Don’t book here! Reserved through booking. Com showed up and was told our reservation was moved to the next day because they were full. Was told “this happens all the time” could not provide an explanation as the why they continue to work with booking if this “happens all the time”. Was told next time we need to call and make our reservation over the phone. We attempted to call multiple times and no one would answer hence why we booked online.

Only had the cleaning crew in the room 1 out of 4 night. The bathtub with blocked. No clean towels no change of Linens. Vomit in the hall. The pool was dirty couldn't use it. Only ate breakfast there at the hotel it took 45 minutes to get our food. We tried for dinner but couldn't get seated although half the tables were empty and most of the people who are waiting left to find food elsewhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Hotel is part of Wildwood Casino but not on same property; a little dated and in need of repair. Room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. No breakfast available (we don't typically do them anyway so it wasn't a problem). Wanted to open window for the cool mountain air and to freshen room, but there was a skunk outside in the area (definitely NOT hotels fault! ). They do provide a shuttle into town for casino so that's nice if you plan to gamble.

Decent facilities, the lady front desk was so sleepy and tired so I understand the treat given. However other lady in front desk at AM was friendlier.

Stayed this past weekend in a newly remodeled room. Beautiful, clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. Netflix and Showtime. Pool and hot tub have accommodations for ADA. Morning coffee was appreciated. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Staff is nice and the rooms are blah, but then again the casino (Wildwood) doesn't want you spending all the time in the room I suppose.

Staff is amazing, rooms were clean, they have a shuttle that is there within minutes to any casino and back to your room. This is our second time around and will continue to stay here when visiting the Creek.

Me and my wife had a wonderful time and it was a good place to stay they were remodeling but it was nice.

We stayed at the Inn on Saturday night our room was just remodeled new carpet, new beds and a big flat screen TV. The front office staff were friendly and helpful. Best of all the cookies were great. We will be back and plan to use the swimming pool next time.

Horrible, bed uncomfortable, elevator broke, they don't change sheets, no breakfast. Would never recommend.

I would ask for a newly remodeled room on the garden level. It has been "closed-off" with taped plastuc curtains for a year to hazardous conditions due to multiple meth labs being "discovered"… (The same reason the burning remains of the motel across the street greeting most who enter the town, looks the way it does… From what Ive gathered was not a lab explosion but was from a propane explosion from tweekers nonetheless) Anyways, Remodel was done Quite well! Even Smells like a totally different place than the rest of the un-remodeled building. I no longer feel gross walking around the room in my socks. Looks to be new everything; fixtures, tv, Awesome custom furniture from a local craftsman (whos name escapes me)! Staff is Awesome and helpful as usual especially overnight. If they did the rest of the hotel like they did the remodel, it would totally be worth the trip alone. I think the wildwood could afford it due to all of its saving this year due to keeping its employees bonuses, hiking its food costs and its notoriously tight machines. The new beds are quite nice.

I had a horrible experience at this hotel. The staff were extremely rude and there wasn’t free breakfast like it says online. In addition to that I got charged 50.00 simply by just having marijuana in my room… which I thought was my right? It says that you can be charged for smoking… which I wasn’t… so why am I charged?

Very clean rooms. Microwave frigerator and coffee maker all included for free. Comfortable beds. Nice staff. Coffee tea and hot chocolate always available for free. Complimentary cookies in the afternoon. Rooms need some updating but overall great experience and great price.

We stayed there for one night, less than a month ago and it was horrible! It was the only place left in town that had a room at the last minute and we will NEVER go back. We've stayed at most of the other hotels around town and they're all 1, 000 times better (and less expensive, on average! ) than this one. Took forever to check in as another reviewer said, DIRTY, rock hard springy bed, minimal supplies in the room, and no food whatsoever. Picture the worst rent-by-the-hour hotel you could get, double the price, enjoy the wall as your headboard, 1970's furniture, and that's about what you get. I was going to send a written complaint to management, but we don't want a complimentary night or anything else they might offer!

Well don't expect much from the staff, all 4 of them. They really aren't friendly at all. Tried to make idle conversation and they wouldn't respond. They did have under cooked Otis Spunkmeyer cookies upon check-in. Check-in time took way too long, 22mins, and we didn't have anyone in front of us. Rooms are nice. They are clean, but the 2 chairs in the room were supposed to be cream colored, yet they were filthy filthy. The room has plenty of moving around room. It has a microwave and micro fridge. Had to ask for a room with a view. Did get a perfect view of the town and of the leaves turning color in the mountain backdrop. Just a bit of info, it is owned by Wildwood casino. Honestly, the room was a rating of 4.5, but the staff made the overall rating a 3.

The room was NOT as adverstied, the staff thankfully was nice. No casino or bar attached too the inn. The casino was a good time until I was called a spic by the waitress for asking for another beer after 4 hours. The staff made it right but meh. Good staff at the casino too.

Don't believe anything on their web site. No full kitchen, just a microwave and fridge. No free breakfast. Dirty, dirty room with holes in the walls. The window with a "view" was filthy with paint over spray, I think, all over the glass and a dirty screen. Pool water was cloudy and yellow color. Hot tub looked like a bubble bath, foaming out of the top… so dirty. The staff was very apologetic and nice, you could tell they have heard all the complaints before. Pick another place. Just a disgusting, filthy hotel.

