This place is great! A diamond in the rough for sure! It was kind of unexpected. So much space, so many neat things to check out. The staff are super friendly and willing to help you. Speaking of which, Thank you guys for being attentive to my needs and making the stay here super comfortable! Keep up the good work! I think there are 10 pools over about an acre of land with multiple rock features and waterfalls. They have rooms with full kitchens and 24 hour access to the pools, which rocks! It seems as if it's a work in progress. I can't wait to see the final masterpiece!

We have been coming here for years, they have the most wonderful mineral water for your skin. We stayed with them last memorial weekend and we had the most amazing time. It’s the perfect place to have a safe intimate vacation with your family, friends or couples. The staff is very helpful and was so accommodating. I highly recommend staying with them. They also have made such great improvements with the entire area, remodeled rooms and much more. Our experience last visit was so wonderful, we will be staying with them again shortly and much more often. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

It looked cool overall but they removed a lot of things. First, there used to be a statue in one of the jacuzzis but now it's been moved to the side. And there used to be a shower in that same jacuzzi but it's also been removed. Second birds and the other animals that used to be there have been removed as well. Third, more parts have been added to the hotel, and as much as it gives more rooms and pools, most of the back trail that used to hold a lot of nature and wildlife has been removed in the process.

If you like fresh air, many pools and jacuzzi with REAL mineral water, with a lot of space surrounded by different plants, choose only Sahara spa and resort. In the past there was issues with cleanliness but it has significantly improved. When you visit the Sahara, you will see a completely new spa that is clean and organized. It's under new ownership with Zina, and one of the best managers, Ella. Both are professional, friendly, and very hospitable. They turned this place into a real oasis! -The very loyal lover of Sahara, Galina Zhuraleva.

My stay here at Sahara Hotel & Spa has been my best experience yet at any hotel I've been to. It is currently under new management and construction and everyone is very professional and helpful. The pools and jacuzzi were very relaxing and peaceful. If your ever in hot desert springs area or just want to get away, this is the place to go. My family really enjoyed our stay here and we will definitely be coming back!

Best place to start here is with bulldozer! probably less expensive than trying to get some life back into this place. It needs new everything. Doors, windows, most of the windows in my room were plexiglass and even they were cracked! even the front door broken-your first impression… some windows had plexiglass screwed over them without fitting into a frame. The 2 lamps in my room had both bulbs burned out. There was a shortage of towels. No washcloths. And I could go on and on and on. This is a city of spas. There are so many more to try before ever coming back to this one. I don't understand how it has received even a"1" rating? I would give it a minus ten!

New owners are very nice. Been coming for 30 years. Place is being renovated so it's not perfect. The pools are great. Each has different temps from hot to medium to cool. The facility is a major improvement from the previous owner but still needs work. I'll continue to come.

You have to see it to believe it. My boy and I come to the desert every weekend and so we have stayed at almost every hotel there is. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The woman at the front desk ZINA is awesome she made sure to accommodate all my need especially early check-in. It's very quiet hear and great place for family to stay. This has more of a home feel then a hotel. We can't wait to return I've finally found my home away from home.

The new owners are definitely fixing up the place… it's not the Ritz carlton… yet! But the quality of the chlorine free water here makes it my first choice when visiting dhs. Feels private, like escaping to a tropical oasis In the desert… the grotto with hot waterfalls is truly one of a kind… like disneyland! Come for the good water, and friendly staff… wydah? Is awesome, always helpful!

Checked in with my family and the staff was unacknowledged but still friendly. Showed us to the room (which I did look at on line) and when we opened the door my family and I gasped. The man left we walked in and started looking around and all I could think was Bates Motel old and creepy. The room looked like it was an apartment. It was so run down even my 11 year son was uncomfortable. Their was a bed room with 2 queen size beds and one had dead flies on it. The light in the kitchen area had trash or debris in it, it looked nothing like it did in the pictures. I felt so bad my family was going to have to sleep here. After debating to take a loss on how expensive the room was and just leave we all walked to the office to complain and see about a new room like in the picture. The lady called her manager and took us to a different one. Now the new room was closer to the one in the picture but it still needed help. Windows had no locks but at least my family felt a little more comfortable. Over won't ever be coming back.

The owner is very nice and has a kind heart the place is great and lots to do wish I would of found this place sooner.

If a sweet, simple soak in some of the best mineral spring water around is what you're looking for, the Sahara is it. Low chlorine and multiple pools ranging from cool to very hot, indoor and outdoor, and $15/day use this is a sweet little gem. I try to get here once a week or so to recharge in the healing water.

