Very friendly and helpful reception person. Room clean and spacious (and quiet). Would have been nice to have a small refrigerator to use. Plentiful electric wall sockets to use/charge-up my various electronic gadgets.

It was a one night stay. We got in late, left early the next morning. Not much time really. Bed was hard as a rock, room was decently furnished. I think I had asked for a non smoking room and it may have been as I didn't smell smoke odor, but bed spread was full of cigarette holes, bathtub had cigarette burns on it. Only issue we had was we had two towels, and two hand towels, but no wash cloths in the room. Minor issue. Overall it was what I would expect from a low end Motel 6, but I paid a big price for a Summer, Friday night, so I was hoping for more.

I'm giving 3 stars because the three ladies I interacted with at the front desk were wonderful. I too have worked at a Motel 6 so I've been in their shoes. The quality of the rooms and sheets were horrid. The room stank of cigarette smoke and the blankets had cigarette burns in them, and yes I asked for new ones, but they ended up being worse than the first. The housekeeping attendant I asked for replacements from said "cant guarantee these will be any better". Its sad to know you work in an environment where you know things aren't great. The door on my room got stuck at one point and I had to struggle to get out. My friend had to go down and get her room key redone 3 times, and then once she got in the room the door couldn't close as the lock was stuck out. This building needs some TLC and small things like new sheets and blankets.

I have stayed at this motel for many years. This year my room was in better condition than in years past and the check in procedure was smoother. No problems at all where I have had cleaning issues in the past and I wondered f there was new management in place. If so, good job on the improvements.

It looked like the hotel had tried to make the bathtub unusable as a tub (though still usable as a shower) : the lever to block the drain in order to fill the tub had been removed, and no drain stopper was provided. I was able to make it work by cramming a wash cloth in the drain, but still… Also, while in that tub the hotel phone rang. After walking (dripping) across the floor to reach it, no one was on the other end. I assume it was a mistaken wake-up call, which would be ironic because I actually didn't get my 5:10 wake-up call the next morning. But hey, the prices are cheap.

Room with bed. You can't say positives any more than that. The motel is located directly on a busy road. Windows and doors are no help in search of rest. Our bed could also have been set up in the parking lot … Won't have been louder. The craftsmanship of the caretakers is expandable, never seen so much silicone in places without need. Something crawled on the ceiling …

Price was unexpectedly high in our Motel 6 experience. Numerous unsavory-looking characters were on the grounds at all times when we were observing, from arrival to coming and going to/from our room, to departure. This combined with higher than expected price was incongruous. Is Motel 6 now catering to voucher-based short term housing for parolees/probationers? The room next to us was occupied by persons with one very young child who was crying inconsolably and sounded unattended at 3 to 3:30 a. M. Even the nearby highway noise was not as disruptive to a quiet night sleep as was the child's crying without adult calming in the middle of the night. It literally went on unabated for a solid half hour. As seniors we would have appreciated being told of the proximity of the young child and offered another room location when we checked in. Additionally, if the family checked in after us the staff should have placed them in another location. We introduced ourselves as seniors and stated our preference for a quiet room on top floor away from stairs or vending machines. This was a complete lack of consideration by staff for senior guests. The room appeared clean on arrival. However, when we took off socks and walked barefoot from the bed into the shower, a distance of only 10 feet, we noticed that our feet were very dirty from contact with the floor, leaving black dirt as well as hair in the shower. This was not clean.

For a Motel 6, I was quite satisfied. Rooms were updated and the staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price, I would definitely stay there again.

No microwave, refrigerator, ect. Laundry room is on site and coffee available in the a. M. The location is great for fast food, gambling (card parlor close), and convenient for highway 101/46 break between at leastmajor cities. Smoking and non-smoking rooms available. Swimming pool is on site.

We stayed at the Motel 6 in Paso Robles on Black Oak Drive. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there's food and groceries in a short walking distance, and it was central to many local tourist spots. Also within 35 minutes of several beaches. Overall good stay :)

The front office staff was very nice and upbeat. It is nice to walk into a reception area and feel like the person behind the counter is actually happy to see you. The room was typical for Motel 6, sparse but clean. One of the comforters should be replaced since it had burn holes in it (even though it was a none smoking room). The only complaint I have is that the shower did not work properly and water pressure was very low.

