Great atmosphere with good burgers.

We were going to eat dinner here but it was so pricy we couldn’t afford dinner. We did spend the night in this historic inn and it harkens back to the days when lodgers were treated with respect. The staff was fantastic, the rooms reasonably priced and the accommodations, although old-school were great. Like spending a night in the 1800s, with modern amenities. Be warned, some rooms have communal bathrooms. Although the Inn could use newer, better working air units, I highly recommend an overnight stay!

Hawaiin style lemon herbed chicken is the best I've ever had!

Restaurant on location, terrible service but decent food. If you only spend time in your room to sleep, accommodations are very spartan! However; I got a good nights sleep.

We always get the Tbone dinner with mixed veggies and a baked potato and split it. Comes with great garlic toast. This trip we ordered the lava cake with ice cream and took it up to our room to watch the Titanic. Perfect start to hubby's birthday weekend.

Great dinner! I was skeptical about the house wine but it was really good. Dinner was a huge portion! The carrots… amazing!

I like the room clean and comfortable and the restaurant itself nice location. I will be back next time.

The bar was lovely, the food great, the room clean and comfortable, the staff were all friendly, helpful and professional — we enjoyed ourselves! Will come again. The surrounding country is gorgeous.

History. Quirky. Just what I needed to reset after a week in the wilderness: a bed, hot water, and quiet. It’s an old building with very unique style. Really kind staff. Office wasn’t open late, but check-in was smooth sailing. The real gems are the huge mugs for coffee at their breakfast spot and the bar on the 1st level. Make sure you visit the Travertine Hot springs; just 6 minutes away.

I didn't stay the night there but had breakfast on the way out to Yosemite. The place is setting in a very cute and quaint rustic house turned into a business (not what you think it is). Friendly, polite service seems to be a dying attribute these days. The Bridgeport Inn/Restaurant's staff are always accommodating and helpful. The food wasn't bad either. If you do stay the night there you get a generous discount at the restaurant.

We ate dinner here twice during our stay in Bridgeport. The food and the service were great both times. I had the Grandma's Pot Roast which is a house specialty. I loved the ambience: it is a venerable property with a fascinating history. While I was eating there, I talked to the hotel staff and ound out that they have very reasonably priced, dog friendly accommodations. Their dining room, lobby and common areas are tastefully appointed with antique furnishings. You almost feel you'll bump into Mark Twain coming down the stairs.

We were very pleased with our visit to the Bridgeport Inn. We had a very good dinner. Very surprised to find calamari that was excellent and hot wings also excellent wonderful service. The waiter was very efficient the whole staff was very pleasant will worth the stop and we will be sure we'll do it again when they come through town thank you.

Their breakfast is very nice, they have a simple menu, at reasonable prices for the breakfast. The service is good, and the decor emphasizes the historic quality of the inn.

Very good dining in a small town. Food is fresh, typically simply done, generous portions (the mashed potatoes are real) and the service is friendly and not intrusive. Good value for the meals.

Old and quaint. I liked it. Some may be turned off by lack of modernity.

Very Clean! A quiet hotel, with all the necessities! There’s a porch off the room so you enjoy the creek, watch little cottontail rabbits and enjoy yourself. Close to coffee shops, has a pool and hot tub!

Friendly front desk staff and neat rooms with good heater. Check-in is easier due to digital keypad entry. Only concern is, the room walls are very thin, so you the sounds will be annoying for light sleepers early morning. Also there's no microwave oven and mini fridge. We're fine with that but other guests may or may not feel good. Overall our stay was pleasant.

Fancy place with great service. The bar doesn't assault your senses with bad music or lighting. Foods great.

It's a good hotel with a decent amount of historical significance. When I went there last year in October, I enjoyed the hotel and the food. The decor looks like a time capsule to the early 1900s. Wifi could be better.

I come here nearly every time I drive through here. Good place for breakfast and dinner. The food is made well, although some of it could definitely be of more quality. I would recommend this place if someone asked for places to eat around Bridgeport. I would not go out of the way for this place, though.

