Excellent local, the price was right and the staff was nice and attentive. Overall great experience.

Friendly staff picturesque location. The Morro Bay is beautiful. We saw birds, otters, fishing boats. Relaxing. People are friendly. Can't wait to go back. If you want to see the otters, they show up during low tide. We saw a colony of about 30 otters when we were there. The bird estuary was amazing. Saw a pelican catch a fish! Awesome.

5 Stars for this small and basic lodge in the heart of Morro Bay which is. Not trying to be anything other than provide accommodation that is clean, simple and comfortable,. The ultimate plus is that if you are on the road with your fur baby they are welcome here too. Our room faces the oceanfront which surpassed our expectations for the cost and we could hear the seals, birds and fog horn all night long. What a beautiful oceanfront sleeping experience. Complimentary coffee, water, snacks and refrigerator are provided in the room, PLUS a gift of a dog blanket, squeaky toy and dog bones for our dog. How cute! This goes above and beyond the services of other pet friendly lodging we have encountered. The king bed and sheets are super comfortable and the room is appointed with everything you need,, and so what if the room is small? You should be outside anyways! All in all we felt this lodge offers amazing value and a big thank you to the super friendly staff! Cheers!

Clean, quiet, helpful and welcoming staff. Continental breakfast was adequate, rounded out by delicious cinnamon bun fron Frankie and Lola's free each day of stay. Very walkable to everything I needed. Had info on a dog sitter whichmade it possible to get a massage. I will definitely be back.

Location, location! The closest place to stay near Morro Rock on the waterfront. Retro decor, friendly staff, unpretentious. Worth staying at least once. We have stayed numerous times. I do not think the breakfast nook will fill you up, but food is very, very near by.

Awesome boutique hotel! Rooms are small but delightful and great central location. Suggest you book locally on their website for the best deals. Great staff too.

We’ve had a very nice visit. It’s right on the Embarcadero and nice for walking your pet. Yes, they love pets… and our Shiz Tzu is nuts about it. Yes, it’s older but who says older is bad… we will be back with our little.

Very cute little place right by the water. The owner/manager was really great and they are PET FRIENDLY! JUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR PET! :-) Recommend it for a quick getaway!

Love staying at the Bayfront Inn! The staff is always friendly. The rooms are clean. We enjoy sitting on the patio and watching the view of the Morro rock.

This is a small boutique establishment with a mega resort view! Clean, affordable, efficient staff and a prefect place for a place to sleep whilst visiting Morro Bay. Very nice, very clean, very handy to restaurants, the ocean, and area.

Cute little hotel for an overnight stay. Rooms are very small, with about 2 ft perimeter around a queen bed. Great location. Breakfast leaves something to be desired with mostly cold cereals. Nice staff.

Beautiful view of morro rock and great location. We brought our dog for the weekend during the harbor festival. The rooms are small but has everything you need. Pillows were a bit firm for me. Walking distance to the majority of shops and restaurants by the harbor. Our room came with a coupon for fish and chips at giovanni's and a free cinnamon roll at the restaurant in front of the hotel. The continental breakfast really wasnt much. Cereal, some fruit, bread… they have a nice deck and patio for hanging out and enjoying the view.

Free, awesome cinnamon rolls from the restaurant next door, and a free bottle of wine from a local winery. You also get a voucher for a fish and chips dinner, although we didn't use ours. The bed is pretty good for a motel, too. There's a good view of Morro Rock from room 10, but that means leaving the blind open so everyone going down the walkway to their rooms can see in. Cons: the room itself. This is a very old motel. It has 50s kitsch decor outside, which is cute enough. But our room had a modern headboard and bed tables, modern wall lamps and ceiling fan, two uncomfortable mid-century style chairs with a tiny plastic table covered by a phone, and an old desk with a plastic chair with no wheels. The desk has a mirror over it, but the only other art in the entire room is a modern-ish painting over the bed. That's it besides the wall mounted tv. The room and bath were positively dreary! When we lay in the bed, we were looking up at a nasty, old cottage cheese ceiling. AND the old carpet was so dirty, especially around the bed, that we both put our shoes back on. Ick! There's a tiny closet that also contains the mini fridge. If you want an iron, you have to ask the front desk. There's also no elevator to the upstairs rooms. At over $250 a night, we were bummed with what we got.

