Good value. Rooms are spacious and practical. A fridge and iron too is provided with in room coffee and tea. No safe in room though. Rooms are being renovated in phases currently and that should take care of the old carpeting. Location is super, very central and lots of restaurants in the vicinity.

Clean, quiet room. But no pool.

The prices are decent and the staff is friendly. The morning meal is lovely.

Very nice at check in, but then the roaches. We were moved to another room on another floor. She (ECL) said "the roaches don't usually come out until it is cold. And it is not cold. " Not surprised at all. Next morning, my son's wedding day, a roach crawled across the bathroom floor. I booked with PRICELINE — what a joke. Don't stay here unless you don't mind a few roaches.

Location is great. Right in downtown Davis. Rooms were lacking. Drawers fell out of the dresser. Lots of small bugs crawling on the bathroom sink and counter. Lots of stains in the carpets. Broken electrical outlet and switch covers. The list goes on, but it's cheap and you get what you pay for.

The place is in a great location, right downtown, suited our needs quite well. It's cheap, which is great, but it does feel cheap. If you won't be spending much of your stay at the inn, it's a good deal for penny pitchers. Big plus: the internet speed was really great, I clocked around 30 Mbps down, 10 Mbps up speeds during a speed test!

Worst hotel in Davis. I've been to many countries and I have never stayed in a place full of cockroaches, bad service and rotten food for breakfast.

Had an unfortunate experience in which the hotel said that I was supposed to check in the day after I arrived! My confirmation email said I had reserved four nights, starting on the day that I arrived. Their system said that I had reserved three nights, starting the day after I arrived… and I didn't learn all of this until I arrived at the hotel! After 3 hours on the phone with corporate (and claims of completely full rooms) the front desk woman came out and eventually said that they "moved someone from their room to the Best Western" a few blocks over. No, they had an extra room and refused to give it to me for over 3 hours! Other than that, the experience was okay. The rooms were musty and outdated, but not bad at all for the price. The breakfast was mediocre at best, with pre-packaged scones, off-brand cheerios/corn flakes, and a small room. The maid only came once to refresh towels/make bed/take out trash during our stay. The towels were rough and smelled strongly of bleach — I even received one with long hairs embedded in it. It's about a mile walk from the Mondavi Center on the UC Davis campus, which was where most of our time was spent. Walkable, but you probably will only want to walk when it's cool out. There are restaurants, bars, banks, etc all within walking distance of the hotel. It has on-site parking as well (no additional charge).

Within 10 minutes of entering our room, we killed four cockroaches. One was so big, we had trouble flushing it down the toilet. There were many more outside the room, and I'm sure there were more that we didn't see in the room. If I weren't so tired, I probably would have tried to find another place to stay the night. It also smelled funky. It's now 12:33 am. I hope I make it through the night.

The location was great. Seated in downtown Davis, the Econolodge was near great food and bars. Unfortunately, my door lock kept being funky (not opening), but the staff were quick to respond and give me a new key. "Econo" is in the name. Don't expect anything fancy.

Great price and room. The rooms look newly remodeled and there is a nice small breakfast included.

Great for my dad visiting.

The place was really clean. Excellent location. Two blocks from whole foods and restaurants. Great price!

I've stayed here a few times now and the rooms are always clean, never really any noise and the staff is always helpful. Great place! :)

Checked in about 2:30 in the morning with my mom and my dad who has a companion pet. Was the cheapest room on the whole trip 2 double beds. No charge for the pet. And a free breakfast. And the check out time was noon.

Standard motor lodge. Has fridge and coffee machine in room. Decent and effective.

Very close to Davis campus. Reasonable rates.

About 3.5 stars Office hours 7 am to 11pm don't mind them if they open few minutes late.

The front desk clerk was most helpful in everything I requested, from printing my boarding pass to helping me find a great place to eat. The motel is older and you do get what you pay for. The continental breakfast was carb heavy but it was FREE I say stay here if you need a room for the night. I even talked to a couple of people that are staying there from a couple of weeks to a few months. Great deal for the location. I dare you to find a place in Davis that is this inexpensive and that does not have drug addicts wandering around the parking lot!

When I checked in, this seemed like a basic cheap-room-with-a-bed. The room and furniture are dark, beaten up, old, and mismatched. The building's clearly not seen the love it deserves. There are a few roaches, but only small ones. The Wi-Fi works, but only barely. You'll need to go to one of the local coffeeshops to actually do anything, after you spend 20 minutes finding them on the hotel Wi-Fi. There's no free breakfast here. In the final analysis, even the relatively cheap price is too high for the really low quality.
