Amazing place with the exception that there is no AC in the one bedroom condos & it was hot all day/night.

This hotel has seen better days. It’s rather typical for Mammoth as most hotels in the area are in dire need of updating and renovating. This hotel is no different. It is outdated and run down. Granted, Mammoth is not a luxury vacation spot (although the prices are on par with any high end resort town) as it caters to hikers, fishing enthusiasts and winter sport fanatics but still… when the wall paper is coming off and the carpet torn, at a nightly COVID reduced rate of $200, one should expect and receive a little better.
Dining options are very slim up here as the hotel restaurant is closed due to COVID and the only other restaurant has a menu consisting of only 6 snack type items… all of which are overpriced.
Probably won’t stay here again unless the price is right which this Hotel is always more affordable than other properties in the area so we could find ourselves back here but it definitely is not our first, second or 5th choice of Mammoth hotels.

An Award of Excellence… 24 of us went to Mammoth Mountain 2 weekends and most of us stayed at Mammoth Mountain Inn. We all involved ourselves in very fun daily activities anywhere from snowboarding to skiing, to Snowcat and Snowmobiling tours throughout the weekend. We/I had the time of our lives. When I returned back home on Monday evening, I opened my Kate Spade glass case and noticed that my brand new/expensive prescription Kate Spade framed glasses were missing. The last time I wore them was on our last evening in the hotel room as we were packing up the suitcases for our departure the next day and as we were settling in a cold Sunday night. I called the Mammoth Mountain Inn hotel and spoke with Francisco at the front desk, who took a lost and found report for my missing glasses. He told me it would take about 48 hours until I would receive any feedback. He also kindly offered to go search as he mentioned that our room hadn't been cleaned yet. After not hearing from anyone almost 48 hours later I called and spoke with Heidi Willson who is the room service manager at the hotel. She gave me the excellent news that they found the glasses. Heidi went over and beyond with her service and had the glasses shipped back to me within a few days, free shipping and also placed my glasses in one of her own personal eye glass cases. I can't express enough the personal gratitude I have for the EXCELLENT service that was given to me from Heidi, (and Francisco) at Mammoth Mountain Inn.

Clean rooms and great service, so convenient being right at the base of the mtn.

Pleasant and quiet and nice location if a shade cold.

A last minute room. Was pleasantly surprised we were able to find a room at such a reasonable price.
Room was large, clean and warm.
We had a herd of mammoths in the room above, but after a call to the front desk, they quieted down.
Overall, a great experience and value.

Such a friendly place! The setting is to die for if you sit staring at the mountain. The bar is v v nice w antler chandeliers. Good good food and drink. Quite comfy.

Rooms are spacious, very clean with luxurious bedding.
The staff, especially Jim and Zach, were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel at home right away.

So far we have enjoyed our stay here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are basic but very roomy.

Absolutely amazing views and the staff was so friendly!

It’s hard for me to rate it as we’ve been stuck in a snowstorm since arriving Saturday night. Haven’t been able to ski due to blizzard and high wind conditions. Though the room at the Mammoth Mountain Inn is decent, I’m getting tired of being in it about 85 percent of the time. I would much rather put my skis on and ski them runs! Hopefully our last two days here will be spent skiing!

It's the greatest in California. Especially during the weekdays when there are fewer people. Nothing like coming down Broadway and its just you.

The soil is unique and the trails have a wide variety of difficulty and style diversity. I have been coming here since 2004 and the mountain is phenomenal. I highly recommend coming to this bike park, it is a genuinely unique and excellent experience.

Great gift shop. Tickets may be pricey to go to the top of the mountain are worth it. The view is incredible.

Stop there if necessary during a trip between 2 Parks (don't forget the sweaters! ) Cottages so family. Rooms are more in "enhanced holiday centre" mode. Small center a few kilometers away.

Nature is amazing, but there are many old hotels that don't match their money…

Wow, what a beautiful place! The villiage is just stunning and the accommodation fits in perfectly! So quaint and comfortable! The staff were so helpful and friendly it was like coming home. Sure the rooms would benefit from a refurb but that did not distract from the overwhelming beauty and friendliness of this place. Would just love to live here. Fabulous! Would definitely recommend to others and would equally come back again!