Pubic hair and urine covering the toilet. Shower head is designed to wash the head of someone maybe 4ft tall, sheets smelled like they haven’t been washed in years. TV and A/C unit worked fine though.

The room 151 smelt like cigarettes that worsened when you moved around the stained bed with pubic hairs and women's long hair was. The pillow cases were stained with drool or old make up. The bathtub had a ton of pubic hair in it. Very visible dirt and grime and purple stains Every corner of the room had gunk and dust in it. I woke up sick and smelling like a dirty hooker. I would never stay here again. Even if it was free.

We were staying in 3 differant Motels 6 locations on a bicycle trip. Wanting to leave our car at the first. We were refused on this request but the location had plenty of parking including spots taken by old trailers left there for many months from the dirt around them. It would have been nice if Motel 6 would have accommodated this request. We were booked at Motel 6 for the entire time in multiple citys.

Attended the Western Bonanza event and stayed at M6. The thermostat was broken. It was freezing in the room. Was able to move to another room, but the room itself was dirty. It looked like there were blood stains on the walls, the surfaces were very dirty as well. The smoke detector was missing. It made for a very worrisome, weekend stay. I stay at M6 for convenience and it's extremely economical. However, safety and comfort should also be taken seriously.

We stayed at this location last year for a Firestone event and loved the experience! Which is why we chose to stay here again. Unfortunately, since then our first room (a non-smoking room) reeked of cigarettes, one of the pillows was stained and had a body odor, there was hair on the bathroom walls (not the tub walls), and several cigarette burns on the top sheet. We experienced none of these issues from our last stay. After these discoveries we complained about the conditions and asked for a different room. The front desk attendant was very polite, apologetic and understanding of our situation and gave us a new room along with an explanation of why there are burns in the comforters, but no explanation for the other issues. The most disappointing thing about this whole experience was that our stay last year was delightful. Yes, we did receive assistance and our request was met, however the second room was still not up to last year's standards.

My company pays for the room but for an individual I would rather save the 70 bucks and sleep in the car. Why is this 20 more than the motel 6 in Sacramento? Paso Robles is way smaller. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner, ice, and clean linens/blanket You will need to supply your own. You might want to bring cleaning supplies too. No fridge or microwave, not even in the lobby. Worst place I've ever stayed and I stay in 2 or 3 different hotels a week.

The service from everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The room had bits of paint or something like drywall scattered on the floor that had not been vacuumed up. The beds and bathroom seemed otherwise clean and fresh. For the price, we were satisfied and will likely return!

Great that we could have our dog. Never received the extra pillows I requested. When I called office to inquire where ice machine was located they didn't bother to tell us it wasn't working. Besides that all okay. Front office staff very friendly. Stayed because of location.

It would have been nice if there was an elevator at the Motel. There are acres of Handicapped Parking available but no elevator, or none that I saw. Very few stairways available. Rooms are dated. Additional fee for a Refrigerator and microwave. Refrigerator didn't work. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

We're not happy with our stay this time. The shower didn't work properly. It was either all hot or all cold… there was no warm water so we both ended up taking cold showers. In addition, the smoke detector was hanging open with no battery. For 160.00 per night, I'd expect the standards to be up there with some of the other hotel chains in the area. We stay at Motel 6 almost exclusively because we have a dog. Usually they are safe, clean and well taken care of. This one was definitely the exception and I'm hoping it was a fluke…

I wasn't happy that after I had called and confirmed a room with my credit card that after driving 20 miles in about 30 minutes I had to pay $20 more for the room than I thought I was being charged. I found out at check-in that my credit card confirmation was only a guaranteed room and not a room purchase. When I provide my credit card I expect that it is a purchase at the price I was told before providing my credit card especial since the Motel 6 phone representative said that it was not refundable and do I confirm that I understand that. The Motel 6 phone representative did not say that I was only reserving a room.

Customer service was great and amazing by Maria and the other young lady at the front office. They where quick at checking me in and where both very helpful and professional. Angie is a great housekeeper always leaves the room very clean and is always helpful when I ask for new towels. Overall great team work Paso Robles Motel 6…

The room was clean. Good location. Suggestion:::: Please use less room air freshener. We stayed in the room two days. By the second day, the room was aired out enough to be comfortable.

