Normally my stays at motel 6 are just fine. This time however it seems the staff had way too much to deal with as the lady at the front desk was very rude. I have severe hypertension and am a diabetic and when I called down to the office to ask why the air conditioning wasn't working as it was 104 degrees in Redding that day I was informed that they knew about it and it would get fixed when it got fixed, a bit of information that would have been helpful upon check in. I will never stay at motel 6 north in Redding CA again. If your going to charge almost $80 for one mediocre room a night that was completely booked then they should be able to pay a service company to come and fix it.

The location was convenient and easy to get to from I-5. The room had been updated, was quiet, and was nice and clean. I booked on line and the site was easy to use on my phone. Overall, a pleasant overnight stay.

The people at the desk were incredibly accomodating, especially since they were so full and people were so frazzled because of the fire evacuations. I ended up leaving early since I was afraid the Carr Fire would shut down the interstate, and they were so kind and helpful. I really can't stress enough how great the employees were at trying to make sure everyone was comfortable and safe during an incredibly scary situation.

I've stayed at many Motel 6s and this one is by far the best. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, the price is good and they loved my dog. Check in was fast. I can't say enough good things about this place. I highly recommend when you're in Redding!

Very comfortable room for an overnight stay. Rooms have been updated nicely since we have stayed in other Motel 6 motels. We may start staying in more of Motel 6’s if they continue to be like this one. I did miss not having a microwave though. Staff were friendly and helpful.

For one, Motel 6 took out all microwaves and fridges. You have to pay extra now to have a fridge. And the maid that was on our room, stood in front of our window mocking our dog. He's VERY friendly, but when someone stands there watching him, he barks. Very rude. There were plenty of other dogs alone in their rooms, but the front desk called my phone and told us we had to come up and get our dog. We couldn't leave him in the room. And after we took him out, we were out on the town till later that evening and our room WAS NOT fixed up. We had no clean towels, no soap, and no made beds. I don't care about the bed, but when I had to go ask for towels and soap, I got dirty looks like I was trying to steal em or something. We will more than likely not ever stay at that motel 6 again.

Great place to stay for a fair price! I love that they are pet friendly and don't charge extra for bringing fur babies along! The rooms are clean and a decent size and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Overall pleased with our stay. Our rooms Ac/heater control was missing any type of indicator as if you were on heat or cool. After finally figuring this out our Ac unit did not work. Rooms were clean except for the toilets not just Motel6 South but also Central.

Always a pleasure to stop here. The staff goes out of their way to make things comfortable. Rooms are clean, sinks drain, water is hot, thermostats work. Plus a great rate for truckers.

Stayed one night to visit with our son. We are very happy that you allow pets as our diabetic dog needs more care so he usually has to travel with us. The room was clean and quiet. Could use a little more hot water but otherwise the stay was pleasant.

Front desk service was friendly and it was in a good, safe location. We noticed a security guard make rounds in the parking lot which was nice. The room/bathroom look exactly like the picture for once. It was very clean, except for the sheets in the bed. It had A LOT of small hair everywhere, slept with my own blanket. Over all it was pretty good for the price.

When we arrived in the late afternoon, there was no ice bucket or plastic drinking cups. I had to call the office, who provided them quickly. The cord between the phone and the handset easily pulled out of the socket. The room was very hot with no air conditioning. The first of our two nights was uncomfortably hot. Management fixed it the next day.

Heard every step and creak from upstairs ALL NIGHT LONG! I use hotels to sleep, not pace the floors and cuss/yell at my spouse. Security spoke to them and it just got worse! Thankful they gave me a full refund, and I got another hotel for the rest of my stay. I was going to leave at 2 am except my kids slept through all the noise. Maybe this wouldn't be your experience but definitely get the second floor so you can be the nose maker. Pool wasn't open in 80 degree weather. I know it was Easter but there were tons of dust bunnies under the bed and desk.