Such a beautiful and diverse area to go hiking. There is so much landscape to explore. I can't wait until they open the path to the bottom of Rainbow Falls in 2019.

Great place! Lots to do! Katie bar the door! Here tell they are putting in a high-speed bullet zip line from the top of Mammoth Mountain to the bottom. 65 MPH Superman-style. Can't wait to ride it!

This place is awesome. Beautiful place with year round skiing. I would have loved to stay here for a few days.

Mammoth is my favorite place to go snowboarding. This place has it all thare are so many different types of terrain anything from greens to steep double black runs. And the park is one of the best I've ridden. This is my new go to destination for winter and summer.

Such an amazing mountain. China Bowl is one of my favorite runs. They have so many different runs so the lines do move fairly fast. It does get crowded though. They do close the top of the mountain if t gets too treacherous but the views from up there are incredible.

Some of the best snow in California. Just wish it was easier to get there and that the lodges were better sized for the crowds. They're expanding the back side's itty-bitty outpost at least, and chair 5 became an express a few years ago. They really need to upgrade chair 25 to an express too, and let's be honest, some more parking wouldn't hurt either. Also sadly there's no night skiing. I don't miss it, but I know others might.

My wife with myopathy was able to practice but especially discover the pleasures of gliding. A team hyper adapted but especially attentive to the customer. I recommend the place is superb and the slopes are inepuisable. A village very hospitable possibilities to find a correspondent speaking French.

Great range of slopes for all levels. Has many great restaurants with good quality food. I go here 4 to 5 times a year and love it each time!

Fun! Fun! Fun! I absolutely love it here! The best snowboarding in California, hands down. Huge amount of acreage to ride, ski or sled. Parking was crazy! But the free shuttle made it worth it. Some really cool employees. But a couple of rude @$$ people. Great for every level of rider, but lessons are expensive.

Mammoth Mountain Inn is situated in the most amazing location just steps away from several chair lifts and a gondola that will take you to mid mountain and then to the top. The bar area is sits beneath a massive window that was designed to feature the mountain in all its glory and is beautiful beyond words. Having an après ski cocktail while watching the few die hards swoosh to the bottom is worth the stay in and of itself. All of those wonderful attributes are needed to justify staying at the Mammoth Mountain Inn…. Because the accommodations are some of the worst I’ve experienced in decades. If you have expectations of any amenities be warned. They are few. The coffee maker looks like a 10 year old Mr. Coffee and the offerings for brewing seem to be the cheapest on the market. My room was 820, situated with a view of the Main Lodge. Nice for proximity…Not nice if there’s snow and the massive tractors used to clear the parking lots, are working. The constant beeping while in reverse takes a while to get used. But lucly there was the constant sound/humm/ whirr coming from the walls made by who knows what. Everything about MMI looks tired and worn out. It is 10 years past needing a remodel. The staff does there best and they all tried to be pleasant with the deer in the head lights look when I would approach with a question. I can’t even imagine what it’s like to have to deal with hundreds of dismayed guests. Along with the location there are other pluses.

The best place for skiing. Get the gondola to the top of the mountain and enjoy the gouges view. Slopes are always well groomed. Staff is always friendly and ready to help. I wish I could visit it more often. Love you Mammoth!

Great place for all levels of expertise. My nephew took lessons and he had a blast. You can rent equipment here if you need to. I loved the fact that the inn where we stayed, you could check in your board overnight.

A great way to send the weekend with friends and family! Some of the best runs in the United States. It can get crowded after a good snowfall to plan ahead when booking lodging and transportation logistics. Pro tip: Check out Mammoth Mountain Inn for easy access to the lifts in the morning!

The best station in California by far except the very crowded SEMA weekends of people.

My go to place for snow fun. We try to come up during the week because the weekends are out of control. Crowds are massive and parking sucks. Especially during holiday weekends. But, if you are willing to brave the holiday rush, it can be worth it. Probably the best snow in California. Hopefully the new operators don't Jack the ticket prices up any higher than they already are.

This is a cool place. Not that big compared to the all the other bigger resorts. The features are cool, though it'd be nice if they got smaller ones as well. The snow is good despite most of it being human made. People were really friendly.

