You definitely can step back in time with this beautiful older Victorian home. You will appreciate the wood work. The homey atmosphere. The staff are very welcoming and in good spirits. They were very accommodating and good company. The rooms are spacious and decorative. Very clean and well crept. We plan on staying again. I would highly recommend.

A wonderful place to stay! The innkeepers are friendly, and they do an awesome job of taking care of anything that you need to make your stay comfortable! They also make fantastic breakfast entrees! I highly recommend checking them out if you want to have a great place to stay while visiting Colorado Springs!

My first feeling as I walked into the yard of Holden House was un-kept. It doesn't look anything like the photo with the horse drawn carriage in front, btw, the carriage isn't there anymore. We entered the Holden House and what a greeting we got. The employee Sherrie or Shari, something like that. She says "You're early, we have a schedule around here, check in is between 4pm and 6pm". We had just arrived from The Woodlands Texas, a little north of Houston, it was about 2:30pm. We were tired, after driving so far from home, but I ask her, do you want us to leave and come back later? She says, "No just have a seat and wait right here". The downstairs, was charming. Our room however was Not, "Cripple Creek" it was outdated cheap looking, not outdated charming, and there was no soft place to sit or lay. The TV was touching the ceiling and very uncomfortable to watch. The love seat was the worse thing I ever sat on, very hard and lumpy. One of the employees said yes we've heard that before, when I told her we were leaving a day early, because our backs hurt so much. The shower was outdated cheap, not outdated charming, it almost scalded us as we had a heck of a time trying to adjust the water. I learned that I like bright white towels, and sheets, not faded dark blue, and colored sheets.

Had a fantastic stay here, would recommend to anyone, especially couples looking for a romantic getaway. The location close to both downtown and Old Colorado City is perfect. I know I'll be missing the breakfast here for a long time. Our room/suite was huge and we'll decorated. Between the breakfast, afternoon wine social, and all the other amenities, Holden House is a really good value too.

Very nice bed and breakfast that has a resident cat! Room was spacious. Options for breakfast times. Lots of spaces to hang out in.

Really nice B&B, or room was immaculate and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great, can't recommend it enough.

We had such a wonderful time. Jennifer took good care of us and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Thank you for everything.

Our stay at the holden house was above our expectations. The inn keepers were increadibly courteous and their to help you with anything that you needed. The endless cookie jar was definatly a plus. We will be staying here again. And thank you Wellington for the suggestion of eating at the mason jar it was amazing food!

Will come back. Lovely a walk around blockk stunning holiday lights. Fresh hot muffins yogurt fruit and a great omlet. Friendly staff.

The room was amazing and it is a beautiful property. We got the Sparkle Package for my wife's birthday so there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us and they brought the breakfast to our room in the morning. We definitely will be coming back!

The staff was excellent and friendly. We stayed in the Aspen Suite, which was beautiful. The wine social and coffee bar were excellent. The never ending cookies were out of this world. We also loved Mingtoy's company. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful vacation stay. The rooms have a lovely cozy historic feel. The innkeepers are extremely hospitable. There are six rooms, so the delicious breakfast in the beautiful dining room allowed us to chat with the innkeepers and the other travelers. You can choose breakfast in bed too. The house is so historic (built in 1902) and you can read about its rich history. And our personal favorite part, if you stay in the main house, they have a resident cat named Mingtoy! She came and hung out in our room with us. What a wonderful stay we had! We can't wait to go back.
