Review of Bestway Inn 2*

Cleanliness: Room was overall clean. I have been working for Marriott for 11 years so cleanliness at this Inn was okay. They could do some detail cleaning as I noticed the bathroom sink, toilet, and shower had built up grime and rings. Bedsheets were clean. No sign of bed bugs or random strands of hair. Landscaping was nice and it was pleasant to sit outside. They had a rocking swing and chairs which was enjoyable and relaxing! Clean property overall. Customer Service: Family owned. Not as friendly when I checked in, called the front desk, when I walked around the property, and at check out. Not too many smiles from the staff; just blank stares. Made me feel uncomfortable. I had 3 small dogs with me and ever since I informed them, they were watching me and the room like a hawk. I felt like they disabled my room keys on purpose just so I can go to the front desk so they can tell me my dogs were barking in the room. I understand they don't want damage done to their room, but it was an uncomfortable feeling. I paid the fee ($10 per dog, per night) so let me enjoy my time there with my dogs. Room Rate: Paid $203 including tax for a Non-Smoking Queen ($165 + tax). Kind of expensive especially in the area they are located in. Location: Not much to do or see on that street. Across the street there is a bowling alley. They played DJ music and it seemed like the locals would go there. I do recommend eating at the Mexican Restaurant a block or two away from the Inn. Don't know the name but if you're looking at the Inn, it's to the right side. Week days their rates are $65! If I had no other choice I would stay there since they are somewhat pet friendly and their rooms were clean. But if I had another option, I would stay at the other place. Customer service just really turned me off.
