We loved the perfect local across from the Hotel Del Coronado. Also directly across from Miguel’s Cantina inside the El Cordova Hotel. Clean unit with modern updates. Very comfortable bed with great pillows. We will be back.!

Good family fun. We are all swimmers and love the water. Good thing the stingrays are skittish, we saw at least 50! No rip current, sandy bottom, small waves. A word of caution, my oldest cut his foot on a broken shell during the first few minutes we were there. He sat on the beach for the rest of the day. Wear wading shoes!

A wonderful beach to relax on! Go for a walk, recline and sit down or go swimming… this place had it all. Sand and beach were nicely kept. Only here can you see a white sand go to a mixed Marbled color and be so clean.

Great Beach! It's huge, clean with lots of room to find a secluded space. The sand is fine and the water feels great. If you're looking for waves, this is the wrong beach. Great for kids and families. The area around the beach is nice too.

After a short visit to Coronado Beach, we are looking for the opportunity to move there. It is a dreamland. You can see the the finest sand and gold glitter there. Best beach in CA for real!

In California, just sunbathe! Bathing is a dubious pleasure.

My friends liked it more than me :P I usually prefer clean beaches. I visited Florida a few months back and those beaches have clearly set the bar for me! Coronado, as an island if beautiful, lots of posh colonies, mesmerizing cliffy views, gorgeous weather, and not too crowded on the beach. However, the water was really sandy, I mean really really sandy. It was not emerald green or so, may be because it is more like a bay. Lots of sea weed also. Finding parking on weekends is a mess! You will have to make several rounds in the area before you get lucky and get a spot. I would prefer Torrey Pines over Coronado, and even Mission Bay beaches for clean water.

Excellent beach! Very large so even though there were lots of people there, it didn't feel crowded. Loved the fools gold in the sand that made everything sparkly. The only thing that would have been an improvement would be some showers to rinse sand off as you're leaving (and if there are already some, since signs indicating such)

Very beautiful beach to visit, or to come by and jog. Lots of views. The water is cold, but once you get in, you won't wanna get out! You can build sand castles, play volleyball, beach football, frisbee, sun tan, or just get wet! Boogie board or surf! And the great thing is, parking is free. Bad thing; good luck finding any. It gets crowded fast. But well worth the trip, I promise. And throughout the day, you'll see Military jets & helos flying overhead, landing on base. Very cool! I recommend you visit.

Beautiful, especially if you stay away from the hotel end. The dune restoration is beautiful. Farther north is the dog beach.

This is a beautiful beach with sparkling sand and seashells to be found. It is very family friendly but it is very crowded and can be very difficult to find parking to even get to the beach.

Nice beach to relax and enjoy.

Coronado Beach is beautiful. The sand is soft and powdery, and the water clear and blue. The beach is wide and long so there is plenty of room. I visited in January so it wasn’t crowded, although the water was a bit too cold to swim in. It was so pretty around sunset — very serene and romantic.

One of the best beaches around San Diego area. Nearby resorts and hotels make this beach exclusive. It’s clean, well equipped, and supported by resorts’ amenities available to general public, which is nice.

Love love love this place. Clean beach, tons of shells, life guards in duty. Parking is on the street but if you get there early it's easy peasy. Beautiful sites. The water was chilly but plenty of people enjoying it. Plenty of food and shops nearby to walk to. I'll definitely be back ❤

Place like this makes you feel the world is so gorgeous! Coronado is one of the magnificent and serene beauty! One can easily spend hours by just enjoying the view. One can also see the Mexico Border across the sea. Peek into the vintage, well preserved lighthouse is one of the tangible perks of visiting this place.

I loved the bravery of the sea next to the high mountains and its soft but strange sand.

Our favorite beach in San Diego for relaxing. It's one of tge cleanest beaches and there's never anything too crazy going on. Perfect for quiet sunbathing.

Very long expanse of beach front, with the Hotel de Coronardo overlooking. Always busy at the weekend, but a spectacular place to watch the sunset. Not lots of parking super close, or many facilities, but not too far from anywhere on the island. They pile up the seaweed in some places which can be a bit pungent but otherwise a lovely place to visit.

Great for family. December, the water seem to be in the colder side. None the less great beach and soft sand.

This is my absolute favorite place on the West Coast of California. The beach is very clean and well taken care of, with beautiful silver sand and a great view. There is a great walkway along the beach. Avoid the hustle of the mainland beaches by visiting this island; You won’t regret it!

One of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been in America.

Such a beautiful beach in a quaint community. Waves aren't too turbulent for small kids. You must shuffle your feet to avoid stingrays. Great views all around and very clean.

Easily one of the best Beaches in the U. S. Sand was awesomely fine and smooth. Beautiful at sunset. Only con is it gets freezing cold in the evenings even in Summer.

If you are looking for a resort a great location, close to the sand but which won't hurt the budget, look no further than the Coronado Beach Resort. The property is gorgeous, the staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful, and the property has been recently remodeled. There is gated underground parking, an elevator which takes you directly up to the lobby or to your room, and there's even a rooftop lounge with patio, spa and some rather nice views. Two things particularly impressed me about this resort: first, the beds were incredibly comfortable. When I travel, I often have difficulty getting a restful sleep, but not here. The bed was just perfect, and to my surprise, there was a swan made from towels on the comforter, much like what one finds when on a cruise. The second thing which really stood out for me about my stay was how enthusiastic-to-serve the employees are. I rode an elevator with a gentleman named Ramon. He asked what floor I was heading to, pressed the button and said, "You know, in January I will be working here 21 years! If you need anything at all, my name is Ramon and I am here to help you. " He pointed at the embroidered name on his shirt as he told me this. I didn't need Ramon for anything, but I sure knew that had a need emerged, I had an advocate on the property. The rooms, too, were wonderful.

This is mainly a time share resort. Unsure if they rent unused rooms. Nice place as it has onsite parking that is protected which is a big help here as parking is a real issue. Dishes, coffee maker, etc. Two room configuration at least the one I was using.

I come here every year and it's awesome! They have just finished some upgrades and it made it all even better.

Thought about booking a room there but the Web site sucks and has no prices. I'm not going to fill out a ton of info just to find out how much a room Costs! You lost my business get a better Web site.

This place is more like a dive than a hotel. The lobby is tiny, the halls smell, the rooms are ancient, and poorly furnished. The staff is rude. One of the problems is that these are condos, not hotel rooms. There are so many better selections that are better and around the same price. You can do much, much better that this place.

Coronado Beach Resort had really good restaurants in it and gift shops. I loved the decor in the hotel and the rooms were so cozy, it felt just like home. They had awesome service and everyone was so kind.

I stayed a week in March. Rooms are nice but nothing to write home about. Sofas &b chairs are a litte dated. Room service leaves a lot to be desired. I put out my "service now" sign but no one ever came to service my room. One day housekeeping knocked on the door and told her I'd be out in 10 minutes. 4 hours later when I returned, they still had not come. The second day I returned to my room to find the dishwasher running with 1 coffee cup in it yet there were plates and glasses on the coffee table un touched. My bed only got made 4 out of the 7 days I was there. Service at the Motel 6 is better. The one shining star was Brandon at the front desk. He was helpful and went out of his way to accomodate. Good Job Brandon. I was told on my last day that housekeeping does not change rooms every day. I have never heard of such a thing. The cheepest of motels will come in and refresh your room on a daily basis. Someting is wrong here.