This was a great hotel to stay at in Morro Bay! The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the location was near everything in town. The rooms had nice little amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is AMAZING! Wake up and go to bed admiring the Morro Rock just across the way. Right in town and a quick drive or bike ride to the rock. The rooms are tiny, but very clean and the staff is great. Very dog friendly and your stay includes delicious cinnamon buns from the cafe next door every morning! Had a great stay.

The room was very clean, the staff was all so friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay! I brought my dog and he was greeted with a blanket, a toy, and treats to take home, although the treats didn't last long. There were also large bowls in the room for him to use for his food and water, which was really nice since he is a large dog. The room was small and the hotel is older so you can hear the other noises but we all slept well and would definitely recommend it and stay again!

Love this little location, the room wasn't real big but the service was fantastic. They gave us free snacks in the fridge, very clean, closs walking distance to almost everything in Morro Bay. They have a quiet time which I thoroughly appreciated. In the evening no excessive noise past 10 p. M. It was dog friendly, small animals only so, no big dogs walking through the hotel area. Owner was a history buff, shared great information with me about his recent trip to DC Gave a free coupon for dinner and also a free coupon for breakfast the next morning. This was a great find!

Best motel in morro bay in my opinion. Super close to morro rock and the restaurants at embarcadero. Pet friendly is a plus.

We loved this place. The service was great and the hotel is nice. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a lot of fresh ocean air in the room which was refreshing. The location is great. There is a lot to do within walking distance. We loved the seals "talking" right across the street. I wish we could have stayed here longer:)

The owner? /manager walks past the rooms constantly and if she sees something she doesn't like she yells at you. I agree with the last comment, they are ultra rude! we were yelled at both nites we came in because I was trying to find my keys to the room and she said we were making to much noise. As soon as someone checks out she runs into the rooms. At one point I even thought she might be taking the maids money because she was sure to get into those rooms before them. Not only were we price gouged! the rooms are very tiny for two people and the bathroom is worse. The only space to sit anything on is behind the toilet. The walls are so thin I could hear the man next door snoring all nite. The tiny "breakfast" room with the apples and oranges was even offensive. There is a tiny ice machine and she has a nasty note on it with an exclamation point saying you could only use it for your cup. I went down to get more coffee and the door was already locked at 9AM. Please if you read this heed our warnings. This is a very run down old motel and not worth half the price they charge!

First off, when I checked in the front desk clerk gave me the bill and expected payment immediately. No problem however I had to walk into his tiny office to give him my credit card vs him getting out of his chair to get my card. He was clear that quiet time is 10pm. Again, no problem as I can respect that, however my son and I were having a great time playing around. Our front door was open to get the cool air in because the rooms are HOT! We get a loud abrupt knock and the night shift lady yells at us at 915pm and says "keep it quiet, we have other guests" and slammed the door shut! They say free breakfast but that means a piece of toast. Will I come back? Uh No! They are flat out RUDE! They know people will stay here and apparently don't care about what people think. Over priced for a closet size room!

The room was tiny, I mean tiny, and any view was blocked by an outdoor wall. It was very noisy on one of my two nights. The reason I chose it was that it accepts dogs, but next time I'll go somewhere else.

