Monarch Mountain Lodge I am truly disappointed that a refund will not be issued due to illness. You would think that in these times an individual trying to protect others by staying home as recommended by the US Center For Disease Control and the Governor of the State of Colorado would not be penalized. However, your greed and "holiday weekend policies" are probably more important then the health of your guests. This Lodge is not a place I would ever go again. The staff is extremely rude and unwelcoming. Phones don’t work in the lodge at all, we had a big group and each of us had different phone carriers and not one person could make a phone call. The lodge “doesn’t” have Wi-Fi throughout the building. The only place that has Wi-Fi is the bar and the bar is only open a few hours out of the day. The bar tender her has a foul mouth and is extremely unprofessional. The rooms are dirty and moldy. They are extremely over priced. I believe it was 300.00 a night somewhere in that neighborhood. We are from Arkansas and go to Monarch mountain to ski at least once a year. We are already going back at the end of this month and have chosen to rent through air bnb. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for anyone. If you notice they don’t have many pictures on their page of the lodge. You definitely don’t get what you pay for. I did complain about our experience and they didn’t care at all. A vacation is supposed to be a time to relax and enjoy yourself. I had a hard time sleeping due to the dampness is the room and the odor. The Baymont in Salida which is about 10 min away from the monarch lodge is way nicer. We stayed at Baymont one night because we arrived earlier than expected. I would have preferred to stay there the whole trip if I would have known how awful Monarch Lodge is. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else.

Stayed at the lodge last week on monday & Tuesday night. Kathy made the reservation on the phone and was very helpful and cheery. Fred checked us in. He could do better.
Chef Max was awesome and made a very excellent dinner! He treated us like V. I. P. S. Definitely eat at the restaurant.
The room was clean and warm with a nice view.
We enjoyed the pool. Just wish the sauna was working and the hot tub a little more hot.
It's the nearest place to schralp Monarch ski area, I'd stay there again.

Great location for skiing Monarch. This lodge is no frills, but clean and convenient. All of the staff we came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. It’s more of a mom and pop place verses a chain or boutique hotel. The Wi-Fi and cell service are bad, but we used the time to connect as a family without phones in our faces. There are a lot of things that could be improved, but overall a good experience.

Very Understaffed, 6 poor workers running the place. Nothing is working. Dirty. Breakfast included, if you want cereal eating in styrofoam to go containers or bagels or muffins. Dinner available was Dominos pizza because of lack of staffing. No front staff half the visit because he/she was in restaurant/bar or cleaning. Coffee shop advertised does not exist. Coffee pots in rooms-nope. DO NOT WASTE your money.

I stayed at the lodge with a couple of friends of mine and it was an incredible trip! The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff showed excellent hospitality, and I really enjoyed the beautiful river in the back of the lodge. I would definitely recommend staying here!

This is the PERFECT getaway spot for anyone looking for a vacation. Me and my friends stayed there last weekend, and we absolutely enjoyed every second there. The views are phenomenal, the staff from the lodge were so helpful and assuring, and the rooms were so clean and comfy, we could not thank Monarch Mountain Lodge enough!

Wonderful experience. Love the rustic lodge and the backyard is beautiful. The Monarch river flows right behind the property with a lovely heart shaped pond. With hiking in every direction and the Monarch Ski Area just up the road. I could not ask for a better place to vacay. Will most definitely be back soon.

If you are looking for a beautiful setting at an affordable price — yes! If you are looking for food, room service and luxury not so much. We loved being there, we were not looking for fancy. It’s a great location with easy access to Leadville, Bueno Vista and Gunnison. Amazing views! Our room was comfy and dog friendly. Do not expect food service or daily room upkeep. We went to Salida to eat. I would return in hopes the management improves.

We had a great time here. Rooms where clean and spacious. Nice pool and hot tubs. A little hiking a pond. Friendly service. They had a weight room And a lot of games to play. We waited to late to play games. They closed it. But it was a good time.

