaurant. Appetizer plates and salads were delicious. Cocktails were refreshing. Service was good. Manager checked on us. Nice experience!
Very good location. Helpfull staff. Very good food in the pool bar. Facilities excellent for the pool and beach. Not the best breakfast though. The room views stunning. (ocean view room main building)
The room was nice and spacious. Service at the beach was great. I believe that if you pay extra for ocean view you should get just that. What I got instead was a view of construction and portable toilets. We stayed in room 3109 in a building separated from the main hotel. Make sure you get ocean view (if you want it) and not construction.
We stayed in the beach tower right. You can't be any closer to the water. It was very relaxing. The pool was nice, the beach was great. The restaurant located there has great seafood. All in all a great time. I had lots of fun getting away for a couple days.
There was a or coffeemaker in room No microwave. Fridge not cold. Beds were immaculate and comfortable. Nice walk in shower. For 435$ per night it should offer breakfast. 24 hour coffee and tea. Small beach because they are setting up bleachers beside the hotel along the beach. Might be noisy when the volleyball tournament starts this weekend. Great location.
Very nice, well kept properly. Staff is pleasant and well trained. It's huge, so alot of walking in between buildings to and from the pool, beach and amenities on site to get to and from your room. I loved the valet parking service. And the breakfast is a good fair price. Comfy beds and beautiful rooms. I will return soon. Hopefully they add microwave in the rooms. The rooms are not cheap so those basic things should be available.
I would give the overall experience a 3.5. The hotel is newly remodeled which is nice and it is right on the beach. It was a Sheraton for years, but was purchased by a boutique hotel company. Best parts: the beach and access, pool area is great right on the beach (but small), the room and bathroom decor (freshly renovated), and location. Worst parts: food and the food/bar staff. The staff seems overworked and each bar is understaffed.
Very good hotel but if you don't know English it is difficult to communicate.
Good Hotel near the beach, the Convention center and the Youth, close to the fun.
Comfortable rooms.
Beautiful comfortable hotel. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired the poorly made beds, one day directly they did the cleaning and never vacuumed until Q we complained.
The facility is very nice, the services leave a lot to be desired. In the morning you wake up early for housekeeping and whatever you need everyone tells you but then you no longer see anyone. They also make you pay, without telling you first, the Wi-Fi to which you connect with the email address only. We had the misfortune to happen in this hotel on very cold days and since it is not normal there is no type of heating. We got very cold.
Lousy place we booked a triple and I got a king bed when I specifically ordered two doubles, no way to get in, also the check in is the later than eh seen around the world 4pm, and after the reservation aside they charge you 40dls extras for all that A normal hotel includes (coffee-towels…). It only serves an elevator so you can wait until 10min to get on. There is no furniture in the bathroom only the sink, as well as Gasolineria and the sprinkler is almost no pressure, the location is good and leads to the beach but I would definitely do everything possible to choose another hotel that was not this.
We arrived at 10am. We didn't get our room until after 4:00 check in. The room was average and it had a kherig. That made me happy The ad lies. There is NO shuttle service. They charge to hold your bags The location is awesome! And pool and beach were amazing. The staff knocked on the door at 9am! I thought this was rude. Check out is 11. Don't you get a list? Why wake people up who are on vacation relaxing? Otherwise was a good trip.
Nice lobby area. Staff was awesome I would give them 5 stars. Room view was beautiful looking at the ocean. The hotel rooms, entrance way to the rooms and elevator should be updated and much more accommodating to customer. The customers shouldn't have to walk completely outside to get to the lobby. The beach area is not at all private. I was told this information by several replicable companies. The resort fee was not included in my total amount (27.00 dollars) per day. The restaurants/bar over priced.
