Very friendly and helpful! Gorgeous resort, beautiful rooms.

We’ve been coming here for 10 years… great rooms, Friendly staff, great experiences!

Booked it sight unseen. Looked nice in pictures. It was not.
Door to the "lodge" was missing the handle. You opened the door with your fingers, like a bowling ball. Carpeting was stained. Holes in walls, mismatched paint. Ice machine was in pieces. To get ice, I had to walk to the front of the hotel.
No A/C. Box fan in room. The fan was filthy. Opened the window for air. No screen.
Attempted to take shower. The hot water pressure barely activated the shower attachment. Had the hot on full blast. Barely luke warm.
I tried to use the exercise room but couldn't get past the smell.
Asked for a receipt from front desk in the morning. I Was told to "get receipt from third party biller". They could care less about the state of the business.
On par with a crack house.

Very nice place can't ask for anything else 5 star.

Horrible experience. Toilet was clogged when we got there, then when they fixed it they didn’t clean it after. When the girl came and cleaned it she left her gloves on and touched the door knob and other surfaces before she left. Had to clean after the cleaning. Then the shower handle was completely broken and when I reported it the repairman said it was fine and the manager told me I “obviously didn’t know how to work it”. The place needs a complete overhaul. Do not stay there!

They could start by answering my e mails.
Stayed there twice — first and last.
The room was musty-it was the en of summer!
The beds were very uncomfortable.
The room I booked said it had a kitchenette… I don't call a kettle on the basin a kitchenette!
Rooms were NOT spacious.

1. The counter waiter gave me the feeling that I was not friendly to the Asian face
2. Resort Fee has no value at all and the steam chamber is not open at all according to the schedule.

Friendly staff, great ambience, outdoor pool and sauna, clean and neat hallways and rooms, AC/Heater, wide beds, remote controlled TV, small convenience store, restaurant sums up why I recommend Sierra Nevada Resort & Spa.
Besides that, if you are an angler or into sports fishing, Suerra Nevada Resort & Spa is close to five lakes rich in fish to catch. :) :) :)

This is a middle grade hotel. Most of the showers, ac, sinks and bed are in serious need of replacement. Shower and sinks do not drain properly. They drain very slow. A/C unit is very loud if it even works at all. Bed is lumpy. I slept in three different rooms here and all of them were the same. The reason for three stars is the location and the staff. It is conveniently located by restaurants and shops. A lot of choices within walking distance. The staff was all very nice and approachable without being fake. If something was not right, like the items above, they tried to get it fixed in a very timely manner.

Brad upgraded our room from a king deluxe to a king suite, which was great since we were celebrating our 30th anniversary. The room was very spacious with a mini kitchen and a fireplace. Tha bathroom had a tub and separate shower that included an overhead rain head and the slate floors were heated. We also had a couples massage at the spa that was scheduled that day. Great place.

Lobby room is very nice and had an elegant Sierra feel to it. Pool table and bar up front in lobby. Plenty of rooms there. Laundry and gym are available. Nice room with big screen TV, rock tile shower and bathroom. Would go back again. Thanks!

Average… The smell is musty, hot in the room, and the repair will not hurt.

It makes me wonder how this hotel is able to get at least four stars on average in their reviews. Location is no doubt a great plus, friendly staff but their follow up on service is appalling! When we checked in, the reception at the front Tony assisted us to get a better room, of course with additional fees of which we were gladly pay for. So we ended up with one of the chalets that has a king size bed with attached kitchenette and pull out sofa bed. First and foremost, they didn’t even bothered to check the condition of the sofa bed and it was clearly old and the springs holding the frame had been busted and not repaired and therefore the mattress was sloping to the center all the time. Upon the following morning, made a complain, and their maintenance team came to check and basically said it was not sleepable at all. So providing the solution of asking Housekeeping additional mattress to be placed in the living room instead. We came back in the late afternoon to find a massive blown up mattress that was not even made with the necessary linens. Towards the later of the evening, the mattress itself definitely had a leak and again, another us restful sleep in a supposedly four star rated by people who have stayed here? The property definitely needs a good overall look at the management of how they intend to sustain this rating if just for us alone, our stay has been horrible. Make sure to check the conditions of the mattresses which ever unit you intend to book into!