This place was awesome this weekend. Celebrated a birthday and got married. Staff displayed the best hospitality I have seen in forever. I really want this place to make it. It’s the only place to stay close to the mountain, but our first stay under the new ownership was a let down. We waited for 20 minutes at the front desk, were given a room at 4pm and found that the room wasn’t cleaned yet. We went back to the front desk and found that every other group checking in when we did (5 groups) also had been sent to uncleaned rooms. One poor couple had a baby they were trying to entertain on the lobby floor. We all then waited a full hour+ for the rooms to be cleaned. The bathroom in our room was never cleaned. I didn’t bother saying anything, it was good enough, but we asked if we could maybe get a drink voucher or something for the debacle and were shut down. I’m sure staffing is difficult at this place as it’s out of the way and difficult to get to in the winter consistently but it’s still frustrating to drop $150 for a dirty room that you have to wait 75 minutes after checking in for. But they let us have our pup in the room and our waitress was awesome and you can’t beat the location here, tons to do right out the front door. These mountains are pretty special.

Great property and customer service. We loved our stay here so much! It was well worth the price. They had nice pool and hot tub. We loved it.

Keeping in mind that you don't have much of a choice when staying very close to Monarch, this will do. The room was comfortable and clean when we stayed in August, though I wouldn't call the decor great by any means. The TV was good quality and had lots of channels. The Wi-Fi didn't work in our room on the lowest floor. The restaurant was acceptable if you just want a meal or to drink beer. I could imagine that the walls might be thin, judging by the age of the hotel, but I don't think we had any neighbors while we were there. I was disappointed to find out that we couldn't book a dog-friendly king room, but the two-queen room was fine. Unfortunately, it seems that all the dog-friendly rooms are on the lower floor, so we could get neither a balcony nor a good view. It's also the level with the pool, which means it has lots of foot traffic. However, I never got the feeling that dogs weren't welcome, since there was a dog hanging out behind the counter.

This place has a lot of promise. It needs some work so the 4 stars are a bit high, however, for the money it was a good deal, better than 3 stars. If the staff cleans up the place, it would be a solid 4

The reason for the five stars is the staff of the hotel. They do a great job in accommodating their guest with what they have. During summer is not that far from the rafting and winter you are right there on the ski action. The hotel needs some updating, but if you look pass that is a great option for your money.

Great place. Don't listen to the reviews. We had no choice when booking as this was the only thing within a 100 miles last min, so we booked despite reading the horrible reviews and all I have to say is we were more than surprised as to the level of service and accommodations. The kids loved the pool/arcade area and we got to enjoy the hot tub after a very long day of hiking. Sure they have actual keys for the locks rather than cards but that is about the only thing that was out of date in my book. Its definitely not the Ritz Carlton but it's miles higher than the sleazy motel 6 the reviews paint it as. Staff was more than friendly and even cut us some slack a few times, cause we had 12 people in our party including 5 kids. I definitely would stay here again.

We are staying at the Monarch Mountain Lodge for 4 nights while my boyfriend bikes the Colorado Trail. We choose the lodge for the location, relative to trailheads. The lodge itself is very outdated and in major need of a facelift. But that’s not even the worst part of our stay. Upon checking in, we were notified by the front desk guy that they had a bear in their dumpster area the previous night. He advised us to be cautious, as we have our dogs with us. We appreciated the n…otification from him. We went out. For the evening, and upon returning at 9:30pm, we drove around back, as we’re on the first floor on the end near the exterior door. However, as soon as we were next to the dumpster, we saw a bear inside the dumpster, helping himself to a late night snack! We drove back to the front of the building, and came in through the lobby. We notified the man at the front desk that there was a bear in the dumpster and he told us he would go “run him off. ” This is apparently not the first time that this has occurred. The next morning, I went to the front desk and found the same man working there. I asked him about the bear and he said “Oh Boo Boo is harmless. I chase him off all the time. ” He said chasing off bears isn’t that crazy to him because he’s been divorced twice. What!? I was absolutely appalled by his lack of concern and the fact that he found it funny! It’s very clear why they have a bear problem — their dumpsters are not locked or bear-proof.

DO NOT STAY HERE — Given that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere, I called (twice) in advance to see if the "newly remodeled" restaurant would be open. After driving 200 miles, we arrived and sure enough, the restaurant was NOT open. I asked for a refund, and they provided me Crystal "the chef's" cell phone #. She apologized and said that it was not a problem and that I would not be charged and that I would receive a confirmation email to confirm. WELL, no confirmation email and they had the audacity to charge my credit card, 3 weeks later. When I called, they said I didn't give 48 hours notice, so I would not receive a refund and did not care that that 2 people, misinformed me that the restaurant would be open. Bottom-line, I NEVER would have stayed at a hotel in the middle of nowhere, if the restaurant was not open. Every person I dealt with at Monarch lodge had a chip on their shoulder, with the exception of Crystal, who guess what, "doesn't work there anymore. " Do yourself a favor and stay in Salida!

