DO NOT TRUST THIS PROPERTY WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD! I’ve never been to this property, but they had no problem helping themselves to the card I had linked to my Bonvoy account. Even Bonvoy’s rep noted the charges were suspicious and flagged them for fraud, but the hotel still refuses to refund them. I’d love to know how this property justifies falsely charging Lifetime Elite members that have never been to this location, but the GM has refused to speak with me on multiple occasions. Avoid this property!

Location is excellent! Walking distance to several restaurants and the Pier. Beautiful sunsets from the pool, rooms were nice and clean. Easy Metro Link access.

The Board House, Laundry on-site, coin operated, Heated rooftop pool and whirlpool, great location!

Great location, we happen to live next to the train tracks so it doesn't bother us, but beware it can be loud. Besides that you are a block to the beach, movie theatre and tons of restaurant's and bars.

The best hotel experience EVER! The staff was wonderful, friendly and professional. Every employee was happy and accommodated all our request! Seriously the best stay! Couldn’t have asked for a better getaway! Rooms are cleans and the bed was excellent!

Beautiful place. Great location. Friendly, efficient staff including valet guys. Get an Ocean view unit (mine was awesome), unless you are a real sound sleeper or just like trains… can't wait for my next visit. Btw, the blue house next door is the Tom Cruise Top Gun House.

The views from the pool and fitness center are great. Rooms are modern and overall a great place. Probably the nicest spring Hill suites I have ever stayed at. There is a train station and rail next to the property, but I am a sound sleeper and didn't bother me.

This place is truly the definition of customer service! We were there over July 4th weekend and my 4 year old lost one of her Paw Patrol toys. We weren't sure if he got sweeper out in the ocean or lost at the pool. We called on our way home and no luck. Today in the mail we received not 1 but 4 paw patrol buddies sent by the general manager Stormi Posch. My little girl was over the moon excited about her new buddies. That is going above and beyond for their guests. Truly impressed! Thank you so much Stormi!

Great location! Steps away from the beach and next to several places to eat and shop. Staff at the hotel were nice and welcoming. I will definitely stay again! Room was clean and met our needs.

Beautiful hotel with ocean views. Have stayed multiple times, every room is a suite so you have a large spacious room for the same price as standard rooms at other hotels. Great complimentary breakfast selection. Awesome rooftop gym & pool.

Decent hotel close to the beach and downtown Oceanside. Good service, clean rooms, decent free breakfast. Train can be noisy but not unbearable. Great cleaning staff. Would stay again.

Awesome hotel! Stay is great, always ready to help. Breakfast is good with real breakfast items; eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, etc. Everything is within walking distance. Movies, pier, beach and plenty of food are just around the corner. Every Thursday oceanside had a street fair with hundreds of vendors. You can find foods from around the world, toys, desserts, clothes, etc. Always something going on in oceanside, What a great time, Great sunsets!

Ok so nice place. Everything was nice, a good ocean view room was reserved. Until we got here. Got the news that no ocean view is available and the only thing that is available is a room facing the back train track with a kind of frequent train passing by. How bad could it be right? Came in to the room. It was a good room but the earplugs on the night stand didn't make me feel like I would get a good night's sleep. Also, bathroom doesn't have a lock. Last thing I need is not having a "don't disturb sign" on my door and the cleaner walking on me after a night of chili a crab cakes with broccoli. Aside from that all is great. Complementary breakfast 7-10am you can't go wrong I would give 3 and a half.

Really nice hotel and staff. Very, private, secure and well maintained. Individuals can park at the hotel and walk around for shopping and dining or take the train. I would say the ocean view room was romantic. Even just one night was a dream date. We got here and enjoyed the view, went to dinner on the pier, came back, went to the hot tub, watched the sunset, bought popcorn and iced tea from the lobby and watched a movie in our room. ~~And our kids were with us but the king room has a divider between the bed and sofa bed and there is white noise machine. Tomorrow we look forward to an amazing breakfast and trip to the beach/playground. It is very relaxing an convenient here. Clean, peaceful, quiet. Slow paced and just a nice place to forget about life for a while while enjoying loved ones company.