For a quick overnight stay, you get the value for your money. Room was renovated (new) and modern, bed very comfortable, staff friendly, modern TV. Not many places to ear nearby but I went with staff recommendation and ate at the little Mexican restaurant, good food!

This one is better than most. Motel 6, your towels are too small and like sand paper. Your pillows are flat. Your rooms are dismal. Don't you want your guests to be comfortable?

The girl at the front desk was awesome. Great attitude, very nice. Internet was a bit slow but actually worked on the back side.

Good price. Pretty clean. Hot shower. Heater worked. TV worked. Nice check-in lady. Better than expected. I have no complaints except that I would have liked to have had a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Oh, and a mat to wipe our feet. It was raining and we brought water into the room with us. Had to use a towel to clean it off the floor. (No carpeting. )

Sometimes the desk help was friendly, professional, and helpful, and sometimes not so much. But our biggest concern for staying somewhere is cleanliness, and you met our expectations there; the room felt both safe and clean. I personally have been choosing Motel 6 for my stop-overs for 30 years, since my 20's. Your combination of competitive pricing and high standard of cleanliness almost never disappoints. And we so appreciate the dog-friendly attitude — in fact the welcoming attitude, since you don't charge any fee. You were above average on affordability, cleanliness, and dog-friendliness, the hospitable trifecta in our opinion.

I always use the Motel 6 in North Redding, Ca. The rooms have been refurbished and always clean. You don't have homeless and others wandering through the parking lot all through the night. I feel safe and I'm comfortable at this Motel 6. I use this Motel 6 in Redding, probably 3 to4 times a year.

We were traveling with our pets. A family member recommended Motel 6 which accommodated us. Wish this one had some information about nearby restaurants. Desk person was not too familiar with the area, but was able to guide us to the freeway exit well enough to get breakfast.

GROSS, I will pay the 60.00 more for the Comfort suites, The floor was clean, The bed smelled like a person who has not showered in a week, Same with the pillows, The Sheets were clean… I SLEPT FLAT ON MY BACK WITH MY JACKET AS A Cover. Toilet looked clean. Under the lid was stained yellow,, The shower curtain was a puke yellow and I think it was intended to be green, When the air blew and it touched me I gagged. IT looks and it has faded but no sun hits the bathroom, The bottom of the shower was stained with dirt, Buy a Mr clean eraser to scrub it, I used a towel on the shower floor as I was afraid to catch something. The staff at check in. She was really nice and did a great job. The fridge and Microwave were fine, The furniture was junk. Looked like wallmart ready to assemble junk. Scratched and wobbled. I understand value and cost. But it was really gross… I work in Redding as a First responder a few days a week and will Gladly pay more to avoid motel 6… This was like a hourly rate hotel. Gross.

The staff in the office were friendly and professional. The room was warm very clean and everything was in its place. The towels were clean and bright white. The TV and remote worked well. The hotel is right off the freeway. Please remember to ask for a room away from the freeway, as I did, or you will hear road noise all night. There is coffee in the morning at the office.

I have always been wary of booking a room with Motel 6 but my stay at the Motel 6 in Redding CA changed my opinion. I needed a place that accepted pets and Motel 6 provided that. I was extremely pleased with the room. The room was very clean and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. I will remember Motel 6 the next time I need a room to stay in.

Service was exceptional (Antoinette) ; room was immaculate; it felt safe and comfortable, with ample parking. One note is that they don't have the little bottle of shampoo, so just keep that in mind — it's not a problem for me, and there was soap and nice towels and everything else. Hot water did not work in the sink, but I'm sure that was an anomaly, and not a problem at all. Walking distance to a convenience store and they have ice & microwave in a shared room, as well as coffee in the office. Very pet friendly.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were nice and helpful. The beds are lacking a little, but I still slept great! I would definitely stay again.

Love this place, I stay here every time I have business in Redding. Super clean and always inexpensive. Location is PERFECT also. The staff is professional and helpful.