A great place. Shows its age but it has been tastefully decorated. Staff is friendly and treats everyone whether overnight guest or a dinner guest with the same care and attention. Rooms are old but well kept. Overall a good option.

A disappointing stay for the price. For the cost we expected more. To set expectations this hotel is on the same level as a rundown best western or holiday inn. The name “resort and spa” is a bit misleading. We were in a “deluxe” room but furniture was broken, the shower thermostat was hanging off the wall, the drain cover was broken so we kept on stepping down the drain, the air conditioner sounded like someone kicking a tin can. Also the walls are paper thin so it’s noisy (depending on your neighbours). The pool was also closed which we didn’t know about. Finally the staff at check-in were unprofessional and a bit rude. I was left standing there for at least 10 mins whilst they answered phone calls giving prices for rooms and taking reservations!

We specifically booked messages here based on the amnemities offered to go along with the massage. First off, our massages were wonderful. I really enjoyed the actual massage. However the customer service was lacking. They threw a lady behind the front desk who didn't know anything about the facilities. The massuese that did, couldn't speak English, which for me, isn't exactly a big deal, until I need to ask questions. The steam room didn't work, but the sauna did. The waiting "room" to wait in was way too bright for it to be relaxing, with no ambiant music or anything to set you in the mood. Again, the massage was great, but I feel bamboozled by the pictures.

The front desk staff were helpful, kind and courteous. The hotel walls are thin and noisy, as well as the ceilings. Sounded like a herd of elephants moved in upstairs, though more likely kids acting like little monkeys. Once the front desk was contacted, they settled down and we had minimal problems with the noise until the next day we could hear our neighbors conversation through the adjoining doors, so we stuffed towels under the 1 inch gap. The housekeeping neglected to dust the lampshades for apparently a long while; they dumped quite a bit of dust when tilted a little bit. Not one good lamp for reading as all the lights were a bit dim. Our fridge froze our food and drinks. When the night maintenance man came, he seemed to be annoyed that we expected a working one when my husband asked him to replace it, as if it was rude of us to expect the amenities that came with the fireplace suite. The hotel spa was lackluster. The steam room wasn't operational. The staffs appearance was not professional, and my husband couldn't even communicate properly with his massage therapist because she only spoke Spanish. For the price of the session, one expects professionalism and certainly an ability to communicate. After the session, they gave us tiny Dixie cups of water and told us to help ourselves. My husband poured one glass and the water dispenser ran out. Need water if you are going to use a sauna, so we just left.

Room smells not so good. Place really needs some updating. Customer service lacking at check in. Kid could use some CS lessons. Generally place is run down. Positive side the bed is super comfy and bathroom is nice and updated.

The rooms are lovely and well appointed. The bedding is super comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for walking around town and the hotels restaurants and Spa are great. I highly recommend staying here.

Really good hotel in the center of the village.
US type room. Two king size beds, flat screen TV, micro wave, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, safe.
Beautiful room with mountain style, very nice Italian shower, beautiful decoration of the whole.
Many hygiene products, even cotton swab.
Electrical outlets sufficient but missing at the nightstand.
Free Wifi of good quality.
Air conditioning.
View on a mountain end still snowy very beautiful lodge with fireplace and American billiards.
MAC computer available.
Swimming pool with Jacuzzi.
Very nice gym with many appliances.
Laundry on the ground floor.

The resort is in a great location, within walking distance or a short drive from a lot of restaurants and shops. The room was clean, the bathroom was updated. The other amenities offered — — e. G. Huge hot tub, free coffee & hot chocolate, shuttle around town — — were all great and convenient. And our mid-week rate was reasonable. Would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my time here. It was near Mammoth. The things that were troublesome was the TV would have some issues when we would watch TV. It would get all static. The HDMI cable didn't work either. Also we didn't have a trash can in the room. Only the bathroom. Other than that. It was a very cozy place to stay.

