Decent. You get what you pay for. Clean room and has breafast. This hotel has no elevator.

It was right beside a mc donalds and right across from a strip mall. Very close to highway but still quiet. The place is aging though, bathroom tap and fan didnt work well.

Got the non smoking room, but the hallway definitely smelled like smoke. Otherwise everything was as expected. Location was good, free breakfast and Wi-Fi.

It's a budget hotel. You get what you pay for. It covered our need for a bed for the night so I can't complain, and had breakfast in the morning so it saved us an extra trip.

Amazing staff and helpful in my time if need stayed there 19 days. Blessings to the entire staff from Kimber.

Nice people, decent rooms, and the usual Super 8 amenities. Could use better maintenance: furniture was worn, windows were dirty, microwave was ancient, and the recliner was a nice touch, but it barely worked. Odd building layout as well: on one side the view is of a McDonald's drive-through, the other side's view is the back of another motel, with the parking lot and entrance in the rear of the property. Slept well, will likely be back.

Good but don't book online there are better save if you call the place in person.

No complaints. My stay was ok.

Missed room service a few days but was overall a great stay.

Super 8s to me in Hollywood where I am from, are usually the run down party type motels, never really kept up and pretty damn yucky. But I will say that this one here is actually the cleanest super 8 ive ever been to. And to be specific, the weekend Housekeeping staff are absolutely the most helpful, hardworking, prompt and friendly, people. This super 8 is super clean and cool. They go above and beyond to fulfill your needs. I love ALL of the front desk staff, they are ridiculously cool, helpful and awesome. The 2 rooms i've been in are super clean and I love that the rooms have a refrigerator and microwave because I have a few babies that always need milk or snacks. I love the little continental breakfast in the morning. The rooms are already a great price and with breakfast added in it makes it that much better. Gunitolli Lane is a strip of alot of hotels and motels in arcata so I will say be aware of a few homeless people here and there… I have personally never been bothered or felt threatened in any kind of way but some people may not like that, so Aside from that I would definitely suggest this super 8 if you want a cheap, comfortable, bedbug and and any kind of bug, overnight stay out here in arcata here is where its at. No bugs, clean, friendly staff, morning breakfast, cheap, and great for a short trip to travel through humboldt!

Very dirty, dusty and smelly. Lots of mold in bathrooms. Gone downhill fast. Was a nice place to stay this summer.

One of the cheapest motels and provides a light breakfast. Also takes pets for a small fee. Not fabulous accommodations, but good value. Main complaint is that they use strongly scented cleaning products, so hall and room really smell.

I always stay at Super 8. I'm not picking at all. But this place was kinda terrible. The bed was so uncomfortable. The tub was really worn away. The general ambiance outside made you feel like you were on a crime scene waiting to happen. Again. I love Super 8. Just not this one.

This is, hands down, the best Super 8 I've ever stayed at. The staff was so friendly and helpful, even when we arrived at 4am. The entrance to the room was on the inside like a hotel. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. Plus, they included an amazing hot continental breakfast with coffee, toast, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and diy waffles.

Rooms outdated… Homeless sleeping near room windows and doing drugs. Beds are not comfortable. Just not for me… also did not appreciate mcdonalds drive thru so close to the building and hearing that constantly. But thats just me.

Bed was comfotable, breakfast adequate. Front desk help friendly. Very dated. Not super clean. Door to bath held together with glue. Marijuana smoke from vents in bathroom (into my nonsmoking room). Panhandlers at exit and around the hotel. Very tiny dining area in lobby, way too crowded to sit and eat. Hard to find hotel entrance in the dark.

Horrible management. Price gouging for graduation weekend… goes from 85 per nt to 280! Called to cancel reservation for that weekend one day after the cancellation deadline due to illness… still told I was to pay $585! Incredibly unfair! Manager would not answer email or telephone.

Excellent place to go on holiday.

I gave it a 3 because of the staff the two girls that were working or very helpful polite and friendly always at thank you that alone is worth a star. This place is a little older no pool no hot tub. Your morning waffles and coffee on the house.

Our first room smelled really bad and the TV didn't work. They gave us a new room (no fuss which was great) but the entire hallway walk to get there smelled like weed and stale cigarettes. Started to get a headache and sick to my stomach from the smell while inside the room. Got a refund and got out of there quick.

Next to a 24 hour McDonald's dive thru that is kinda loud, but otherwise wasn't bad.

Gritty… lots of sketchy people in and around the place. Definitely not the sort of place to leave anything valuable in your room. Not the cleanest Super 8 I've stayed in either. It's cheap and it's a place to stay but I'd look elsewhere in the future.

For the price and the area, honestly, I couldn't complain too much. It smelled like weed inside the lobby and the hallway, but the room itself was clean and smelled great. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, they made a slight error (thought we were staying for one day, not two) as when they corrected the issue they gave us a 10% discount. Breakfast was tasty but somewhat limited in variety. All around decent hotel, inexpensive and accommodating!

It should have been an indication when the first thing we smelled upon entering the hallway was weed. As we walked to our room from the west end to the far east end of the building, the smell did diminish leading us to believe it was just an issue at the west end. Boy were we wrong. I don't know how smoke can get through floors and walls but somehow, it does. Our room absolutely reeked of grass most of the night. We called down to the desk to let them know about it but didn't hear if anything was done. With the windows open the smell disappated some by morning (or we just got used to it). But it seemed that our downstairs neighbour also liked to toke up first thing in the morning too. As we came back from breakfast we could smell it strong by the first floor door right beneath our room. And when we got upstairs our room reeked again. Add onto that the yelling by the bus stop out front, some kind of fight beneath our window at 3am, and the general run down nature of the place, this is a definite do not recommend from us.

The Super 8 was magnificent! It wasn't mice in the shower and the TV worked, but it didn't have HBO.
When I was a kid, I had a dream of a place. This place was close to a Chinese Buffet, a Rays market, and a McDonald's. This is this place. My dream is done.
