Very decent budget hotel. They have spent money on their property. I applaud you. Please replace the carpet on the stairs. Just a bit noisy. Coffee not available in until after 7:30. Bummer.

I was looking for a pleasant place to stay that was central to the town. I was also looking for something that was affordable. This hotel was exactly what I was looking for. This is not a five star for a two star price. The location is central and everything about the room was very good. I would definitely stay there again.

Owners are sweet people, room was clean and up to date. Quiet. Would stay here again.

My family stayed from Oklahoma and gave a cash deposit of $100.00. They only gave her a receipt of the credit card transaction and told her she gave no deposit! That she must be confused, I was right there when she handed it to him, I'm furious and disgusted! I told them to stay there because it was close to my house. NEVER will I refer anyone to this place again! AND I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW! YOUR A THIEF!

Enjoy staying here every time, I really like the quality of their pillows. The house keeping ladies are always very accommodating and so kind. The noise is very minimal. The rooms are always clean and wood floors are my favorite. Journey Inn is close to fast food, some restaurants gas stations, laundry mat, Walmart and liquor stores, or bars. For such a low price I feel I get a lot more! Thank you Mike&Wife too, Maria who does housekeeping and the other house keeping lady as well have been very helpful their service is always given instantly and with a smile every time!

The rooms are very nice, very clean. Price was tolerable, too. But a jenky HP running Windows XP right next to the coffee machine (it was a Keurig, at least) does not a business center make. Especially when the owner can in full view see the screen and therefore anything I search for or access. The fact that the ONE computer moonlighting as a “business center” is running XP alone should dissuade anyone from using it. But it doesn’t.

Complimentary coffee, rooms were very clean and spacious for a very affordable price. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Rooms are very clean the environment is very peaceful and Mike at the front desk is a great guy. I enjoyed their new picnic/BBQ area. Will recommend to a friend and stay again since the price is right.

Beds are comfy, rooms were clean, internet was free but I coulnd not hook up my ps4 their TV setup is outdated.

Very nice rooms with alot of space and its right next to a thrift store and several fast food joints. Prices are amazing! Customer A++ And management very fair an. Owner has a beautiful family and wonderful establishment.

Nice quiet clean no nonsense motel. We were exhausted from traveling for many days and found this to be a perfect place to crash. We would stay here again.

2.5-3 stars for this one. Thought the rooms are upgraded and nice: CONS: Noisy. Lotta vibration in construction of building. Noise carries and much vibration when people go by. Crabby management. Same people 24/7 who live on site. Few amenities Water gets hot but def plumbing issues. Poor water pressure and toilet clogged. Slightly "questionable" area of town Fairly small parking lot. PROS: Microwave n fridge in rooms (no coffee maker. This is in lobby Lotta shopping and quaint area. Easy to get around on foot. Lotta eateries. Water gets nice n hot quickly BUT I used a cup over drain to take a bath. Maybe it was just my drain but. Poor value for the 70$ I paid to get a better room. Ok in a pinch I guess.

Pros: clean room, nice bed, decent bathroom. Cons: Unfriendly (cleaning staff did not clean our room even after seeing us leave) and rude staff (specifically the office), pool isn't maintained, small rooms, paper thin walls (you can hear the neighbors' unspeakable acts and people walking on the balcony pretty easily), environment was not welcoming. Overall you may be saving a couple bucks compared to other hotels, but I would not recommend this place.

I read the reviews and they said customer service was rude but rooms were clean. So I decided to give it a try. For my experience, customer service was not rude but not friendly. It's an old building. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. There was an old discolored microwave in the room, I think without the microwave the room will give you a better feeling. Coffee and pastries were offered at the reception. Parking lot is clean. Good location.

We had 2 rooms. The upstairs room was great. The downstairs room not so much. I thought it was fine for the price.

This place is great. Beautiful and clean room. Nice and professional staff. Exterior of the property is clean, welcoming and inviting. Feels like home.

Highly Recommended! Me and my girlfriend arrived at 2330 and the owners and staff stayed awake intill we arived! That is simply amazing! Of course we called a head of time. The rooms are neatly kept and a great quality for the price one would pay to stay a night. Prices here are only about $15 to $20 more then local Motel 6 but totaly worth it. I was highly pleased with this hotell, this would blow others out of the water on the East Coast that ask the same price. Parking is also free.

No issues with staff, room was clean, high quality for the price. If I return I will always revisit. Would definitely recommend.

Rooms are clean and the staff was helpful even know I woke them up at 3am to get a room.

Guests who may be arriving at night ARE NOT WELCOME at this hotel! I really tried to give this hotel a chance. I gave them business and would have continued to give them a lot more. I live in San Francisco and visit family in Woodland every couple weeks. I usually stay a few days. I'm also the only one in my family with a lot of money, so I typically pay for a couple rooms when we are having family gatherings. This happens a lot. This hotel is the closest to my family, so it was becoming our regular spot. I booked it about 5 different times for myself and family. I was planning on booking many more nights. The location works for me. However the customer service has been quite strange. The last time I tried to book THEY WOULD NOT CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD for the stay in advance. The old man who runs the hotel told me: "You better get here by 10pm or you can't stay! ". He was acting like a parent that was giving me a curfew! My cousin was having a baby, so we didn't know what time we would arrive. It could be in the middle of the night. I'm a successful world traveler. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and never dealt with this. I imagine It would always be such a scary feeling not being able to book the room advance. What if if your flight was delayed and you arrive to no room! I get the sense that they do this to people constantly, because they don't want to help customers at night. Can you believe that this is supposed to be a hotel? It's honestly just horrifying!

