The room had no water bottles and nothing in the fridge. I have arrived at night and all the rests were closed. but it was quiet place and I recommend it for 1 or 2 nights only.

It's not a bad hotel. The bed and furniture look modern enough and there's a microwave and fridge in the room. However, mine didn't have a safe as some hotel rooms do, and the fridge was leaking water when I went in? Made the furniture under the fridge pretty wet. Internet was fine and pretty close to a few places to eat. If you have a car, you'll find a lot of parking there though.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and very new… The staff was very gracious and accommodating. At night it was quiet, the housekeeping ate friendly. The parking is convenient and the location is super! The lobby is gorgeous and fresh!

The location and the exterior condition leave a bit to be desired. But the hotel is much more affordable than nicer places around. Just be aware that you're getting what you pay for. The pleasant surprise for me was extremely fast Wi-Fi! Frequently hotels (even much more expensive) will have barely usable networks. Stone Villa's Wi-Fi, at least in my room, had a strong signal and extremely fast transfer speeds. Very nice!

Great Wi-Fi. Good bed. Fridge and microwave. Bathrooms clean. Parking can be a pain sometimes.

It's an excellent experience. Room is so clean n service was awesome. Friendly management. It's an excellent option.

Not overly posh, but don't let the plain-looking exterior fool you. The rooms are pretty nice. One might even say they have a "trendy" feel.

This is not a hipster/chic remodel of the old property. They did do a remodel during 2017 from what I can tell, but some of that "shine" has already worn off. Wallpaper is bubbling away from the wall. There are pipes coming out of the wall in my closet area. There really isn't enough room for two beds, but they crammed them in. The bathroom is tiny. The walls are thin. But this is still one of the cheapest rates you can find in the area. The staff has been accommodating so far. There are some interesting dining options within walking distance. Just don't buy the hip vibe from the posted pictures.

Newly remodeled. It was clean and very quiet. Located on El Camino Real in San Mateo walking distance to downtown. The price is very reasonable for the Bay Area.

Really nice on the inside — — looks newly renovated or something. Big tv, fancy blinds, nice looking bathroom. Everything is clean.

Stayed overnight here to escape a heat wave. Room is uncarpeted. Floor is dirty with sticky spots on the floor. Towel rack in bathroom is broken and mostly on the floor. In the morning they were washing outside the rooms and dirty water seeps I to the room. The AC did work so at least we were cool. Not baby friendly.

Jessi at the front desk was amazingly helpful with all my questions, the rooms were comfortable and clean and the location was convenient for a lot of different places. Would definitely stay again!

Overall this hotel is decent. A few gripes however. Not enough coffee in the rooms (yes I asked for more and they obliged but I needed to recycle the note every day), it appears the smoke detector in my room was removed, it takes several minutes for the shower to get hot in the morning, the ac/heater combo is really loud even on the low setting, and the floor in my room was pretty dusty. Other than the floor the room was clean, modern, and comfortable (when the ac/heater unit was off).

Totally unexpected. Rooms are great and not what you would expect from looking at the outside of the hotel. This is an old motel that's been very well renovated.

My crew is staying at this hotel for the first time. I called the hotel to book the rooms and the manager, Jessie went above and beyond to be of service. Our crew really enjoyed the hotel and made sure to let me know how nice it was. I had several changes during the week that they stayed and Jessie took care of the changes so all went smoothly. The customer service I received was extra-ordinary!. Thank you Jesse and Thank you Stone Villa Inn.

