Better than it's reviews. Other than the lobby, ia as nice as the other properties in its price range in Snowmass. In fact, the rooms are quite comfortable and very clean. Parking throughout Snowmass Village can be a pain. Just move your car in the morning and try to walk to places on the mall or take the gondola down the mountain, once you secure a good spot.

The decor of the room was cute, and k can see how this would be a very good winter retreat. However since I was there during the summer there were a few things that were needed. For instance, my room did not have a screen on the window. With no airconditioning in the room, and with 80 degree weather outside it was very difficult to keep my room cool without opening the windows and letting the bugs in. Also the TV only had analog channels which were all mostly fuzzy. The one clear program we could get was a French channel.

We just needed a bed for the night and the beds were comfortable after 3 weeks in the National Forest. Staff was not very friendly and place was a bit run down but our room was only $70 for the night so I can't complain too much. Also good location.

The bar area and idea center are certainly over the top (including a secret bookcase entrance to the lavatory) their wings are quite amazing, and selection of draft beer is decent as well. One thing to note, there are no hot beverages to warm up with, but sitting around their fireplace will do the trick.

Needs a refresh. But it's clean, safe and convenient to the lift. Friendly staff.

Initially, I was put-off by what my wife and I experienced at check-in: First the front desk staff were indifferent (at best) about the mystery $85 fee that was added to our bill (we pre paid). There was nothing on the invoice saying what the $85 was for, it was just added. Turns out, after 3-4 Wildwood employees (and finally, a manager) indicated that's taxes — but there's nothing stating that — and it was somewhat frustrating that the employees played dumb (IMO). Fortunately, because of our insisting of a better explanation of the bill — — the resort fees were waived by the manager. The second issue at check in was the first room we were given — which was definitely used by pot smokers — and I'm guessing the housekeeping staff has gone noseblind. Take that for what this is, in Colorado — which is an extremely-420-friendly state. I've rented luxury cars in Colorado in the recent past that smelled like they were just hotboxed by Cheech and Chong. Fortunately, the front desk staff corrected this right away and gave us a different room that did not stink. For the money, this place is suitable — if really what you need is someplace that's 100 yards from the slopes at Snowmass, and you just need a place to sleep after long days of skiing and apres-ski partying. The mattress was surprisingly-good and there's a heated pool and hot tub. The room decor is best described as the Ikea furniture you had in your first post-college apartment, 15 years ago.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could. I booked my travel through the Federal travel software, Concur which forces Federal employees to abide by lodging rate limits set by GAO/IRS/OPM. The rate listed was $179 + taxes. When I arrived I was informed there would be a mandatory $25 fee assessed for amenities such as the pool and hot tub. My room smelled like mildew but I was able to get rid of the smell by leaving the window open while I was working. The room hasn't seen a maintenance person in years. There were holes in the walls, cracked tiles, the toilet seat was super loose, the shower barely drained, and several AC outlets were dangerously cracked/shattered. Worst of all, the mattress was hands down the worst mattress I have ever slept on — worse than an RV mattress. I got the $25 "resort fee" removed, after I showed the front desk staff all the pictures I took of how terrible the room was. They couldn't even print off my receipt for the stay or for my parking fees because their printer was broken. I drove through snow and ice for 6 hours to get here for work, and the one thing I desperately needed was a good night's sleep and I got nothing close to that.

Worst service ever! Couldn't find my reservation. Then said they would have my room ready in an hour. Then, 2 hours later, gave my room away to another person. Then charged my card for over $50 for 'resort fee' even though room was paid for in advance. Do not stay there.

The hotel is very well located and it's not bad. The rooms are ok but unfortunately it lacks maintenance. My experience was very bad on the first day because the heater in my room was not working and it took a while for the maintenance guys to show up and get it fixed. After that the temperature controls didn't work and we couldn't set the room temperature at a comfortable point so we had to open the windows because it got too hot. The toilet was clogged and the bath power outlets didn't work. They offer no breakfast, but there's a Starbucks very near.

Great and also the family Sport Bar a greeting BOSCORELLI. Miami and Nicaragua.

We stayed here for a week and had an awful experience. The staff was nice but the rooms were in disrepair. Both baseboard heaters in our two rooms had all the casings off and we had young kids. The bathroom had mold in several places and the door had large chunks of paint peeling off. Our toilet wasn't secured down and our water faucets in both rooms weren't secured and fell out when you tried to turn them on. One night our heater clanked so loud that we couldn't sleep so our children were up and then we had to request that they fix it. We registered our cars for the parking that we paid for, even though we weren't informed it was paid parking and then both vehicles still got parking tickets. Finally at the end we were told that we had an additional 200 dollars in fees. I overheard someone at the Weston tell other upset guests of the wildwood that they are trying but put most of their focus on the other hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great rooms, very close to snomass lift. Definitely recommend.