I enjoyed this hotel very much. But I feel that there should be very good Wi-Fi everywhere in the hotel. And even when I went to the restaurant it still doesn’t load anything. So if your going to stay here make sure you don’t have any important emails or text messages.

Our stay at the Monarch Mountain Lodge was great. It was a last minute booking for our anniversary and at first I was pretty apprehensive. Initially, I felt like we had paid too much — the hotel itself is kind of run-down. However, the staff were amazing and were so hospitable. They provided us with help when we needed it a couple times and were incredibly kind and respectful. It was a lovely time!

As fate would have it, my truck broke down right across from Monarch Mountain Lodge. My co-worker and I were lucky because this place was wonderful! Chris B would bend over backwards for anyone! He is a great person and the Monarch Mountain Lodge was awesome! Only slight drawback is the Wi-Fi and cell signal is sporadic but that is not their fault. Beside they offer free long distance on their land lines. Thanks so much Chris and company! You bailed us out big time!

Staff were extremely rude, I understand someone having a bad day, but to be sworn at, abusive body language, and to top it all staff member suggested I was lying! On balance the manager was very good at resolving the issue, and promised that the individual would receive retraining and and long one to one discussion to customer interaction at that was no reason to speak in that manner One star given for the managers intervention, but I would suggest to never stop here.

Stayed here after going to the kebler pass. If you're wanting to unplug from the city life this is the place to go beds are extremely comfortable and the staff is very helpful! Beautiful views! Room very clean!

Very beautiful location with a nice indoor heated pool, outdoor hottubs with incredible views, ping pong and loads of personality. If you want something familiar with modern amenities then you'll probably look elsewhere, but I loved the quirky place and the staff was very kind and helpful. Be ready to unplug from tech and enjoy where you are.

It is a beautiful place. It's a great place for a nice get away. Of course every place has its corks but still great place to stay. It's about 5 mins from skiing and the restaurant has great food to bad they did not open for lunch but hey what can you do. The prices are not bad either. Staff is a little short but they still make the experience like no other. Always has a smile and great attitudes.

I’m a little late on this review, but me, my boyfriend, and our dog stayed here for the first time the last week of January. We had never even heard of Monarch until the week before. They had a huge snow storm the Sunday we drove in. So we got there super late and had to call the guy to let us check in, but he was super friendly. He explained to us that the people before us had left a mess in the room we had reserved. So they were giving us a different room. Which was totally fine with us, but Nice of him to let us know before hand. The breakfast was so good and a very good price. We also had drinks at the bar that night with Andrew the bartender. He was so friendly. We even realized that we needed to either pay for another night or had to do a late check out on Tuesday because we still wanted to ski all day and then head home that night. But we had our dog with us, and we forgot to make plans around that. We explained that to Andrew, and he said that he would take care of us. I called the front desk the next morning, and the guy said that was totally fine to do a late check out with no problem, even with the late notice. I wish I would’ve gotten the guys name at the front desk. But overall him and Andrew were amazing to us. They were so nice and we both had the best ski trip we’ve ever taken (and we’ve both skied our entire lives). We will definitely be back with our friends and family next time!

This place is not where I go for the modern spa day. Instead, there is no where else I feel more at home in the mountains relaxing and doing some perfect ski days. Drinks are cold and wet and the heated pool always does me right.

My husband and I have had 2 great stays at the Monarch Mountain Lodge. For the price you pay and the proximity to Monarch ski resort, this place can't be beat. Our room was clean and tidy, we had a huge king bed with comfy sheets and a down comforter. The second weekend we stayed here we even got a room facing the mountains that had a shared balcony, which was nice. The hot tub was great (they have a total of 3 hot tubs, 1 was broken but 2 were working). We ate dinner at the restaurant both weekends as well, and it's pretty yummy (chicken wings are good, lots of bottled beer selection, full bar, and our meals were good as well). The walls are a *little* thin, but we just chalked it up to it being an older hotel. The Wi-Fi is extremely spotty but we knew that going in (based on other reviews, and the website itself) and were actually looking forward to unplugging for a bit. We will definitely be staying here again :) *I am also posting this same exact review to Yelp.