Very friendly people even when extremely busy. Had a great dinner and excellent service. The Inn is very old and quaint making our stay a bit nostalgic of years gone by. My only concern is I did not know that the room I reserved online at a GREAT price was what they call one of their "Cowboy" rooms. That means that there is NO heat or a bathroom in the room. (Cowboys don't need very much) They offered us an upgrade to a heated room with a bathroom and a TV for only an additional $20. That was no problem, but I did feel a bit mislead. The temperature dropped to 17 degrees that night, so we were really glad to have the heat.

Lovely place to stay… takes you back in the old days… bit hot. No air conditioner. Like in the old days. Open windows would fix the heat… but I did not matter… Place was fantastic. Clean… Lovely staff… very well recommended.

Beautiful historic location, restaurant has good food and great service. Beers from bar are fresh and cold. Will stop again for sure.

Have not stayed at the Inn but have eaten quite a few meals there, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food is excellent in quantity and qualty. The service is fast and personnel are very friendly. Very u ain't dinning room.

Dinner and drinks for a private party. Nice facilities, beautiful lawn area outside. Great atmosphere. Great experience.

Our stay was very nice but my dealings with management for a $35 overcharge was so bad it totally negated and positivity. I was given a room upgrade on site without being told. When I got back from vacation I noticed the upcharge and called to complain. They said I was notified and agreed to the upgrade, which I WAS NOT and DID NOT, and even if I wasn't told I surely would have if given the chance. I would NOT have! He only refunded me because I didn't give in but EVERY SINGLE TIME he responded to me he had to get the last word in saying I probably would have upgraded. VERY unprofessional. I could have stayed in Lee Vining for the more expensive price and been closer to Yosemite. Next time I DEFINITELY will.

For a place that has tons of signage about how fresh and delicious their beef is, the frozen paddy Western Burger was disappointing. The white plate showing between the few waffle cut sweet potato fries was not a problem because I couldn't eat all of them due to them being so hard. If your driving through this town pick one of the other Burger places.

Had a family style dinner with our 3 young kids. Very friendly waiters and good food. My 10 ounce rib eye was delicious. For Europeans and Asians, this is what you may expect as a typical American, decent restaurant in a rural area.

Happy to report john tracked us down to apologize. We all make mistakes but to find someone and admit your doing and ask for forgiveness is awesome. Thank you John! DO NOT EVER STAY HERE! Bridgeport inn with John Peters is a FAT ASS WIPE! Brought my small dog into the room in his crate to wait for the car to cool down. Front desk called and said no dogs. I told them I would bring him down. When my husband brought the dog down John told us we had 15 minutes to be out at 11:20 pm or he would call the sheriff! To top it off he and an old town drunk/ tweeter followed us out threatening me until my husband turned around, then they both shut their fat mouths! John then yelled "Do you even know who my family is! " Like we should know or care. So here we are looking for a room!

Much nicer and cleaner than expected. Nothing extra included, kind of a disappointment at the price. Breakfast was not included, but was decent.

Historic, yes… comfortable, no. So hot in the rooms. No air conditioning. I asked for a fan and they refused even though one was standing idle in the lobby. The method of cooling was by open window. Unfortunately there is a rowdy bar across the street and patrons hoop and collar til closing. Then the come into the inn and have sex. The rooms all have Windows above the doors to allow the air to flow but that means everybody hears everything. I would avoid in the summer. Too uncomfortable.

The heart of Bridgeport! I love the people here and the relaxed atmosphere. The food is great and prices are reasonable. Nice for a sit down dinner in the dining room or bar area if fast food is wearing you down.

More like a boarding house. It was a cowboy room with shared bathroom and shower. The entire floor shares it. Room only has one power outlet and is extremely small. The rooms are very hot and has NO air conditioning, not even a fan.