Stayed here for a few nights and must say that its a good place to go when you just want to relax after a long day of snowboarding. The lobby is nice and cozy with a pool table, bar, sitting area with a fire in the middle that burns all night long. They also have a Jacuzzi outside which is indeed open for you to enjoy after a day on the mountain. The room is nice as well. It is starting to show its age, but the restroom is nice and modern. Definitely I recommend this place.

Location was great. There was free public transport to take us to Mammoth village. As well as having a ski/snowboard rental at the hotel. The staff was very helpful. The room was nice, fairly standard minus a refrigerator.

We stayed for a snowboarding weekend. Check in was easy and fast. Check out was even easier and faster. I always enjoy my stay here. I'm never disappointed staying here. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The food at Rafters was disappointing though. Food was not cooked well, and priced way too high for what we received. I wouldn't ding the resort for the service and quality at Rafters, but it should be noted.

Charming, older rooms, but clean. Great lobby for hanging out in. If you want a good night's sleep on Friday and Saturday, make sure your room is far away from Rafters, which plays loud, bass-heavy music until very late.

Overpriced. One star bc of price; the room & stay was more like 2 stars. Pricing — I went with two kids and wanted a decent play without paying a lot. Saw Sierra Nevada R&S for $189/nt — — the only places cheaper were the Quality Inn and Motel 6. I booked expecting about $200/nt, it ended up being over $600 for 2 nights. The 2nd bed boosted the price $50, then the "hidden" resort/management and service fees were about $60 per night. Bad move on my part — I should've gotten a vrbo which, when I searched later, I could've gotten a 2 br with spacious rooms, etc for same price. The room & stay — two beds were somewhat comfy (a little lumpy in mattress but not caved in), floors creaked on every step in room and hallways, temperature in room is difficult to manage (not a wall thermostat; heater is wall/window mounted unit that continuously heats… needed to get up to shut off bc it can't measure temp of room). Bathroom was best part of room — nice tile floor and shower, soap & shampoo amenities were nice, toilet has strong flush, has fan and excellent lighting. Also, the lobby is pretty nice with a games/chess table, a pool table, and a nice fireplace-sitting area.

Booked a 2 queen room, for a 4:00 check in. Reality: 2 doubles and room not ready until 5:40, then had to literally negotiate for a late check out. Staff at night was friendly, but the front desk manager had terrible customer service in the morning. Not even close to what I would expect for the $. Fitness room was tiny and only had like 3 pieces of equipment. I would hardly call it a "resort" so a resort fee is ridiculous. Have stayed in Mammoth at much better places with excellent service for less.

Excellent location. Close to food and the mammoth shuttle. Rooms could use some sound proofing though as loud neighbors can easily be heard.

Ir was a wonderful place!

Great getaway place, in a completely breathtaking surroundings. Friendly staff, firepit, pool, and a bar in the lobby, hourly shuttle to the mountain. Sauna, steam room and jacuzzi are perfect after a day of skiing. Good restaurants nearby. Rafters is literally next door and had the same feel as the resort. We always book a room with fireplace, it adds so much to the experience. (Not sure about the basic rooms, but ours always has an AC unit — which we never use — between the fireplace and opening a window to cool it down a notch). Bathroom has a heated floor and both: a spacious shower and a bathtub. Whole place has a nice "vintage lodge" touch to it's interior. One of our favorites.

Room was a cool blend of modem and rustic. Front desk gave an excellent suggestion for a nearby midweek dinner spot. Would stay there again.

It gives a historical feel but the beds are warm, cozy. Bathroom was clean and with all toiletries, coffee machine. There is a pool table and a bar in the reception also hot tub and a swimming pool near the entrance. Nice way to stay in or or travel out.