Wonderful Experience. Yes, the Hotel is older but whoever originally designed this place was a genius. Multiple hot tubs, with beautiful running stream and trails. Very surreal, beautiful, tranquil environment. Big clean rooms. I stayed with my Husband, Son, and dog a few months ago. Make sure you bring your own food because Salida is the nearest place to grab a good bite to eat; that's why I only gave 4 stars.

The amenities sure make up for the lack of cleanliness. My 10 yr old and I enjoyed the pool, hot tub (even that the jets didn't work), sauna, and ping pong. The hotel wasn't so busy while we were here so we had the place pretty much to our selves. The sheets to both queen beds appeared that there were dog hairs and wrinkly like somebody just slept there. Because my wife wasn't here we just tried to make the best of it, (she would have made us drive to town to stay elsewhere). I tossed and turned all night, one of the worst sleep sessions I've ever had! Woke up with a sore back, not so good because I'm about to spend The whole day riding. The toilet rim had a few "public haires" (pubic hairs) and dried PISS all over the rim, that I couldn't believe… The phone in the room states that local and long distance calls are free, that would be great if the phone worked, we we're able to call the front desk and they were able to call us. Finally, after booking the room I noticed on their Facebook page that if you book a room you'll get a lift ticket to Monarch, well, too late for that I guess.

Friendly staffs. A convenience location for ski and dog sledding. Will visit again if in the area.

The accommodations were pretty good except one major problem. There was no Wi-Fi in the room, only in the lobby. Other than that everything was okay. Unfortunately we probably won't stay at the lodge again if they don't have Wi-Fi available by our next trip.

I admit, we were concerned when we pulled into the nearly empty parking lot and saw the condition of the building, but were encouraged by the "Open Now" sign. Maybe that meant it was undergoing some changes? It was going to either be incredibly quaint, or the makings of a Stephen King novel. Fortunately, it wasn't the latter. Romas at the front desk said that it had been recently purchased by Mars Hospitality and is going to be renovated/converted to Holiday Inn after the upcoming ski season. The staff were all extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean and the decor was stylish. The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet. The shower quite possibly had the highest water pressure I've ever experienced. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. My husband was able to get some really incredible pictures of the Milky Way from behind the hotel. We really like the funky vintage vibe of the place, and hope that Holiday Inn tries to maintain that rather than making it look like all other hotels. There were a few minor issues, some kinks that the new crew was trying to work out. The Wi-Fi signal is pretty sporadic and weak. There was no coffee at breakfast because the coffee maker was broken, but the staff offered us hot tea instead, and we did have a coffee maker in the room. One hot tub was out of service, but there was another one that worked just fine. No air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

The view was amazing. The room was clean. It was an overall nice stay. The breakfast could have used some work.

Absolutely awful. The beautiful pictures on the website are extremely misleading that is NOT what this place is anymore. We drove hours to get to this location to spend the weekend with family to celebrate the holiday. I unfortunately suggested it to everyone and we all drove up together. I was informed by the website that the restaurant was open until 9pm. I even called ahead and was told we couldn't check in until 3 pm because they were "so busy that early check in was not possible". We did not eat dinner during our road trip there because of this. When we checked in, we were informed that the restaurant was NOT open because they only had "two people working and only 7 people checked in, so they decided to close early". This was surprising since the lady on the phone said they were "so busy" that day and also because of the amount of cars in the parking lot. This was also extremely inconvenient due to the fact that the closest restaurant was an hour drive away! The front desk just kept saying they were going under new management so a lot of things were "messed up" right now. We waited for the manager to speak to her about this and were told that "she has been gone for hours and they had no idea when she would be back". They said she may be back at "like 1 in the morning if we want to come back down and talk to her then". This is extremely unprofessional in my opinion.

Horrible experience. Got a dog room and was charged $150 without notice because they were 'barking'. We had to argue the charge and leave the hotel the next morning. That morning, we were then woken up by other dogs barking at 5 a. M.

Room was extremely warm with no way to ventilate. One wash cloth supplied for 2 people. Loud people in the hall. Staff was good, but facility very run down. No options at restaurant but pizza.

Awesome location. Maids don't know how to clean a room. No toilet paper one night, moldy filter in room coffee maker the next.

