I have stayed here a few times and always had a great experience but the last time I stayed here the regular rooms were sold out and they only had the double beds which were more expensive.
I ended up getting put in room which is an ADA room with a large bathroom and a tile floor and there's no carpet in the room and has a wood floor
when I opened the door to my room I was greeted with extremely strong pungent chemical smells from cleaning products
I immediately closed the bathroom door and try to stick it out but in the end I think there were chemicals on the wood floor too and I got quite sick because I'm asthmatic. I fled the room at 5am, exhausted, not having a nights rest. It took about 5 days for my lungs to recover from the toxic chemicals in the cleaning products.

I stayed here several years ago and it, along with a trip to Bodie was one of the highlights of my life. The proprietors were so friendly and kind and the motel was perfect. It’s a dream to get back there someday!

This place is rad! One of the places that makes Bridgeport so special.

Staff was kind and gave us nice ideas of things to do in the area! We stayed in the RV and it had adequate space and was comfortable for us. Great place to stay for a night!

We stayed there two nights. The location is pretty good, close enough to the town. The room was small, simple and old but clean. The price was a bit expensive for the room quality but the staff is friendly.

Be prepared for VERY small rooms, office staff was very nice but take a very LONG lunch. While we were there they took lunch from 11:30 to 2:30. Maintenance guy was super nice and has a sweet dog named Angel. The room was VERY clean. Our house keeper was also very nice.

Decent place to stay if you're just crashing for the night. Friendly staffs and they are very nice. This place was better than Howard Johnson in Lake Tahoe where I stayed the night after.

Wonderful place to stay in Bridgeport. Very hospitable hosts. They offered juice and sweet rolls for mornings, ice for your cooler, and free Wi-Fi. There are outside sitting areas in the shade for relaxing. The only downside is that they back up to a busy street and are on Hwy 395. There is quite a bit of traffic noise.

Motel okay for a night passing through. Bedding a little tired.

The stay was fine. For the price I paid, I've stayed in a much better motel at a more busy city/town. The man at the reception was cordial and the check in and check out process was quick. We were offered some juice and snacks for the next morning, while check in. The location of the motel is right at the beginning of the strip. All the bars, groceries, restaurants are walkable from the motel. The size of the room was fine for 2 people. I must say that the room was noisy because of the neighbors AC, and a bit of noise from the street. One of the night lamps in the room wasn't working. The room had a microwave, tv, mini fridge, coffee machine and a small table with chairs. It would've been great if the room rent was lower.

Unpretentious, this Motel is OK value for money.

Quirky fun atmosphere. Room was cleaned a little late, but over all great stay.

When we drive to Tahoe to see family we always stay at the Redwood Motel, it is our halfway point. The people are very friendly and the rooms are very nice.

Good clean, close to everything down town, Bridgeport. The help there is quick to answer those questions that you sometimes have when traveling.

5 star for a budget hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was friendly! What more could you ask for.

Needs updating. Could be cleaner. Carpet stains. Basic necessities like hot water and a bed.

This truly is a wonderful place to stay… CLEAN room, FRIENDLY staff, GREAT location… within walking distance of restaurants. BEAUTIFUL back drop… We have been on the road for 6 weeks and I can say this is one of the BEST.

Staff is friendly and room was clean. Staff readily supplies rags for cleaning fishing tackle or bugs from your motorcycle helmet. Mattress quality was not great but that was expected to an extent. Rooms have free Wi-Fi and great TV options, which I never had the chance to use.

Hone style feel. The beds were good. But the whole place was set up for fishers! The outdoor patios rocked too.

''BE WARNED''! Went to tell the owner at 5;15 am. That we were going fishing and were going to be out of cell range at twin lakes and that we wanted to stay another night. The office was dark. So the sign in the door said ''ring bell for assistance'' … the grumpy old man owner came down opened the door. We said we are sorry if we woke you up. The grumpy old man owner came out got straight in our face and said ''FUCK YOU''! We simply stated we were just trying to inform him not to mess with our room we wanted to stay another night … He said ''HELL NO! ''' ''YOU ARE NOT STAYING ANOTHER NIGHT! … GET YOUR FUCKING SHIT AND GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE RIGHT NOW! '' I have never ever been treated by a business in all my life like this!,, Very very very unprofessional! in fact I am going to contact the mayor of Bridgeport and launch a complaint on this complete dickhead! don't stay there period! its definitely not worth the money! air con. Doesn't work right either and the place is pretty much a dump for a $122.00 a night!

I was surprised how clean the rooms were when we arrived, even though the place is very dated. The room was really small as well as the bathroom… barely enough room for one person and I am 5"3 120 pounds. Air conditioner was a plus as well as the people running the place. Very friendly, quiet and a great stay for a small town. Had great food downtown… within walking distance.

Good place in a quiet small town. Room was very clean, didn't smell bad or anything. Bed was good as well. If you are looking for a modern Hilton this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a quick rest between the road trip, this makes your day. Couple of good places to eat almost next to the motel. The owner told us that there are hot springs only in 10 minutes drive. That was brilliant :).

Quaint but affordable. Manager is nice and accommodating. Room for $64 in April was very reasonable. Nice parking lot and clean rooms.

Paid $179 for a $50-quality room! This motel is OLD and outdated. We got a room that was supposed to have 2 queen beds — — they were double beds. Room was fairly clean, but very plain-Jane, and CRAMPED! Not a comfortable stay by any means. Their idea of "continental breakfast" is to send you to your room in the evening with a couple of packs of hot chocolate, and packaged icky rolls that looked like they'd been sitting on a grocery-store shelf for a year. Even the kids wouldn't eat them, and my teenage boys eat anything. We had to take the "breakfast" to our room in the evening because they didn't want to have to open the office in the morning. We had to leave the room key in a box outside at 10:00 am because the office still wasn't open, and we HAD to be checked out by 11am. Do NOT bother stopping here — — there are other properties in town that would have been a MUCH BETTER stay for $180.

Fantastco. The place is rustic but the owner is great.
