We actually loved it. Good service. Nice balcony room. Kind service. Nice hot full breakfast. One small tile out in tub and a tiny rip in curtain. But all of room was newly remodeled. Clean quiet pretty property. 9+

Great service, nice rooms and Happy Hour at the Posada Royale!

Not impressed. First off, this is NOT a hotel, but a motel… big difference. The hotel was supposedly "recently remodeled", however, you can see from my pics that it appears to be either half done or completed by a very poor contractor. The bathroom had texture over-spray on everything, the drywall was peeling and cracking, paint drip marks on everything, I could go on. Overall, the room didn't feel clean or safe. The free breakfast was terrible. The positive: the beds are comfortable, the water pressure was good, and there's a refrigerator in the room.

Breakfast is good, and is normal for these types of hotels. Parking is free. People are nice. Overall a good value. Just be aware that Simi Valley is not even remotely close to Los Angeles and it's environs. Basically, be sure that you have a car when you stay here.

Booked a group rate/block for a wedding. Sales staff was very helpful and prompt in responding to emails. Everyone enjoyed their stay, and having free breakfast was convenient. Only issue we had was that one guest forgot their toothbrush, and the front desk did not have any complimentary ones… they were out of stock.

Hotel is older, could be nice if maintenance was done and facilities were cared for. Staff is uncaring and generally unhelpful. Traveling with my 85 year old grandmother who has trouble with stairs and a 4 month old baby, staff made no effort to accommodate after I explained to them a second floor room, and no elevator wasn't the best situation. AC in one of two rooms did not work. On complaint was told maintenance would be right up to look at it. 2 hours later when no one had arrived I went to front desk and was told there is no maintenance guy. And was only given another room after I demanded it. Overall just a bad experience for the price. May as well have stayed in a 6…

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were great. The grounds were beautiful. And I wanna give a shout out to Courtney and group sales that helped us with our group booking for our softball team! Courtney thank you again for all your help! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is due to the fact My husband was not able to come down for breakfast I wanted to take breakfast to him in the room. I know breakfast requires tickets and I had an extra ticket for him but it was against policy to take breakfast to the room. Just didn't seem fair to me since the price I'm paying for my stay included complementary breakfast for Everyone in my party. Another item was there was a bit of a crowd For breakfast And a long line was forming. One of the staff members pushed my daughter out the door telling her to move the line And she was trying to as there was a bunch of people rushing to get in. I did not appreciate that happening and that staff member putting their hands on my daughter.

This Best Western exceeded all our expectations. Comfortable room, amazing breakfast, beautiful, well-maintained facility, and great staff. Only improvement would be an elevator to bring luggage to room. We had several large, heavy items to carry up stairs.

Place is updated with a modern look. Check in was easy and staff seemed friendly. When we got to our room it smelled of cigarette smoke. Bad. Asked for another room and we were gladly handed one. Breakfast is good, the grounds are kept pretty neat and the ice maker we passed was super noisy. Other than the room everything was pretty good.

If you want to pretend you’re camping with hundreds of people, this is an option! The walls are so thin you have the opportunity to hear every toilet flush above and beside you (which are louder than you’d expect), showers sound like gushing waterfalls on all sides and the first-level rooms get a nice array of courtyard / pool noise. We could actually hear every word of conversations happening outside (including employees) going LATE into the night (every night) and you can hear footsteps!? The sheets are super crinkly so it really does sound like / feel like a sleeping bag. The pillows are the little square ones (really firm… and tiny) and the towels are so small. The bathtub floor was uneven, just all around not what we expected!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay here for several reasons: 1. Friendly and helpful staff 2. Lovely grounds with roses and other plants 3. A wonderful breakfast with made to order eggs/omelets and a selection of other items which did not repeat the next day. 4. A happy hour with good prices and also free wine during the week 5. A restaurant on site with tasty offerings (limited menu) 6. Convenient location and reasonable price.

I stayed at this hotel for work and I've gotta say it has been a delight. First of all the breakfast is buffet style with great choices that change everyday. There pool and hot tubs are clean and easily accessible. The rooms are designed nicely with AC, TV, fridge, coat racks, and a separate table for working. The bathrooms are neat with great toiletries, and the showers are greats. It is almost staying at a BW plus without the extra cost. I would recommend this place for families and work related visits.

