We had such a great time at! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We love that there is a private beach that you can hang out at for the day and let the kids run and play.

This Place is a hidden Gem, really beautiful. The resort rooms are so beautifully designed. Super Awesome. A must go place. I will visit again n again.

We stayed in one of the chalets over the labor day weekend. Very nice little cabin. Great view of the lake, and lots of stuff to do. It was clean and we'll kept. Felt right at home but on the lake.

Great vibe here. Good restaurants, rooms were clean and tidy. Comfy beds. Good facilities and activities. Best burger ever at the Marine Grill.

Beautiful place to be at. First time during the summer/fall months. Normally stay in the winter for some snowboarding. So much better during this time of year. Just awesome weather and friendly people.

We stayed two nights celebrating a wedding. The staff was incredibly helpful and genuinely nice. The location is beautiful with lots of fun things to do and see. The chalet was a good choice for our family with plenty of room and a great deck on which to relax. Loved it! Could use a deep clean and carpet removal, but that definitely didn't dampen the great time that was had by all!

Our Family of 4 had a really nice stay here. The location was great, on the lake and a short drive from Yosemite We loved staying their roomy lakeside suites, which had an in room spa (perfect for muscles recovering from hikes in Yosemite) and an outdoor patio overlooking the marina (perfect for a morning cup of coffee) Colette in the reception area was super accommodating and offered up plenty of helpful info for our 4 day stay up here. The upstairs restaurant was good and just a few steps down the hall from our room. highly recommended for family vacations in the mountains.

This is a picturesque location on Bass Lake. The nature surrounding the cabins is beautiful. The cabins themselves are dated to give you a bit of a rustic feel to them. The beds are not very comfortable and the shower/tub was not well kept. The wood floors squeak every time you walk and their stairs are not very safe. Having said that, they do have a nice long pool that is kid friendly (not too deep). They also have a restaurant on the property ran by another company and they also have a boat rental & jet ski rental area ran by a separate company.

Amazing place! Great restaurant overlooking the lake. Great food. The place is accessible to everything you need. Market, Restaurants, trails, lake, amazing views. Great for relaxation and fishing.

It was nice, chalets we're pretty cool and set up in a unique way. Wi-Fi was bad. A few details could be cleaned up around the property. Planters with dead plants and trash, old boards on walks could be replaced. Otherwise the restaurants were nice, the staff was great, and the pool was kept up nicely. We would definitely come back as it is a great location.

Poorly maintained Chalet dirty, unfriendly staff, when we settled no water, in the rooms the bulbs were burned, to avoid.

Peaceful gorgeous Lodge style resort on the lake. We stayed in the chalet which was spacious with an up and downstairs and even a little loft above! Two big beds, large kitchen! They took good care of us and even hand delivered towels to the pool for us. The food at the bar and grill was a delicious up scale casual.

Absolutely lovely location. The chalets are surprisingly spacious, could probably sleep 6 in there with issue. Staff was very friendly. The restaurants on site are surprisingly good, if only they didn't close so early. Only knock: the Wi-Fi sucks!

We only came here because of the film “the great outdoors” so it was unknown to us, but we want to come back on our next tour of California and 2 nights at bass lake is a must! Great place, very friendly staff, loved the rustic cabins and the surrounding area is amazing.

Staff very friendly, clean chalet. The place is quiet and the pool and Jacuzzi allow to admire the sunset at the Lake.

The lake is beautiful! I was very happy with my stay here. There is a fine dining restaurant, casual bar & grill, bar, pizza/ice cream shop, a few little shops, a market, playground, outdoor pool & hot tub, and all types of rentals for water play. I went to Yosemite 2 different days from here, it's about 17 miles to the entrance, and then about another 15 to Yosemite Valley. We rented a boat one day and it was well worth the price. Overall a great experience. I stayed in the suites and was happy with it, sitting area, fireplace, wet bar, nice balcony. Only downside was the bed, It was as hard as the floor and uncomfortable.

