Excellent customer service. The staff was great. Awesome location, not to far from attractions in the local area. I will definitely recommend this place for families and couples. Extremely comfortable.

Great place “almost hidden” but very well appointed and nicely kept! The rooms create a wonderful atmosphere perfect for relaxing and feeling a bit secluded! Not exactly in the heart of things, not much within walking distance, but a short drive gets you everywhere. Wonderful and attentive staff and great service!

Although the outside may not look that appealing, we were very surprised with our room. The deluxe king was extremely spacious with a lovely fireplace with a nice TV. Showers were nice and spacious as well.

Cosy room with minimal breakfast. 15min walk from the centre. Parking is available right in front of the room. Friendly staff in the lobby. Rooms, shower/toilet relatively large. $135 was more a lot for the standard!

Felt very high end hotel due to a big comfy bed, by the bed fireplace and hot strong shower. Perfect to rest post big sur!

Check in was super easy. Room was really nice. Loved the fireplace in the room. The girl at the front desk was very helpful with suggestions for dinner and drinks. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff has good customer service. The beds are comfortable and the showers have great pressure.

Great location, clean and updated rooms. Parking is hit and miss, walls do seem to be a bit thin but an enjoyable stay overall and well priced for location and nice rooms.

The room was very classy and clean. My partner and I were very happy with the aesthetics and the balcony. But the fireplace didn't work, and while watching TV the cable went completely out, it was only for 10 minutes or so. We called the front desk right after this occurred at 1:30am, to my surprise they answered. The front desk woman said that it could be Comcast having trouble. She was polite and helpful. Wished the fire place worked but overall I would definitely stay here again.

In Monterey simple but nice little hotel.

Rooms were updated and very nice. Nice beds and very nice showers. Room wasn't ready when promised and breakfast was less to be desired, but overall a decent experience.

Honestly, from the outside, it looks lackluster. However, the room was fantastic. The free breakfast was nice too. Darla was wonderful. The ten minute walk to a ton of nightlife was a breeze.

Good rooms for a decent rate. More thorough cleaning would be desirable.

A very friendly, hospitable family runs this motel. The rooms are spacious and modern equipped, clean and have a comfortable, large bed. I think the price/performance is unbeatable for Monterey!

Spot on location. Close to the sea couldn't ask for more. Rooms are very posh usb chargers everywhere! Very friendly staff.

I had the most horrible experience for an area that is so pricey. The hotel was recommended by the bride and groom but did not meet our expectations. First of all the Manager is not always on site leaving the poor clerks to address important issues. We paid for a roll away bed which was torn with a huge hole. The air conditioner leaked the entire stay and was leaking directly onto the roll away bed. After we spoke to the clerk she was able to replace it. Unfortunately, we had to endure a leaking air conditioner throughout the night. We were stuck with placing towels over the soaking wet carpet and a trash can under the leaking air conditioner. We had to walk over wet towels to access the bathroom which was disgusting. The heat also caused the towels to smell! The bathroom light was more like a strobe light and gave us a feel of being in a night club 24/7.
In addition, I was concerned for my safety and safety of my belongings since the room attendant had her boyfriend who was not an employee hanging out with her in the rooms while she was cleaning. So sad that this was our experience for such a beautiful city and area. Lastly I would not recommend this hotel.

Pleasant staff. Somewhat updated rooms, but could have been cleaner. Both the sink and the shower drained very slowly.

Loved my stay. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Stayed in a double queen. For a budget hotel close to town and mins to beachsides it is a great deal. Room was beautiful. Continental breakfast/sacks included. Parking is cramped but not bad. No pool. But the plush bedding and fluffy pillows and fireplace made this trip so comforting and relaxing. I got great sleep. I will me making my next reservation here again for sure.

What can I say about this hotel. First off the staff is so friendly and caring for your needs. Then the room was beautiful inside with a fireplace what else could you ask for. Don't judge this book by its cover so deceiving. Will definitely be staying here again in the near future.

Close to the sights and downtown of Monterey and super clean and updated. However, the lighting is either super dim to floodlights. No in between. Also it's time delayed in the bathroom. So I hope you like pooping in the dark. And the TV volume does go lower than 10 for some reason. BUT, there's a fireplace and it's awesome.

The Munras Inn looks pretty average from the outside, but the rooms themselves more than make up for this. It's a diamond in the rough. While the reception isn't open 24/7, and free breakfast refers to a Yoplait yogurt, the rooms have recently been renovated, rendering them far more modern than your traditional ** Monterey hotel. The room was spacious, and complete with motion sensing lights, renovated bathroom (with really good water pressure), 50 inch TV and the option of one or two beds. I will stay here again when I return to the area and would recommend it to others!

Outdated rooms, no a/c, its 89 outside and ten degrees hotter in the room.

The room was clean enough, but they were way overpriced. The rooms are also very dated and had holes in the walls. The breakfast was only so/so. Cereal, yogurt, tea coffee. It was a very quite hotel. I would not stay here again unless the prices were better and the rooms updated,