The facilities were decorated nice and everything was clean. The pool and hot tub are located outside but in the center of the center of the hotel so you don't have to stare at the parking lot. Breakfast was decent.

Tried to check in early as we arrived sooner than expected. Sadly we couldn't because our room wasn't yet ready, however no more than 30min later; After leaving to visit nearby areas I received a call that we could come back and check in early as they expedited the readiness of our room! Really happy with the outcome as it was a long drive to get there. Breakfast is decent, served during great hours (allows for some people to sleep in but still make it in with enough time to eat) I would be happy to book here again.

The hotel is convenient to shopping and dining in Simi Valley. The hotel exterior and rooms are very attractive and the front desk employees were friendly and efficient. The hotel is in need of minor maintenance. Our room was in an area that was very noisy due to people walking by and talking loudly in the evening; the doors slam loudly. There isn't much room to place anything up off the floor in both the bedroom or the bathroom. The beds and pillows are very nice. I appreciated the plugs and USB ports on the light bases.

We always enjoy staying here. This is our fourth time staying at this Best Western and it is one of the better ones we've ever stayed in. It isn't going to be anything special or blow you away with their continental breakfast, but the rooms are very clean and spacious, the breakfast is free and is tasty, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi and the pool is a plus if you have kids with you as well.

I had breakfast and dinner. Food was great. For breakfast they have many choices. They made omelet by my choice. The room was clean. The people were very friendly. I certainly recommend for this hotel.

Nice hotel. Very nice staff and excellent amenities. Obviously an older hotel that's been remodeled and upgraded. Bathroom are big but a bit weird because they were an old upgrade. But in general a very nice place for the money. I'd come again.

I have only had dealing with the Events and Catering Manager, and that has been terrific. Barri Rennick is amazing, patient and accommodating. The food is terrific and rivals that of some other large chain hotels. I highly recommend the Best Western Posada Royale.

Staff was wonderful and friendly. Went above and beyond with their service. Room was huge. I felt like I was in a suite. The hotel doesn't have an elevator so we got our exercise. The breakfast was incredible. So many selections you cant even try them all. The omelette was great. I was able to choose from the listed items to put inside and they delivered it to the table. Highly recommend this hotel when doing many of the things in the area.

Great little Best Western nestled in Simi Valley. The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, with an omelet order bar and a great variety. The pool and spa area is lovely and in the center of the hotel. Very clean room with wonderfully updated bathrooms. Next time we are in town for business, this will be our preferred place to stay.

Posada Best Western was a haven after a long day at the Ronald Reagan Memorial Library which is close by. We were immediately impressed with the fresh look of the lobby. We especially loved the fresh baked cookies awaiting us on the check in counter. The staff was warm and efficient. A young man named Jorge was just a delight in getting us settled in our accommodations. The room we encountered was tastefully decorated in calm and soothing colors. The bed mattress was firm and comfortable! We have to mention the fantastic SHOWER HEAD. We have never experienced such an incredible soothing flow of water. The breakfast was another perk at this hotel. We were treated to the cooks creating our designed omelet. That is really terrific and is included in the cost. Thank you Best Western Posada. We shall return and pass on our perfect experience to others seeking a great place to rest in that area!

The staff is very friendly, always a smile. The place is comfortable and clean. The rooms could use some remodeling, walls and fixtures have taken a beating. The furniture is in great shape though. Some rooms are better than others. We stay weekly for business. The pool and spa are always clean. Mostly pretty quiet weeknights, which is great when you gotta get up early for work.

The Best Western Posada Royale is in a great location in Simi Valley. The breakfast was outstanding, so many choices, and delicious, too! The staff there were friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room very clean and well organized. We had stayed there in the past, when we went to the Ronald Reagan museum, so we remembered how nice it was. We will return again. Great hotel!

I was hesitant staying here because of its name. But it was last minute and didn't have much choices. The staff is great and rooms are wonderful. Definitely will think of staying at these properties in the future.

Very nice place to stay. Attractive rooms and decor. Staff is friendly and helpful. No elevator so make sure you book far enough in advance to get a first floor room. Also, while I was there, the Wi-Fi was very flaky so don't plan on watching Netflix on your laptop or surfing the web expecting a responsive browse. Nice location with lots of great places to eat nearby (except for the Chinese restaurant next door). Very close to Reagan's Presidential Library, which is a great place to visit, just schedule well ahead of time. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast is good.

