Don’t get me wrong, the hotel is beautiful and our room was lovely; however for $1800 a night there were a lot of misses. We had prepaid for our room and then were charged an additional $4700 when checking in for two nights. Luckily I caught the mistake and when I went to discuss with the front desk they said it was a “glitch in the system”. That’s a pretty big glitch. The elevators were down for quite some time so we had to take the stairs. Not a huge issue, though with a broken foot that was not ideal. The temp in our room took forever, six hours, to get to the temp we wanted. Additionally, our room overlooked the garden area which was a bit noisy at night. On our last night there was a party with loud music that lasted until around 10 PM. No biggy for a night owl, though we go to bed fairly early. I had initially received a message from one of the concierges, I think his name was Nick. He asked how he could help and I mentioned, via email, that we were interested in skeet shooting and needed help with dinner reservations. He never responded. Luckily I followed and had a gem named Liz who was able to secure dinner reservations. I would like to shout out to the guys that drove the shuttle, all of whom were great. The housekeeping service was good as well though we did have one weird situation where a housekeeper, mid day, open our door without knocking or announcing herself. A bit odd. Overall, next time we are in Aspen, we will look to stay elsewhere as the St Regis, for the price, missed the mark.