Arrived and was told room was not ready, needed approx 1/2hr-45min. For room, they did have another room available. Stated that would be ok, but needed quite area away from ice machine or lots of noise. Got keys went around and had room in front of stairs. All night traffic. Shower head dirty with caked lime deposit. Bathroom could be much cleaner. Blanket with black marks on it. Towels very rough. Ice machine sometimes worked.

This motel 6 is next to a very loud freeway. It was an incredibly restless night of sleep. I canceled my second night there and chose another hotel. The front desk representative was very understanding and accommodating. And Motel 6 may not be able to control the external level of sound, but they can try and accommodate guests with double pane windows and a thicker structure. It is after all, essentially, a place to sleep. I was not able to do that in this room.

Great place for pets! All rooms pet friendly and no carpets in room and no extra pet fees. Recently updated and pretty clean. Best budget hotel for traveling with pets we've run into!

The check in was fast, I received the room location I had requested. The first room I was given was a big disappointment. It smelled like marijuana which I realize the hotel has no control over this. My request was for a non smoking room. Although it smelled bad I was going to ride it out, then I looked on the floor. It had not been mopped or swept. There was smoke shake on the floor, small trash and black shoe marks. The bed spread on both beds were old, ready for replacement. The bath tub had white marks all over the faucet as if it had not been clean for a while. The walls were yellow, and the vents filled with build up. After speaking to front desk and having housekeeping come over and do the floor l decided l would change rooms anyway. The assistant manager assigned me to a different room same floor. The new room had a much better smell. Floor was much cleaner as well as the bathroom not so old looking. The bed spread on one of the beds was stained with a wet mark but it was doable. Overall, I think its a good idea the rooms get inspected periodically so that if housekeeping is not doing a good job the hotel management can address, because to have to pay a steep price almost $200.00 per night and to receive a room that was not swept or mopped is unacceptable.

Always polite and respectful. Very Clean and welcoming. Good Wifi connection and convenient outlets. Close to restruants and stores and highway access. Onsite laundry facilities were helpful and 24 hour service. Very affordable prices. Thanks Motel 6 or keeping my family safe for a night.

The room was filthy. The floor was really dirty. The sheets and comforters all had many stains on them. The bathroom door did not close and was stuck. The sink did not drain. They gave 5 towels. 2 had dirt and stains on them, 1 had a spider in it. 4th one was good, I didn't bother checking the fifth. It was $90 for dirt and filth.

Not worth the $$$, decent rooms, but bed was uncomfortable, said queen but felt like full. Air conditioner not work well. We had to ask for towels. It was stocked with 3 hand towels and only 1 bath towel for 2 people. No coffee, iron, or blow dryer in rooms, had to go to office if you wanted coffee. Neighborhood was quiet. Felt for the price it should of had better ammenities.

I stayed at this motel because it was closest to my neices wedding venue, after reading all the bad reviews came prepared, I was quite surprised how clean the property and my room was clean quite, front desk nice, the towel are thin, but ok, I brought my own, someone said free coffee in lobby, I brought my own 4 cup pot. I would stay again.

This had to be one of the worst rooms/experiences I've had (not just with Motel 6 because I have had some nice stays). Our reservation was not held; so we were stuck with a smoking room; we had called to confirm and the front desk said no problem, our room (non-smoking) would be there for us. We had no time to go somewhere else though so we thought we'd stick it out. Dirty, sticky floors; broken thermostat, so all we could do was run the fan to try to air the room out; filthy bathroom with cigarette burns across the tub, and a wobbly toilet; stained towels and bed spreads; wall sconces that were full of dead bugs. The only compensation the front desk offered was free Wi-Fi; wow, a whole $2.99 off the room. Hopefully, corporate will take note of this location — things can only get better here. Maybe other rooms were OK; but our experience was something I hope never to have to go through again.

Room was not prepared for us when we checked in at 3:30. We had to wait 20 minutes for housekeeping to make up the room. Housekeeping left the floor wet throughout. The Wifi service never worked correctly and was very slow. We paid for the premium service and it never was premium. Both entry cards stopped working and had to be reset. The bathroom was not clean.

A good night's sleep, friendly staff and a strong shower, could have been a little neater — sheets were wrinkled with some old smash stains. At the time it was by far the cheapest hotel in the area but even then still 150 all Inc.