Love Mammoth Mountain! Could use more intermediate park features (no way I'm hitting the huge jumps, but the small ones are so small…) But other than that, great diversity of runs for our mixed-level group. Lots of long run options if that's what you're looking for. Some of my friends won't go to SoCal's Bear mountain anymore now that they've tasted Mammoth. :-P Pretty good shuttle system and you can get anywhere on the mountain via lifts and runs.

This place is great for boarding and skiing. But the snow isn't always the best. The best slopes and lifts to go on are chair 8 to chair 22 to the mill. Then stump alley to gold rush and back to canyon. Then you could do canyon express to high five. Then to mc coy for lunch then go to the summit and take whichever run. P. S. Broke my wrist on upper road runner and lower road runner heading to main lodge.

First time skiing with friends and it was amazing. The mountain is huge with beginner slopes all over the mountain. The lodges are great, good food. Fun very fun.

Brilliant resort, went skiing in August here and it was still brilliant. Also went mountain biking, the bikes they hire out are 10/10 and the trails are great as well. The use of the ski lift is very helpful to get to the trails at the top of the mountain.

This is by far the best ski resort in Southern California. It's a fairly big mountain with lots of good runs for riders of all levels. You can easily spend a few days without having to ski the same runs twice.

There is no better mountain and such a great village. Just want there to work and there broadcast satellite. Lots of new great things happening up there. You might even see yourself live on TV. Some the best skiing I have ever done some the best wide open runs. The staff is phenomenal and very welcoming.

Clean, nice environment, good foods, friendly staffs. Right beside the ski area. It's good to enjoy everything with less crowd before snow season.

Best ski resort on the west coast. I've skied dozens of resorts, but Mammoth Mountain is my favorite. I always feel home there.

Scenery was out of this world room was fabulous staff excellent restaurant closes at 9 which can b awkward but I would highly recommend the whole place is fantastic Sean Wales U. K.

I've skied here many times, but most recently went in August! While the snow was not amazing and there were only two lifts open, I applaud the ownership for staying open this late and staying open every day. If you go in the winter, expect the best terrain of any resort in California.

Great for year-round adventures. I visited in July but skiing and snowboarding was still open. Bike rentals are cheap and fast. The gondola ride to the top was awesome. The view was amazing.

The leather gondola seats are quite comfortable. I feel uplifted from my peasant life; which you rudely reminded me of by closing the half pipe for some "special event". Five stars go to the literal mountain.

Today May 30 tough skiing extremely icy and I was not use to the altitude. I bought my lift ticket and rental skis yesterday very bad idea do not buy anything the day before, Check out the conditions the day you are going to ski, Remember no refunds, the conditions change very quickly. It was raining also. If you are not use to ice be extremely careful I am a Senior but have skied here for years and with the temperature change and no new snow it can be very dangerous. Happy Skiing I do Love Mammoth. And if you want to stay at a great resort try Juniper Springs. We have a full kitchen and a lovely one bedroom. It is the best place I have stayed in all the years I have been coming here.

I skied here on Christmas Eve with my family during the Christmas break. I went with my family to a beautiful ski place. I had a good learning to ski. The food was great but the lines for the food were very long. The snow was soft. Skiing in the snow was easy. The mountain had a Gloriosísima view. The fireworks were wonderful. I had a good time on vacation.

The site is beautiful, is a hotel of skiers mostly and although give good service is a little old.

In a beautiful setting, with snow that never fails. Romantic rooms, where nothing is missing. A welcome and impeccable service. For a weekend for two in the mountains of California is perfect.

The quality of the room itself is fine, but the location is absolutely perfect, just a 2 minute walk to the main lodge. The pool area is great, too. 3 indoor hot tubs that are partitioned off, 1 outdoor hot tub and 1 outdoor heated (lukewarm) pool.

Great location, walking distance to gondola and lifts. Nice original inn vibe. Good food, nice indoor Jacuzzi, and snowboard and boot storage room so you don't have to keep wet equipment in your room. The service put this place above others. Very friendly staff, with shuttles to town and back. They even dug my car out of four feet of snow. Love this place, can't wait to come back!

Good ski resort hotel with a lot of the things you want. Covered parking is a nice touch. Wish there were more dining options because it's isolated up there. There is a shuttle that goes into the village, 4 miles down the road to make it easy to get you and your family into the action without having to drive. GREAT staff! Could not be nicer and more helpful.