Just held an event at this location but stayed for several days. I will start with the positive because it wasn't an entirely bad experience. There were two helpful people positioned to help with the last minute orchestration of the event (last minute updates, changes etc). They were friendly and accommodating and certainly made the experience of holding the event easier. The closeness to the beach was a major plus and the views were awesome. However, our point of contact for the event was very rude. Several people from my company were brought back by how off putting and rude he was. Even went as far as to proclaim the day of our event that "I don't care how many people actually attend, you will be paying me for X quantity". A totally unnecessary and rude remark as we are trying to place tables for a seating chart. Accordingly to a survey sent to over 200 people who attended, the food was given a 1 out of 5 rating. I did not actually eat so I cannot say for myself, but as a coordinator for the event, I noted it. We also had people who were told to check in at 4 for an event that started between 6 and 7 who weren't given rooms until after the party started… which is about as bad as it gets. Even the night before the event we had two guests arrive at 9:50pm and they had no rooms available yet despite both having reservations. I will say that we had an executive stay there over the Summer to test it out and her only complaint was the slow elevators.
We stayed here during Art Basel weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at B Ocean! The 40min or so drive to Miami was well worth our staying here. The hotel is VERY nice and accommodation of the staff members was above average. One young lady that worked at the front desk really stood out to me was Samantha. She was very informative, friendly, and effortlessly showed us such a memorable quality customer service experience. Anytime I walked past the lobby I found myself looking for her just to wave Hello! The only reason I didn't give a 5star rating is the garage parking deck is quite a little walk if your room is located on the beachfront with the ocean view. Can be a bit annoying when coming in super late from long nights and events. Other than that, B Ocean Resort has my stamp in Ft Lauderdale. Oh! Also conveniently located to shopping centers, restaurants, plenty of gas stations and more. Strongly recommended!
The staff was so accommodating and extra generous. We stayed unexpectedly due to our flight being canceled and dealing with a nightmare at the airport. Hector at the front desk and Nadine the bartender were so sweet and amazing. Will recommend this hotel to many!
Awesome beach location and recently renovated! This property has undergone a complete transformation in the past year and is quite nice with comfortable rooms and modern common areas. The staff were all very pleasant, and I found the buffet on Thanksgiving Day to be quite good.
Nice location! Pretty cool hotel. Lots of options. Walls are a little thin on Marina bldg. Staff was pleasant. House cleaning could do a better job on keeping the floors clean. I plan to return for pleasure.
Nice hotel. Spend a dream vacation.
Very nice experience. Great view from my room. Excellent location. I was aware of some negative reviews but I did not have any of the same experiences.
Stayed at the resort few weeks after Hurricane Irma. Understandably, the resort would have leaky roof and slight musty smell, which the hotel apologized and worked on it to remedy the condition. Overall, the place was clean and modern decor. The restaurant, cafe, and bar made it convenient without really having to leave the hotel. The location, on the beach, was great! The workers were friendly, from front desk to valet, to housekeeping. The only thing that was bothersome was the noisy, rattling, air condition vent. Other than that, I give this hotel a thumbs up and would stay there again.
Very nice beach very modern, beautiful rooms, very friendly staff only negative criticism is that the cleanliness is not entirely impeccable.
Close to the beach. Very friendly staff. Ample spaces.
I stayed at this hotel from Friday night to Sunday morning and had the worst hotel Experience of my life. I arrived to check in and paid $32 per day for parking. I walk to my room and realize they gave me the wrong room. I walked back to the lobby and told the Receptionists that I was given the wrong room. I had reserved a bigger handicap accessible room and they told me the tower with my room does not have power and that in the morning they would switch my room. She told me to see the manager in the morning for accommodations. I then went to the parking garage to take my truck and go out for the night. The gate wouldn't open using my parking pass. After pushing the "help" button I sat and waited for 20 minutes before another car was able to use there pass to open the gate. I quickly left before the gate would close. As soon as I got out, someone from valet came running to take my plate # to report me. I explained that I paid $32 a day for parking and was stuck. After discussing for 10, they left me alone and I went on my way. Next morning I called the manager and she said she would wave parking for 2 days at $32 per day. When I went to check out, I see that I got charged for the 2 days of parking.
