Great relaxation opportunity.

We have been coming to Vino Bello since they first opened. This time we were in the Chardonnay Building. When we walked in, the room smelled like cigarettes. Called the front desk and they sent housekeeping to spray perfume. We were only staying 2 nights so OK we didn't make a fuss. Around 845pm, the ceiling in the foyer started leaking. Called front desk, no answer. Called Concierge, the lady said she will send maintenance. 10 minutes later, the light bulb in the kitchen started leaking as well. Called front desk, still no answer. Call concierge and she said she will let the front desk manager know. Waited 15 minutes and my husband went to the front desk and the front desk manager said she knows nothing about our issues. My husband showed her the videos of the leaking ceilings and she said since Vino Bello is full, she will move us to a room in Meritage. On Sunday before we checked out, I noticed that there was a pending charge of $1700+ on my credit card from Meritage. Spoke with Front Desk Manager Kristy and she said no problem, we are reversing it right now. There will be no charge to our credit card. A few days later, there was a charge to our credit card for $1700. Called Meritage, no manager or accounting is available. Called again, left messages for manager and accounting. Accounting called back but told me there's nothing she can do. Transferred me to manager and I left another message. So far, no callbacks.

Great experience and so close to downtown and the wineries!

Great weather, nice swimming pools for the kids.

The place has an ambience. Very clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and accomodating.

The rooms are spacious come fully equipped with appliances.
The maid service was good, Whenever you needed anything, their there to help.
Love the restaurant, grocery store and especially the wineries there.
The pool area, bowling alley, bakery.
Overall just a good Resort.

Vino Bello is a nice getaway for scenic views of Napa’s vineyard and relaxing atmosphere.

It was a nice staycation, clean and nice view.

Beautiful peaceful setting away from home. Near enough to travel to for my brother recovering from surgery. Youngest sister made a delicious meal (brother is on a somewhat restricted diet) to celebrate his recovery and found all the pots, pans and dishes to make it. 5 adults very comfortable.

It beautiful place to go and enjoy all the events and many more.

It has the potential to be 4/5 ⭐️ resort. Their unwillingness to treat owners with respect & their consistent choice to split families into different suites on different floors &/or buildings is beyond ridiculous.

VB did not have communication and service 3.5 stars. The location is stunning. But they seem to be in some kind of transition which always results in problems. They are hard to contact. Slow to respond. Out of touch. The business center is Terrible. I could go on bi they could do a better job!
The staff is friendly Eli and personable but it ends there. N.

The rooms are beautiful and are equipped to cook in. Two pools and a great spa. They have a coffee shop, bar and a restaurant that has a bowling alley!

The suites at Vino Bello are spacious and very comfortable. The rooms have full kitchens, bathtubs large enough for two and showers that are big enough to walk around in. Our room came with a rather good complimentary bottle of wine. We also received a generous voucher toward a purchase at a local winery.

Not impressed for sure, definitely not a 4 Star Resort! Cons:
Front desk wasn’t friendly, room was not kept in good repair (leak under sink and general disrepair), the pool was not clean or skimmed, the hot tub was broken, food was extremely expensive, there wasn’t enough parking and the maid service forgot to do our room all together, but marked us as completed. … Pros:
Having the tasting rooms across the street and the shuttle to downtown Napa were the best parts. Summary:
I think it could be a nice resort, but they definitely need to improve training their staff and take better care of the property.

The resort itself is nice, but I did not find the rooms to be anything special. We stayed the following night in a chain hotel that was equally as nice. Also, beware if you are not an owner, they will try to schedule you for a presentation. The one hour presentation to ask you some "survey questions" will turn into a hour and a half experience. Was not worth the free gifts in my opinion. Plus, it just wasted vacation time. Staff we dealt with were friendly, polite and helpful.

This is the most Amazing Hotel I have ever stayed at. We had a 2 room stay. The door to our rooms opened up to a foyer that had 2 separate doors one to the left and one to the right to separate the rooms. Our room was to the right. The pictures are of our room. The guest/kids room had it's own double bed and a fold out couch bed, it's own mini kitchen, bathroom, little place to eat, dresser TV and it's own balcony. I did not take pictures of the guest room. The customer service was very good. They also helped us with ideas for our trip around Napa with kids. We also got 2 complimentary bottles of wine.