Very clean, nice sized room, comfortable bed. Has Starbucks espresso bar in lobby restaurant. Nice lounge area and good size jacuzzi. Pool and jacuzzi are handicap accessible. Restaurant is good and has full bar.

Great roof top bar to catch the sunset. You don't have to wait for seats just go upstairs. However it gets fairly packed around sunset during Friday — Sunday.

This place is amazing we will be back rooms are great size the view from our room was stunning. The Staff was so nice and helpful Mr and Mrs Brown.

Pretty pricey for a room that backs up to railroad tracks but the room itself was beautiful. Breakfast here is the same as every other Marriott. Kids are excited for rooftop yoga this morning. Apparently there is an issue with people entering the hotel who don't belong so you can't get past the lobby without a key and t the key only allows you to exit on your floor. Valet parking is a $30 upcharge and really not an option since Oceanside had no overnight parking on the roads.

So much about this hotel is wonderful. It's all about the LOCATION. Right on the beach… Right around the corner from "Hello Betty's Fish House". I could walk outside, around the corner and sit at the bar of Betty's for a drink. You know. Like a grown up. The rooms are nice. You have to pay a considerable lot more for an ocean view. But the top floor boasts a spacious facility with an incredible view. In addition, there is a heated pool and long rectangular hot tub for many to enjoy. The reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it's right next to the train. Though the hotel provides ear plugs and white noise machines, it's still hard not to wake up in the middle of the night from the noise. I had a little trouble with that. My colleagues had more than I. Still, I would recommend this for the location and the pool. Great hotel!

Rooms are fine but if you're not on the ocean side you will get little sleep due to the trains. Ear plugs and white noise machines are standard in the room. I won't go back. Location would be great otherwise.

Nicely appointed rooms. Ocean view rooms have beautiful views and quaint balconies. Very family friendly. Breakfast has a large variety of options. We will definitely be back.

I gave 3 stars only because I didn't stay there, but was attending a seminar. The front desk attendant was very helpful and courteous and the lobby was beautiful. I appreciate having this site as a class room location.

This hotel is great. Super close to the beach/pier, sort of close to cool restaurants. The rooms I've stayed in are spacious and have a great lay out. Never feels crammed or grossed out. The only big bummer is that this hotel is right next to some train tracks. So if you're a light sleeper you'll be woken up a couple times throughout the night. The trains can be real jerks sometimes. Do they really need to lay on their horn at 4 in the morning?

Excellent hotel with many activities. The roof pool is very nice and has a nice spa and fitness attached. We love this hotel and we stayed here twice in the last two years. Make sure to check the weekend activities during summer with tons of kid’s activities. The only downside is there is no self parking and the valet is $30 a day before tip.

Great location — almost beach front, walking distance to beach, and a really nice pier. Staff is friendly. Lots of good eating places and other entertainment. Definitely a do over!

Really good buffet breakfast. Prices fair. Check-in and check-out & invoice accuracy was fine. The only negative was the room had no suitcase folding stand in room. Parking outside was free.

The room itself is very nice, very clean, and the beds are comfortable. We had a City view which was basically a view of the railroad tracks. I think we heard two trains during the night but the train noise isn't bad and they do provide ear plugs for the room and white noise machines.
The hotel is about 100 yards from the beach so it's an easy walk down to the beach great location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
By far the best part of this hotel is the pool and jacuzzi located on the 6th floor with amazing views of the beach and the City.

Didn't stay overnight, but stopped by and saw the lobby. It's a great location, walking distance to the train station, downtown Oceanside, and they Pier. There are a lot of restaurants right there, too. This is a pretty new building, only a year or two old (2015? Maybe 2016? ) Their lobby is nice. And they have sort of a game room, with corn hole and s shuffle board type game.

It was a peaceful setting. Who would not enjoy being near the ocean? It was clean and tidy and staff was nice and efficient. I would recommend going there to friends.

Nice place, great rooftop pool with amazing view, only vallet parking $15/day & $30/over night. Train blows the horn loud every hour. If you can handle that you'll enjoy your stay.

