The rooms are okay. The complimentary breakfast was actually very satisfying it consisted of bagels land o lakes butter English muffins eggs sausages and there was a waffle maker I didn't have any but my husband did and he loved them and the process of making them himself. There was also apple and orange juice. The pool seemed clean a bit small the AC in the rooms didn't work that good but the rooms were very private … for the price it was worth it.

Room is nice. Huge bed. The air conditioning doesn't work very well. It was really hot and it didn't seem to do anything until hours later. Of course this is in the middle of the desert so it's hard to keep up with the heat. The soap smells good, they gave us charcoal soap and even lotion and makeup remover. I couldn't figure out how to draw a bath, there isn't a plug I could find and no other way to take one from what I could tell. The pillows were amazing, huge and soft but still firm. The blankets were fluffy and cozy. The breakfast was alright. It provided cereal, different types of bread, muffins, waffles, sausage, hashbrowns, juice, coffee. The hashbrowns were undercooked in my opinion but it was still pretty good. The keys stopped working and we had to go to the desk to fix them.

Very nice staff, awesome continental breakfast. But the pool was too hot, not a bit REFRESHING. The room had the best a/c ever.

The service was great. Not super friendly but efficient and got the job done. The breakfast is great, waffles, eggs, sausage among other things. The rooms are a decent size and very affordable. The location is so so. 15 to 20 minute drive to a couple different casinos. Definitely recommend.

Dated decor, terribly Hot pool, Super hot breakfast area. They took our deposit and Complained about us dirtying the towels, which is really a testament to the cleanliness if their floors. Taking our money for no good reason is stealing from my children, this business should be ashamed and embarrassed. Very very disappointed and we will forever recommend that no one ever stay at this motel!

Easy to find from the street. No fuss place to stay. Near fast food places and not too far from Target, Trader Joes or a few markets if you need to go on a food run.

Great value! Clean hotel with complimentary breakfast. Vast parking and elevator made it easy to transport our belongings. Would highly recommend!

My family had a good time. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. There were a lot of people for breakfast so it was a sad thing. I've been to this place before so I know the food is good. I wish they had a bigger pool.

People that work there are helpful and nice and the rooms are pretty decent for the price.

I stayed this past weekend first weekend in may in room 112 a two bedroom two bathroom with a kitchen and a sofa bed pull out room had 3 32 inch tvs and a full fridge the air conditioner was great the temp outside was 103 the room was very clean the pool and common areas where clean as well the food wasn't that great but who cares when you have a clean comfortable place to stay only time I heard noise was when the cleaning people were rolling their carts on the floor above but I didn't mind the staff was really pleasant and the price was great the room could have been more and it still would have been worth it I would stay there again and again.

I stayed at the Red Lion on a groupon deal so it was an excellent value. Room was awesome, almost like a mini suite. Breakfast was good as far as hotel buffet breakfast goes. Pool and hot tub were nice and not overcrowded.

The room was run down Chairs with big stains so I put covers on everything even the couch. The bathroom was rusted and run down. The beds we're clean and the staff was nice.

Pretty small room. Nice "wood" floor, but bathroom not all that impressive. Faucet leaked (it happens). Breakfast wasn't that great, pretty basic.

Upon check in the front desk agent did not smile at any moment. I did not feel welcomed. She told me "you are all set". But she failed to give me my keys and room number. She assumed that I knew where the room was and did not offer me any directions. She also failed to give me instructions as to what amenities were offered and check out times. I work in hospitality industry and this was a subpar welcoming experience. The room was clean. The bed squeaks (room 106).

I like to go because the prices are good.

Pretty awful. The room had a motion sensor so when you would turn over in bed at night the light would turn on. Then go off after a few minutes. Then back on after someone in the other bed would move. Couldn't turn it off and neither could the maintenance person when we asked the next day. The food at the free breakfast was also bad. Burnt bacon and greyish scrambled eggs. Would not stay here again if they paid me. My wife checked in before me and she reported the room smelled and there were dirty towels in the living room area when she got there.

One Motel I loved staying a while at. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Its near different types of fast food chains. Many nice restaurants to choose from. The city of cathedral city has it's town center walking distance from the motel called the red lion inn. Can't run out if gas because (exaggerating a bit) theres literally a gas stations on every corner. 2 movie theaters, one is a 3d max theatre and mpt&e I the is a nice size with many amazing new movies release are showing. Come and experience it for yourself.

Groupon deal. We were not in the system had to wait a bit, employee was very apologetic and friendly. We booked 2 double beds, were told no double beds were available. He offered 2 queen beds at no additional charge. Upon entering the room it smelled, almost like pet odor. It was a very outdated room, the beds were most definently not queen. I do not think the sheets on one of the beds had been changed there were hairs all in the bed. Some of the towels looked stained and dirty. We were only there one night and got in very late so I did not complain we made due and left first thing in the morning. Friendly enough staff just an old, outdated dirty place. Unfortunately we won't be staying there again.

Front desk lady was so nice as a matter of fact everyone was. Got the king room with a kitchen. Very enjoyable. Will do it again!

It is really a one star hotel but it is cheaper than most other motels in town. The maids we're nice. If you're on a strict budget it will work for you, but only then. There are many other places to stay in and around Palm Springs. Treat yourself to a nicer motel if possible. After all, you're on vacation.

Edie is amazing and a huuuuge help and Anthony has a great personality. Tim was a very awesome manager and worked with me to solve problems that occurred. I could not have asked for better… Thanks guys!

Good beds and a fair breakfast. It was a little run down but clean. The second night the toilet clogged and maintenance couldn't clear but they were quick to help us move to another room.

