Went to visit my dad and brother who were staying there. They enjoyed themselves there allot.

I when I finally got to this page that said El Camino in I had to stop and take a deep breath I'm not trying to be judgmental but I would not go to this Motel again. They will quote a price over the phone and. By the time u check out. There will be more.

Mexican style old school motel. Looks a bit dirty but is well kept.

Pretty good place with conftroable beds but the Wi-Fi sucks.

For the price I don't have that much to complain. However, that was the first time I stayed at a hotel that does not have A/C. I understand it's Daly City and it's almost never hot but… Oh, the heater clicks all night long.

Simple place, but got everything you need. Like the gas powered heaters as they are much quieter than the electric ones. Also give a less dry heat, so I had a much better sleep :). The manager is exceptionally nice, and made sure everything was toy comfort.

Hello! This is my second time at this hotel, the first time I was here, we made a reservation for 6 days, and at the time of making the payment I asked if I could pay only 2 days and then pay for another 4. You accepted but made a face demonstrating dissatisfaction with my proposal. Do you remember? This was extremely unprofessional! Yesterday I came with my friend to stay another day and you told me that the other time we left the room dirty because we did not accept the housekeeping service and that this time we should keep the room clean. Again this was extremely unprofessional! Let me be clear: I am a customer and I am not required to accept the housekeeping service if I dont want to. If I want to stay 10 days in the room without housekeeping service, this is my right as a client! I did not break anything in the room and did not steal anything! dirty carpets and messy bed and bathroom are normal hotel things after a period of stay! If that annoys you, you should look for another type of work! This is a good Hotel, but should improve customer service. I'll post it on the internet for people to know. You should treat customers better!

After looking at the reviews I had to post one. I don't know where these people have stayed but the El Camino is ghetto! They haven't remodeled since 1980. The rooms look drabby and old. If someone thinks a few day old pastries and luke warm coffee is good for breakfast you have low standards. 3.5 stars? Locals frequently come here to get high, just ask Daly City police. I live across the street and the people who go there are mostly local dope feinds. Not the kind of people you would want to expose your family to. The only thing missing are roaches. Maybe they're just to high to come out. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else.

Lovely CA Inn, Great Value! Clean and well maintained, with Free Wi-Fi, Parking and continental breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly.

A good clean convenient place. Manager was very helpful in accommodating us. Would recommend people to stay here.

I have stayed in much better places for much less money, but those were not in or around San Francisco. Probably good value, but I haven't stayed in other places in San Francisco (yet). Clean rooms, location is OK. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is minimal: coffee, toast, oatmeal.

Clean and decent place to stay and visit sfo. We stayed there for 3 nights and we had good experience.

Decent quality for cheap hotel. No hair dryer. Crappy Wi-Fi.

Its neat and clean. However rooms are small. Breakfast could have been better.

I needed a room for a one night stay that was near San Francisco State University. This spot was perfect as far as distance and ease of getting to the school. Our room had a full bed and a twin bed, mini fridge, flat screen TV. It was clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay. There was no AC and the room was very warm so we had to leave a window open until right before we went to sleep. There are several restaurants and shops within walking distance. It is also very close to the 280 for easy access in to downtown San Francisco.

Small room. Small bathroom. Has refrigerator and microwave do that's a plus. Outlets seem iffy.

Not sure why so many people are complaining. The lady at the desk seemed like she didn't want to be there though lol. Rooms were nice and clean, beds a little small but decent stay.

The "El Camino inn", Daly city, is a rude and disgusting place to spend your money. The rooms are left dirty and reek of dog urine. The blonde overweight attendant was extremely rude, unhelpful, and turned away guests in search for a place to pay and stay. She cared more about her loud barking dog than her job or the guest. I DID NOT STAY IN MY ROOM, AND STILL HAD TO PAY! because she refused to talk to the booking agency. I guarantee you will regret staying here and having to speaking to the blonde elderly attendent. *This message is to the owner, please reconsider the blonde elderly attendent being at the front desk.

Didn't even get my room before the problems started. The front desk attendant was no where to be found I was instead greeted by a cute but very loud dog. A blonde lady eventually came out mugged me then said, "yes? " … No " hi welcome" or anything. She asked my name and read me my reservation details which were wrong and not what my confirmation email said. When I asked she got rude and was really negative then said " fine I'll change it". The made a side comment under her breath. She then swiped my card without telling me the total or informing me that it was different from the total they sent me. The dog kept barking and she let it. I put a specific amount on my card (since I seldom use it), that would cover the total I was given earlier and she got smug when it declined. I told her how much was on there she got an attitude and said ugh well that's not enough. And that the total was $100 see the sign. Which I hadn't because she was blocking it… Then the Asian lady she switched with said it was the room rate plus $100 not total… she was nicer though. She.

