We were very pleased with the accommodations provided at BW Davis University Lodge. The location is great for accessing the campus, downtown restaurants and expansive arboretum trails. The room was spacious, clean and really quite lovely with balcony and flower boxes throughout the property. The pet fee is fair at 10 per pet per day also. Breakfast options were good and fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Davis.

Nice, clean hotel. Simple rooms. Just what I needed for my short trip. GREAT location! Close to the Parks, food, and close to freeway.

The hotel is locate in a small area. Looks very nice. The room is small when you open the door and the bed just right there. The carpet looks so old. The room doesn't smell fresh, the air condition so loud. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is nice, lots of towels as I request. The breakfast should be serve at 7;00 am, but it's not ready yet for the hot food.

Polite desk staff, comfortable room, relatively cheap. But housekeeping staff was perfunctory: Room was barely cleaned daily (bed not made, toilet not cleaned, empty tissue box not replaced). Noisier than hoped (it was Memorial Day weekend), with some guests sitting outside our room at a public outdoor table, drinking and talking until near midnight. They left an empty six pack of bottles and some empty wine bottles, which the staff didn't bother to remove for two days.

Not a luxury hotel but clean, conveniently located and very good value for money.

Room was very clean and it was warm… it was surprisingly very quiet and the parking lot was full… the one thing missing was tooth paste and yes I would stay here again and recomend to family and friends.

Great location for a conference at UC Davis. Breakfast was really good. Room was clean and had everything I needed. The treadmill in the gym wasn't working, but other than that, everything was nice.

Great experience. Amazing breakfast bar. Great location downtown Davis and close to the Arboretum and Mondavi Performing Arts Center.

Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly. Only not 5 stars because they had a serious issue with water temperature control for the shower, constantly went from boiling hot to freezing cold. Everything else was great.

The twin queen rooms are small. The excercise room was under renovation when I was here. Other than that the service is good and the breakfast is good too.

Room was not completely clean. Garbage under the beds. Breakfast was great; warm breakfast with eggs and bacon, waffles, and bagels.

This is a good hotel for the price in downtown Davis. The rooms are small, but clean and updated, except for the carpet, which was dated but not dirty. The beds are soft and comfortable, with warm cotton sheets and spreads, and lots of pillows. The cable TV has most channels. The continental breakfast had warm and cold food items with milk, OJ, and coffee.

Not chic or swanky, but close to campus, very affordable considering the alternatives, close to downtown Davis, and offers a complimentary hot breakfast. Parking is a bit tight, so don't show up with an oversize vehicle or RV.

Such a convenient location near downtown Davis. Restaurants and bars are within walking distance. The rooms were comfortable but a little small.

We've been coming to the Best Western in Davis since 2010, when our daughter started at the university. We can always count on a room that's like one at a hotel. Your receptionist is always friendly and accommodating, and your cleaning staff does a fantastic job. Give them a bonus, please!

Wonderful location, walking distance to UCD and downtown Davis. Nice room, courteous housekeeping staff. Largest room has 2 beds with one in a separate room plus a small kitchen.

Always great service and very clean rooms. You're not going to get things like room service but you know this going in, BW doesn't make any claims otherwise. Well priced given all this and also great location if you need to be on Davis campus for something. Try the Black Bear Diner across the street, they're great, too!

Some problems finding parking because the hotel was at capacity. Room itself was fine, beds were comfortable. Breakfast food was good, but there was no seating in the breakfast room, you had to take your food back to your room yo eat.

We have stayed at the Best Western University Lodge numerous times in the past three years since our son started going to UCD. It has been consistently above average in terms of appearance, cleanliness, staff courtesy and responsiveness, comfort and affordability. We've had to stay at a few other hotels in Davis several times because we weren't able to get a room at this Best Western and we were not as pleased with our stays at all. We always return here and try to book ahead so we know we'll get a room. The access to the Farmer's Market and downtown shops and restaurants make it an even more desirable location. We love it.

Decent place for the money, but bring ear plugs. The walls are SUPER thin! You can hear everything going on outside and next door. I had to sleep with the TV on just to drown out the noise.

Great location and pricing, comfy rooms, great and helpful staff, they accommodate for dogs, next door to the Black Bear diner (yummy! ). Best of all, if they don't immediately have your needed reservation, they'll put you on a waiting list and they really will monitor the list and contact you if a room becomes available. Great customer service which makes this my go to Inn.

Not a bad choice for short-term visitors at UCD. Breakfast is somewhat poor but there are several options near the lodge including Whole Food market and local restaurants. It has a strength on a short distance of the university.

The place was kind of loud, the breakfast was very poor for BW and the rooms smelled like a nursing home. Other than that it was fine.