6 stars! I stayed here for 3 nights with my 80 lb dog Max. We were welcomed with a gift bag for Max, including a blankie, chew toy (he quickly destroyed but loved) and American made dog treats. Also, they gave me coupons for delish cinnamon rolls next door, wine tasting, and fish and chips. The location is amazing, right off the bay, staff are great, and the hotel has a nice boutique-y charm. I kind of wish I worked here (or could stay longer). The only rec I have for large dog owners is to bring your own water dish. They supply food/water dishes, but my dog drinks a TON of water so I'm glad I brought his bowl. I expect most responsible dog owners would do the same, so minor rec.

The hotel was clean, and was right in front of the harbour. Excellent hostess and great service. We wpuld have loved to stay longer.

Fantastic hotel. Booked this for stop over while drving from San Fran to LA. Couldn't have been happier. Staff were so accommodating. We arrived quite late (sorry guys! ) well past the suggested final checkin time and were very warmly greated. The room was spotless and exactly as described with a beautiful view of the bay. People always say its the small things that make the difference and this place could write a book on them! From the complimentary juices in the fridge to the decent quality shampoo in the shower it was one good experience after another. We had travelled quite a bit in the States before this and this place sets a benchmark this type of accommodation. The icing on the cake was the complimentary freshly made pastries with our morning coffee! 10/10 well done guys.

Outstanding! I am already planning my return visit. My girlfriend and I reserved a very specific room. The online reservation system was a blessing, because we knew exactly which room we wanted, and we were able to secure it without issue. The room came with a full size bath tub that fit both of us easily and was prepared with bubble bath as well as other assorted bath products. The jets in the tub helped make the bubbles thick and full, and while my girlfriend enjoyed the privacy from the one side of the tub, I enjoyed a clear view of Morro Rock through the window, making this extremely relaxing for both of us. The rooms are small, but they don't need to be any bigger. Don't expect to find too many places to put your trash either, there is only one small trash can in the bathroom, but this room is not meant to be lived in as is evident from the lack of any closet. The room serves the purpose of providing a very comfortable place to sleep (our room had a monstrous and firm California King bed), relax (in the tub or on the bed watching the Hi-def LCD television), and clean (in the standing shower that is separate from the bath tub). In addition to being extremely comfortable, the room is also pet friendly and comes with the benefit of coupons for free services by local restaurants and other vendors! A+.

We stayed here during a holiday weekend when we returned home to celebrate the holidays with our local family. While the room was clean, the shower had some stray hairs and extremely small bath towels. My wife is a petite woman (105 pounds with rocks in both her pockets) and couldn't wrap the bath towel around herself. The room was functional. Fortunately we didn't have to spend too much time on premises or in the room. We had several complaints — — the gate and courtyard area had a urine aroma. It smelled like bleach splashed around to cover the urine aroma — unfortunately it did not work. Would assume it was from other guests pets or the on site managers dog. — Second complaint, anytime we walked through the gate, there was a finger that was lifting the on site managers room shades. Nothing like being stalked as you return to your room. Rather creepy. — Third, my wife and I were going for a walk in the evening, and being from the Central Coast area we know that some evenings, especially in November, December and January, you do not need a jacket. I had the room door open and told my wife in a normal speaking voice that she did not need a heavier jacket for our walk. The on site manager YELLED — yes — literally YELLED at me to be quiet as it was after the 10 pm Quiet Hours. If I am not mistaken, she made more noise than I did by informing my wife she did not need a jacket. I'm not mistaken.

Hello, we were in October 2008, here and must say that it is one of the worse Motels on our 3-week Route. It is great located and the price is OK, but not very clean bathroom (hair from the predecessor in the shower), and the lack of hair dryer, the really tight proportioned rooms and a few storage space reduced the experience. There are in the room (right next to the bed! ) a refrigerator, a coffee maker and a TV. The rooms are a little "with love" set. To foot one needs about 10 minutes to one of the most beautiful sunsets on the Pacific ocean to see — right next to the big rock ;-) That is why the posting of a "Bay View"room — the one uses anyway. In the vicinity there are a lot of Restaurants and about 5 minutes drive away you will find a supermarket and other shops. A lot of fun in Morro Bay.