Very classy comfortable and Architectural design such that interaction with other guests is readily available, yeah if you wish to enjoy your stay in privacy it was easy to find wonderful peace and quiet. The view the atmosphere the location is exquisite, this complex of retreat and eloquent rooms is well worth a visit. I'd advise you to check in as early as possible before it's the kind of place 1 wishes they didn't have to leave.

Stayed a week here in the Merlot building. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, check-in/check-out was a breeze. The adult pool behind the Meritage had limited seating, but was very relaxing and had a great poolside menu. Parking on the resort can definitely be a challenge in the evening when everyone has returned to their rooms. During our stay here they were finishing construction an another building of theirs across the street, which our balcony was facing. This resulted in some unwanted noise in the morning.

Great rooms and suites. Well appointed and great service. Nice pools including an adult only pool with bar service. Several bars and restaurants on the premises. Would have given five stars if it wasn't for the long wait for room to be ready. Despite it being a busy weekend it is no excuse for it not to be ready and we waited for over an hour and a half. Staff should have been increased. Also front desk staff didn't call us when the room was ready even though they took my mobile phone number and said they would contact us.

I’ve been to VB now 4 times, and the poor customer service with the front desk was a first. When I checked in, granted I look like something that the cat dragged in due to having been sick for a week, but the woman insisted on calling my husband to make sure I had “permission” to use my timeshare (was there with my adult daughter. ). I called The Husband and said “Hi, the 50s are calling to ask if The Little Woman can use the timeshare! Very odd since I am an owner as well. … This morning when I called Housekeeping to let them know we didn’t use the whirlpool tub (to save gallons of water to clean it), I was connected to the front desk. I said I wanted to contact housekeeping. She said, with the flattest voice, “what do you need? ” I wish I hadn’t been tired or I would have replied “your manager. ” I love the Vino Bello/Meritage resort. Everyone and everything else was wonderful! Hope it is a training glitch, and not a hospitality slight towards Shell Owners.

Great resort to stay for Bottlerock. Regular shuttle service downtown, nice rooms, and friendly staff. Only issue during stay is our key cards stopped working a few times, but staff resolved the issue quickly each time. On sure amenities, including restaurant, coffee shop, and pool are convenient and a great way to relax before or after going downtown.

Great resort. We loved our room, the food was wonderful, and the staff was great. There is an adults only pool and a family friendly pool so depending on your preference, there is a spot to hang out. We had a great time playing bocci ball and bowling as well as driving around the Napa Valley sight seeing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Napa Valley is a beautiful place with lush green hills and valleys. Miles and miles of Vineyards on either side of the road. Friendly people all to ready to help. Vino Bello Resort is a beautiful resort. Family friendly with lots of space and amenities. It's a place where it's a joy to come to.

One of the best shell properties out there. It is great. The rooms are comfy. The pool area is well kept. One of the best parts is the location close enough to have some fun but far enough to be peaceful. You will also have a bottle of wine waiting in your room when you get there.

Didn't have the luxury to spend the night but spent the evening with my parents in their one bedroom. It was quite a spacious room. The best part was the two person shower with wall jets and the two person jacuzzi. Very refreshing and my kids loved it. The table was large enough for all 7 of us to have dinner. We had take out and enjoyed eating in the hotel. Really hoping to get to spend a weekend soon.

Lovely lovely place! The people who work here are friendly — and even when there was a slight hiccup they offered us some drink vouchers. The place was quiet on a Sunday night. The cave is super cute and the hot tub, hot!

A great resort in the Napa Valley, complete with everything and a cozy wine tasting room.
The only drawback is that the staff at the front desk don't speak foreign languages at most Spanish.
However it is a resort made proncipalmente for Americans, Italians are very rare visitors.

Beautiful big rooms. Friendly staff. A fun bowling alley in the bar. Five or six lanes. Nice landscaping. The cafe coffee could be better for the price. We stayed in a suite that was one large bedroom with a kitchenette large bathroom with sunken tub. The other room was a full kitchen, living room and master suite. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy.

Beautiful place. Stayed in a deluxe suite with a couch and bed. Tub could probably fit 3 people in it because it's so big. Needs bubbles though. Wonderful complementary wine and beautiful lighting. Laundry can be done in your own room!