Room was nothing fancy, but everything was immaculate. I'll take clean over fancy any day. I requested an upstairs quiet room and that's what we were given. We would definitely stay there again.

Price okay for the area, but pretty gross. Dirty speckled fluid all over the toilet seat. Non smoking room had a rich odor of burn and BO. Cover sheet on bed was disgusting: way beyond the acceptable level of burn holes and stains. The sink backed up with a bunch of nasty water. All fixtures were broken or falling off or nearly falling off. I was able to survive here for one night with my own pillows and the window open to let in fresh air. Oh and did I mention there's a rooster crowing outside? Avoid at all costs.

Had a great stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Just miss a coffee pot in the room. Otherwise it's well worth the price.

Exactly what you would expect from a Motel 6. It's nothing fancy but it was clean and functional. While I wouldn't encourage you to stay here over other place in Paso Robles it is OK if everything else is booked or crazy expensive which is what we found.

Room was clean and nice but walk in the rest room and it looks like the maids do a quick job there was boxers from last people hung up behind door on a hanger and used wash cloth hing on shower head ummm not cool.

Our room was second floor around corner from the office It was nicely updated and modern though comfortable it was not what you would call luxurious but this is a Motel 6 right? Foot traffic going by the room and up and down stairs was very loud, not the people themselves just that any noise seemed to amplify and echo in the room. My biggest complaint was the bathroom. Which was a little beat up and dingy, and there were hairs on the tub. The office staff was very nice and friendly. Overall it was fair. I might stay another night but would look at other hotels in the area first.

The room itself was very clean, updated and had comfortable beds. Unfortunately, I didn't realize it was so close to the highway, and we ended up with a room facing the highway. With that being said, it made for a very noisy night. Additionally, in the middle of the night, there were some rowdy guests that decided to take their party outside to the parking lot directly in front of our room. This isn't anything the property could have prevented, but definitely didn't help with the traffic noise already affecting our sleep. If I were to stay there again, I would ask for a room on the opposite side of the building. The staff themselves were very nice, calling our room after check in to make sure everything was good. Easy check in and check out. One other thing I wish I had known was that you have to pay for the Wi-Fi, and it was very slow, most times we weren't able to connect. In the end, we were only there for one night, which was fine for the price. It is close to several fast food locations and restaurants and made for an easy route out of the city.

I've never stayed at a Motel 6. This motel is not bad. My overall experiance hear was good. Aside from no ironing board, the room was nice and clean. The staff was friendley. For the class of motel, you get what you pay for. I usually stay in higher class hotel, but since it was a festival wknd, we had little available choice In a pinch I would stay hear again. For people who write really negative reviews, its usually you who contributs to your negative experiance.

Very Basic, very clean, comfortable.

The clerk was very friendly despite being very busy, doing his best to speed through multiple check-ins while answering the phones. Management could probably do better to have more than one staff member in the office on a Friday night. The room was small, but clean and had a modern feel to it. The only complaint is that the sound of running water was very loud whenever a toilet flushed in a nearby room. Not a bad place to stop for the night.

I travel with my dog for Search and Rescue trainings so my choice of hotels is limited. I have stayed at many Motel 6 hotels in California and Arizona because I have my dogs with me and can be sure that they are always welcome. The front desk was friendly and polite and check-in was quick. I was able to park directly in front of my downstairs room (which I think they gave me because I wrote in that I was traveling with my dog. ) This is good as I have the dog and equipment to unload and load. The room was clean, the bedding smelled very faintly of bleach which was great with me. I have a memory foam bed at home, but this bed was reasonably comfortable. The shower pressure was awesome! I didn't want to get out, it was like a massage. Lights, TV, remote, phone, and wake up call all worked. My cell phone said I had Wi-Fi from Motel 6 but I didn't pay for it. There is a lot of road noise as it is beside the 101, but that became background noise. The other patrons were quiet and there were no issues with them. I would have expected a clock in the room so was disappointed there. No niceties like kleenix, shampoo, lotion and the like. Just the basics: clean towels, little bars of soap, and 2 trash cans. There was a vending area with two ice machines. It seemed that one had whole cubes while the other had crushed ice. I found this out by trail and error as they were not marked.