Room had a nice layout, simplicity works well. Shower curtain is easily pushed outside shower by water pressure, creating a puddle on the floor. You have to adjust the pressure down for that not to happen.

I stay here often, overall it is always pleasant to deal with the staff. The rooms are comfortable and the staff accommodating. My only complaints are: 1). Insufficient cooling, so I carry a small high velocity fan. 2). I do not like the cramped shower and leaky shower curtain. 3). I don't think the outer bed coverings are washed often enough. All that said the stay is normally pleasant and the Trucker Rate makes it far and away the best deal anywhere in the country.

Absolutely loved my stay. Best bang for the buck, period. Shower was a bit dirty and there was a slight smell, but the room overall was very clean. Beds were a bit uncomfortable but I slept great nonetheless. Also the thermostat is a bit annoying… leaves a lot of guesswork as to how cold your room is or isn’t going to be. But for $66 out the door, it was an incredible value. Will be coming here next time I’m in Redding guaranteed.

Good deal. Parking was ample. Close to highway 5. Coffee was free and decent. Appreciated the launderette. Floor was kinda dirty and room was a little noisy. Would have liked a continental breakfast.

I was extremely disappointed. When we checked in the staff was "interesting" and some staff in the back room sounding like they were going to brawl. The majority of customers were just as shady. We believe there was even a drug deal near the pool. The "continental breakfast" did not exist "at this location". Bought microwave food but the the microwave turntable did not turn therefor burnt our popcorn. Tried the microwave in the vending machine room but it had the same failures. You could tell the internal pieces were not compatible for the microwaves. There was NOT a full bath, the shower had hair stuck to the walls and there was no shampoo available. The air conditioner was inadequate (were told some would come look at it but never did). Was told our beds would be made daily but did not happen. The T. V. Only had some cable channels no standard channels i. E. Abc, cbs, nbc. Our family felt unsafe. We did not sleep well. Will definitely pay the $25 to go somewhere else next time. When I was getting my free coffee, there were other customers complaining about their rooms. The only saving grace was when we checked out Monday Morning, it was a completely different staff. They were engaging, professional and made me wonder if management has a clue what is happening on the weekends there!

I always stay at this motel. I travel with my dog. The free pet policy is wonderful. I love that it is outside of the downtown area. You can walk out of the mote, l cross the street and walk your dog in a big field… it's a nice location. For a traveler it's a great price. Always seems silly to me to spend a lot of money on a room when you are just using it for sleeping and getting on down the road well rested. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Rooms seem somewhat consumed. Not super clean but in order. Beds good. Bath large, shower only for small people to use well.

VERY good price for what we got. Motel was actually modern and nice inside. Swimming pool was included which was a plus. For cheap stops, I will look for Motel 6's again.

Upon arrival to our room, my family noticed a smoke smell. My husband and I were sure it was the smell of marijuana. The neighbors next door were yelling at each other. We left for awhile and hoped it would just calm down. When we came back, we still noticed the smell, but the noise was down, so we decided to just get ready for bed. After getting ready for bed, in our room at the Redding North Motel 6, we noticed we had bed bugs. That is completely disgusting and we had to leave. We found a place at another hotel in the area to stay in.

We found a new directory at a Motel 6 somewhere else, probably in Kansas. That made it easier to find accommodations when we needed them. We drove from Salem, OR, on our way home to Arkansas. This motel was available at an appropriate time. We always stay at Motel 6 when possible, a habit we got into when we had a dog.

Late checkin but all was good. Room clean and well-stocked. Efficient front desk service. Excellent value.

