Poor customer service. Rude staff. Cold breakfast, staff outside smoking not taking care of customers. Dirty bathroom. Won't recommend it to anyone.

Awful experience at the Salinas Hampton Inn! Rooms were disgusting. Property was full of trash and homeless people from the rehabilitation center next door. Our car was broken into. Staff was unhelpful and uncooperative when the police asked for paperwork about the break in. Refused to change rooms said “all the rooms are in the same condition, so changing rooms won’t help”. Corporate I’m not helping, hotel manager Gordon is not available to help either. Don’t stay here!

Cuz of the virus scare you're an able just to walk in and out or have guests everything's pretty much locked up. Breakfasts are not what they used to be everything packaged, fresh coffee. Didn't matter anyway we stayed in our room. The pool and the spa were wonderful.

Very comfortable with great amenities. It is the only place in Salinas worth laying your head down. When you wake up in the morning you are within small stroll to the Starbucks. Great place to work.

Nicer property, clean and good breakfast options. Next door to a Starbucks!

Nice big clean rooms. Pleanty of parking including semi truck and a parking garage under building. Great breakfast and wonderful staff. Will continue to stay here when traveling through the area.

Was there for one night for a close friend's wedding and amenities were on point, the room was spacious and clean. Had a wonderful stay!

It was clean and comfy. Great beds. Good size room. Location is eh but close to Monterey. Breakfast was great too. Overall, FCC or the price, great stay.

The initial room I was given was still occupied so I had to be switched to a different room. The staff were very nice about it all though. Only complaint is the TV in the new room was on the small side.

Is an hotel very comfortable located in salinas California which has very good service.

Clean rooms, friendly staff, great free breakfast! The beds were the most comfortable we have ever slept in at a hotel. The front desk was always helpful and provided us with whatever we needed for our stay. Also there was underground parking which was nice! We felt very secure. Our Wi-Fi wasn't working but we didn't ask so it's not their fault. Also hot tub should probably get rennovated soon since the inside was worn and looked kinda gross but we still used it.

Everything was very good except the fire alarm sounded very very loud on 04/07/2018.
Everybody ran outside of the building.
It was a false alarm.
My ears hurt.

Gary Gary Gary! Not only is the hotel nice and clean, but one of the employees (Gary) that works at the front desk is the most amazing person that you could ever ask to help you when you are home away from home. Will come here again just because Gary is THAT amazing!

Very clean, spacious rooms. Breakfast was very good with many options. Fitness room was great, had a lot of machines and room to get a good workout in. The fitness room was also very clean.

Love this clean and friendly inn! Continental breakfast had a huge selection, something for everyone that's for sure! Really nice place I would recommend.

There was an issue with My check in. And the Managers Gary and Gordon went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. I had an amazing experience here at the Hampton. I would definitely recommend and come. Back to this location again. One of the beat experiences I have ever had. They care about their clientele! And stand up to their representation! Most definitely very happy with my stay!

Brand new hotel and very clean. The surrounding area… Not so much. Close to downtown, which is very nice.

Beautiful, clean, spacious Hotel. Ultra friendly staff and very helpful manager. Manager always greets you at the door when he can. I ended up in a room designed for the disabled, so my room was enormous. Room 326. Fast and free Wi-Fi. Don't pay for the ultra high-speed until you try out the regular speed. It's streams video from Netflix and Amazon perfectly. Great location with a brand new Starbucks in the parking lot. Only complaint, the comforter on the bed is suitable for sleeping Outdoors in Alaska winter. It's so heavy and so thick that it's impossible to use it unless you have the AC running on full speed. And I'm not exaggerating. I set the air conditioner on 65 and was still hot under that comforter. After waking up repeatedly from 2 a. M. To 5 a. M. I searched the room and found a lighter blanket in the closet. I recommend the hotel replace all of those comforters with a much lighter and softer product.

Reservation cancelled and my card was charged anyways! When I notified them of the error they could not "refund" my monies. Absolutely unprofessional business practice. Cancelled 2 weeks in advance. I will never use this hotel again.

Comfortable beds and indoor pool in December. What else can you want? Good breakfast too!

The location was right next to the highway, but there is no noise entering into the room. The receptionist was prompt and friendly. The room was sveey good, spacious and clean. Everything was great. Good breakfast.

This place is nice and seems very new. Only thing I didn't like was the lack luster breakfast. Seemed like everything was thrown in a microwave, served and only the remnants were put out for us to eat.

