With the exception of one or two, the staff here just plain doesn't care their jobs. They don't apologize for mistakes or make an effort to make the guests more comfortable. I checked in at 1:30 AM, ready to go to bed. I get my room key and am directed to my room where I unlocked and then attempted to open a room that was already occupied. This poor guest who was sleeping was awoken by me just slamming the door into the lock. I got the woman from the front desk who then walked to the room and disturbed the person again and when the person expressed understandable anger, the staff member turned to me and said "that was rude. " No apology for me or for them. Two of the lights in the room wouldn't turn on until I switched them to new outlets. I asked the desk for shaving cream and was given expired packages of dried, old lotion substitute. I asked for a spare phone charger and they couldn't even help with that (i get that one is ehh but they could have taken collateral or something while I used the one they have. ) I asked the cleaners for extra shampoo in my room, they didn't leave any. However, they did leave the plate of obviously discarded breakfast platter with cereal and plates. I placed it outside of my room after they cleaned it at 12 pm. It is currently 7:30pm and it is still there, walked past by I don't know how many staff and cleaners. Two keys have locked me out of my room even though I carefully kept them away from my phone. Finally, I went down to ask for two more plastic cups for my room. The first guy had no idea what I was even talking about and finally a woman steps out from the back, obviously reluctant to help, and tells me I can use the styrofoam ones in the lobby but the other ones "weren't down here. " She didn't offer any other kind of assistance. I will be calling the reservation assistance line because this has not been a good stay. The staff here made me feel like I was an inconvenience and I don't feel welcome. I won't be staying again. Motel experience for the Hotel price. Not worth it. After making a report with the escalation team who assured me they’d send someone to fix my issues, I get back to my room later in the night to find the trash still there. Every time I left the room, the keys would deactivate. Still waiting on a call back from escalation. I don’t intend to pay for that stay.