Not sure where to start … This hotel or motel. Not sure what to call it doesn’t even deserve half of a star, as soon as we walked in there where wires hanging out broken glass on the floor, damaged window screens. Lady at the front was unnecessarily rude, when she walked us to our room we passed by a closet of some sort filled with junk (old beds, trash etc) all piled up. Someone obviously attempted to cover it but they didn’t succeed. Absolutely disgusting. We passed the pools which where filthy and there was a bunch of trash around couldn’t get to our room without stepping on glass. Pool wasn’t even filled up all the way, tons of trash in the pool not sure if it was safe to swim in… pool lights where literally floating around in the pool. Beds where hard as a rock and chairs had nasty stains, barley felt comfortable leaving our luggage there, and I didn’t even stay the night … I decided to check out later that night and stayed at a much nicer hotel. I am telling you right now do NOT stay at this dump of a hotel you will regret it 100%. This place shouldn’t be open! Very disappointed.

I had a great time. This place was remodeled beautiful and has a whole new feel to it. My girl and I loved the place!

We were there for New Years and the new owners are working very hard to turn the place around from the previous owner that let it go. The service and staff are awesome. Family friendly plus the pools, sauna, and Jacuzzi are great and relaxing. We will definitely be coming back as often as we can. The drive from Orange County is worth it. Estuvimos alli para año nuevo. Fue muy divertido. Las nuevas dueñas están haciendo todo lo posible por levantar el lugar después que la dueña anterior lo descuido demasiado. Las piscinas, sauna, y jacuzzi son muy relajantes. Bonito lugar familiar también. Regresaremos lo más posible. Vale la pena la manejada de Orange County.

Under the new management this place is amazing you really turned this place upside down. This is the best place to relax enjoy and fun. Thank you! I had beautiful and amazing time!

Zena is wonderful. Lordis is a delite. The staff are very helpful. I've been here twice and I'll come again.

Great place, I was here last week with my family and we had a great time, The New Management of this place have really changed a lot of things, Everything is super clean, The water was Amazing! It was cleaner then the water in Hawaii I give this place up to 1 year to be # ☝

Went here with my family, was a nice experience. The place is under new ownership (was told since July) so their still remodeling and trying to fix things. My room had toilet issues (family friends toliets were working maybe hit or miss as of right now) so we used the public ones which was fine. Other then that every thing was great about the rooms, great AC, good room size, good beds and pillows, a microwave, decent Wi-Fi, and a stove (not sure if it works had tinfoil on it). Room 3.5/5 Now the reason why I loved this place was the pools. They had 3 hot saunas, one was indoors, and 2 pools (one had a depth or 3-9 feet, the other 3-4-3) the saunas were blissful (natural mineral water) and left my skin feeling really soft, and the same with pools (the pool water isn't cold, it was pleasantly warm so no I had fear of just jumping in at any time) they also had showers with mineral water which also left me refreshed. Pool and sauna experience 5/5 I expect this place to get a lot better as time goes on since there are still big areas that haven't been renovated and still have empty pools. They also have a snack bar, didn't try it (on a diet) but I saw ramen, big chip bags, coffee, and etc.

Sahara motel is my favorite hot springs in DHS. We go weekly for day use to these incredible pools. There are a least 2 large swimming pools and a few hot ones too. The owner is really putting a lot of work into the place, so if you have not been there this year, you will notice that its improved. We always feel so good at the end of our visit, from these mineral pools. Usually there is very little chemicals in pools, but they keep them very clean! P. S. (we tried miracle springs and desert hot springs spa hotel, and those were heavily chemical treated and my skin always felt dried out. we are very happy going there for day use. We are local so we never stayed over night.

I liked the pool and the services. Just wish do little bit remodeling and cleaning the room : (you get what you pay. Oh… the water is really gooooood. Make my skin soooooo soft!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Manager Was Disrespectful And Drunk! OPENED THE DOOR WITH SPARE KEY! Yelled at me, And my family to get out, AND LOCKED OUR DOOR WITH OUR BELONGINGS INSIDE (Good Thing Was I Took The Key, She Had Given Us) SHE IS CRAZY! AND A DRUNK! Did Not Remember What We Spoke About. This is not a "family friendly" place! The A/C was HOT! Especially for a 2 month baby! Switched rooms, after HOURS! Bathroom door knob broken, shower water is gross, spiders, dust, no toilet paper, or towels, oh and the grill's didn't work. Really? This is just a terrible place. Channels are Chinese, Korean or whatever, the Wi-Fi didnt even work!? This place should be shut down! One of the employers had notified the manager that a pool was "green, and stinky" {SHE DID NOT CARE}. I wish I had read the reviews before I spent $160.00 on this dump, for a couple of hours!? She refused to refund our money, and clearly this was not the first time. Zero stars! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Please { DO (! NOT! ) } Waist Your Time And Money. This Was The Worst Experience I Ever Had And I Assure You, You Will Regret It! Also I will be calling a health inspector, this place is not a clean environment WHAT-SO-EVER. There really is nothing good to say about this place. It Does not deserve to be called a 3-star hotel.

