Room was beautiful. Microwave, Mini Fridge and Coffee maker. Etc. Really accommodating.

This hotel is the best one u can get for this price. Spacious rooms AMAZING service. Pool jacuzzi Wi-Fi. Breakfast had an array of fresh bagels and pastries yogurts and homemade fresh waffles. The location is great. Not far from the main attractions. Near gas stations and supermarkets. They have free parking. The customer service was above and beyond. I felt at home. Definitely recommended.

Staff was competant. Room was decent. Because of adjoining room I thought I smelled "skunk". I honestly thought a skunk may have entered my room. I hope I don't get drug tested anytime soon do to second hand skunk. The complimentary breakfast was actually quite good. Attention to detail was lacking. For example I had four packs of decaf coffee in my room and no regular coffee. I would stay there again however.

They did not give us a wake up call very upset. But room was nice the girl working the desk on june 25th very nice and helpful. Margie miller. Eve Born. Room 133

Wow this is not a place I would take my family to again. The first hotel room hadn’t been cleaned, and was pretty gross. When we decided to get a new room we were told that they didn’t have staff to come and clean the room and we were asked if it was really that messy. It sounded like they were going to tidy it up quick and give the room out anyway. We got a new room, that was at least visually clean. Wasn’t a very good part of town, and never really felt safe. Noticed that they did give our old dirty room out afterwards as well. Would not recommend.

The Hotel Needs An Overall Interior Upgrade, Its Very Outdated Compared To Other Best Western Hotels I Have Visited. There Was Issues With Plumbing As Well As In My Room The Water Was Not Draining Properly. Also It Felt Unsafe As There Were A Lot Of People Walking Around and Anyone Can Come Into The Hotel Location. Wish They Had Private Parking Lot For The Hotel. Good Things Were, Breakfast, Wi-Fi, and Customer Service.

Great rooms. Internet was dead during my 2 nights stay. Breakfast was ok.

We booked a month in advanced by phone via their main reservation line and requested adjoining rooms. That same day we called and talked to the Best Western Staff in El Cajon directly and made sure we had a reservation for adjoining rooms. We arrive and guess what, no adjoining rooms. Took them over 2 hours to figure it out. We get in the rooms and unpack and realize just how nasty they are. My kids feet turned black from running around barefoot on the carpets in the room. My room didn’t have bar soap, there was a bad smell ( (I think the room used to have a smoker in it) ) and the water would get warm not hot and wouldn’t stay warm longer than a couple minutes. On top of all of this, they had people painting the stair cases a dark grey color. They did not put up “wet paint signs” and they left cans of empty paint with paint brushes outside of our room doors and on the stair cases. Save your money and your health — GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I booked a room with a kitchenette. It was nice and clean. The size of a single apartment. I will definitely be returning.

Took about 3 hours to get adjoined room. Was dirty. People were nice though.

Disgusting place. No hot water. Dirty room with a kleenex plugging the missing view hole. I saw what definetly looked like a drug deal happening in the middle of the day. I was from out of town so I didnt know the type of area the hotel was in. I packed up after the first night and went to a different hotel. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I was only there for a short amount of time, but at a glance everything seemed like it was up to par. Rooms were clean and the hotel was located right beside the 8 freeway.

The hotel was clean, and the breakfast really nice for a continental. However, the staff was unfriendly and the neighborhood scary. We would not stay here again it recommend it to anyone because of the neighborhood.

Rooms were comfortable and clean, there is a pool and a hot-tub there, breakfast is also on point, you can make FRESH WAFFLES!

Half an hour from San Diego. "Anything" you need by the hotel is close within a mile. Suite was fantastic. Great prices.

Best continental breakfast! But somehow over charged me like 1300 after a 2week stay. And we're totally unhelpful in trying to work out the solution.

The stay was alright, although on the second day we were informed of the loss of water for repair. That lasted for almost the entire day, and it’s rough since my family and I could not take a shower (happened in the morning). Normally I would give a two star yet the manager worked out a price discount for the second night. Not bad at all!

Minor issues encountered during my stay: entrance to the hotel lot was kind of tricky; the TV remote was missing but the office staff replaced it ASAP; orange juice dispenser was not restocked; it only had water; bathtub fixture to adjust water temperature was difficult to operate; staff was dressed too casually. Otherwise, breakfast, internet, and other amenities were good.