This is a big box resort with a lot of amenities. The "big-chain" feel is balanced out by the kind staff. The rooms and facilities are very well maintained. My only complaint is the breakfast room service is WAY overpriced and underwhelming. My favorite person there is Donna, the wine educator at the front bar near the lobby. She is kind, knowledgeable and a great ambassador to the guests.

This is really nice place to stay and in convenient location especially if you want to see other sites around Napa valley. Parking can be an issue sometimes but you can take advantage of the free valet parking. They say parking will be much better in a year when the expansion project is completed. Looking forward to the new shops and other amenities included in the expansion.

The Vino Bello is a lovely resort. The rooms are updated and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This place is a time share so you will be asked to sit a presentation. Though they do reward you for attending. The parking situation is terrible if they have an event going on. Only reason it's not a 5 star.

Had a great time. Room service was good. Housekeeping was good. Shuttle was very convenient. Bar and staff were good. However after being asked three times and timeshare presentations you would have thought they would have got the hint.

Beautiful resort. Nice rooms and plenty of amenities. Be aware if you book through Airbnb, or an outside agency, they will hound and pressure you into a timeshare thing. Lots of promises, and pressure…

Upscale resort with many amenities. The one bedroom suites are the size of many apartments. Lots of construction in the area.

We stayed at the Vino Bello for 2 nights. We booked a two bedroom suite for 7 guests total. Our rooms were located in The Merlot building. The facility was beautiful. The attendants were more than helpful, getting towels for us for the pool and providing us a late checkout. The room was very spacious and were provided many complementary items making our stay more comfortable and convenient. We had room service for breakfast and were served more than enough food! The food wad akso very good. I definitely plan to make a trip back to explore the grounds and vineyards. Parking wad the biggest challenge. The lot was full every night.

Aloha! One of the very best properties from Shell Vacations. This is one of our favorite resorts. Can't ask for anything more. Plenty of pools and a bowling alley for the kids. Trinitas for wine tasting at the back. Loved it, didn't want to leave.

This is my second stay at the Vino Bello, and overall I love being here. That said, there were a couple of bumps this visit. Parking is definitely an issue, there just isn't enough. Also the management has decided that it's not necessary to put a top sheet on the beds. There's only a duvet, which I was assured is washed after each stay however if the duvet is too warm, then you're left with nothing to sleep under. I voiced my displeasure with the policy, we were provided with top sheets for our visit however this is hardly the place to be cutting corners or expenses, especially in light of the cost of ownership and the maintenance fees. I sincerely hope this decision is reviewed and changed quickly.

As a Shell Vacations Club Owner, I have to pay exorbitant maintenance fees and so when I use my points to stay at any of the resorts, I expect (most) things to be working properly. On my last stay, the jacuzzi didn't work and was cold. No sign or notice posted. Bathroom fan didn't work. My time spent at the resort was very limited on this last stay and I don't have time to wait around for maintenance people to come fix things when they should already be working in the first place. When I took the time to discuss these issues with Management, they were unwilling to give me any credit towards another night of stay at a future date (when hopefully things will be working). With all the travel site deals available online, it actually seems more expensive to have this Timeshare with their fees and Maintenance costs than just book a nice stay somewhere online and even get a package deal that includes flight, rental car, and room.

Lock on front door of room does not work. Hotel employee opened our door without knocking while I was changing. Tub, sinks, refrigerator, stove, dinning table, and the couch were all dirty, it looks like they just glanced at them during cleaning after last guests and didn't clean everything. Doorbell got rung at 10pm for no reason. Fan above the stove did not work. Not happy about the open patio, anyone can walk right up and sit on your patio if you're on the ground floor. No extra blanket for pull out bed in living room, just sheets and pillows. No cutting board in kitchen. Parking is a nightmare. Definitely not enough parking spots. Guests actually get aggressive over parking. We do not plan to stay here again.

This is by far my favorite resort to get away too. You really can relax and still feel at home. The bed is comfortable. The kitchen is totally usable and I appreciate the plates, silverware and glasses. Even the fridge and washer/dryer unit make a long or short stay that much easier. The units are very family-friendly.