Staff rude; housekeeping dishonest. I left my Kindle in the room at checkout. It was out of sight, under a pillow, along with a tiny night flashlight. Next day, I called about it and this was their answer, "No Kindle! I found little flashlight but no Kindle. "
Really? Do you think I would have picked up the Kindle and not the light that was next to it?
If you stay here be SURE to collect all your belongings. They will NOT be returned.

We were in Sacramento during a busy weekend and tried to find a place to stay. Unfortunately every place we asked told us they were booked. The only vacant place was the Journey Inn. One of the worst hotel experiences I've had. First, the room had several dark carpet stains. Second, the smelled like cigarettes. Still not great but it was our only option. The final straw was when I turned on the bathroom light and noticed there were 20+ bugs (yikes)! It was a waste of time and never staying here again!

There are so many wonderful things about staying at Journey Inn of Woodland, CA that I don't know where to start. First, anything negative that is written about your hosts should be attributed to the source. The owner and his wife are lovely people. Very kind and very amenable to addressing concerns and requests. The room was very clean and well appointed. The bed and pillows were perfect and we enjoyed several excellent nights of sleep. There was a microwave and refrigerator; and there is complimentary coffee in the lobby in the mornings, so you don't need a pot in your room. The hotel was very busy, considering we stayed for several mid-week nights it seemed as though every room was full each night. And… it was amazingly quiet. There is a railroad running through Woodland and we never heard a train, never heard the guests next door, no noise, just a peaceful rest each night. A plus for a hotel room is that it had windows that opened, including one in the bathroom. The price was right too! A king mini-suite for a third of the cost of the local casino/hotel.

It was a nice comfy room. The bed was really comfortable and nice management was nice even when I accidentally locked myself out of my room. Lol. But yeah it was nice.

For the price a very nice room. A little shady outside, pool is empty and the office is quite unwelcoming. Rooms have fridge, microwave, and decent TV. Pretty clean and pretty comfy for the price. Had to moved rooms twice first broken AC units however.

Very unhelpful staff. I booked on the hotel's website, then had to cancel. The person I spoke to on the phone told me that he couldn't cancel it if I had booked online and that I had to go back to the website. I called him back after searching their website and he again told me that there was nothing he could do. I asked for his supervisor and told him that I have booked through the hotel website. It was only then that he became even the least bit helpful. He was dismissive and rude to me.

I read the reviews and decided on calling before I booked. A man picked up the phone. He was rude acted bothered and then slipped in a different price than the internet. He also stated he wanted a 50 dollar deposit from me. Very slimy. Stay somewhere else. Especially due to the apparent misinformation and bait and switch. When I confronted him about the 50 dollar deposit not being on the internet. He scoffed and said… its not on the internet. Like no big deal.

Typical hotel, the outside seems to have a fresh coat of paint. I haven't stayed here.

Great location. Much of DT is walking distance. Rooms were exceptional for the price.

Graffiti on furniture, Cigarette smoke room, Everything was sticky, Bedding dirty, Bad location, Room three doors down doing cocaine we could see, We stayed for 45 min when someone started banging on window then both rooms around us were banging on walls,

I stayed at this motel several times in the past three years and it is going downhill. On most recent stay in room with spa, the place was very dirty. There was dirt in the spa and a layer of crud in the shower. I reported it to the front desk clerk, who rudely declared "well, I'm not going to clean the tub. So I cleaned it and we took a bath. About a half an hour later the bathroom was flooded as there must have been a leak in the plumbing somewhere so we changed rooms. The light in the lamp was hanging by wires, the room was musty and dark. The clerk was so rude that have decided never to stay there again. For the money there must be someplace cleaner with a friendlier staff.

WOW I didn't see this coming! stayed here a month ago was nice for the price and convenient. Stayed here over July 4th weekend (2013) room looked good except for 4 things: radio didn't work, 1 light didn't work! was chasing crickets out of the room! (really! ) One staff in particular was questioning my wife if she was a guest or not stated he has never seem her before HELLO its a hotel! By the way im a 25 year power lifter iv seen steroid abuse in a lot of body builders and this guy in question is one of them. Guest beware of the anal steroid guy (he works in the laundry room) hope this helps!

Stayed over on my way North on I-5. Picked this while headed North. Not a good choice as it turned out. The room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled strongly of smoke when I walked in. The sink had a faucet that was not working properly and the drain in the sink had no plug. Paid way too much compared to what you would get somewhere else for about the same price. I do not understand some of the other reviews — must be from the property to skew the rating.
