I am currently in the process of trying to move to Montrose, I go up in the weekends to look at rentals etc. I booked a stay for a Friday night. Thought they were dog friendly, I misunderstood when I signed quickly. (I should read the fine print). I got confronted rudely for having a dog when I left. He is certified ESA and no damage or mess was done to the room. I even called the front desk and apologized for the misunderstanding. All in one sentence they said service animals are allowed in ANY rooms… not ESA. I find that to be prejudice. Mental health needs are just as important as physical health needs. They charged me $250.00… I have sent emails and called to speak to the GM with zero response back. The moral and ethics of the staff I encountered and truly disappointing.
This hotel turns away customers that have already paid for their rooms if they do not live outside of a 75 mile radius! My sister (who is in a wheelchair and cannot just hop from hotel to hotel in search of a room) and her mother-in-law and my 6 year old niece had booked a room at this hotel. They were going to stay in Montrose overnight because they were a part of the craft fair. They do live about 40 miles from Montrose and didn't want to drive home that late. Upon arriving, they were informed they could not have the room they booked due to living too close to the hotel. Horrible business practice! You should be thoroughly embarrassed that you turned away a mother and her child when it's single digit weather outside among numerous other reasons! The fact that they had already paid for their room and had a reservation was of zero consequence to you. Shameful.

Never got to stay here. I'm a traveling nurse and needed to stay here for 8 days. I booked online and paid in advance. I called the day before my arrival to confirm only to be told. Y the staff "we are not an extended stay hotel" " you can only stay 5 days". I thought to myself… why allow people to book that many days online? Thankfully I found a place more accomodating to travel nurses.