The Pines Resort was absolutely an amazing place to stay if you find yourself at Bass Lake. They are right on the water, they have really reasonable rates (especially their ‘chalets’), and the staff is awesome! Collette helped me at the front desk check in and she beyond great! She strikes an amazing blend of professional and a personal friend type of vibe. She was very well versed with the facility amenities, and had many great recommendations. She also went above and beyond what I would have expected. I had a booking issue come up that had my check in days confused. Collette was thankfully the one helping me with this and she was able to get me into an equivalent room to the one I booked for the night. The other great thing about The Pines is that they have restaurants, bars, small grocery store, gas station, and post office all on site. All in all, I have yet to find a better valued resort in California than The Pines, and I will definitely be back for a visit here. Definitely recommend it. One thing that I should noted is that while the chalet’s are an amazing value, the walls to the connecting chalet are incredibly thin. It’s very easy to hear the people next door having a normal conversation, so be aware of that if you plan on doing any type of party or get together. Understanably, they don’t tolerate excessive noise well at The Pines Resort.

We stayed in a beautiful duplex chalet with a large balcony. Interior all wooden, equipped with a fridge and a kitchen plan.

Degree we see a report on California on TV and immediately think back to Pines Resort! If we are on holiday, we will be back soon-the huts between the trees and the lake are just beautiful. You are immediately relaxed!

I stayed in a chalet and it had living room and a downstairs with the two beds. I didn't like that the heaters took awhile. In the night it was 50 degrees for 40 min until it slowly rose to 65. It didn't have a fireplace. In the downstairs you could hear every step in the living room area. Overall, it was okay.

I have been here several times over the past several years and it is always a reasonably comfortable place to stay. Pros: lots of options for sleeping, warm. Cons: poorly stocked kitchen, cabins are fairly closely packed.

Really great, a 3 story house half for little money, what more could you want. With kitchen. Climate, 2 big beds, the area is great. I would like to come back here again.

A must see if you like lake's and mountains. Great customer service. Super nice staff.

I am not a review type of guy but our stay last weekend was great in big part Thanks to Collette in the front desk who not only gave us great customer service but also met all of our accommodations. It's employees like her that make the experience overall great along with the great lodging amenities that pines resort offers. Me and my family will definitely be back.

I Work in the area and frequent the market and sometimes eat at Duceys. Reasonably priced food and the marked has anything you need. Anything. All in all its a great place to visit.

We rented a cabin and since its off season the price was really good we stayed 4 nights for a total of $700. That includes a $75 fee for our dog. It was very nice and roomy. It had a full kitchen, then down stairs a bed with 2 queen beds and the bathroom, it also had a upstairs loft that was enough room for 4 kids to sleep in. Plus a Private balcony. It was very cozy. During the summer thise cabins run $579 a night. So I Recommend going during the off season. Definitely will do it again.

This is an incredible place to stay. Beautiful cabins, full size beds, fireplace, full kitchen and 2 TVs. For the price it's unbeatable. It made for a very romantic getaway for my girl and I. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

This is a tough review to write because so much was wrong with the luxury suite we had BUT the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I booked an accessible room but the tub was too high for me to climb into. If you have a wheelchair, you're out of luck. So I took sponge baths for 2 days. I used the sofa bed … the mattress was VERY THIN. I woke up in the middle of the night and my body hurt all over from the spring coils. I ended up sleeping on the floor the first night. The plumbing for the wet bar was exposed, carpet was ripped. The Pines would be better off re-naming their "luxury suites" to "room with a lake view". Despite all this… the staff was incredible friendly and did what they could to make things right. Bottom line… if you're looking for a basic room with a view of the lake, this might work for you. But if you're expecting "luxury"… you'll be disappointed.

Me and my friends lived here when we traveled to Yosemite. This place is awesome! You can live like you are camping! I wish I can go there one more time!

Spent one night at the resort in a chalet. We were passing through and wanted to spend the day in Yosemite. The resort is on a perfect location, and with the restaurants and market there you have all you need. The chalets themselves while maintained and relatively clean, are old. So make no mistake you are staying on a rustic cabin with a few newer amenities. So if you want a rustic family getaway at the lake this is the place, but if you want a hotel luxury experience this is not the place.

