The bar makes the best Old Fashion. I recommend taking advantage of the resort fee and use the equipment and the shuttle. We had a great time on the mountain. We will definitely be back.

Loved the hotel design *bottom floor terrace *, breakfast perfect and amenities great. Service was ok; they need training in recommending places. I don’t know where the concierge was.

We had the most lovely visit at this hotel. The staff were so friendly and the room was fantastic. Everything was spotless and well maintained during Covid. A wonderful, socially distanced holiday for us.

I can’t say enough good things about this Marriott hotel property. It’s in a fabulous Vail slope side location. The hotel is very clean, nicely designed with a Western finish and very modern. The staff from front desk, valet, concierge, housekeeping to bartender were super nice and extremely helpful. This hotel stay helped make and already amazing ski trip even for more fabulous!

Great hotel but checkin at 4:00 is a little over the top. How and why would I pay $700.00 a night and checkin at 4:00. This is absolutely out of control.

I am sorry to say the titanium elite level does not brink any value. Extremely disappointed with titanium service and support. Can never get anything resolve over the phone. Properties never recognize a titanium we have the same poor treatments any guests. Terrible terrible I am ready to switch hotel. If you guys care call me and I will go over all my feedback. 312 764 7072 I have even checking but the experience at the phone is terrible. I called 5 times to schedule a pickup at the airport and no one at the concierge. Tried various time yesterday and tried various time this am.

I was there for a few mins and right after bet I noticed everyone was very friendly and helpful. Especially the valet gentleman was very very very kind and helpful. Thanks goodness for the his help.

The bar staff and hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and just all around great conversationalists! Evgeni, one of the fantastic bartenders, was exceptionally friendly and helpful: Jeremy was also a very nice server, and our experience at the bar was elevated because of their friendliness. I would absolutely stay there again just for the bell hops, bar staff and valet! Rooms were also very nice and they took my skis over to the base of Lions Head and kept them there for me so I didn’t have to carry them to and from. Great all around stay!

I would give it a 3 star rating if I had the option. Staff is wonderful, very clean room, also a great location. Unfortunately they do not have an indoor pool or fitness center. Both of which I was looking forward to. The outdoor heated pool wasn’t even warm…

Worst experience I have ever had with Marriott. Rooms aren’t ready, one person at the check in desk. Told it would be 10 minutes for the room to be ready, yet two hours later we are still sitting in the lobby waiting for someone to get their job done. Never again, marriott.

Love it here — close to Eagle Bahn and Lionshead Village! Rooms recently renovated and great views.

We had reservations this weekend and Vail pass was closed for several hours and we coulnd’t make it to the resort. Unfortunately had to cancel our stay but resort refused to give back any points. This Marriott doesn’t care about your well being and safety to arrive at the resort. They would rather my family stay in our car in inclement weather and wait out the pass opening.

Stayed there this past weekend (early September 2018). The renovations they have done are spectacular. The sleeping rooms have been nicely upgraded. My room had a small balcony with chairs and a table. They have a nice lounge/lobby where they have live music and a bar. They have a great outdoor area with a pool, fire pits and areas for lounging in the Colorado sun. The hotel is also close enough to walk to the various villages (Vail Village, Lions Head, etc. ).

Here for a conference and again a great experience. No matter your reason for staying at the Marriott you need to sample the beer on tap at the check in counter. Free? Free. Great first impression. Rooms are well appointed and the village is close and always a great to visit. Oh and Nespresso machines in the rooms!

Nice hotel with nice amenities. Pool is great for kids. Rooms are good and while construction is ongoing you either get a remodeled room or older room. Negative aspect is outrageous valet parking fee plus outrageous resort fee equals nearly $100 beyond room rate per day.