I really can't say enough about how well I was treated. Chris G. Went above and beyond making me feel welcome. He was genuine too! This place is 5 star all the way. It's only $27 more than Motel 6 but the difference is enormous. The wonderful breakfast and the rooms are really very nice. Highly recommend.

The rooms were outdated and being remodeled. There were holes in the walls, doors did not seal properly (could see the light between the door and frame), and found bugs (spider, beetle) in my room. The food was very good! The guacamole was the best! I was there for a conference and needed Wi-Fi, but it was down the entire week of my stay. The outdoor hot tub is wonderful — — very relaxing. The landscaping is pretty. Nestled among the hills, it is a peaceful place to stay, near shopping and nice restaurants.

I was shocked by how amazing it was! Very updated, nicely decorated and the staff was so friendly! The breakfast was fantastic as well! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Simi valley!

Definitely low quality of rooms but for the low price and location, I guess you get what you pay for. The front desk lady said our cousins and us would have neighboring rooms so we were very excited and then she said one of their AC was broken so we ended up at Opposite ends of the hotel. That was a definitely bummer since we came out to visit them and hangout w them as much as possible. Also the room itself looked like they put makeup on a pig because the furniture was modern but the paint job and rusty floors were nasty. Finally, the ceiling was falling apart from old school pieces up there; I don't even know how to explain it. Next time I'll pay a little more for a little better quality of stay.

They service is really good. The room was really clean and neatly presented. Love the art work and it feels very warm. The tub/shower is really nice and deep I can soak in is comfortably. My room has a balcony with a great view of the mountains and pool area. There has been no notice to speak of and it has been very relaxing.

We were initially excited to book our family trip here since trip advisor rated it the hotel in Simi Valley! Perhaps, if the stay was shorter and with 1-2 travellers, this hotel MIGHT deserve a 3-star rating. Let me list down why this hotel received a 2-star rating from an 8-day stay, family of 4 travellers. First, during check-in, we were granted an early check-in time since we came from out of town (Cleveland to be exact), and we were with our 6-yr. And 3-yr. Old kids. " Hallelujah! ", I initially thought. Ana (sp.? ) even stated that we should give them a 5-star rating just for that! From that point on, everything was downhill. Why? When asked to present a card for check-in, I gave my debit card. Ana did not disclose that if a debit card was used for the transaction, it will hold the entire amount of the stay! When asked to clarify that, Terri B. (the manager) came in to explain. It didn't help that while Terri was explaining, she tapped (IMO, condescendingly) on the notice placed on the check-in counter. Weary travels tend to overlook posted and written things since the goal is to get to their room first. This frustration could have been avoided if they have clarified VERBALLY FIRST prior to charging our card, and not ASSUME that every guest is aware of this notice. Second, the room we got was decent. However, it was evident that the renovations were hurriedly done, and looked shoddy. We didn't mind since we only stayed there for resting and sleeping purposes.

Great place. As someone who likes to be comfortable when I travel. I don't need an amazing spa resort, but a spot to relax and wind down til the next day. Best Westerns are always clean, fair on price and the staff is always polite. Easily the best place to stay for the price. Nothing else can compare.

Beautiful hotel, even while in the midst of a complete remodel. Breakfast was sumptuous with the ability to get omelet or egg dishes other than scrambled in a warning dish (that was available too. Rooms were average size with a small bathroom but full tub and shower (with a great soothing shower head). Staff was kind and attentive.

The noise was unbearable. They tearing apart the pool right out side our room and they turned off the water while they were doing it so I couldn't take a shower or go to the bathroom with out any notice. The rooms smelled I don't know what. I will never stay here again even after they finish redo the pool.

