Love this place! James and Gloria own it and are wonderful people! Hot tub and pool! Rooms are quaint and comfortable. Affordable prices, they even have weekly rentals! 420 friendly for those that partake, PET FRIENDLY for those with fur babies (which is a rarity in this town…) and it doesn't really matter how many you have! James and Gloria are a true blessing! If someone's being a disturbance, they get rid of them! Locals welcome as long as you follow their rules to keep the place clean and quiet!

SUPER sweet service, really awesome price, clean and quiet room. Nice little hot tub and pool. My mom and I were passing through on our way to the Grand Canyon and this was the perfect stop for the night. If we were in the area again we would definitely stay here again.

Known as the "Tweaker" Inn. Owners are very rude. My buddy and I just went next door to sonic when the owners came over saying they don't want a bunch of traffic and no visitors when I was in town seeing my friend. Felt like there was no privacy after that. Happened only an hour after checking in.

Rent rooms by the week. Hot tub, free parking and continual breakfast. Free coffee. All day for their guests. In summer out door swimming pool. Tables and chairs. Inside and on terrace. It's a wonderful place to spent the night, free Wi-Fi and TV in each room, very quiet even though it's next to busy road.

I'd give these rooms zero stars. Old motel. Rooms could be way cleaner. The lady charged $10 more for my 11 month son to stay and top of that they had bed bugs in one their rooms and they weren't professional at all about the incident they took almost two hours just to come check my room. And all they did switch me to another room and dry my clothes!?! I woke up with over 10 bites. That's how disgusting this place is.

Nice but definitely outdated. The service desk lady polite and helpful. Non smoking rooms are non smoking that's good oh and the bed definitely comfortable. That old back ace wasn't the next morning.

An aged property that is obviously cared for. Bed was super comfortable, room small, but clean. Water pressure could be better. At check in, you'll notice the '420 friendly' signage. Great price for the night. Njoy ur stay.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would! Gloria is a very rude host with no people skills she yells at her customers and uses vulgar language! There is poor maid service. The maid starts drinking on property early in the morning before starting work. Would not suggest this hotel to anyone! Would willingly suggest American holiday Mesa Verde more room, better Wi-Fi and most of all way friendlier hosts.

Owners are so sweet. Appreciated that they are pet friendly for our two cats. Bed linens were soft. Good water pressure in shower. For a more affordable option than the big chain hotels, this is the way to go!

Clean, family owned motel. A way to stay like back in the good old days. Friendly owners that care about their property. Large, clean room. Microwave and fridge in room. Old TV set. Small outdoor pool. Plenty of space to park your car, also with a trailer. We would stay here again anytime. A bit pricy though.

Really nice low budget motel to stay at after Mesa Verde. Don't expect flat screen tvs and other frills. Do expect a clean (best shower I've seen all summer) room and really soft beds. We were in the new section, not the building across from the office which did look different. Continental breakfast was great as far as I was concerned. Again, don't expect protein, but multiple flavors of bagels, several toast types, three cereal choices and danishes.

Room 132… Outstanding beds, very comfortable; clean, nice bathroom; good refrigerator and microwave for a great price! However, this room had a VERY noisy air conditioner. Couldn't use it and sleep. Only used the fan which was quiet. No stopper in bathroom sink. Had to cover drain with towel to keep from losing anything down the drain. Almost all electrical outlets were loose and plugs would not hold in the sockets. Made charging electrical devices a challenge. But for a good night's sleep at a reasonable price, I would highly recommend!

BEWARE! This place is referred by dispensaries, however the mangers are most definitely the rudest, most HATEFUL people I have ever meet. Mind you I work we people are on serious pain and they are cheerful compared to these owners. We try to stay at local places, we believe in supporting locals, will there are plenty of others will try but tonight hotel chain it is. rude, rude, rude. I'm sure im any of the dispensary owners stayed, the cards would be removed!

I was about 20 weeks pregnant and I wanted a non-smoking room with my small children. The lady, also the owner was doing what she could to encourage me to realize I could smoke pot. I told her I don't and she said, "oh but you can, go ahead. " The room was so awful smelling I left everything in the car so it wouldn't pick up the scent. The bed was hard too. And breakfast was just cereal or other day old stale things you wouldn't want to eat. Hopefully it is better for someone else.

Clean efficient room. Comfortable bed. Pleasant staff. Noisy AC, but it worked just fine. A bit pricey for the accommodations, but a safe, clean place to stay.

Good location and rooms spacious with everything you need. The environment of some tenants drogatas and drunk gives a bad impression of doors to the outside. Even so, it is a good option in the range of $ 100

The bed was amazing. Most comfortable bed you'll find for the price. The king-bed room was a little small but it had a safe, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and was perfect for a short stay. There was no tub in our bathroom, but we didn't need it. Great hotel!