The hotel was great. Service was amazing, they greeted us with a beer and s’mores. It was an awesome way to welcome us after a long trip. The people at the front desk were very helpful and provided excellent recommendations for dinner and breakfast. The customer service at this hotel was great! The rooms we stayed in were recently renovated and they look great. They’re very modern and super clean. My only compliant is the walls in between rooms were very thin. I could hear people speaking next door, they were speaking loudly but I shouldn’t be able to hear them. I travel all the time for work and in my experience, it’s been rare so I was surprised when I could hear people speaking. Otherwise the stay was great and the hotel staff were amazing.

Such a cozy and cute style with plenty of space and great workers. They have free shuttles to take you into the cities close by and there are a million things to do around this location! Beautiful property by a wonderful creek and plenty of wildlife. Just the other day I saw a red fox and a mule deer with her babies running through the trees. Absolutely gorgeous!

I love this place. It is a great Marriott with a good location near Lionshead. The free Vail bus stops right in front of the hotel. They have some awesome rooms that overlook the mountain. Good restaurant and bar. Nice pool area. They treat Elites very well here. It is one of the best places to stay in Vail especially if you are a Marriott person. I have stayed at the Vail Four Seasons and the Vail Marriott is much better.

Amazing rooms and views for an excellent price. The staff is amazing and ready to serve. Access to the village is right outside the hotel. Access to the river trail in Ford Park is also close. The attached picture is of part of the trail.

Excellent customer service. The staff was very knowledgeable about the area. We are a family of 6 so we booked joining rooms (2 doubles and 1 king room) with Mountain View and shared a balcony. Would highly recommend the resort.

This was really an amazing stay. The key cards are really responsive and quick, concierge was extremely polite, and service was prompt. There were many services included in the resort fee, like free whiskey and beer samplings!

Rooms are nice. Not super updated but good. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Really enjoyed the experience. When we were there it was between seasons and there were few people there. Very nice rooms w fireplaces. I would highly recommend and and will return.

Thought I found a great deal at $140 for a night. Then I got the email confirmation showing $35 extra per day as a valet fee. Okay, it's Vail, sounds like something a company would do there, but it would have been nice to know about before I booked the room. The stay at the hotel was pleasant enough, but when I got home, I found my card charged $40 more than I expected, even with the valet fee. I had to call the hotel to get a receipt emailed to me. Where I found a $40 resort fee tacked on. I saw nothing about a resort fee at the time of booking, nothing in the confirmation email, so I called the hotel and asked to speak to a manager. The manager informed me that the hotel had a choice to either raise the rates on their rooms, or to add the resort fee, so they chose to tack on the resort fee at the end. When I explained to the manager that this was a shady business practice, he said there was nothing he could do. I can't stand companies that are not upfront about their fees and will not be staying here again.

We visited in the of season just as everything shuts down in spring. Along with our complimentary breakfast at the front desk, the hotel provided a list of restaurant closings and specials for restaurants that remained open. The s'mores open bar and whiskey tasting were a pleasant surprise in the afternoon and transportation to and from the hotel around Vail was very convenient.

Great location and service was awesome! Only area they could use improvement is updating the rooms, they are pretty outdated. Also, our AC didn't seem to work and we were there when it was in the 50s, so at night we had to leave patio door open.

Staff great. Hotel old. 5 stars for staff. 2.5 for decor. Hot tub pretty terrible when compared to other area hotels.

Excellent facilities, lovely staff. Even had outdoor fires & marshmallows to toast. Ski hire and they take your skis to the gondola for you! I had a conference here, I didn’t stay in the Marriott as it was a bit expensive for me, but a very good experience.

Had to stay here because of a snow storm. Hotel was extremely overpriced, from room price to room service to restaurant prices. Very few amenities and very small room.

Really nice, albeit a bit outdated, place. I think they are updating soon. The service was great all around, and we really enjoyed the fun little details like s'mores in the afternoon. It's one of the further hotels from the slopes but still not a terrible walk. Beds were comfy and everything was super clean. My biggest complaint really has nothing to do with the hotel itself… We were very put off when we went down to the hot tub at 9pm to find it full of children who were very obviously sick with awful coughs, coughing straight into the water. Like I said, not the hotel's fault, but it would be nice if there had been an adults only area. Overall though, I'd happily stay there again.

