Review of The Mayfair Hotel Los Angeles 3*

What I was told would be a newly renovated room for me to stay in was obviously unfinished. There was one light in the room and it was the hallway light. There was another light fixture hanging in a corner but there was literally nowhere to plug it in. The bathroom doors were just shutters that you pulled together for minimal privacy. There was no shower curtain. Not a single bar of soap and towels so small you couldn't even dry off your leg with them. The "closet" was a small opening with PIPES running across it with no hangers. You just have to drape your clothes over the PIPES or cram them in drawers that get stuck. The room was freezing and the heater didn't work. The front desk ignored me every time I requested assistance. When I checked in the front desk girl charged my debit card for $100 which was never returned to my bank account. When I checked out the front desk girl charged my credit card for the full amount, & I was recently made aware that she charged my credit card twice and they never caught it. I called to complain that they charged me for parking even though it was supposed to be included with my room and that's when they realized they charged my credit card twice. Everyone at this hotel was rude. One of the front desk boys was drinking a 24 ounce beer riding around in the elevators and then when he was noticed by people staying in the hotel he proceeded to continue to drink outside in the parking lot. There were exposed wires and torn up carpet and unfinished renovations all over this hotel. You couldn't pay me to stay at the Mayfair again and I hope I get a full refund soon. How pathetic.