Duceys bar and grill upstairs for dinner. Friendly waitress, helpful with recommendation for dinner choices. The cheesecake was delicious. Nice quiet and serene setting with friendly employees. The front registration office were friendly and professional. Helpful with recommendation for dining choices, she even alerted us to a large group arriving later that evening as we had inquired about laundry area. Very helpful and appreciated.

I feel blessed that my family and I found a suite at this resort. The room was very comfortable for us. A tad outdated but we didn't care. The restaurants were great. The pool was great! the view of the lake was breathtaking. And only 20 mins outside of Yosemite! Loved our 2 days at THE PINES!

My cousin and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Pines about a week ago. It was a marvelous and memorable (though too short) stay. We were greeted by a room that was truly clean, an absolute pleasure to stay in. The room provided a breathtaking view of the entire lake. It was mesmerizing, even when it rained. The beds were very comfortable. Our room was amazingly quiet, enabling a restful and refreshing night's sleep. With no dinner reservations, we were nonetheless provided with a fine table and delicious dinner. Breakfasts were delightful. The hot tub was wonderfully relaxing after dinner. Every member of the staff was friendly and genuinely helpful. It's not often you get a memorable stay at an affordable price, but The Pines delivered just that. Can't wait to return.

Amazing high-end food on one floor, and slightly more affordable food on another floor. Lovely huge lodge-like building. For lunch or dinner, maybe breakfast too. Lovely lake where there are fireworks on the 4th of July. The lake was built by PG&E and is super lovely along the green nature and trees. Super natural all year round.

Went here with my family for the 4th of July. We got a cabin for 4 nights and had an absolute blast! We rented jet skis, a boat, hung out in the pool/spa. Lots of great places to hike and ride bikes. Overall, a great trip!

Nice resort with nice rooms. Our room is two stories with a living room and kitchen on top and bathroom and bedroom downstairs. The room is pretty good but doesn't have AC and our shower isn't great. It's pretty nice but there are areas to improve upon.

Nice cabin that looked authentic. Beautiful terrace with view on the lake. The Wi-Fi signal is really bad (100 kb connection?! ). Trying to sleep is not for people with back problems the bed was as hard as a wooden shelf.

I thought the Pines Bar was great, with good prices and a nice atmosphere. The bartender, Rianna (unsure on spelling) was friendly and provided quick service. I'll be going back!

I booked a room for a wedding a month in advance with the event coordinator. I explicitly told her I was a family member of the bride and would also be providing the wedding cake. I arrived to check in the day of the wedding only to be told my room was reserved for the day after the wedding and that they had no available rooms. When I protested I was told that they had sent me a confirmation email and it was my own fault for not having more carefully read my confirmation. They did not offer to refund my money until I demanded it, and not once did anyone offer to find me a new room or assist my in any way despite my telling them I was not from the area and had no where to go. This was one of the worst customer service experiences of my life.

Very cool location with lake view. Good equipped bungalows with balcony. We had our own BBQ at the balcony.

Pure amazing. Had magic weekend here and want to go back.

My grandmother and myself got a bad first impression as we were not even greeted or acknowledge for the first 5 minutes. Eventually my grandmother flagged down one of the busser/seaters and she took our order and said the server would be right with us. They might of been understaffed for that moment because after that it was wonderful! The server and the busser/seater came back to us multiple times with a sincere pep and friendliness. The food was great. I'd recommend the pulled pork sandwitch and garlic fries.

Great location to visit the lake or Yosemite. Stayed in a pet friendly cabin. The cabin was spacious and came with a full kitchen, loft, balcony, two televisions, one bathroom and a king sized bed. Very clean and family friendly!

Such a butifull setting. The staff are awsom and attentive. You will have to visit this place for yoir self to appreciate it.