Great place for winter ski get away. The staff really take care of the guests. Car vallet crew are the best!

Location is good. Service level is above average, but not great. Ski valet lost son's skis at checkout, delaying departure by an hour. Would look for alternatives before returning.

The service was very good. The rooms are very clean. The place is very nice and luxurious. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

My wife and I recently arrived for a 9 day vacation to celebrate my 60th birthday. Prior to arrival the concierge staff was excellent to work with to set up numerous outdoor activities for us since I do not ski — snow cat tour, dog sledding, snow mobile excursion, snow shoe excursion, evening horse drawn sleigh ride with dinner, spa appointments. Upon arrival the front desk staff was friendly and had our room ready. Throughout our stay the staff has gone out of their way to make our week special, even sending surprise items to our room for my birthday and our anniversary. Food and became Service has been fantastic. The location is ideal — close to the slopes, all sorts of shops and restaurants, and with a bus stop right at the front entrance. We will definitely stay here on our next Vail vacation.

We stayed here over the Christmas holidays and had a great time! It wasn’t as close as I thought it would be to the gondola, however they do valet ski service and that makes it worth it. Also they had activities every day, whiskey tasting and nightly s’mores. It was truly a great experience and all staff we encountered were accommodating and friendly. Highly recommend!

We stay here every summer for a family trip to the mountains. Affordable compared to everything else in the area, though you still pay the Vail premium. Lots of good things here: — 2 pools (one indoor, one outdoor) and 3 hot tubs! — easy to access from main road while being walking distance to the Lions head village (across the street) — s'mores and lemonade in the afternoon which was a huge hit with the kiddos. — friendly staff for every encounter we've had. As with the many pros, there were some downsides. — pretty much have to use the valet parking (not cheap) — breakfast is pricey. The coffee station is an alternative option but is pricey and nothing special. — the rooms have a deck (awesome) that is shared with another room (weird). For some families this may be a nice feature, but for us we have to constantly keep our boys from invading privacy of others We love this place. Will continue to stay each summer so long as we can find a reasonable deal.

$30 for an omelette? Really? Eggs are about. $. 20 each. I get markup, but, really? No wonder there were about 5 people in the dining room for breakfast. Live music… Meh… Rooms are nice… little amenities are nice (ski valet is a bonus), but overall, not fantastic.

They were so accommodating. My mom was on crutches and they made it easy for her to get around. They truly gave us a 5 star experience while we stayed here. I will definitely be back at some point and recommend this place to others!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Did not order room service or eat at the hotel. Parking was a breeze and check in and check out was equally as easy as well. Did some snow boarding, the snowboard valet was a handy service provided by the hotel.

I work in Vail at the mountain, very good service and a very clean and safe village. I would recommend the resort to any of my friends and family. Colorado is awesome!

This place was nice, very nice. We enjoyed our stay. What I did not enjoy was the $35 per person resort fee that got charged to my credit card 2 days after I checked out. In no way was it explained to me at check in that I would incur this charge. I was simply handed a card displaying the great features available under the resort fee, but the card also did not make it clear that this charge was automatic. Not happy.

A great resort in Lionshead Village in Vail. Rooms are large and well maintained. Beautiful mountain view rooms are available. Room prices are usually very reasonable. Restaurant and Bar offer good breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, and room service is available. There is an on-site ski/bike shop that both rents and sells a large selection of high quality gear. There are both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, and a spa. There is an on-site Starbucks cafe. A bus stop located just outside the front door for the Vail Town bus can get you anywhere in Vail for free.

Beautiful town and nice Marriott overall. They tout private balconies, but it's really just one big one separated by metal fencing. I can see right into my neighbors room and have the lovely hum of industrial air conditioners on my 'private balcony' I would still stay here again despite… great location.

