Very nice hotel! Pet friendly with free breakfast. Also located near the beach and Hearst castle. Only downside is that there's no AC in our lovely room.

Room was spacious and spotless. The staff was wonderful. No need for ac as opening the window for fresh sea breeze is wonderfulness.

Very nice rooms. Pretty good breakfast. Wi-Fi is not so good.

Average stay the hotel, staff was great, had to work on my car in the lot to replace an axle and staff was fine with it. Very pleased.

Comfortable, clean, great value, nice people, quiet room, bed good, TV good, close to town and Hearst castle. I love the package deal that includes the dinner and tickets for two to Hearst.

Disgusting, dirty and smelly! Please take a look carefully to the blankets and sheets as soon as you arrive. The sheets were not changed we found hairs in both bed and sofa that was also smelly and with a sock from the previous guest. The receptionist "changed" it with clean ones but leaved the previous matress cover. I took it off and surprise! Huge spot of pee with blood on it! This happened in two rooms I booked for my family. She also was rude asking us why we booked 2 rooms instead one for avoiding this problems, really?

Basic hotel, but I felt like it was a 5bstar hotel the way I was treated. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The value is spot on. Clean, reasonable piece and right at the begin of a beautiful costal area. I did research, and picked this hotel over the others based on reviews and I don't regrety choice. Next time I pass through I'll book here directly. Just to be clear, it's not a super nice hotel. It's basic and the fixtures are outdated, but very clean with an exceptional staff. I might consider this a 5 star motel, if that would even be a thing. The best part is the ambiance of the hotel near by restaurants and the area in general. I felt like I was in a brand new high end hotel in 1982 and loved every minute of it. I am very particular about cleanliness, for me, at least the room I had was up toy standards even though it wasn't modern.

Went to the Manta Ray restaurant. Food was ok. Seafood a bit overcooked. Too away from what would have been a great feast. Good flavors, just over cooked.

This motel was great. The room was clean. The people who work there, professional and friendly, the price, reasonable, and the complimentary breakfast very good — including eggs and bacon. Daniel, the morning host, was very friendly and helpful.

Owners of the hotel were quite friendly and helpful. We had a nice stay over here, didn't found any issue. Beach is located across the street hence there will be some view of the ocean. We spotted few zebras grazing in the nearby mountain from the hotel.

Spacious rooms in an outdated hotel/motel. We had a goodnight sleep and a good enough breakfast. Nothing special but not bad.

Stay Here When Visiting Hearst Castle. Pros: Room: Extremely spacious room with balcony. All amenities such as mini-fridge, microwave, television are located in the room. The room was fantastic! Parking: Ample parking available. Location: Near the sea. Great breeze. No need for an air conditioner. Quiet location.

The rooms are ok, minimally equipped but decent. The service was to the point and breakfast was more than expected.

Close to the beach and the general store. Ok service and good size rooms. The rooms are a bit old and the bathrooms small, but all in all nice rooms.

The breakfast was quite poor and the rooms were dated. The bed was comfortable enough. Overall, not the best experience but good enough as a stopover on the PCH.

This hotel is across the road from the "oceanfront" hotels. It's about what to expect from a budget hotel. The room was clean, pillows were lumpy, shower took a long time to warm up. There was DirectTV and a continental breakfast (cereal, toast, fruit).

Hey there, I don't know what these other comments are all about but we had an excellent stay. Ocean front room with very nice bed and all the extras. Our hosts were polite and very informative about the area. We were scheduled to stay only one night but the room was so good we extended our stay! My waffles were great every morning but it was the view of the ocean and the proximity to the castle that took the stay from good to excellent. Thanks again from Tim and Lina (the Canadians! )

Run down, shabby. It's ok if you just want a place to sleep, but the motel 6 down the street looked more inviting…

Rooms are clean / ok. Breakfast ok too. Internet ok. Free parking is available. As transition hotel for 1-2 nights well suited. You can go to the Moonstonebeach to bypass the time. As is a visit at the "main street Grill" to recommend in the nearby Cambria.

Very good hotel. Nice lady at the reception. Price is also what to do. Book the best on-site and ask. There are enough alternatives but also within a radius of 100m.