This Is The WORSTT PLACE I Have Ever Been Too Trust Me On What I Say THE DU** B**** WHO RUNS THE PLACE IS A THIEF! I Came Here To Rent A Hotel Overnight She Charged Me $160, The Place Was a Complete Dump. We stayed there with No A/C, And When Night Time Came Along She Told Us To Leave For No Reason, She Said We Payed $160 For A Day Spa (Getting A Disgusting Room Only During The Day For $160.00). She Said She Charged Me Cheap Because It Was A Day Spa That She Charges 245+ Per Night For TWO PPL. We Got Into An Arguement The Dum** B***** Was Completley Drunk Drinking In The Office With A Ciggaret INFRONT OF MY SON She Then Later Walked Away And Opened Up The Door To The Room I Was Booking And Told My Family To GET OUT Got Into An Arguement With My Girl SHE ALMOST HIT HER SHE PUT HER FINGER ON HER FORHEAD Cussed At Her And When We Walked Out She Locked The Room With All Our Stuff Inside, Fortunatley For Us My Girl Had The Spare Key & Opened The Door Back Up To Get Our Stuff Tried Reasoning With Her THERE IS NO WAYY WITH THIS OLD KOREAN B*****, SHE IS A COMPLETE THIEF. Very violant and drunkk. Would not refund any of our money and completely kicked us out when we payed full price $160 I could have been somewhere better for less money. Place is a dumb and not for cheap charges like its a 5 star hotel in beverly hills. She Just Drinks In Her Office THATS IT. Payed $160 to get kicked out and use the room for 3 hours with no a/c on 108 degree weather with a newborn.

This place is very dirty and insecure, very unpleasant the rooms. I went out practically disappointed. I do not recommend.

Hellasious experience! This is by far the worst place in the planet. In fact I'm going to sue this establishment for false advertisement along with damages. Make me waste my time on a holiday weekend on my daughters birthday to even entertain the idea of staying at this hell hole. The pools are molded and corroded the rooms are disgusting. I would not expect my dogs fleas (if they had any) to stay in these rooms. The staff is rude and the place smells like dead fish. The property it's self is run down and over come with trash bugs and vermin. To top it off code enforcement was there for a stack of violations. My suggestion… stay far far away. Until I own this place anyway cause I'm going to sue these people and their going to wish they would have simply refunded my money they stole from me. Easier to refund my money then have me as your future nightmare believe that… they' lol learn the hard way apparently.

Pool and spas were fine. Establishment needs major renovations as it was very old and unmaintained. Cleanliness was unacceptable as rooms were dirty, smelled, furniture was majorly outdated, and the ambiance felt uncomfortable. Flies could have been taken care of in some ways, there were roaches and other insects spotted in the room, and there were at least 6 cats roaming the premises; I am very allergic to cats.

OMG… Disappointing, disappointing, disappointing. This hotel was rated at a 2.8 we I booked the room. The rooms are in bad shape something out of the 1950's. Broken windows, plumbing issues, dirty floors, broken air conditioners the cable 5 channels and all Asian channels. Go elsewhere, for 10/20 extra dollars you can get a beautiful room in palm springs, and the surrounding areas. I would rate this experience. 60 the pools and hot tubs are great. I will never return!

What a dump and a crazy beeeootch owner. I booked this dump weeks ago on hotwire and paid online and she refused to give me my room. She tried to make me pay her and get a refund from hotwire! She argued with me and yelled at hotwire on the phone for giving me the rate I got. Ended up staying somewhere else. Way better. Is this dump zero stars if I could.

I love the swimming pools and the hot tubs there. However, I don't like the showers because they're empty. Also, it's so loud. But, it's still a nice place.

I luv this place greats pools, warm, had a microwave in the room as well as a stove and over and a fridge. The room was a little dusty and the beds were a little Rocky but over all it was the greatest motel ever. The rooms are a little "un-orthodox", but the amazing waters and sights were great & a sauna.

Stayed here for a few nights and it was a terrible experience! The rooms are disgusting, old and have lots of bugs around. The owner gave us a different rate when we called and when we came all of a sudden the rate went up. She also got completely drunk in the evenings to the point of passing out in her office. When we went to check out and ask some questions, she was visibly intoxicated and screamed at us to leave the office as she was sitting inside a room in the office half passed out with an empty bottle on the ground next to her. I tried asking for a receipt several times, but she screamed again and eventually just passed out while we were still in the office. This was around 8:00pm. There have been lots of health related violations that have occurred in this place as well. I really hope they get shut down soon. Save your money, they are not even that cheap! Choose one of the many alternate hotels/motels in the area.

My cousin stayed with her 3 kids emergency situation they put her in The back by herself look like almost sheed. Horrible service owners get drunk and doesn't even remember you rented there. Ac was broke for about the whole 12 days she was there. Pools are nasty take one look you can see there dirty as heck. No wonder dhs has a bad name like business like this that should be exotic for the springs more like a high priced old people porn hotel.