I'm here for a lawyer conference and the accommodations and staff are amazing. I was upgraded to a nicer room and everyone from the bartenders to the staff at the gift store were amazing. If you get a chance, say "Hi" to Chelsea. She was kind enough to show my group of three around Vail one night, taking us to a great restaurant and some fun local bars. The next day she put gift baskets in all of our rooms. As far as conference accommodations, we have a 500 person conference with plenty of room and the setup allowed us to easily go from one giant room to two smaller rooms in a matter of minutes. I highly recommend this resort!

We had a great time visiting the Marriott in Lionshead the servers were very kind and helpful. They were especially gracious with my two small children running around the hotel. They even have a little game room w old arcade games. Great for kids. Didn't get to use it but the pool area looked amazing, plus good bar options downstairs. Plus location is incredible.

This was my 1st time in Vail and I had a great experience with the Marriott. All staff were friendly and helpful! We last minute upgraded to a better room with no extra fees, just the difference in price which was very small. The valet guys were pretty quick and always kind and very helpful with directions (Since it's off season and several places were closed, they let us know what was open and the easiest way there). We had a huge, 2 day, group event and everything went so smoothly! The only thing I can complain about (which wasn't even worth complaining) is the coffee we were served at breakfast really messed up stomach and my husband's as well. But since they have Starbucks convienently located on our floor we were just fine for the next day. We had discounts on breakfast, fee was waived on our Wi-Fi, we were offered discounts on spa services and wine, and we had a late checkout as well. And the beds were soooooo comfy! I could even go on longer… It was just a great stay!

Very clean, nice resort. Make sure to factor in extra costs when looking to book. Every amenity is extra.

Nice place. Can't believe they try to charge for internet, but you can bypass the fee with a free rewards card. I was able to get 11mbps in my room.

Meh. Room will not knock your socks off in terms style or decor. Nicer hotels in Vail at this price range. Much in need of the renovations planned for summer of '16. Staff gave me free cans of Pepsi when I couldn't find vending. My experience with the front desk was great overall.

It was good. Staff was nice. My only complaint is the stickers tgey b put on your skis for ski valet. I hate stickers on my skis. They're a pain to take off and I don't want to look like one of the crappy skiers that rents their skis.

The location of the vail Marriott is perfect for riding the slopes. The short walk is a nice outdoor experience and you don't have to worry about carrying your skis with the ski valet. The outdoor hot tub is a perfect place to chill after a wonderful day skiing. The interior is modernly designed and has a very open atmosphere. The staff are all very polite and prepared for questions that the guests have. The wait staff is timely and friendly. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

I stayed over Christmas. The decorations were nice and the staff was lovely! I was not very impressed with the room though. The shower pressure was terrible, there was not toilet paper stocked, and no tissue. I like to sleep with my room being cool *not cold* so when I went to turn the thermostat down to 65 it blew lukewarm air all night because it was unable to cool. I ended up having to open my balcony door slightly just to cool off the room and keep it cracked all night. Also the hallways were very cold a lot of the day while I was here. I heard other guests talk about the same thing so I know I wasn't just being picky about the temperature. I understand that things happen but for the price I spent on my room would have expected everything to go a little more smoothly.

This hotel is the worse hotel I have ever been to all becuase of Krista Kies the Reservation Manager. Krista Kies is such a nasty, mean, rude, disrestpectful, racists person. Upon check in she treated us with no respect and she made our stay very unpleasant. I would never do business with any Marriot becuase of Krista Kies. She tryed to put us in a standard room when we paid for a lodge room, when I ask her about it she tryed to lie through her teeth. When she gave us the new room key she said" Here are you keys and I dont ever want to hear or see you guys again" Clearly she does not know what customer service is about. Marriot are a bunch of theifts that try to rip you off and of course charge you for extra things when you check out. I paid in advance for our rooms and upon check out we still got charge 65.00 that they couldn't even explain when I ask them about it. Can you say (ROBBERS) Krista Kies stereotyped us upon check in, she had the nerve to tell me " The minute you guys walked in you guys came in all hyped". Who in there right mind says that, the one and only racists Krista Kies. My stomach gets upset just mentioning her name. She made our stay very awful. She belittled us and made us feel very un welcome. She's one nasty person and I will never ever give my money to you guys. You need hire better people that dont make your customers feel like crap. Shes is a racists person and you guys dont need that type of people working there.