Mine and my families experience here was not a pleasant one. The only upside to this stay was the shower had nice tiles and our closet was large. Immediately upon entering our room we got a dingy unclean feeling about the place. After doing our typical room investigation once around we noticed a few things that didn't set well with us. Thick dust covered cobwebs clinging to the ceilings and walls, facial hair trimmings not cleaned up from around the bathroom facet, dried up residue from soap or something else on the bathroom sink counter, thick layers of towel fiber dust on the towel rack ends, dingy white colored bed sheets, visible shower scale on the shower walls, the leather lazy looking chair had a sparse layer of dust on it, and poor lighting throughout the room. If small little things like these go left uncleaned it makes me worry about what else is shortchanged and what the management priorities are. Needless to say the first night there we pretty much did a sanitation ritual. The room we had was super crammed with too much furniture for its size. Out of the 4 front counter personnel I dealt with they all seemed like they had no training in customer service minus one gentlemen who seemed like he had experience in customer service and talked to me about their future renovations that are posted on their main office walls. We were stuck with staying there 2 nights cause of their 48 hour cancellation policy.

I had a great experience at this place. Luxury room, reasonable price and very nice breakfast. Good Customer service.

No receipts! Hotel did not provide a receipt on check-in, stating it was a prepaid reservation. When I explained I meant the credit card they just took from me for the incidentals, I'd get that on checkout. Then on checkout they refused to give me a receipt for the incidentals credit card. He kept insisting I was wrong (I work in the hospitality industry) and would not accept that I was asking for proof I stayed here and they've made no additional charges (deliberately or accidental) to my card. He kept referring to Expedia, not understanding that the incidentals are independent of that. He said it's illegal to provide a receipt and he refused my request to call the manager, so I left with no proof I was there or that my final bill was settled. He kept insisting he knew better and that this is how they do business for years. I now have to place a fraud alert on my card to protect it. Add to that, the plae was noisey, falling apart and dark.

Nothing hospitable about this s-hole. I stayed here with my boyfriend and had the worst experience I've ever had any motel I've stayed at hands down. The rooms are ok but if you c could avoid management at this place it may get a two and a half star review. Did I mention there's no avoiding the nosey staff who wanted me to present my boyfriends ID when I came back to the room and that I had been staying in with said boyfriend. Then I was asked to leave you that and threatened all while being followed around with a camera snapping photos for I don't even know what intimidation though I'm guessing. Don't know what their mission statement is as but from what I experienced it was just nosey Muslims trying to make every penny to be found.

Phone has no dial tone. No room service at all. We didn't get clean towels and beds weren't made. Complained to da service desk who didn't do anything about it! Will never stay here again.

Was looking for a cheep place to stay a couple of nights for a convention. Room had a mini fridge, microwave, irioning board and a flatscreen tv. Loved that the TV had a HDMI port to hook up my laptop and watch netflix. Friendly staff and a good location.

Cleaners stole some gum. Cleaners do nothing more than straighten my sheets. The dresser has been sticky and is covered by my receipt for 2 days. The walkway to my room has been sticky for days. The fridge is loud. The shower head is dirty with calcium. The lobby stinks. Only here because of my first choice was booked for an impromptu business trip.

Anyone who is concerned about black mould should stay far away from this place. Booked a room for 3 nights. Left after one night! Room 122 (at the far end of the building) has a large patch of black mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. Complained to the owner, after I returned from my seminar in the afternoon, to see if he could move me to another room. Said he was full. Told him I wanted a full refund, but had to pay for 2 nights even though I only slept there for one night. And… Just like other reviewers… Things like lights not working, walls bulging from old leaks, bed frame not matching bed. For $125/night it just didn't seem worth staying there any longer and put my health at risk due to the black mould growing on the ceiling. I hope health authorities get wind of this and force the owner to fix the place up. Stay away!

Got there and they sent us to the room but when we got to the room it looked trashed. So they told us we had to wait for the room to be ready. So we waited in the hot sun in the afternoon for them to clean the room. Service was bad too. I had to ask 3 times for anything I wanted.

Loved this place everyone was so polite. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Breakfast room was phenomenal. Loved it.

Not recommended. A lot of late nite activity and not so unusual noise from the room above if you catch my drift. Room not cleaned properly nor ready when we checked in after 2 pm. Dirty towels and we think potatoe chip crumbs in the bed. No bathtub only shower. Bed has been raised on legs so not normal height. $151 + is too much. Will Not, repeat Will Not consider This place ever again.