Staff was very friendly. Only reason giving 2 stars was the staff. Hotel not as advertised on the web. Had a king room with a view. Well the view was a dirt patch out back that you could view thru windows that were covered in paint. Each room is said to have a kitchen… In the corner of the room was a small fridge with a microwave on it. Kitchen. Been there a while as you could see the dirt on the floor they hadn't reached with a vacuum in who knows how long. There was a big hole in the wall next to the bed with paper shoved in it to fill it up. Advertised to have a spa and pool. I have never seen so much foam and yuck in a hot tub in my life. Wouldn't have gone in it with a hazmat suit on. Pool water was cloudy and yellow. Lastly… Website says free breakfast. Not really. You have to leave the hotel and go down to the casino and there is a restaurant with$1 items. Nothing is free for breakfast.

Room with 2 queen beds for 4 guests, a cot was supposed to be provided. There were no cots in stock because otel had disposed of cots because cots were old. Only three towels were provided, body wash dispenser in shower was broken, shampoo dispenser was empty. Room was a No Smoking room, but smelled like tobacco smoke.

Not a Weston or a Hilton but a clean quite simple hotel. Great value and yes the hotel staff makes you feel wanted. I highly recommend and will be back.

We stayed at GMKI over a family reunion and was most impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They would check in with us frequently to ask what we needed. We enjoyed the large pool. We didn't use the Fitness Ctr. But it needs a bit of a face lift. The food coupons each day made meals VERY affordable in the little town below and the shuttle service was great! Nancy, the manager, Cyndi, and many of the staff were just exceptional!

Hotel was not clean, they messed up our rooms after we had a contract, it was very outdated, pool is slimy, hotub green. Evening staff was not helpful or knowledgeable of system or customer care, evening staff pickedup and hung the phone up 9 times when we checking in to a friend's room because our room was not ready and when where not notified. My friends and family had so much trouble calling to book we can see why now Beds were very very uncomfortable and u could feel springs, pillows where flat and uncomfortable, shower curtains had mold on bottom. The carpet in our honeymoon suite was ripped curtains where broken. This was a very unpleasant experience would not recommend this hotel.

Staff took good care of us, but even for our discount because of the wedding. The beds were awful like sleeping on broken springs. In the bath room there was bloody stuff down the wall. And neat where there use to be a light was a big whole in the wall. Where the table is there was bugers rubbed into the wall. We had two handiecape people the tolite was to low and they didn't have any way to help. The beds were so low both of us took what felt hours to get low enough to get on the beds. Never will be back.

Booked a room with a king sized bed on Expedia. Drove 4 hours to stay for two nights. When we arrived we were told that they don't work with Expedia and there were no rooms available. The lady at the front desk (who had very bad dental problems) told us every hotel/motel was booked for some kind of donkey week. After speaking with her I called Expedia who stated the hotel had cancelled our reservation. The fact that the hotel had my phone number and I received no call to inform me that my reservation was cancelled really really made me angry. I suspect my reservation was cancelled and sold at a higher price to someone else who either called the hotel directly or showed up. Since the donkey show was in town people were willing to pay a premium I guess. Overall I would avoid the place like the plague.

Booked on expedia arrived after a few hour drive to be told they weren't working with expedia right now and was told they only had a single bed available and no discount would be given to make up for the mess up. The hotel itself was clean and nice for the price. I'm sure it wasn't the desk clerk but an upper management change that must have been recently made.

It was clean. It was inexpensive and they accept pets it was nice to travel with our pack. Amazing view. And you get a $7 food credit pre person @ the Wildwood Casino two blocks away.

The stay here was ok, we spent most of our time out and about in other locations, since there is not a casino in the hotel. Our room was clean, but not well kept with a barely patched over hole in the wall between the beds. The main selling point for us was the cost, it was the only room we found at last minute that was less then $200 (room was only $95). I was willing to sacrifice some quality to have more money to lose in Cripple Creek.

The Gold King Mountain Inn served it's purpose for me. I had a nice place to rest after a long day of play. Nothing fancy but very friendly staff. Clean and comfy room.

Here is the truth our room was clean. Good cable TV and the internet worked well. No it is not Ritz Carlton, but it is not at the bottom. Considering the price it is a nice place to stay. We will return and stay again.

Is this a one star rated hotel? It seemed to me that would even be a generous rating.

Pool was closed. One of the reasons we booked here. The man at the desk just couldn't understand stand we had reservations for two rooms. He was also the one who made them and he just couldn't follow our request. The next day the lady was not helpful or friendly. The rooms where clean and house keepers where very friendly. As I had mentioned the pool was down but not the hot tub. My kids, who are hitting teen years, came to hang out with me we kept to one side, meanwhile these two older ladies who said they have locals passes to the pools glared and made rude remarks about us taking the whole hot tub, even though you could have easily fit 5 more people in, very uncomfortable so we left. Took a shower and the whole bathroom was wet. The Curtin was cloth and didn't cover the whole length of tub, same in the double queen room my kids had, I had a king suite deluxe. Tvs need updated and you can hear every movement in the other rooms.

I liked the great location and large rooms and the fact they have a pool, hot tub and a large sitting room in the lobby. The down side was the cleanliness of the room, found hair filled Bobbie pins on floor and hair ties, maybe floors not vacuumed, coffee maker filled with old coffee with old filter in it. A tip envelope right next to the coffee pot. Also a fake Eyelash in the window, freaked out a family member. Shower soap dispenser didn't work correctly and toilet wasn't wiped down either. : (I did like the fact there was a fridge and microwave. I was a bit shocked of the house keeping of hotel considering how clean the casino is kept up.