Stupid update! When an employee runs out of the office and yells at you … "we are not pet friendly! " before even looking on the books to see if there are any registered service animals in the building!? Or asking you the appropriate question… is that a service animal? I never got an apology … So I will not be back here if I have anything to do with it! Staff ❓❔. People need to know… If you see somebody with a dog AND if THAT K9 is not acting stupid and being a good baby just leave me alone PLEASE! AND do not stay in Rm 270 or any part of that corner! If that motor on the first floor DONT keep u awaKE (YOU MUST HAVE bad hearing? ) the SlaMiNg OPEN hall door downstairs will have u jUmPinG out of bed! And the breakfast were UNDER cooked and cold! Thank gawd for the live omelet cheffete! U go girl! and why little girls tea cups for adult coffee? TV Chanel Guide in desk draw is NOT correct! The ice machine is out of order with no out of order sign half the staff doesn't even speak English let alone understand it! other than that The room was clean and there are no bedbugs! There was one maintenance man and one maid that was very nice very friendly! The Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting itself so why even have it? I'm sorry I'm so negative.

The hotel and rooms could use a little refurbishing. Everything feels a little dated. The free breakfast has a lot of options (eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereal…) but none of it is good. The layout of the rooms is a bit confusing, and you may get lost a few times before you figure it out. With in a few blocks there are restaurants and groceries but nothing in walking distance. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This is a serviceable low cost step up from a motel, but personally I won't be staying there again.

The hotel is a beautiful looking place and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful the room were whatever.

I don't know where all these people leaving good reviews stayed, but it couldn't have been this hotel. The security here is a joke. From 8 in the morning until 10 at night there is a damn concert going on outside all the windows. It is sooo loud here. The pool is full of local kids because there are no gates to get into the hotel center. Nothing. Anyone can just walk right in. This hotel is clean and the maids do a great job but that is all this hotel has going for it. For a 180 dollar a night suite, you would think you could get a little quiet and security, but no. Will not be staying here again. English people. Learn it or leave.

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions when I work in the area. The rooms are always clean and spacious. Standard fare as far as amenities go, a microwave, coffee machine, and fridge. I have had one room where the Wi-Fi was a little slow, however everything other time I could stream video with no problems. Breakfast is above par. Fitness room has a recumbent bike, treadmill, and some free weights and bench. Plenty of parking available at the property and have never had a problem finding any.

Had to go through 2 other rooms before getting a room that was ready the 3rd time. TV didn't work.

We rented one of the suites as we were attending a formal event at the Reagan library. The room was clean and nice no complaints.

I was there for a company event. The refreshments offered were of good variety and the service was good.

Excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel itself seems a bit older and doesn't have an elevator for upper level, but is overall comfortable.

Small joint in the middle of nowhere. Lack of distractions makes it easy to focus on why you're there. I was there for a training/conference thing that was pretty cool, except for the fact that, you know, it was in Simi Valley. The only time I've ever had the opportunity to attend one of these things in my own home town was when New Media Expo was in Los Angeles in 2012. Now that was nice, because my accommodations were my own bed. My travel, just a drive downtown. I don't even need to get on a freeway to go downtown. Somehow it's easier to digest that stuff when you're driving home every day after the sessions. Being stuck in another city with a bunch of other conference attendees who are all going as stir-crazy as you are. It's just a recipe for blank disappointment and the picking up of a cheap cold or flu. So yeah, Simi Valley Best Western. I guess they had croissants? I don't know, I didn't eat any hotel food. The room would have pleased grandma, with all the golden brassy mirrory fluffy comforts of (someone's) home. But then you expect a little bit of grandma at Best Western, so it's all good.

We loved this hotel. We were to stay only for one night but ended up staying longer. Rooms are clean and renovated (we stayed in two different rooms) and breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed omelet the chef made for us and fruit was very fresh! Definitely would stay at BW again.

Terri was so friendly when I called. Although we had yet to meet, she knew who I was and treated me like she had known me forever. She and her staff are so accomodating and friendly, and they all seem to appreciate my business. Thank you, all.

It was gorgeous, we got a great deal on our hotel room. The first room we went into smelled like someone had gone to the bathroom and it stunk. The manager immediately gave us a new room and apologized. The bathroom is gorgeous, the water pressure is fine, it is clean, very safe. 45 minutes to Malibu but the highway to get there is gorgeous. There free Continental breakfast is incredible by the way.

I've been to dozens of 5 star hotels — this place is great! — clean, comfortable, well appointed (fridge, micro, coffee mach, endless REALLY hot and cold water, good air-temp control, free internet, comfy beds) free FULL brkfast, warm cookies in the afternoon, wine (even a port) and cheese in the evening, Everything was perfect. Just perfect! and a great restaurant with a HUGE menu in the same parking lot! Can't say enough.