Location was amazing, right next to the slopes and right next to the little snowmass village, but they could definitely work in their spa/pool area. Other than that rooms were clean, and in good working condition, except from the toilet, which was broken.

BEWARE: $25 resort fee, and a $15 parking fee on top of the room rental rate. Only pro was that the room was clean. The walls need repair, the bathroom had broken tiles, and the worst part is that the HVAC system didn’t work. We came here in December with a room at 81 degrees. We turned the air on, and it got hotter. Had to open a window just to get it down to 71. Terrible experience. Will not come back or recommend.

HOW do you get anyone to answer here? I have been calling and no one ever answers the phone. Definitely not expecting anything specific.

Dirty, messy and lousy attention.

The worst hotel I've been at in all my days. 1st Room not cleaned when we arrived. 2nd Room no heat no a. C. No lights in bathroom or over sink. Fridge didn't work. Smelled like mold. Extension cord strung from light stapled to wall and ran to outlet. Door between rooms was held shut by a drywall screw in about a quarter of an inch. Smh The picture over bed said look out window. The window revealed the wall of elevator shaft. I think that was to be funny… I hope. Nope try 3 had same sign. Not to sure what is with peg board dresser and head boards. On the third try everything worked and didn't smell like mold. Only gripe was exposed wiring on heater controller 110v death trap if u sit at table. No worries though the chairs were too uncomfortable to want to sit there. It really is too bad the lobby looked so nice. And guy at desk was pretty helpful. Not worth 30 bucks if u ask me but who am I. Last great thing was the fire buckets in rooms so they didn't need to buy fire extinguishers. Classic. Wish I could post the pics.

This place is probably the worst hotel in the Aspen Snowmass area. We tried to check in at 5pm and they didn't have our room ready. When they did, we walked into it and it smelled like there was mold growing everywhere. The carpet was disgusting, the bathroom wasn't completely cleaned, and the room itself was tiny. To top it off, there was no AC, so they suggest you open your window and listen to the ambiance of people walking by and cars/trucks/the shuttle driving past all night. After the room got up to 80 degrees, I left to sleep in my car that was parked half a mile away because there's no parking on site.

Was nice and sweet! Had a very good experience. Was a good experience last year too! Don't know why everyone is bitchin about this place cause the last 2yrs have been good! Last yr I was here for a week… no problems. And this yr no problems… have my 2dogs this yr and have had a very relaxing time and my dogs are good too! Guess ya need to pick a different room and know the place because it is VERY large! Maybe rooms are out dated but still very clean and confortable.

We are here with a large group and there have been several issues. Checking into a room that was not cleaned from the previous guest to name one. The decor is dated, the rooms are decently sized and the locale to the slope is great. As a summer guest it's nothing to write home about.

Cheapest place in Snowmass Village. Cool retro, hip looking rooms. I got a king bed room for 119/night. Room was well I insulated. They supplied 3 kcups of coffee. Bathroom was decent. Nice 3 star hotel.

I came here in the summer, and not during ski season. The rooms and pool were nice, however a lack of air conditioning in the room made it a little uncomfortable at times. The staff was hit or miss with the front desk being good but room waiting staff subpar. I was not provided a do not disturb door hanger but luckily was able to communicate verbally with housekeeping since they knocked on the door as I was entering the shower. I was also received a knock on my door that when I answered was a hotel employee who only said "check out" and stood there waiting for me to leave, this was almost 3 hours prior to check out time. I told them I wasn't ready yet and they walked away, but that was a little annoying. Overall it's a Holiday Inn, nothing special, nothing that bad.

Pros- Very close to the ski slope, shopping and nearby dining. Cons- The staff is very unknowledgeable and unfriendly. No roll-a-way beds. Hot tub gets very dirty without cleaning. Rooms are very outdated and dirty feeling. Staff members will tell you one thing one day and turn around and deny the next. Over charged for my stay with proof and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Overall, you are paying for the location and thats it.