No service dogs allowed! And they hung up when asked about it. Don't even go here! It's not worth it.

For a last minute, economy booking, it did the trick. Comfortable and quiet, but quirky. No light at the desk in my room makes it a little hard to get work done. Few outlets. Shampoo and soap laughable little packets, I couldn't even open the shampoo. Cleanliness isn't their strong point. I had to scrub down the two bedside tables to get spilled liquids off them when I arrived. The sheets and towels were very clean. The breakfast was the best. Flattened croissants that honestly looked like they had been run over. I and two other people turned around with nothing after scanning the room for other offerings. At least I was alone and found it funny; my kids would not have been amused.

Checked in for four nights, left after two with a refund. Here is why: — Dirty towels with spots — Bedding had stains — Condom wrapper found in trash on second day! — They steam cleaned carpets on the second day, when we got back, our room was in disarray and the carpet was wet! — Furniture had damage (liquid stains on wood, lamp shades torn) — Bed frame bigger than mattress, so you can easily hit your leg and foot on frame — Front door to room not sealed, light and bugs can come in.

Okay. I will never stay here again. They do NOT have 24 hour desk service. They have a sign posted for after hours and the number to call. Their continental breakfast was bread, toast, coffee, and juice. That's it. Our room smelled of chemicals. We had to open the window to air it out. One of our hand towels was dirty. I grabbed the towel off the rack and the rack fell off the wall. The towels were like sand paper. The desk in our room was wobbly. We thought it was going to collapse a few times so we stayed away from it. The biggest issue was. We had booked 2 nights and they only had us down for one. After the first night, the front desk person told me that I had to check out of my current room because it was reserved for someone else. Then he said I had to leave for 3 hours then come back for the next check in time for a different room. Are you kidding me?! We cancelled the 2nd night. Forget it! Oh and there are trains that go by about every 15 minutes. Never again will we stay at this MOTEL.

Good staff I just think it needs improvements in the rooms but my stay was good. And there are a lot of restaurants in the area very centrally located.

Not worth what you pay. 140 a night and the place isn't that nice. Sheets had stains, door doesn't seal (can see light all around it), peeling wallpaper, bed frame bigger the bed in the queen size rooms, furniture is in bad condition, Wi-Fi is very spoty, the remodeled bathrooms are very nice and the old ones are horrible. (Coworker had old set up bathroom. ) Nice people run the place but they need to fix the rooms up more then what they have.

Guy at front was friendly and the room was good. Enjoyed my stay. Good value, too.

WARNING! DO NOT STAY HERE! WARNING! When we checked in and went into out room on the dresser was a hyper dermic needle with a drug substance inside in our room we immediately went to the front counter and gave the lady working a needle and told her where we found it she had straight face on said sorry threw it away and said no problem now. We then went back to the room to have coffee no coffee maker. Room was very messy tissues, water bottles under bed, Wi-Fi BARLEY worked it was slower then dial up couldn't do any work at all on my computer. At night kids were running up and down peeking in our window and screaming. Horrible and rude manger, and maids. NEVER STAY HERE for $120 a night I rather stay in a motel 6.

My family and I just stayed there this past week. I would not stay there again, not in a very good area and it looks like a home for transients. The rooms did not provide very much lighting at all, the comforter was torn and stained. On our last day there we left our room early and came back mid afternoon, room was not cleaned at all. We then went back out and came back late evening, room was still not cleaned but our towels we used that morning were gone and only 1 set of towels left, so someone was clearly in the room. In the bathroom there was masking tape holding the wallpaper together. I would not recommend anyone to stay here nor will I stay here again. This place is a dive.

Beautiful rooms with everything you need, good location if they know San Francisco, includes basic breakfast and safe area, apparently.