Whenever any member of our crew passes through Fort Lauderdale, we make sure to book a room in this fine updated retro-styled hotel. Located directly on the beach and within a short bike ride to many of the attractions, "the B" couldn't have a better perch on the ocean. There's a bar that looks under the water of the pool overhead, where Billy Crystal and Robert DeNiro filmed a scene from Analyze This and there are some great views of the ocean from many of the rooms. They feature great food, great beach amenities, modern and clean rooms with nice touches, but most of all their staff members are TERRIFIC! From their manager all the way to the cleaners, every member is usually happy, helpful and prompt. Relaxed, delicious food, pools and beach access… we'd like to keep this place a secret. ;)
This place is great! Whether you are a local looking for a weekend get-away or a tourist looking for a nice, quieter place that is not smack in the middle of the tourist section, B Ocean is great. Located at the south end of the main FTL beach, somewhat removed from the typical high density beach crowding area but close enough to the strip of restaurants, bars and shops the location is great. The rooms are nice enough, nothing out of the ordinary but the amenities are great. The decor is clean and modern, the restaurants are good and tasty, the wreck bar is a different way to have a couple drinks during show time and the full service beach and pool bars are great. Would vote 4.5 stars if I could. My only gripe is that they try and charge for little thing on the beach. Chair $13/day (unless included with your room), umbrella $20/day, mini beach cabana/bead $80/day. But if you know that going in, its not so bad. Also parking is not included $35/day. Would and will recommend and be back for another stay!
Lovely place, clean, priced Right … You can't get anymore convenient than this place. The views are like the pictures posted on their website. Security is pretty tough but from the bellhops that welcome you as you drive up to the ladies always mopping the wet floors, totally worth it. But it's hot, hot sand, hot cement, so def bring closed water shoes that don't let too much sand in.
Get ready to pay $30 + for parking. And they check in at 4pm and kick your ass at 11 am! What happens with those 5 hrs you loose? Nice rooms, front desk personnel could be more friendly and helpful. Valet guys are friendly and the house keepers do an excellent job. That's why I'm giving them 3 stars! Valet and housekeepers! Thank you guys.
Everything about this place is AMAZING! This is my second time at B Ocean due to their teacher discount. From the minute I walked in the service was 5 stars. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They guys on the beach made me feel like I was at a luxury all inclusive in the islands. They were attentive and welcoming. They adjusted our umbrella throughout the day, and we even had the option to order food from the beach. The room in the main hotel was clean and spacious and easy access to everything. Dinner at the naked crab was also amazing (stone crab special pictures below). I will definitely be back soon.
NO STARS! This hotel is a sham! Everything that was advertised was false. The air conditioner barely worked. The ocean view rooms are actually located across the street from the ocean. You have to cross a very busy street to gain access to the beach. There is no spa. Horrible Experience. I will NEVER come back. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. We complained the entire weekend. The bed in one of our rooms was unstable/broken, when my girlfriend sat on it, the bed flipped up and she landed on the floor. There was one microwave in the lobby for the whole building, and it barely worked. My entire Birthday weekend was ruined!
If I could choose 0 stars, I would! I am currently in my hotel room thankful that it's my LAST NIGHT here! I first arrive with three friends only to find that everyone has a room but me. After making a few calls and doing some research (20 mins later) the mistake was on the hotel and not us. After I get my room key the attendant gives me directions to my room. That was ok until… he told me I had to exit the bldg, go down to the light, cross the street and enter another bldg… oh yes the sky walk is under renovation so you have to take the long way. PISSED! … the advertisement said there were balconies and THERE ARE NONE! Two of my friends sat on the end of the double bed as we talked and the top of the bed flew up and one of my friends fell… PISSED! The water pressure is so bad that I have to wash my hands in the tub. I had to set my air to 60 degrees and that still didn't cool off my room until today! I can go on and on! I am returning to Fl in August but will NEVER, EVER stay here again. Lastly, after informing the hotel of my dissatisfaction, I got a card for a free drink! Are you serious! WOW!
Another review was extremely accurate in their review of "middle class ghetto". Place looks nice and has a good history but overall, my experience was underwhelming. There is very little privacy with their "open" concept to the bathrooms. The door was just a sliding panel with nothing that would actually close (you can see in/out of the room from either side. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to not have to listen to my roommate pooping! That and the fact that the shower was only half contained by glass, so you can't share the room with anyone that you're not comfortable being around naked. Our room's phone wasn't working for the first two days that we were there, despite promises that it would be fixed. The restaurant that I assume exists when the renovations aren't happening wasn't open, nor was the Wreck Bar when we were looking for supper. When we eventually decided to eat at the pool bar, one of the meals was forgotten for an hour, and most anything we tried to order wasn't available. Fries were exceptionally good. Key lime pie was exceptionally awful. "Steel cut oatmeal" was inedible mush. Drinks were at least $12 ea. And they tried to charge us $20 to use an umbrella on the beach. Overall, I wouldn't recommend.