Fun place to stay with the family. Two story cabins are duplex style with optional connected rooms. Prices are very reasonable. They are pretty out dated, but for a semi-camping trip feel, it's nice.

Terrible service. I brought my family here for an impromptu trip from the coast on a Monday night. So proud, so happy to show my little ones the beauty of this area. Deeply disappointed. Much more to say, but don't have the time to waste on these jokers. Off season service? Perhaps. Doesn't matter. Rude… Rude… Rude. From the front desk Alicia or Allison (can't remember) it was an inconvenience for her and the rest of the resort shops including Ducy's that we were even there.

Our expectations were really let down with the expense and very low quality of our lodge. There were several flights of stairs diffcult to navigate with luggage and dirty rooms. The Ducey's restaurant however was delicious. In need of up dates and a good cleaning in a beautiful setting of Bass Lake.

Place was great. I love how you can get both the nice weather on the resort, as well as traveling a little further in Yosemite to get the snow. -Free Wi-Fi! Can't beat that. -Food was amazing. 5-star restaurant. Recommend the prime rib! -Rooms were clean. Staff was prompt. You can stay in a hotel or cabin, we chose the cabin. Plenty of things to do. There's the lake, bars, restaurant, Yosemite National Park and much more. They even host weddings here!

Lots of ambiance. The service is uneven say the locals. The tourist prices (not shown online) are NOT worth the steaks etc that you can get at non-tourist restaurants — or most restaurants on the way to Yosemite for half the price. … of course if money is no object, one ought to stop at the Chukchansi casino, on the way, and get _better_ and more variety for much less or… more… if you want…

The experience was not worth the cost at all especially for an Easter vacation. The burner on our stove top was broken, we issued a fix it request and by the time we left 2 days later it still had not been fixed. The spa was hardly warm water not relaxing at all. The customer service we received was completely sub par besides the 1 maintenance man who got us new keys to our room because the ones we received when we checked in did not work. I was also trying to access the Wi-Fi to manage my bank accounts and was told that the Wi-Fi was for music only and I could not have access to it. I am a very easy going person, however when I am a paying customer I expect decent customer service which was not the case. When I confronted the front office as I was checking out. The Resort accepted no responsibility for any of my complaints. they did not try to compensate me in any way nor was their an apology for my discomfort. Although the location was ideal, I will never return to the Pine Resort.

BED BUG CITY! I Stayed at The Pines Resort in July 2014. I am a local of the area and know several employees and house keepers that work there. Chalet and and also suite ARE HEAVILY INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! SO bad that the house keepers refuse to go into them! They throw the bedding away after each check out! The owners of The Pines Resort are well aware of the infestations and refuse to get treatment for them! I am sure there are several other rooms infested but, the owners will not even allow professionals to come in and inspect the units. Do not stay at this resort! do not subject your families and homes to this poorly maintained place. I am promising to do what ever it takes to make the public known of this situation and force the owners Que and Sun to resolve this issue with professional treatment! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE.

I really love Bass lake, but the people at the Pines need to stop charging for "everything". It seems like all they care about is $$. I'll be staying at Millers from here on out.

After getting food poisoning for the second time at Ducey's I let management (Lara) know. Lara said that she would call me back several times and never did! She couldn't figure out if giving me a refund for my HORRIBLE experience there was the RIGHT thing to do and needed to talk to the owner for advice on how to manage the situation. Again Lara said she would call me back after talking with the owner. I STILL have not received a return call from her even after leaving numerous messages for her. Poor management!

We love Bass Lake and the Pines Lodge is just the perfect getaway for a couple or a family! The suite "Rudy's Retreat" is the best room of all. Great view of the lake and the emenities are extraordinary. Can't wait to take time out of our busy schedules to get back to The Pines.

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding held at the Pines Resort and what a beautiful place for a wedding! The ceremony was held outdoors and the grounds were well kept and made for a perfect location. The reception was held indoors and the room was beautful and all the food (from onsite catering) was delicious. I would recommend this resort as a guest (our room was amazing also) or a beautiful place for a wedding.
