Awful experience because of the employee named John. John made an AirBnB listing for a seemingly nice home in Frisco, so I proceeded to book it. But, as it turns out, the house listed as an "entire house" actually had the owners staying in the downstairs, even though we were paying over $800 a night. I proceeded to ask him if the owners would be there that weekend and if I could cancel. He ignored my questions and simply told me that I needed to be 25 to rent the place even though I would be 24 years and 50 weeks old at the time. So, I asked him again whether they would be there and whether I would be able to check in (all of my guests are 25 to 30 years old), and whether I would be able to cancel. Yet again he ignored my questions and told me I could cancel for free within the first 24 hours. So, I went to cancel at hour 18, but I was only going to receive $385 back out of $2, 518. I told him this and asked my previous questions again. He took 3 days to respond, even though he has to respond to the guests within an hour. When he finally responded, he completely ignored my questions and statements and simply said he wouldn't be cancelling the reservation, I would need to. I had to call airBnB to have them resolve the issue. They told me he isn't allowed to discriminate by age unless under 21 and that his ad was deceptive and had misleading information. AirBnB then issued me a refund as his expense. I am just glad I didn't have to go through my credit card company.