I came from the Dallas to Florida just to have a relaxing time, when first arriving front desk we're very professional, wasn't suppose to check in until 4 but a room was available for us. After that things just went wrong, I was in room 3028 and the A/C kept leaking the whole time I was there. From Friday unto departing on Sunday. I called every time it happened and the same thing we will send someone up to fix it, I will talk with management to see if we can move you, well I guess management was never called because I was still there water still leaking. I called trying not to go crazy after spending my money for this place and I did stress this to the customer service, and it was I'm sorry you have to go through this but I will send some one. I told them that I had to put towels in the floor so we wouldn't slip and fall but it was if they did care at all. The maintenance guy did have a little compassion and asked did they talk with me about giving my money back and I told him they haven't said nothing so he said he was going to talk to them about it but I guess he forgot as well. The room service when you called down was rude and stated to me do I want it or not, really I hung up and had to take a breath cause for one I'm to far from home and I didn't know anyone here, just was trying to find a place to come to relax. Me personally will not recommend this place to anyone.
Worst resort experience ever. Do not come to this place, total waste of your money. Middle class ghetto environment everywhere. Features were added to my bill that were not presented to me upon arrival. The view and location are excellent but the property needs improvement in all areas. My room phone did not work and there was a sense of third world country all around the place. No amenities whatsoever in the lobby area, a hospital offers a lot more. Do not feel hooked by the looks, it's a whole mess of a place. Maybe this place could be OK for loud and obnoxious people.
Very nice hotel with great location. Awesome amenities. Currently undergoing construction, so food menu is limited as they only have one bar/grill open right now. Undue care very much about the environment specifically sea turtles.
The view was amazing! It was fun watching the boats from Marina Tower, and the sunset over the city. And that was about it. The room was barely okay the water hardly came out of the faucet so showering didn't really work, and after being at the beach with getting all sandy a shower would have been nice. The view was great but the windows were so dirty that's all you really noticed. I love taking pictures to send to my family and I was unable to because of all the dirt. I once had a similar view when someone waxed the windows to my car. Really the biggest problem I had was trying to check in. After waiting in line for 45 minutes I was unable to check in because the room was in my husbands name even though it was my card we used to buy the room. Which would make any business trips here impossible. Once I was told I had to wait for my husband (who was informed he had to move the car cause they only had 2 check in/out spots) I was made to get back in line and wait another 30 min. Just to find out the room wasn't even ready yet. So over all I doubt I will come back.
I did not really had great stay. Low rise only 5th floor. Their online pictures are deceiving. It's way much better than real because 1) they give presidential suite pictures not standard room pictures; 2) the hotel is in a bad shape now since it undergoing construction which means no real lobby or restaurant other than bar by the pool. We were upgraded to a so call "ocean front view" room with an extra fee but could barely see the ocean. We face right in front of sand. : ( False fire alarm rang at 5am. Everyone woke up and got out of the building. Elevator is dark and small. However, the hotel is right on it's private beach with a nice pool facing the ocean which is nice. Valet parking $35 a night! I definitely over paid for my stay. Try to stay in beach tower, it's newly modeled. The room has nice size. Very very comfortable beds!
Great for Beach weddings. Beautiful location. I recently attended 2 weddings here @ different times. Both were lavish affairs. The rooms are spacious, & the atmosphere is warm.
The beachside service was excellant. Great wings and drinkd.
We were upgraded at check in during a sold out event by Rudy/Randy/Calesida. Room is clean and bed is extremely comfortable. Beach is nice but the pool is a bit small. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone coming down here. Particularly for the Tortuga music festival.
Under construction. When done, the hotel will be very nice. The staff is very friendly. Updated rooms are really nice.