Nice modern hotel very close to the beach in Oceanside, CA. The front desk staff and the valet were friendly and efficient. My room was spaceous with a balcony and a nice view of the ocean. The room was well appointed with a desk, sofa, TV, safe, refrigerator, closet, walk-in shower, and bedside outlets for charging your phone. Everything is clean and modern. No self parking. Train tracks run directly behind the hotel. The tracks cross a road nearby, so the trains blow their horns every time they come through. That probably explains why the room comes equipped with ear plugs.

Wonderful customer service. Free hot breakfast. Beautiful rooms. Beach is right in front of the building. Only issue is that there is a train that passes right next to the hotel, causing disturb with sound. Hotel provided eat plugs and a white noise machine to help with sleeping. Still overall a nice place.

Location is great and staff us very helpful. Good for people that like the sound of trains all night! Breakfast ends promptly at the times scheduled so don't plan to get coffee or anything after that time.

The location, staff and facility are absolutely amazing. This is our second three week stay. The issue I have is with smoking guests who do not abide by the fact this is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not allowed on balconies or second floor terrace either. I do believe there should be signs on every balcony staying this. While it doesn't affect our stay, I do wish the facility recycled. There is a recycling receptacle in the room but housekeeping has told us that everything gets dumped together and they are not allowed to keep recyclables either. I have a couple bags saved to give to someone while walking around. There are many who supplement their income while preserving a part of our earth by recycling.

Part of me wants to give this place 2 stars and part of me wants to give it 4 stars, so you get the average. Negatives… the train going by all day and up to 1 AM. Nowhere to hide from that train horn. Parking is annoying, and no matter what you try you have to pay. The elevator (s) are the slowest in the world… stairs are not easily accessible or conveniently located. It also doesn't seemed to be located in a safe area, but overall it's ok and its not like being in SE DC or anything. Positives… it's a short walk to the beach. It's a short walk to a great pizza place, Knockout Pizza. The sunset from the "not so heated" pool is very nice. There is a nice bar/restaurant connected to the hotel. Overall, I don't think I would repeat, but it's in a central location if you need to stop for the night.

Very nice hotel, walking distance right across the street from the beach/ocean. Nice comfortable room with a balcony ocean view. Complimentary full breakfast, coffee and orange juice. Swimming pool overlooking the ocean, workout gym and 24 hour convenience store.
When a mishap took place in our room Saturday afternoon with the water in the bathroom, they quickly took care of us, moved us to a new room and comped us one night. :) Good job SpringHill Suites!

Train Horn Blast will Sever Eardrum Hyperbole? Exaggeration? No, it's not. Have you stood next to a train — next to! — when it blasts its horn? Yes. That. That's what it sounds like in a north-facing partial-ocean-view room when, 200 feet from the train station, directly underneath your third-floor balcony door, the train blasts its horn. But wait! There's more. Not only does the train blast every 30 minutes during the day — it blasts throughout the night too. You heard me. Throughout the night. I can't imagine no one has suffered a fatal heart attack because of this. But then, how would you prove it, right? Marriott would just say it was coincidence. Marriott's sleazy opportunists don't even warn you — not on their website, not with their reservation agents, not at the front desk. After 15 hours flying across the country, months of vacation planning, and thousands of dollars expended, SpringHill Suites in Oceanside, CA meets us with this. What despicable, sniveling rats! Oh. By the way, according to the front desk, you are not allowed to inspect a room prior to checking in—nor move to an alternate one once you do. Of course you're not. Of course. I now know why. And so do you. Our vacation was saved because the wonderful front-desk manager, Ellie, moved us to an ocean-front room the following night when she saw our bloodshot eyes and trembling bodies.

Very good hotel. A little train noise but nothing unbearable.

When I checked in the front desk receptionist told me I was on the City view side of the building and that there is a train that goes through occasionally. She also said there was sound proof glass windows. The trains ran until about midnight and resumed at around 5:30 a. M. The special glass windows were of little help. Needless to say I did not get much sleep. I recommend you stay on the ocean view side of the hotel. Otherwise, the room was clean and the hotel staff friendly and hospitable.