Location is very good, not truly ski in ski out but pretty much. Price cannot be beat, during peak season we got a great hotwire deal. It is a cheap hotel, but the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Hotel staff is mostly helpful. Lobby is great… Good bar prices with a decent amount on tap, two pool tables and big projector TV. Not a luxury hotel by any stretch, but great value for those looking to just hit the slopes and have a clean and comfortable room.

The hotel is very close to the lifts. It's less than a five minute walk. The staff is friendly and rooms are nice. I stayed in a suite with a king bed. There is a fireplace in the lobby. The water pressure was a little low. There is a free hot breakfast. There is a $40 parking fee for up to four days.

This hotel is cute and comfortable. Great location. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The bed was comfortable, hot breakfast and there was a nice hottub. There were a few little quirks but the price was right and overall it was a good experience. I would stay there again.

Good location, a good location for shopping and hopping on the lift, first thing in the morning. This hotel is overpriced, it reminds me of a motel not a hotel. Snowmass Village doesn't really have a nightlife, downtown Aspen is a little better.

The room was exactly what we needed and wanted. It was clean and wonderfully comfortable. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We also absolutely loved the decor! Location was excellent for skiing as well as exploring the town.

I stayed 2 nights in August, 2015. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and the location was great. Other than that, not much else was adequate. My room did not have air conditioning, only a standing fan on the table next to the window. The room was extremely hot and required the door to be open to help cool it down, which offered little privacy. Parking was not always available, requiring us to get a hand written note to park in a 15 minute check in space, and move our car later to an open parking space. The free breakfast was so bad, that we had to eat elsewhere. It was standard fare, eggs, muffins, pancakes, sausage, bacon, etc, but poorly made and cold. The coffee was awful. Luckily, because of the location, we could walk to restaurants and coffee shops and get great food. The experience and decor was like staying in a college dorm room.

We were concerned after reading the other reviews, but stayed anyway. Yes, there is no AC. Yes, it's an old ski lodge. However for the price, in one of the most expensive places to stay in CO, it's hard to beat. Each room has a fan. It gets cold at night, even in August. We opened the window and put the fan next to it. Worked fine and I'm a hot sleeper. The pool was nice, the rooms clean and the staff friendly. Decide for yourself.

This place is terrible, incomplete rooms, staff who doesn't give a shit about anything, crappy, dirty laundry rooms. This plain plane sucks, it's old and none of the staff care about you or the place. Groupon needs a rating gig, I got this place through groupon and totally regret it.

This is by far the worst holiday inn express I have stayed at. I'm not being snarky or over reacting when I say that I have paid $60 for rooms at motel 6 that were nicer. The front desk and cleaning staff were completely overwhelmed and not able to check people in to clean rooms at 7pm. And that's if they were lucky enough to find your reservation (as the 3 people in front of me had problems with). I would avoid this at all costs.

I disliked everthing about this hotel, first off don't be fooled by the pictures. Hotel is over 60 years old and it looks like it 80 or 90 years old. Heaters don't work, plumbing is questionable, with the broken electric covers I'm surprised the hotel hasn't gone up in a ball of fire. The engineer was helpful. Walls are paper thin, having to listen to music from another country is not my idea of comfort. Think twice about reserving a room here, as you will not be happy.

This is by far the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at. THIS IS NOT A HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS! Rather it is a run down motel 6 with a holiday inn express sign. The rooms are beat up. The sink doesn't drain. You can see holes in the tile. There is no air conditioning in the summer. (It's hard to sleep when it is 80+ degrees at night) and the front staff that checked me in were young and rude. I could hear them making fun of other guests. This hotel should never be associated with the holiday inn express brand. IHG hotels should be ashamed to have this hotel in their portfolio. Either tear this hotel down and build a real holiday inn express or change the name and quickly disassociate yourself. I would have no problems staying here during the winter if I was looking for a cheap run down place to stay while I skied. Unfortunately I was expecting a holiday in express for my business trip and got a pig with lipstick instead.

I had booked a room in April of this year for a trip in July. I paid 50% down on a room deposit and made preparation for the remainder of the trip at that time. 14 days prior to my trip a representative from snowmass called me and told me I had to pay the remaining 50% or I would lose my room. This is not what was said on the confirmation page. Consequently I was not prepared to pay so I lost my room and the $180 deposit. Many people from my office were to stay at the same place, oddly enough they were not forced to pay for their rooms until they arrived, as it was stated on the confirmation page. Recently I spoke with a manager, Katie, who pretty much told me to stick it. I left a message for Lance, the General Manager, and a week has passed with no phone call back! WHAT A RIPOFF.