I used to live near the resort many years ago and remembered it fondly, so I took my family there this weekend. With a 4 day trip planned we left after a day and a half. The resort has changed owners several times in the past few years and has suffered badly from an over all lack of maintaining the facility. The stone work is all deteriorating, all the exterior metal is badly rusted, it hasn't been painted in god only knows how long and the location was closed for an extended period of time (only recently reopened) due to contaminated well water! On the upside the staff was VERY kind and gracious and the area is pretty. Suggestion: ignore this dump and get a nice room in Salida. It is only about 20 minutes south.

Very disappointing stay so far. Room had not been cleaned from the previous guest. One of the beds has dog urine stains on the comforter. Dried puddles of dog urine on the floor. Housekeeping never showed up to clean the room at all today. The room smells of dog urine. I am running to Walmart to grab an airfreshner just to be able to tolerate tonight. There has not been anyone available at the front desk every time I have been by to request the room be cleaned or at least to get a new comforter for the bed. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

I Love this place. The staff is super friendly and the place is like you stepped back in time to the hay day of independent ski lodges. Complete with vintage monarch mountain posters and an 80s style game room. The indoor pool is great as well as the hot tubs for after skiing. I've stayed twice this winter and both times have gotten a clean updated room. Oh and did I mention the views are fantastic. Can't beat it for the price.

For a hotel that went through a 2 — 3 million dollar upgrade, I'd have to say someone got taken. The Wifi does not work unless you are standing in front of the elevator. So having 10-15 people standing there and trying to use the Wi-Fi. The rooms were needing a lot of work, the linoleum floors were bubbled up. The toilet in our room plugged up numerous times and took hotel staff approximately 5 hours to take care of the problem. The curtains are 1 foot short so we had to put a bath towel over the opening. The restaurant is kinda over priced for what you get, it took almost 25 minutes to get your order and some of the food was cold. If I'd have to recommend this hotel to anyone I would strongly suggest staying in Salida and drive the extra 15 minutes to get to the slopes or snowmobiling.

Where to begin… A few short months ago we discovered Monarch Mountain Lodge had reopened! Before you know it, Cale and I did a tour with Miranda of the facility and a short time later had booked our wedding with the lodge! Carolyn and her staff went above and beyond for us and we could not have asked for anything more! I must admit, we were a bit nervous being their first wedding but man… Best day ever! THANK YOU! I would also like to mention that the lodge staff went above and beyond for each of our guests who stayed the night at the lodge. I heard nothing but positive reviews from friends and family! There was a family there who had a son who got sick and threw up on the bed and the staff was right there, no complaints, to clean it up. I, as the bride, woke up the morning of the wedding sick; I called the front desk and they were right at my door offering everything they had to make me feel better. All the staff truly make the guest feel welcomed as family and take great care of all the guests! Out of about 70 guests who stayed at the lodge for our wedding, I did not receive one negative comment; now that's impressive! They are also dog friendly!

Got the last room on a Friday night last summer after driving around in the dark for hours looking for somewhere to stay. Got a reasonable rate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was older, but still very welcoming and I slept like a rock in the comfy bed. When I awoke I was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful view of the lodge's surroundings, as it was far too dark the night before. I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.

This hotel very old school and not in the cozy way it has not had a facelift in a long time which I am not against but there were some questionable hazards that I think would not be up to code (I am not a person who knows building codes) The good: Amazing views from outside hot tubs open until 10 Minutes away from Monarch skiing Rooms were clean 6ft indoor swimming The I will NOT be returning reasons: Wires and multiple extension cords together hanging from the ceiling in multiple hallways and rooms. (one of them was in the pool area) No one managed the pool area so there mere huge puddles building up and the floors are cracked. A good 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door from the room to the hallway Drop Celings You are limited to eating/drinks because there is nothing near by and the food prices range from $13 for a regular burger to $25 for I think it was a trout entrée (not sure). They do serve breakfast — Breakfast burritos for $10 and a menu but they run out of food fast. We ordered at $730 am and they were already out of bacon. A few of the staff members were not very professional one of the girls looked like she was in her pajamas sleeping on one of the couches in the hallway another maintenance man gave my daughter the creeps The advertise a video game room and they have 4 of them 2 of them did not work NO Wi-Fi and zero bars for phone service for AT&T They added $3.