Very rustic ambience, of course superbly suited to the whole place, hotel walks and lobby reminded me a bit of the Overlook Hotel from "The Shining … " clean, comfortable beds, outdoor pool with Jacuzzi, fire pit, nearby restaurants and steakhouse, all comfortable Within walking distance. The whole place, including the hotel industry, is, of course, intended for winter sports.

The staff is nice and the rooms are clean just very outdated. However, they are planning on tearing down the resort and building a brand new one. The local restaurant at the resort was ok, their green onion biscuits and gravy were good.

Very nice, very accommodating. We had to switch our reservation from a previous hotel and they found d our reservation we made 1 minute prior to arriving and got us a room within 10 minutes. The lady at the front desk was very understanding and upgraded us to the Fireside Suite.

A resort with personality! Regular rooms get a lodge makeover, vintage ski art engages you to read the messages. While fun and masculine in decor, it could have been a bit cleaner.

Nice facility for a stopover from Tahoe to las Vegas or for trips to Yosemite National Park. Clean rooms and many restaurants in the area.

Hotel which in no way has the benefits of a 4 *!
We arrived at 7pm and the rooms were still not ready! The maids were still going to vacuum!
The receptionist was rude, deliberately talking quickly with a pronounced American accent!
Maybe better in winter!
We ended up having four breakfasts in compensation!

The mattress in our room was so uncomfortable one night I got almost no sleep. The bathtub was wonderful, very deep and relaxing. The pool was empty. The hot tub was huge, that was nice. We had a fireplace room. It had a fridge, stovetop, toaster, microwave and dishes/cookware. I feel like I spent way too much money for a place that was just alright. They front desk could have offered us more information when we checked in, it was when we were leaving that I saw the free map of the area that would have been helpful during our stay.

I enjoyed the rustic, historical feel of this place. It has a lot of charm. Its small bar area was cozy and the friendly bartender was very informative. It is not ultra modern which I truly liked. It has the spirit of skiers from decades ago lingering in its wood frame. The rooms were decent size, with our room having a microwave, refrigerator, and a safe. The room had been refurbished while keeping all the charm. It is a great price for a good night's sleep. I will stay here again.

Quaint Hotel in the area, a bit like the ones you see in the movies. Spacious rooms, characterized by a mountain style!

Very nice hotel, located in Mammoth Lakes district. Clean rooms, helpful staff and lots of stuff to do at the hotel and in the surroundings. Wi-Fi is fast and has good contact all the time.

The remodel was well done visually, but the fixtures were not high end brands. And the outlets were very few in the rooms. But overall, it was a nice place to stay, overpriced considering no breakfast, and the pool is outside and not heated, can't swim in June in a freezing pool…

The sierra nevada is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean, luxurious rooms and lots of ammenities including a spa, hot tub, and pool. Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant Rafters has amazing food and great live music on Saturday nights.

Our friends, Phil introduced this resort to us. We arrived late 8pm, our booking was missing but not a big deal. The reception managed it quick enough while we were having dinner at the restaurant next door (part of the resort too) good food friendly staff. There are mini golf, pool, hot tub, steam room & pool table the room we staying is the 2bedroom, beautiful country decorated. Fully equipped kitchen great for us as the family. This makes our first visit mammoth unforgettable!

The room was quite nice in a decent location. The ranchers restaurant had decent food. Came at a quiet time of year so not much going on. Staff helpful and friendly.

This is a $59/night hotel anywhere… But a lot more than than in mammoth during peak season. It isn't bad per se… The rooms are small like any older hotel, it is maintained at a basic level, but it is well past the "use by" date and is due for a major refurbishment. Our room essentially had zero convenience outlets for cell chargers, etc… Which wasn't ideal. On site restaurant (rafters) looks high end, prices are a bit high, and food quality doesn't remotely match the pricing. But the location is great, the staff is nice, and mammoth is awesome no matter where you stay.