Great place to spend time in when I'm on vacation, with a friend staff. Service dogs are welcome as well!

Well it started out as a great stay and a good rate for what it is in the area it is in. But then I got my room, which reeked of cigarettes and smoke. I reported this to the staff. I figured it was a smoking room because they did not tell me either way and it stunk of cigarettes so bad. They did not offer to give me another room they just noted that it smells like smoke and would let the maids know in the morning. I ended up getting charged $20 extra by the general manager Edward Huskins Because he said the same thing I said when I rented the room, it smelled like smoke. I told him I reported it. He did nothing but charge me for a pre existing condition of a room (room 109 stinks of smoke and is non smoking so…) Seems like quite a little scam to charge an extra 20 bucks every time and make me pay for it instead of them cleaning it properly before I rented it. The rooms are clean it looks like they’ve done some changes to the place which is nice. Then came the pool problem. Started smelling gas when you would turn on the Jacuzzi to heat it up. Reported it to the front desk for three days but nobody called SDG&E and the maintenance man there said it smells like that all the time it’s fine. The general manager after I reported it to him said “oh there’s no gas smell”.

Convinient location, very clean and updated rooms, equipped with mini fridge, iron & board, AC, free Wi-Fi, Pen & note pad, rooms are on the small size scale but never the less cozy and details enfasizeing on Crisp Clean towel arrangements and Good quality toiletries displayed on a slick modern well lightened vanity as you enter your room give it that inviting feel of spa comfort. I found the room to be above satisfactory more so than the staff. I didn't feel welcomed, if it wasn't for the fact I had to check-in I would've been un-acknowledge. There was 2 young ladies in the office lobby whom just stared blanked at me till I got to the front desk and greeted THEM, there was never a smile, nor was I told about complementary breakfast, Wi-Fi, or that the ice machine on my floor was broken & there was a second floor ice machine that worked My stay there would have been better if staff, specialy front desk clerks, showed basic customer service ethics to match and optimize the quality of this Hotel that's why I'm giving it a 3 star.

Rooms were clean, but you had to let the water run for at least 20 mins to get at least luke warm water. The a/c didn’t work in one room and when we called the front desk they said to let it run for a few mins. We told them it had been running for 3hrs! In town due to a death in the family. Checked out after the first night!

No hot water. Front desk staff acted as if it was the first time they had heard about it. Come to find out some guest had been there for three weeks with no hot water.

Front desk not friendly and rude, no hot water in shower, broken ice machine, broken elevator. Not worth the money.

Rooms where clean and very comfy. Breakfast bar was stocked and very good selection of food. We enjoyed our stay!

The service was very friendly. The rooms were nothing special, but they were perfectly adequate. The only complaint would be that the hotel is right next to a freeway, and that you can hear the cars drive by. There was also a gas station literally right next to it, which made it extremely convenient to fill up the car with gas and grab some snacks to continue with our road trip. The picture I posted is a view of the freeway from the room balcony.

Nice, clean hotel with nice pool and good breakfast. Had issues with shower control and did not have hot water a couple times. Despite the lack of hot water, hotel staff, all but one, we're responsive and apologetic.

It was a good price for the area. But my room which was non smoking reeked of smoke. The door was hard to open and close. We ran out of shampoo and toilet paper and asked for more and it was never sent. And that was after calling the front desk 5 times and letting it ring 15 times before it was finally answered. They mixed up our reservation and after the 2nd night called me to say that if I didn't extend my reservation they were going to remove my belongings and that they couldn't give me the original rate that it was reserved with.

Stayed in the 3 story building in a suite. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Loved the waffles! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Our experience at this Best Western was good and we would stay here again.

Thia is the second time I stayed here and for how busy this can get the staff are very nice and my room was clean, comfortable, soft bed :-) and good a/c.

Check in was fast! Room was musty and humid and had an odor. It could definitely use an upgrade for the rooms. Didn't hear a lot of noise. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms good but didn't stock towels. Continental Breakfast was good eggs were not watered down overall I would love to stay again once the rooms are renovated!