We booked this spot with Hotwire and paid half the going rate. Needless to say, we came in without expectations. So here's the rundown… this property has four towers — Beach, Clipper, Marina, and South, but currently Beach and Clipper are closed for renovations. We were originally placed in the Marina Tower which is outdated, but comfortable enough. Anyone who says the service here is bad is just a pain in the a$$. We asked to be moved to the South Tower because we knew there were renovated rooms there and Courtney at the desk made it happen for us. She was kind, attentive, and responsive… even though she knew we were Hotwire customers. I can't speak highly enough of her. Our renovated room was very high-end and the beds were extremely comfortable. Bottom line… when all four towers are renovated, this place will exceed your expectations. We enjoyed our stay.
Prime location, fresh new room on the 7th floor, fabulous breakfast, and friendly/helpful staff. I was concerned about staying here due to others' reviews, but everything was great. No complaints.
Staff is very friendly, we loved our stay here, elevator was broken and slowed us down. Resort renovating and under construction but still a good stay. Any concerns call in advance staff willing to help. We will return! Can't wait to see it when all the renovations are finished.
Went to watch the mermaids swimming. Kids loved it too. Make sure you go upstairs and meet them after the show and tip them. They really put on a good show.
B cheap hotel. NO IN ROOM COFFEE!? And they call this a resort. Take the elevator, then walk the bridge across, take another elevator and then there is coffee!? Place smells musty and moldy. Several other places near here, check them first!
This is an older hotel and the rooms are well used (still nice and clean though) but the location is perfect. This is one of only 2 or 3 hotels that are actually on the beach and within walking distance of the Ft Lauderdale's night scene. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and we had a very nice view of the ocean from our 3rd floor room. The beach is vast with supplied chairs and beach toys. The daily "resort fee" was $20 and it covered 2 bottles of water in the room daily, 2 free cocktails, beach chairs and towels, and free access to the hotel bicycles (lifesavers) if you want to go farther than you're willing to walk. Every staff member from the clerk's to the bar tenders were all very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back to this hotel on our next trip to Ft Lauderdale. The price would be hard to beat for the incredible location.
Location is great! Rooms are small and well used. They are going through a renovation. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Hotel room was clean but BEWARE of all the EXTRA FEES and LONG walks through the sand to the beach! We booked our "great deal" on Priceline, LOL! The extra fees are $25 per day to park across the street unless you want valet parking for $30 per day, $50 per day security fee to be refunded 3-5 days after your stay, and a $20 per day per person resort fee for use of the beach chairs and towels! We were told when we checked in that these extra fees are listed in "fine" print on the Priceline site. There is also the main hotel and a 2nd building across the road via a catwalk so without a coffee maker or microwave in the room, it is a long walk and 2 elevators to get to the main building for small cup of free coffee. No continental breakfast. Nothing is extra for the guest unless you pay a fee! This hotel is considered a RESORT so food and drinks are quite expensive. If you are the average income Joe looking for a good deal, this is not the place for you.
The place despite the fact that this house is very cute and comfortable and everything very clean the experience were very Good I loved the area of the pool very nice and is going to walk the waves which I did not like for anything was the cost of the parking I think it is much 30 dollars a night and the room service is expensive also.
Terrible. They charged us $150 when we got here as a "deposit" & then kept charging random fees on top of that for things we never got. The employees didn't know what we were talking about anytime we asked questions. I would not recommend this hotel unless you have a card with an infinite amount of money on it.
Great place to stay in Lauderdale in their price range. Two nice restaurants on site but they do close a little early for my schedule. If you are there on the weekend check out the mermaid show in the bar at 6 o'clock. You will also see why you should be careful of what you do to your girlfriend when you are swimming together. … since everyone in the bar downstairs is watching you.
Two weeks ago me and my husband stayed a B Ocean Resort. Great location! staff is friendly, but front desk employees they do not look happy with their jobs, they do not smile!. Not enough staff in the pool area, no one controls who get in to the pool!, people whithout manners, loud and drunk! you do not need to be hotel guest to use the pool!. Valet parking staff and the beach staff are excellent!. And the hotel next to the beach is nice!. The parking fee is not included in the $25.00 resort fee!