Right off the bat, I saw that the bedspread had a very big, ugly stain that looked like oil and another that looked either like lipstick or blood. There was also a burn hole that looked like it came from a cigarette. Very gross! I pulled it off to take it to the front desk and found that the blanket underneath had multiple burn holes. Also looked like from cigarettes. I took both to the front desk and was given a replacement bedspread. (didn't want a blanket) The guy at the front desk looked at the blanket and immediately threw it away. I would imagine that the bedspread was also thrown out later on, I hope. But it wasn't all bad. The bathroom was very nice, and new looking. As was the sink area outside the bathroom. It looked new. The T. V. Was also nice and large. It was just very hard to get past the dirty bedding. If a cleaning person throws bedding like that on a bed when they clean a room, it just makes one wonder about the cleanliness of the sheets and pillowcases.

I stayed here for about 5 nights. The walls are paper thin. The first morning I stayed here one of the truckers was swearing at the top of his lungs right next door first thing in the morning. You can literally hear every conversation going on. 3 out of the 5 days my room was filled with the Marijuana smell as well as cigarettes. Because the room key didn't work after a certain time every single day I had to head to the front desk to get a new key.

Where to start. Cancelation doesn't happen after six pm. You will have to pay for Wi-Fi. Apparently front desk help doesnt know how to book a reservation. Finally get there and they not only ask for ID thats obviously reasonable but they want vehicle liscense plates emails adresses mostly needing my vehicle threa me off. Why?. Come to find out parking lot has no camras like nice to know anything valuable in your car probably isn't safe. Thats not even the worst as incompetent staff. Finnaly after all papers where signed and over with after going out to the car three times for liscence plates and IDs and whatever else they needed just to check in. My husband and I walk to the room and in the walkway to our room is a pair of children's pink panties a dirty sock and what looks like shoved in the corner either a burnt as in drugs or soiled poo towl! Absolutely the trashiest motel six I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. The shower towls that where in the room where white and dingy with stains of god knows what! And the shower wasnt clean either with Brown drips from not being cleaned! Completly disapointed. As a female I can only imagine drug users and rapist stay here.

My wife left some jewelry in the room, didn't realize until we were two hours away. Called and the manager (Doris) found them and sent them back to us in the mail. Thank you so much :)

Clean room. The hardwood floors are nice touch instead of carpet. Desk help polite and friendly. Great price. Lots of things nearby.

Room smells like smoke, high amount of traffic noise, beds are not long enough.

Granted, I picked a cheap place to lay my head as I traveled through and wanted to be off the road on New Year's Eve. So I didn't expect a lot of bells 'n whistles. But from the nearly toothless, brusque receptionist at the front desk to the vehicle parked outside my window packed full of food, garbage and bedding, the strange men who kept asking if I had cigarettes every time I stepped out of my room, and the foot traffic to a certain truck parked in a corner of the lot all night long — — I was concerned for my safety. Keep a wide berth. There is another motel 6 for the same price in the southern part of town. This location felt a little remote and creepy.

DO NOT USE THIS MOTEL! If you are not used to noise, drugs, prostitution, police being called then I HIGHLY suggest that you avoid this motel. I was woke up 3 times by police knocking on a adjacent room around 4am in the morning with a man being arrested. The police had to draw weapons; this is totally UNSAFE! Rumors by relatives that live in the area state that this hotel has been in the news for drugs and prostitution for the past year and a half. The bed was old and worn and it effected my sleep. There was no hairdryer, no clock and no iron/iron board. The shower head was low (about 5"4') when I am 5"9' and the towels were worn and small. It took two of them to dry my body after a shower.

Dependably clean and no frills with a setup that'll remind you of any other motel 6s you may have visited, including the standard old school television set. Relatively quiet, but being right of I-5, there is a hint of highway noise. They allow pets which is great.

I arrived fairly late and had to stand in freezing November weather because they don't believe in closing the door I guess. I requested a nonsmoking room but when I opened the door I was blasted with pot smoke. Certain my dog got high. After a 12 hour drive I was not amused. As a single woman passing through, I did not feel safe. I'll not be staying here again. Thanks for accepting my dog, but no thanks.