I was here on vacation. In front of a beautiful beach.

The hotel has cute decor in the lobby and everything seems clean. When we checked in we were told about train tracks nearby, which they offer ear plugs and a sound machine for. I didn't realize they meant RIGHT outside our window. We could still hear the train over the white noise… I would try an oceanside room if you're going to stay here.

This hotel looks great and feels great. The 2 Queens suite we are in is bigger than similar suite at a different SpringHill Suites we've stayed at. The pool is on the roof which has a fantastic view of the ocean and surrounding area. We will definitely stay here again.

Beware this hotel is basically built on train tracks. Our room shook all night long. I can't believe that Marriott would build a hotel here. Website does not tell you that train runs literally beside the hotel alll night! Horrible experience!

Pros: Oceanfront location, very stunning views and a short walk to the beach. Close to a lot of restaurants. Double Queen room was huge and very clean. Bathroom also very nice and clean with a large shower. Beds felt great to sleep on. A Book of Mormon included in the room was a great read. Great breakfast, I really like the sausage, peppers, and potato hash. Waffle station available as well. Plenty of seating everywhere with fireplaces. Large lobby and great staff. Cons: Train passes by behind the hotel, very noisy. Not something they can fix but they make the best of it with free ear plugs and white noise machine. That helped drown out the train a lot for me and I slept fine. Elevators were slow, it took me a bit to figure out how to use the key card access to use the elevator. That might slow it down but offers a feeling of safety. Parking was too expensive for our family so we parked in the $5 open lot right across from Hello Betty. As others have said you have to wait till midnight to repay since it is a vending station and the ticket expires at 11:59pm everyday. The area east of the hotel seemed sketchy but we ate at the southern BBQ place nearby and loved it. Would stay here again.

It was a nice place, but there are some things that they could do it better. First the water from sink flow to slow, so I had to fix it for them, and it was free of charge. The shower door is not sealed, so you will get some water in your bathroom. There is railroad on the back, but it was not that bad, and I was able to sleep, but everyone is different. The second day they did not clean the room. Breakfast is OK, but I think that it will be much better if they will have free parking instead of breakfast which is the same every morning. Overall is not a bad place to stay. They deserve 4 stars rating, not more.

The hotel was right next to the beach, beautiful view of the ocean. Several restaurants are a stones throw away. And the customer service is phenomenal! Everyone was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: right next to the beach, new beautiful hotel, if you get the right person great customer service, beds are comfortable. Cons: trains all night long very loud good luck sleeping. Shower leaked even after I told them, they refused to give a new room even offered to pay more. Bathroom is very small. No lock the n the bathroom door. Most employees are very rude and unhelpful. Parking $26.00 a night.

The room was lovely and the service was excellent. With construction underway nearby and a passing train, the staff has done it's best to accommodate us by placing ear plugs and a white noise machine to block out the noise.

We just spent 5 nights at this hotel. What an incredible hotel. The view of the ocean was amazing, from our room and the roof top pool. This hotel is in a perfect spot, it's close to the ocean and lots of shops within walking distance. We would highly recommend it!

Being a new hotel everything was clean and performing wonderfully throughout the hotel. Breakfast was a treat. I only have a couple things that bothered me, first must always carry a key card. Cannot leave lobby for in elevator without it. Secondly, patio had nice view for two standing. Sitting down or any more people and it gets cramped quickly. Bad design I'd say. Worth the stay if not paying full retail.

I need to tell others why I love this place? Well that's easy. A staycation away from 5 beautiful kids and all the jazz. As for the Hotel itself I find it beautiful, clean, modern, and it's location is great. Small beach town feel with bars, restaurants, movies, and a 1 succulent cafe that the wife loves.