Nice place, with a few faults. The good: amazing breakfast, helpful staff, clean rooms with nice TVs, heated pool and jacuzzi, fitness room. Secure, locked parking below if you can get a spot. Late checkout is standard :) The bad: if the room next to you decides to come and go from their room frequently, you'll hear their door slam every time. If you have a room above you with kids in it, you'll hear every footfall they make. Salinas is pretty lows and the parking lot doesn't feel as secure as it could. Some dude was complaining to the staff about his car getting broken in to and the staff basically said he was SOL because Salinas PD doesn't care about hotel guests. For how loud the place *can be*, it could be a little cheaper. I was there two nights — Friday was quiet as a countryside church but Saturday was howling kid central. The staff here needs to enforce quiet hours for the benefit of their guests. I slept well here and would return, but it doesn't get 5 full stars just yet.

I am so displeased with this hotel. They drained my bank account for incidentals but yet my company I work for paid for the whole thing. They only needed my card for $100 for incidentals but they took $856 and left me with nothing. I told them about it yesterday and here we are 24 hours later and nothing has been done. Other then that the hotel room was awesome.

Nice, clean, the whole crew was very nice and attentive. It's not close to downtown, but from the hotel it's very easy to take 68 towards Monterey. The only imperfection was on breakfast: not much choice and tables do not get cleaned very often.

This is a very fine Hampton, new and clean with attentive staff. The most annoying thing is the toilet paper holders, which wedge the roll and don't let it turn. Who would design that let alone buy several hundred of them to install in a hotel?

Nice hotel, on par with other Hampton Inn hotels. Friendly staff. Try to get a room facing away from the highway for less car noise.

Quick. Compared to the local spots… Only a few bucks more but for much larger space. Would definitely recommend this place.

This hotel had a very nice atmosphere and had helpful staff. The rooms were nice, although the shower head was slightly broken. Overall, the experience was satisfactory.

The rooms in this hotel are really clean and comfortable. Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking. Access to the freeway was fast and easy. Would highly recommend it.

Very friendly staff and nice new hotel. Indoor pool and whirlpool although pool not huge. Good sized gym. Bed comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was typical Hampton fare: cereals, juice, oatmeal, a couple of cooked options, pastries, waffles etc. Shame that every Hampton has so much throw away breakfast utensils such as paper plates and plastic cutlery — these days I would expect a more eco friendly policy.

Loved the room. We have a son who is disabled and the room is very spacious and comfortable. When we checked in, Gary was very hospitable and professional. Very happy with this stay. Will definitely be on our list of hotels to stay again if needed when we come here.

Great facility great staff and great location.

I made a reservation for a softball tournament that my daughter was supposed to play in. The organizers ended up cancelling the tournament about a week prior to the start date. I made a call to the reservation line to transfer the reservation to new dates for a different tournament and they referred me to the hotel since I paid for the reservation in full. I made numerous phone calls to the front desk and left the general manager a message every day for a week. I sent emails. I sent FB messages. I have not received a single return call. Not one person has shown any interest in helping me out. At this point, it looks like I will be eating $355. Somebody could have at least shown enough interest to return a phone call. Not happy at all…

Place seems really new or freshly remodeled. I would reccomend this place as it is pretty easy to get to and very well kept.

Location, good. Close to freeway. Google Maps directions needlessly complicated (wrong exit). Room, good/standard. Clean. Family of four slept comfortably enough. Service, good. Really friendly breakfast server guy. Bad-Effectively 0 breakfast options for my wife or son who have food allergies. They had bacon and bacon, because that was the extent of the allergy sensitive options.

Definitely recommend!. Clean comfortable. Very attentive and accommodating staff. Breakfast had lots of choices and the cafe area was bright and pleasant. You will be pleased.

I don't know why this was rated a 2 star hotel. Its better than many 4 star ones I've been to. Modern, new, clean. Luv the cookies.

We choose to stay at this hotel because the hotels in Monterey were ridiculously expensive. This is a very well kept hotel that still smells new. The room that we stay in was very nice and everything that you come to expect from a Hampton Inn. The fridge was actually on when we came in which is a plus since most hotels have them off. The pool is heated and you can jump straight in without adjusting to the temperature. The workout room is also very nice and large. I just wish that they had two different types of elliptical machines. The only small complain that I had was that the hot breakfast was good one day and not the next but we still found plenty of other things to eat. Overall this is a great place to stay.