For the price they provide very nice accommodations and the staff extreamly polite and nice.

I'm horrified I paid $102 to stay at this place, I feel ripped off. When I checked in I waited a long time at the front desk before someone finally came up to help me (they were outside walking their dog…? ) Lady at front desk wasn't welcoming or warm AT ALL. We checked into our room-it was outdated, dingy and the decor was awful. Our room was so cold (mid September) that I slept fully clothed in the scratchy sheets. When I called down to the lady at the front desk she rudely told they don't turn on gas til October and there was nothing she could do to help me. She could have offered to bring us additional blankets, or issued a partial refund. There was a long thick black hair on one of my pillows. Beds were uncomfortable and had stains on them. And to top it off, I was woken up at 7am in this supposedly pet free hotel by a small dog yipping on and off for hours on end. So grateful I only had to spend one night in this place : (

Great Hotel the rooms are clean and good looking. The attendants are nice. The only problem is with the breakfast included. They only had toast with jelly, some sweet bread and coffee, I was very disappointed since I was expecting some pancakes, waffles or fruit. We brought food with us in the car for the drive and was excellent to put in the mini refrigerator in our room. But overall the price is great and close to a lot of places. I will keep staying here in the future.

Simple. Clean. Great location for BART and restaurants very close. I saved 50% by staying here apposed to downtown. I made a good decision! Also discovered Uber on this trip, nice!

I stayed at El Camino Inn this week and my experience was horrible. I had stayed there a few years back and the hot water heater went out. The office did not even tell us we had to find out on our own by stepping into a cold shower. They did not even offer a reduction on the room that time, other than that the stay was fine. This time my room check in was at 2pm, room was not ready till 4pm (strike one) Next they said they never received my business cc info, when in fact it was confirmed and had been sent they could not find it in the mess of papers on top of a table, so I had to use my card. Moreover, my office was closed on Sunday and they were prepared to give them the corp account info early Monday morning and asked they reverse my card charges and use the company American express instead and they said we cant do that (strike two) Trash cans outside by stairs as well as other areas of the property were overflowing with guest food and pizza boxes not sure why no one could be pro-active and take to dumpster to avoid it looking so bad, thus rats (strike three) Never seen managers or office staff walk grounds, thus bum asking me for money and food (strike four) Went down Monday for breakfast, said 7am and to my surprise was not open till 20 minutes after opening time, and found packaged Danish and coffee nothing else.

This place saved us! We came in to SF late on a Friday and this was one of the only places left with rooms at a decent price. The guy at the front desk was very friendly. Its not in the greatest shape but at least everything worked like it should. They have a really cool nook they have their continental breakfast in too. Its not a fancy place by any means but it isn't the worst place we've been to. The only real bad thing I can say is that parking is a little tight. But everywhere in SF is like that.

Stayed here 4 times over the past year and the lady is very rude and unprofessional. She accused me of being a thief because I went to the wrong room. The key card didn't work anyway and when I went back up front she copped a very bad attitude and accused me of trying to steal from other people. The guy is pretty cool though, this is the first time I have seen the blonde old lady. I will not stay here again and my family wont either.

Night manager checked us in and locked up and shut down the second we left the office. We found our bed to have stains on the sheets. (two one-foot diameter stains on the top sheet and one on the bottom sheet. ) We discovered this immediately but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. We had to get our own blanket and sleep on top. The front desk in the morning explained that they were "Clean Stains". What's the point. A pair of sheets isn't going to put the hotel out of business.

My daughter was accepted at San Francisco State, but they didn't have room for her in the dorms. They said, "give us a few weeks, and kids will drop out. " Great, except we live in San Diego! So, we found the El Camino, and used it as a jumping off point. My daughter lived there for nearly 3 weeks, and the commute to school was no problem. As other reviewers have said, it was clean, everything worked, and the managers were wonderful. And, it was affordable. I consider it a God-send.

The El Camino is a classic roadside motel. My room was small, clean and tidy. The furnishings were cheap but pleasant. Everything worked, including Wi-Fi. My only complaint is that the walls were thin, allowing noise from neighbors. Fortunately, no one stayed up late. There was toast and coffee for breakfast.