Let me preface this by saying, I love hotels! I have stayed in many of them and I have no problem paying a high price for a quality place. My husband and I stopped by here for the last 3 days of our honeymoon and it was a complete dissappointment. This place was a dump! Don't waste your money! It was brutally over-priced for the quality. We paid over $900 for a 3 day weekend stay with all of the hidden fees. What a joke! The lobby looks okay but the rooms are gross. I reserved an "ocean view" room, a must for me at all of my trips to the beach. I even called twice before the trip to make sure it was ocean view and ocean front. In our first room, the beach was completely blocked by a tree. They moved us to the fifth floor. I was pleased with their accommodating us until I realized that they put an additional charge on my bill for it. A room I had pre-booked and specifically requested in the first place?!? Tacky! The parking fee is an additional $25. They charge you a resort fee, tell you that your beach chairs are included but then charge an additional $20 for your umbrella? The crappy just kept on coming with this place. The balcony rooms are not ocean front, as it was presented to me when I called. It takes at least 10-12 minutes to get from your room to the beach because you have to walk through one B-Ocean buidling, then outside and then through another B-Ocean building to get to the beach.
Beware of mold. Hallways are very noisy all hours of the day. Found myself locked out of my room two days in a row due to a faulty card reader that was "fixed. " Everything is terribly overpriced. Try and stay in the Beach Tower or you will end up with a gross, damp room. Pool area is nice, but closes at 10pm. Great beach front with many turtle egg nests. Nice little BBQ are and sand volleyball courts, although you must have your own volleyball? Beware of pricey resort and parking fees. Fridge in room, but no microwave.
I'm very happy with this resort Great location, it's one of the few with a private beach. Unlike most that you have to cross the street. The staff is great very friendly and helpful. Free bike rentals, morning coffee and beach chairs. The room was clean and well kept. A lack of outlets or just really hard to find lol. Found them after 2 days on the side of the desk. The gym is nice. But honestly with this great view and breeze better off running outside and there is an outdoor gym 5 mins away walking north in the park. My only complaint is the food. Dos Caminos needs a better menu and healthier options. Same goes with the pool side service. Plastic to go tupperware come on I'm not going anywhere I want a variety of salads and healthy options. It just seems right it is a beach community. Starbucks cafe looks good. Then they told me dos Caminos is they're kitchen :/ Overall I'm happy you definitely get your money's worth and I would come back. Manager Amy told me they are renovating which I'm surprised everything looks newly done so I would definitely stay again.
PROS :Really. Good location, pool next to the beach, clean, fridge in room. CONS : hidden $25. — parking a day, A/C in hallways doesn't work, no breakfast. Included (another hidden cost), mold in a/c ducts. No. Coffe maker in rooms, for a caffeine adicts like me that is terrible. C- Ps: dont reserve throu expedia, travelocity etc, your reserve get lost somewhere, manager did everything to get our room AAA+++.
I was very pleased to find such a great deal near the beach. The place is old with history but you could probably never tell as it's very well kept and modern looking. The staff was just A+ all around and the amenities just made this place a definitely return. I highly praise the B and would recommend all of my friends and family if they were ever to come in the area. Also, the room we were given, 1080, probably the best as it has a ocean and marina view.
Today, my last day here, while sitting in a beach chair, I write. This will be our 8th time visiting Fort Lauderdale in the past year. It's our favorite beach! My first day I was shocked by a $40.00 a day parking/resort fee, WHAT? Well, you get two chairs every day and only 2 free drinks for your whole stay! CRAZY. Breakfast $13.00 for 3 pancakes, again CRAZY! The hotel was clean, and it should be, the room was nice but average. There was a turtle in our room. "very cute" my daughter loved it. For $29 you can take it home. beach front. Sure I guess only if you upgrade to the beach tower. We stayed across the street in the marina tower and used the provided sky walk which was nice for our kids. I wanted beach front and nothing indicated walking across the street. In other words there are cheaper more convenient hotels that are just as nice with free parking, free chairs, and use of a BBQ grill, of which I just cross the street and beach lots of it. The beach pool is small, the provided chairs are very cramped with no walking space. NOT FUN! The beach bar staff / drinks average. Prices are high which is expected but not over priced to much. (INSIDE TIP) Next door is a locals bar/restaurant with a great marina/sunset veiw with pool/hot tub use with 1/2 the price and a very fun atmosphere. Would I stay here again. NO! Not even if it was 1/2 price. The hotel is AVERAGE, The staff is AVERAGE. Except we did not get room service on the first day.