Relatively inexpensive for the area during summer. There is a nice ambience to the place but the rooms are VERY small and shared bathrooms are definitely a minus. The staff was polite and cheerful so no complaints there, except for a lady in white at the night desk who ignored me when I requested help with a smoke detector that wouldn't stop chirping…

Ok when I called I asked about military discount and was told to present card at desk original price was 65 dollars so when I got there I showed card and lady claimed already was taken off b4 I got there well I was still charged the register price, we got there little early so they did let us check in earlier then the normal check in time so that's the 1 star, we went to our room and we knew the lady had couple more things to do she swept the floor and left saying she would return to put pillow cases on our pillows well we left for over 5 6 hours come back and no pillow covers and the pillows still sitting on the ledge by window so we had to go down and get our own pillow cover and then notice 1 pillow had big hole in it so had to go get it replaced and was asked what u do have a pillow fight. The place smelled kind of musty people above us were jumping like they were on a trampoline. Every other hotel supplied more then enough towels but this one we had 2 one for me. One for fiancee. I know when we return down to that area I would pick any place b4 this one again, now I will say the lady that checked us in was nice.

Stayed there during my hike on the Pct 2015. Rooms were great… the staff even helped with my injury.

I wanted to stay at the Bridgeport Inn because of the White Lady ghost. I love ghost stories. However we were placed in the motel next to the inn and not in the actual inn so if you are going to ghost hunt ask for a room in the inn. Our room was old but clean. Not luxury at all but ok for one night. Not many places to eat in the town and the hotel restaurant was not open, we were starving after a long car ride. Luckily we had snacks in the car. The bar staff was really rude we took our dog out for a walk then my friend when into the inn to check out some brochures. The bar staff was really rude, she said "are you staying here? I said yes she said "what room? " I told her then she just turned around and when into the bar saying "I hate how people think they can just walk in here" walk in hear? We were staying there. So much for getting drinks…

Bad! Would rather be back in any hostel, where I was previously. We have 2 nights spent here. The only positive thing was the free Parking. The room was barely larger than the small bed with a bad mattress. Clean it was not. There was no electrical outlet in the room. It was not to darken. I know gaenicht where I start and stop… let the best stay away from this accommodation.

“Extremely Rude” My husband and I were in Bridgeport on July 4, a very busy day. We have a cabin nearby so we have eaten at the restaurant many times. Food is just okay but the atmosphere makes up for it. The waitress told us it would be a 45 min wait. Okay. We went and did some shopping and got back in 40 min. She said she had called for us but we were not there so we now had to wait another 45 min. (Did I mention this place has an overpriced bar? ) I told her I thought it was "unfair" to wait another 45 min and would like the first 2 person table. I was not angry or anything since the fireworks were still hours away. I told her I would check back in about 15 min and wait in the bar. When I came back to check the manager/owner said he would not serve us and that we had to leave immediately. I asked why. He accused me of swearing at his waitress. Well, I'm a professional psychologist and would never swear at a waitress. My husband and the guy who was also waiting backed me up. I have no idea what this guy's problem was, but he needs some help.

HORRIBLE, DISGUSTING, RUDE, UNSANITARY, BAD SERVICE! DO NOT STAY HERE! Google needs to make negative stars available just for this place. Long story short, what a terrible experience; my wife and I did not stay for even 10min. After telling the motel staff about the room, they became very rude. John (staff), claims he's been working that motel for 15years+ and this is the first complaint; what a joke! Still fighting them now about a refund! They had the nerve to charge me anyways. Do your self a favor and stay far away from this place.

Built in 1877 with not much changes. Interesting place back in the past but way overpriced for what you get.

Food good. But the price for the rooms with floor is real bathrooms usury. No TV, breakfast, air conditioning, etc. Very small rooms.

Best of the best in the most wonderful place on earth. Grab a Jolly Cone across the street and watch a hockey game in the bar.

Walked in and waited for dinner but overheard, "just put in my last ticket so I'm closing". We politely asked for dinner but they turned us away. Thought about staying the night but that changed our mind. Quiet little town and beautiful sights. You'd think another dollar was still worth a dollar. We went to the Redwood Motel instead and it was reasonable and friendly.

Shared Bath Roms and no power outlets and no air conditioning in the rooms. After asking the staff we checked 4 other room and none had outlets. Rooms are tiny. On the good side: staff is very nice and the sharen bathrooms are clean.

Way over price for this poorly equiped rundown old motel. We paid $110 for each room. Furniture is old and poor condition, no coffee maker, no breakfast.