Next to train tracks. This place needs to be realistically averaged down, it sits right next to a train track with a crossing and is a 6 story hotel so it's train noises all day and night. Wish I had seen that on a map, I wouldn't have stayed here. They do provide a small noise maker and ear plugs to drown out "city noises", but if you've ever stood next to train tracks when a train is passing is you'll understand what a joke that is. The first room they put me in was right on the corner of mission road and the train tracks, every time a train passed it sounded like it was barreling through my room. I called and asked for another room, they said there weren't any rooms available at my rate anywhere else in the hotel which I found strange considering how empty the hotel seemed. The next morning after a sleepless night, I went to the front desk, and asked again, and what do you know, several rooms were available for immediate move in. I got a new room, walked in, heavy chemical smell (probably carpet cleaner) and a black ice air freshener hanging on the bed frame. Turned around, walked back out, complained again, got a new room on the ocean side. It was still loud. Was able to sleep maybe 5 hours the next two nights. I was going to up them one star for moving me to the front of the hotel, but they wanted to charge me an extra $50 to check out one hour late (@noon instead of 11am). And $100 for a 2pm check out.

I loved this place so much! Excellent! I stayed here for one night and my room was a Ocean view. Beautiful. Complimentary breakfast was available. This is such a nice place to stay. I am coming back here definitely but one con is that check in is until 4 pm and that's where a huge line forms… Yet check out is 11 am.

We can say that staying here has been our best experience stay at a Marriott hotel. Ellie at the front desk treated us with an upgrade to an ocean front room along with a complimentary bottle of champagne since we were celebrating our anniversary. What a beautiful hotel complete with a rooftop pool overlooking the ocean. In the morning while we were enjoying the breakfast buffet, Ellie came up to us and asked if we were enjoying our stay, and what activities we did so far. She also give me tips of places to go while my husband is at work. Ellie's magnetic, caring personality has definitely enhanced our stay at Springhill Suites Oceanside. What excellent customer service she has displayed. Part of the Marriott way.

We stopped at 333 and it was good. Loved the bloody marys.

Right next to the train tracks on the city side. Great view of the beach and walking distance to many local food / drinks. The bathroom door is hardly a door at all, more like a closet screen. Fine if your there alone or with a lover though. Roof top pool and spa are cool and small work out room but it seems empty most of the time which is good. Valet is 26$ but across the street there is a public lot 5$ all day till midnight, but all you need to do is go down and renew at midnight and your good for 24 more hours. Much cheaper and people think that you can't park there after 12am but you just need to renew your ticket.

I love this hidden gem and all the staff. The ocean view is amazing. The staff goes above and beyond to have your experience there be a good one; they are all just down right nice. From the valet, to the front desk to the rest of the staff you don't see, well done everyone. Thank you for a great week.

This place was completely unbelievable the staff was very nice and courteous very helpful the place was clean room service was awesome the view was spectacular all the bedding was clean the bathrooms were clean it was a really nice place to stay a great place to eat I would recommend this place to anyone if I go back to Oceanside I most definitely will be returning there thank you for the nice service the valet parking was excellent they were courteous and nice and took care of my car and they got the car whenever I needed it they were very helpful.

I love this hotel! Shawn in reservations was amazing, so very above and beyond helpful and it was so appreciated. Gosh, he was so right. He said I would love this location as it's their most popular in San Diego. Ok, I can TOTALLY see why! I loved this hotel from the moment I walked in! It is so beachy, fun while really sweet and tranquil. How did they do that with the decor? It's really well balanced! The staff are incredibly nice so far. The room: spacious (and fun, creative use of the space), grounding, but also light hearted (a really great balance, once again. It's really comfortable hanging out. I love this desk! I am stopping myself here because I feel like an infomercial, but I truly cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel and I am sooooo ready for amazing! Happy to be here! :) Oh my gosh, I almost forgot: I should have taken a photo because I could not shut up about how awesome FINALLLYYYYY a luggage cart can be! Not only that, ALL their luggage carts look so new, sturdy and wow, built for use! I cannot say how great that is! Lately, I left a Marriott in Mission Valley today (don't go to that one! EWWW! ) that had the most rickety luggage cart ever. I don't know how it was able to stand lol But these, so many and wow, so huge, sturdy and with amazing hooks. Perfecto! I am so proud of this hotel! There is hope afterall!