My boyfriend and I visited Monarch Mountain Lodge a few weeks ago and it was the perfect ski getaway for us. We wanted to be off the grid tech-wise, and stay super close to the ski area. The hotel's complimentary shuttles taking us back and forth was perfect for us since we aren't used to driving in the area. We also really liked relaxing in the hot tubs at night and had some pretty decent margaritas and dinners at the bar and restaurant. I liked the hip retro vibe of the interior, and the room was clean, but this is not a luxurious hotel by any means. We weren't there to spend the days indoors anyway! The location, scenery and enjoying the outdoors are what it's all about. Can't wait to revisit in the summer and try some whitewater rafting and fishing!

After reading several negative reviews and seeing it change hands in the last decade, I was curious. Room was sparse but clean. Food was very good. Hotel staff were vere helpful. For a local business, I guarantee Ill stay there again. My kids loved the pool. Vintage video games. 4 min from Monarch… Need I say more?

I've stayed in a lot of bad hotels, ski bumming and work requires a lot of travel. This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The whole place smells disgusting. When I got in my room there were fingernails laying in a corner, crap in the toilet, blood stains on the bed, and random hairs in the bathroom. At about 5am the fire alarm decided to go off and I left the place. I wish I would have stayed in my car. The price is absolutely absurd for such a dive hotel. I complained to the front desk and nothing came of it.

Over priced and pictures do not match lodge. From start to finish horrible experience. When I checked in the woman at the counter was on the phone with her boyfriend and acted like I was ruining her night. Then her mom called and she started yelling at her mom in front of me, awkward. She gave me a key and said that it seemed like they didn't have TV but I just needed to type in the channel and it would work. The key did not work. I took it back she was still on the phone said they were new and they weren't working. Gave me another key that kind of worked. Got into the the room looked nothing like the picture of rooms on the website. There was a weird white substance on both of the beds. Turns out it is popcorn ceiling that fell when the people above us walked around. The TV didn't work at all. Called the front desk. Said she they are new and not working she would send someone to fix it. A woman in pajamas and a teenager come half an hour later. They are there until past midnight, the TV still doesn't work. Front desk calls at 12:30 says they will give us free breakfast since our TV isn't working. The TV next door is working too well can hear through the paper thin walls all night. The mattress and linens are what should have been new and are way too old. All in all, I wish I would have slept in my car.

Not a terrible place to stay, but just want to warn everyone that there is no A/C or fans in the rooms. This can certainly make for a stuffy night, and if you open the window, you get the noise from cars and trucks passing by about 75 feet from your window. As the hotel is located on a hill, trust me it gets noisy. Also the doors allow every bit of noise and conversation to pass right through. So expect to hear everyone in the hall like they are standing right in front of you. Would not visit again.

Loved our stay here. Very quiet and peaceful. Just don't buy the breakfast. $5/person and it was terrible. Super 8 has a much better breakfast.

Place was great. Owners' were very accommodating. Great price, had a heated pool, gym, pool table. Definitely would stay there again.

After reading negative posts about the lodge I was nervous about staying there. We ended up in the aspen suite. Amazing views to wake up to. There was only 1 clerk we talked to and I don't know his name but he gave excellent customer service. Yes the hotel is under renovation but a business can't close doors until it's finished. You still have to make money. Can't wait to come back to Colorado and we will definitely be staying here again even if it isn't finished.

They are in the middle of renovations but it will take alot of money to bring it back to par. Room was clean, but water was not drinkable. Rooms that were renavated were done cheaply, contractor is probably a low bidder. If you are just going to go skiing up the road then its got four walls and a bed, but if you are going to do activities in the county then you might want to go to Salida.

Total renovation! try it now.

I remember this place back in the 70's. Stayed here, skied here. I was here in '79 and it was run down. I stayed here again in 2003 and it had NOT changed at all. Well OK, It did change, It looked worse. It Smelled. They had a game room for the kids and out of 6 game machines, 4 were out of order. This place is definitely NOT kid friendly. I have stayed at Motel 6's better than this place. It needs some serious, SERIOUS updating. I don't know who owns it, But they need to pull their heads out and put some money into it. I warn >>>. If you notice they do not show you any interior photos And their rates are cheaper than Motel 6's. Oh and by the way I am NOT a disgruntled employee, Nor am I an disgruntled ex employee. Just an ex patron.