The room was warm. Air conditioning did not work properly. I had the thermostat down to 60 and the room still wasn't cool. I reported the issue twice with no change in the air conditioning. The bathroom was even hotter when taking a shower. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The shower had black mold on the grout and on the ceiling. On Friday, the bar had smaller drink cups than they had on Wednesday and Thursday. One poolside server loudly chastised a guest by saying, "And so you are not giving a tip. " It felt like all of the poolside servers I dealt with needed a personality check. Very disappointing. The Sheraton seemed to hire better personnel and kept the rooms cleaner. p. S. Don't take that cute stuffed turtle that will be on the bed. It is for sale! We actually thought a child had left it in the room.
NEW management! This used to be a Sheraton and they kept all their good reviews from that era! BEWARE. They now SUCK! I just stayed here in spring 2015. First they "lost" my reservation? Took over an hour to get my room and at first they said they couldnt give me a room! How is this possible when I had booked 2 weeks prior with conformation emails and everything?! I also paid extra for a Ocean View room. Well it turns out it was a half building, half ocean view. Air conditioning was screwed up badly. It was either on, or off basically. It was cold in the room so I turned the room to 76 degrees instead of 70. Well it just kept pumping in freezing air. Clearly was colder than 76. And oh yea, the windows are glued shut so you cant get any fresh air. next were the room key cards. This is pretty simple but makes no sense to me. There are no arrows on the card to show you which way to put it in. I found myself flipping the card back and fourth trying to get into the hotel and my room all the time. I have never seen another hotel key card not have arrows for which side to use. Seems idiotic to me. I will never stay here again. There are plenty of other hotels near by with better reviews. Dont stay here.
Hotel location was excellent. Room was clean and staff was friendly. Right on the beach, can walk right out to beach or pool! also within walking distance to strip. Definitely going back to ths hotel. Would definitely recommend. Resort fee of 20.00 entails 2 complimentary drinks, 2 waters daily, beach chairs, towels and can also use bikes for recreational tour. Overall enjoyed my stay here. Beach tower side with excellent view.
Wow I Went Here This Is Cool It Located On Ft. Lauderdale From Florida And It Use A Boverlard Beacuse It Control On The A1A And I Like It So I Knew It Is On Seabreeze Blvd In USA And It Have A TV And This Use A Thing For It And That Make Sense So I Went Here Beacuse I Take The Airport In That.
The B Ocean Resort is a great resort! It is located ON Fort Lauderdale beach. Most of the resorts are one the other side of the road and you have to walk across two line of traffic to get to the beach so this is well worth it. The Wreck Bar is awesome and check out the mermaid show on Friday or Saturday day.
Toxic mold in the rooms We got this on Priceline and they put us in room 405. The hotel was decent, but the room had toxic mold on the curtains and bathroom vent. We asked to get moved to another room but they said they were booked. After two days in the room my wife and I could barely breath. We asked again to get switched but no dice. We talked to other guests and they had similar issues with there room. Front desk did nothing to help. If you are looking for a cheap hotel that can give you health problems, book here. Otherwise I would go somewhere else.
SPECTACULAR! I booked a room for my birthday weekend for Saturday. And I was surprised by my significant other and he had booked for the Thursday and Friday so It became a 3 day weekend stay at this hotel. The room was amazing (1203) top floor below PH. Corner room with two sided of view to the Ocean. I was in heaven. I can see the sunrise while sitting up in bed. Which was amazing all three days. Definitely would love to stay here again.
I went to B Ocean, thinking that it would be nice. The staff and the amenities just blew my mind. It's the best hotel I've stayed in so far, for that price. I just wish I remembered the name of that champagne bottle that was suggested to me. Best champagne I've had in a while. Thank you so much for such a great service.