It's pretty good. The rooms are nice, and the room service is quick and tasty. No complaints here.

Visiting for a conference. They were out of regular rooms so we got upgraded to a junior suite at no extra cost. The Wi-Fi included is fast enough for streaming and the fireplace is cozy. The location is great being right next to the ski slopes and Lionshead Village with a bus stop right out front to go further into Vail.

The staff is wonderful & went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. The hotel had a complementary s'mores bar & a fire for us to enjoy!

I cannot say enough good things about Marriott at Vail. It has everything you need at your fingertips, even filtered water dispensers for bottles on every floor and lobby. It is clean, convenient and the food is great to boot. I highly recommend this hotel for every stay in vail. I cannot wait to return.

The hotel gets 5 stars for décor, but then it goes downhill from there. We checked in at 1PM were told room is not ready. Got a call 30 min later that the room was ready, but oops, it was a mistake. They called the wrong person. At 5PM we were tired of waiting and had spent $70 in drinks and appetizers in the lobby, so my husband checked at the desk. They said our room was ready and they did not know why we were not called. We were then told that we are not in room 590 as was originally put on our documents, we were now in room 130. In route to the room, they gave us a welcome card that gives us a free drink in the lobby. Thanks but we would have appreciated more at 1PM, not 6:00 PM. Fortunately, my husband was smart and picked his and the kids ski gear out of our bags in the lobby and spent part of the day skiing, but my day of reading and relaxing in the room was for not. They temporarily lost our boot bags at one point, and on day two they temporarily lost my skis. I guess because I didn't ski with the rest of the family on day one. The food is excellent and the employees are really nice. But the management of this hotel is really poor. Other people were having a similar problem as us. The lobby lounge was packed. I believe a hotel that accommodates skiers that come in for 2-3 day long weekend trips cannot have problems like this. Their customers can't afford to loose a day of their vacation due to management problems.

Adequate hotel but beware a hidden valet charge because they give you no other option. Its either pay that or find somewhere else to park which probably won't be free. If I am paying $100+ for a night is it too much to ask to be able to park my car for free.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had. The people in the next room were partying throughout the night. I don't mean just laughing and having a good time. They were getting super drunk, playing bear pong like they were in the super bowl. I had to call security multiple times and each time the lady who answered was rude and the security guy did pretty much nothing. Finally at 2 am, I called and asked if there was possibly another room for me to sleep in and they said the hotel was completely booked, which I am sure was not true. I am appalled at the way the situation was handled by the hotel staff. I would recommend you stay at a hotel you can actually sleep at with a more courteous staff.

The luxury and convenience of skiing on/off on a mountain like Vail spoils one for life. The hotel is one of the best in the area but a little off the main town area. The hotel does not have much to do during after hours and the town is a short shuttle ride away.

The hotel is beautiful and our upgraded suite was lovely — a bit small, but lovely. It was nice of them to leave us booties to wear to the pool, along with a Vail Resorts reusable bag and a bottle of water. However, we noticed that the bottle of water was distributed from Dallas Municipal water sources (? ) So apparently Vail is cutting corners where possible. The pool was well enjoyed, but it was also rather dated looking. Food was good, and incredibly overpriced. But hey. Its Vail.

The staff was more than helpful and friendly. The resort was very clean and well kept. The main restaurant was not open but we were staying in the off season so that was to be expected. I am trying to find a "constructive criticism" but cannot.