This resort has gone down lower and lower every year. I've been an owner for over the past ten years and have seen the degradation of this resort from a top resort to disappointing. I'm not going to go through the specifics but let's say customer service and property… not very good.

The rooms are beautifully done and the staff is very attentive. This is the go-to stay for out — of — town guests.

They tell you to stop by the concierge then they try to sale you on going to a time share presentation… Very tacky for a hotel charging full price for rooms. Then I had to park 3/4 a mile down the road since there was no parking available due to a "office party" they were holding. Then just to top it off the Wi-Fi stopped working 5 hours into my 2 day stay (At&t wireless doesn't work here) … No phone or internet. Never again well I stay here or at another Wyndham property… I'm gold at Hilton for a reason.

Our friends and us stayed here while attending the wine society pick up party. This place is just amazing. Comfortable and well decorated.

This resort was very nice and had amazing hospitality when we were there. It is a beautiful resort and I do recommend booking a room and staying for a week.

Beautiful resort, comfortable facilities, everything you need for a great vacation. The staff was very helpful esp. Katie at the concierge desk. We even sat thru a timeshare presentation and still had a great time; they made it worth our time with freebies and it was very low pressure but informative. The connection with the Meritage was great and the wine tasting was enjoyable.

This is a beautiful awesome place to stay! I stay here every time I come to. Napa and love it! In quiet location too so you can relax and enjoy your own serendipity.

A great relaxing getaway!

We love this place. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are spacious and clean. The full kitchen along with a washer and dryer make it feel like home. The desk calls the room to up sell their services, which is really annoying. If you don't answer they keep calling every 5 minutes until you answer. I take the phone off the hook; problem solved! Every room has a complimentary bottle of wine. It really is one of my favorite places to stay.

As beautiful as it gets, a luxurious experience that qualifies one as a recipient of a dream holiday. Incomparable staff, service. Rose infused walks meandering past olive trees, grape arbors etc. Always supercedes ones expectations.

We truly loved our stay here and received the best service ever. They have a bottle of wine waiting for you along with chocolate truffles. Very very god wine and wonderful experience. The rooms had a full kitchen, comfy beds and all high end. Love it and highly recommend.

It is very important to understand the type of hotel you get when you book here. First, if you are looking for a location conveniently located near to most popular Napa wineries, this is not the place. You have to drive 10-15 minutes to get to Oakville and farther to the other areas. The hotel is a good selection for large parties, weddings, or group events because many Napa hotels are small. However, if you are heading to Napa for romance or something special, this is NOT the place. The rooms and hotel design feel like a Florida resort property and not a Napa experience. The rooms are large and well equipped with washer/dryer, microwave, refrigerator, etc. But the hotel charges $25 per day to clean the room. Odd! You have to request for clean towels to be delivered to the room and when they deliver the towels, they do not take away old used towels. The hotel also tries to lure guests into a time share presentation. Overall, I felt that I was way outside of the Napa action and this hotel did not offer any real compelling reason to pay the price for the inconvenience or the lack of services I would expect at any hotel.

7/17/13 This beautiful location is primarily occupied by timeshare owners. It sits on the outside of Napa and isn't far from home, so it's not necessarily a place that we would spend the night, but their grounds and rooms are beautiful. We toured the resort and enjoyed the poolside, outdoor bar. Comfy couch-style seating near the water and day spa let us relax in the sun and watch a wedding party walk by. The tour of the rooms was impressive. We saw a studio with a deep soaking tub and fully stocked kitchen. We also viewed a one-bedroom with a jacuzzi tub in the main bedroom and a large shower in the bathroom with multiple showerheads. Luxurious hygiene stations. Me likely. The views from the rooms (and by the pool) included the neat rows of grapes planted behind the place as well as many other blossoming flower plants. The bar that we stopped at was staffed by one bartender and she was really, really nice. I picked a lemonade-beer that was amazing. Note: Gratuity is already included in purchases at the bar WHY WE WERE AT THE RESORT: The Alameda County Fair had a Shell representative with a Wheel of Win. My husband cant pass these things up and his spin landed on "Free Trip to Hawaii". We scheduled an appointment for the following Saturday in Napa and paid a $40 deposit which was refunded after we fulfilled our obligation. We are not stupid people. We know what the deal with timeshare presentations is so there were no surprises when we arrived for the 90 min.