We had a great room ed thank you for everything, breakfast was great.

I liked their service. Only problem was the shower, it was a bit complicated. It was pretty good overall.

It was clean and quiet. We arrived late. There was a homeless guy sleeping in the stairwellI near our room, I called front office and they promptly came to remove him. Included breakfast is satisfying! Make sure you bring your breakfast vouchers though. They had granola, milk, apple and orange juice, cereals, hot oatmeals, apples, fresh apples, bananas and oranges, coffee and tea. Waffles were really good. We stayed in mid April 2016. The attendant made it easy and she was very helpful.

Room was great, house keeping great, some really shady guest that we saw.

Would give a good review if the house keepers weren't sneaky thieves. The breakfast you have to pay for (or its included if you have a suite, we had the helix suite) the house cleaners eat breakfast in there every morning. They waited until after we left to go into our room, since the little card to not disturb is so tiny we didn't bother putting it up in hopes they wouldn't go in since most hotels have a policy where if youstay more than one night they only come in after the second night to change towels and bedding (we don't use theirs anyways) moving on, a pair of puma shorts we had just bought the week before were in the bed so I figured maybe they mistakenly rolled them up in the bedsheets when they changed it. I called numerous times and they never were found. I wouldn't think they intentionally stole them until I did my make up in the morning and realized my whole make up bag had been tossed around (I put everything a certain way so I know if anyone goes through anything) everything was out of order, my face powder was completely broken (it wasn't before) and ironically the only thing missing was a mac shadow brush. I'm not sure why they took such random items, puma shorts, and a mac make up brush. But they for sure did because I use that brush every single day and was upset when I couldn't use it this morning and have to buy a new one now.

The place isn't very good. Internet is pretty much nonexistant, no elevator, and very basic breakfast. Also the area isn't the best. It's close to the highway through, but it does make it so rooms facing the highway (a room we got) are noisy.

Very nice, clean, respectful easy to navigate wonderful export.

My husband and I had a wonderful time we made reservations for a 1 night get away and to my surprise the honeymoon suite was fantastic large Jacuzzi best bed ever! The customer service was awesome and the breakfast was delicious waffles and juice bar … we have found our "once in a while get away room" Close to everything beach, casinos, Julian we differently recommend it.

The room was fine, but dont plan on taking any of the continental breakfast to go. The hostess blocked the door in order to prevent us from walking out with coffee and a bagel. Seems like a ridiculous policy to me. I contacted their customer service department but they were of no help.

Everything was awesome. Great staff and wonderful hostess very helpful. I stayed in El cajon. Rooms were extremely clean and in tip top shape.

Satisfactory room. The water pressure was sporadic in the basin and the shower. The elevator was temperamental. I had to wait for longer than I wanted so I used the stairs.

Rooms are good, some damage to walls. One desk agent wasn't very helpful, rest were very friendly.

I wish I could give this hotel zero stars.

PABLO the manager. Refused to do anything about a room that smelled like crap.
MARIA the house keeper is a liar saying she smelled it but it was something we did to make it smell when she went to check the room out.
Out dated rooms.
Cancelation is 48 hours in advance (even if you make it less than 48 hours in advance) and per Pablo even if a family member were to pass away it would be impossible to cancel the reservation with less than 48 hours notice how nice.
Cooperate best western was no help at all.
Located next to a free way.
Pablo refused to provide us with owner info that he was the highest a complaint could go.
I would never stay there again!

The room was clean. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. My expectations were met. Yes, it is close to the freeway, so expect some traffic noise.

Stayed at this hotel on my most recent dive trip out to San Diego. The room was clean and the facility was well-kept. The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was served on time with all the amenities I've come to expect from best Western. I'll definitely stay there again when I return for future scuba diving trips :-).

Not the best place to spend night because of freeway. Everything else were good.

Both ice machines were broken, breakfast not ready at promised time, rooms smelled, not properly stocked.

This hotel was HORRIBLE! My husband got there to check in and they said they were having a security check and everything was locked. My husband saw the guy coming from the gas station with snacks (not security check) the FREE Wi-Fi was not working at all, and the pool was closed for cleaning in the morning, even though no one was cleaning it! HORRIBLE SERVICE.