You get what you pay for with this place — the rooms aren't perfect, and the place has some age on it, but the management is what gives this place 5 stars! My girlfriend, dog, and I stayed one night and they helped us several times. They gave us extensive information on free places to camp in the area, and they let us park one of our vehicles in their parking lot the next day while we went to Mesa Verde, even though we had already checked out. When we left, my girlfriend forgot her expensive body wash, Shampoo, and Conditioner and I left a decent amount of food in the fridge. When we came back the next day, they had ALL of it wrapped up nicely for us with a smile. If I ever come back through Cortez, I'm staying here again, for sure!

Room was dirty, the TV cable quality was pretty bad (picture had lines and sound quality was horrendous), and the room lacked electrical outlets. Your better off getting a cheaper hotel down the road for a cheaper price.

This place is advertised as a decent inexpensive place. Spend the extra 50.00. Gross room, red carpet was black in most areas. Room smelled like a dirty ashtray. Lady at the front desk was half dressed when we checked in, she was nice though. We felt like we should have a thorough de lousing after staying here. They have a note about charging you for not cleaning up your own room! Lol ghetto to the fullest. I don't recommend unless you need a spot for slamming dope, or to take a hooker. And at almost 100.00 for our room I would stay at Hampton for another 50 bucks. Nastiest motel I've ever stayed in. God forbid you hit this place with luminal and a black light.

It was fine, nothing special. I went down with a group of friends to check out Mesa Verde National Park. We paid $70 each for a couple of rooms. The rooms were your typical motel rooms, no frills. The surrounding neighbors had kind of a seedy element about them but we didn't run into any troubles.

Staff was friendly, room clean, comfortable bed. Price reasonable. Restaurants within walking distance. Recommended.

The hotel was pretty nice, however the hotel staff were a disaster. The younger guy appears to more or less run the hotel at this point and his attitude was terrible. While we sat down to eat breakfast (a joke, just cereal and a few pieces of bread/pastries), a gentleman came in to check in a bit before 9am. He had scheduled to arrive with his crew to rest during the day and apparently had confirmed the reservation and atypical time beforehand. The young guy at the counter told him tough luck despite having confirmed and told him to come back at 1pm. The guy was understandably angry. After that altercation, the staff abruptly took all of the breakfast foods away before we were able to eat. We ended up finding food for everyone at the local farmers market instead. What a cheap move.

We were very happy in our scale in Cortez, Is a magical city and the stay very pleasant.

For a 2 star motel it is petty under rated. Decided to stay last minute and glad we choose this place. Really clean room and friendly staff.

We were welcomed late on a stormy night by our Hosts, and that moment when they greeted us, a new friendship was made. Some facilities are older and in fine condition. There's an addition of newer rooms, plenty of rooms! Our weeklong stay began with continental breakfasts, fresh coffee 24/7. And every day our hosts asked what did we need, where are we exploring for the day? Our newest friends felt like long lost cousins, and they are caring and concerned for all their guests, I observed. We will always stay here when in town. Laundry, Pool, Jetted Pool, Air Conditioning, Parking for camping trailer rigs. Downtown is around the corner, plenty of fast food close by. I Love this Inn, and suggest it to everyone I know traveling that way. Four stars.

Ok, I don't know what pictures they have posted but the place was not nice looking at all. Dirty rooms and floors. Beds do not even fit on the box springs so it feels like your falling off. The area is occupied by drunks and drug addicts. The owner (female) checked us in half naked cause we forced her to get out of the hot tub. Lovely! Worst yet we paid the pet deposit in advance and three days later we get a charge from them for 150.00 saying our tiny pug ruined their floor. Not a chance. When we called about the charge the owner (male) screamed at my husband and used several words including F$@&! I travel a lot with my dog who is well trained and have never had one problem with her. I would not stay or recommend staying here to anyone, ever. Way over priced and rude.

I stayed here one night a few weeks ago on a two week road trip. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. The Managers were very friendly and took care of us right! Would definitely stay there again.

Room was extremely clean. Price was perfect. It wasn't fancy but when I am on the road I really just want a clean room and don't mind dated furnishings. I'll be repeat customer.

It's now called an America's Best Value Inn, and if you're okay with basic amenities, it's a bargain. I stayed for two nights, and the manager was very nice, the room was clean and came with a microwave, fridge and free Wi-Fi. Compared to all the other places in Cortez, the price was a bargain. However, know that you get what you pay for: basic cable, hard beds, and dated decor.