Hotel is average, but acceptable. The night I stayed their hot water was broken, but they offered nothing but apologies. Also, breakfast refrigerators and juice machines had red tags on then from a health inspector noting hot Temps and even a cock roach, yet the refrigerator was still in use. Overall, tolerable for the price but they can easily do so much better.

Great simple hotel. Easy access to parking lot. Clean rooms. Great if you want to hit the night life and crash somewhere comofrtable.

The Staff was friendly (EVIE) and accommodating. EVIE was awesome … the pool and spa were clean breakfast was great rooms were clean comfortably and affordable …

My room was comfortable however, I had the noisiest air conditioner ever, and had to listen to it all weekend cuz I arrived late at night and believe they were sold out. I also had no choice but to use it considering I was in the desert! I had a couple lamps that didn't work, the fridge froze my food, so I think a $100.00/night for a room in the desert was alot!

Had a very fun experience at red lion inn. The front staff Evie did phenomenal, great customer service. She knows how to take care of her guest and ensured we had a wonderful stay. Very generous!

We had the best time. Staff and management were very welcoming and made sure our weekend was one to remember. We are already looking forward to our next stay.

Every night I was there the other guests seemed to make quite a lot of noise throughout the night. I had difficulty sleeping but I'm to nice to complain or cause problems. However, the management was VERY nice, professional and helpful! Great deals here also… I'd stay here again for sure. There's free continental breakfast daily. Much better than a budget chain motel nearby that shall go nameless.

Never book a room there again, I booked two rooms with queen bed, and rooms next to each other… Didnt get what I booked. The service sucked asked for towels on Saturday more then three times didnt get them till Sunday… Two towels, two hand towel and one wash cloth for a room with double beds. Not good service. Breakfast was ok. The phone in room didnt work and the lamps to turn them off you had to unplug them. One room smelled awful, like cigarettes.
Never again…

A fine place to stay. I've stayed here several times before. There was a mix-up at the front desk whereby I was given the key to an already occupied room. I didn't run into any awkward moments, fortunately, because it was obvious someone was in there when the curtains are open and a dude's standing there with the lights on. Room 221 (and all rooms with that layout) needs an air conditioning unit in the bedroom area because the one in the living room does not keep it sufficiently cool while sleeping, even on full blast. I was warm all night this stay, and I need to sleep cool. I didn't feel like switching rooms a second time after waking up in the middle of sleep too warm. I do hope the renovations are truly coming soon. This was a conversion property from a few years ago, and they really gotta get up to standard with the Red Lion name or else switch brands. Just some new carpet and modern furniture instead of the Goodwill-looking drab sofa and chairs would go a long way here. That said, the kitchen is nice to have, even if I have never used it. I wouldn't want to pay a dime more for its presence, but just having it there is cool for if there are multiple people. A stove with oven is definitely not an amenity "millennials" will use though, so turn it into a stage with a fog machine and a stripper pole or maybe an area to use your VR goggles… whenever the renovations happen. ;-)

Quiet. Room was clean and cool. Stayed for one evening. To escape long drive back from Arizona two Newport Beach. A nice basic Hotel. Good value. Bought off a Groupon. Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was inviting.

Bed hurt my back. Breakfast was awful. Loved the coffee. It was a bit run down.

Total dive. Staff was friendly and offered different room because 1st was so bad. 1st room carpet sticky, furniture falling apart, sofa fabric black/brown from dirt in wear spots, hair from beard trimmings on sink. Second room down comforter on both beds without duvet (gross), sofa fabric gooey, smells awful, a/c makes loud clunk every time it goes off (I mean loud enough it woke whole family all night long), full size beds not queen, (did I mention this was the second room) and I haven't even made it to breakfast. Safety locks held in with drywall anchors that just pulled right out and this isn't the safest neighborhood. Never ever going to stay at another Red Lion (this was my second stay at a Red Lion as we are heavy road travelers). The first was not as bad.

We stayed there for 8 days. We decided to take an upgraded room for very little more cost in a no smoking room. They moved us to a suite at the end of the building. The hotel had designated that the smoking area for the laundry room staff. They would not move us from this area so the smoke would blow into our room via the Air Conditioning. I tried to work with multiple managers and they just said sorry they were totally booked. So then I moved the ask tray, because I didn't want my kids to inhale all the smoke. So that I how we went though the week. Moving the ash tray and they would move it back. Their Corporate office called back at the end of the week and offered us a discount for the next time we stay at the same hotel. We will not be going back to stay at that Red Lion.

First room assigned had been smoked in, even though they claim they're a non-smoking property. The 2nd room was fine. Clean, except the carpet, working, noisy AC, comfortable and large. Some attention to detail would be nice. Light switches didn't work, lamps weren't plugged in, etc. But, it was cheap and decent. Breakfast was good, although people had to keep bugging the front desk to restock or bring out items.

The room was small for the price, the bathroom was a little dirty the door was dirty, the pool was dirty, dead bugs in the water, hair on my fingers, I even thing the pump was not even on, I was gonna stay another night, but I just rather checked out! And I was a housekeeping before at a hotel, so that was I noticed the restroom and door! Hopefully they get better! Oh and the breakfasts room was soooo hot we decided to just go out to eat instead of there!

My experience at the Red Lion was actually very relaxing. Even before my arrival the staff was very helpful over the phone and tried their best to accommodate me and my family on our vacation. Breakfast was good and convenient. Thank you for staff for a wonderful stay.

Hotel appears to not use its online presence. Website did not work and Chat function did not work. Could not get information needed in order to book, so skipping this one and finding another.

I have recently stayed here (February 2016) and I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast is better than many place I have stayed with comparables start rating. I am quite impressed with the customer service of staff — especially the general manager. Will stay there again! Best deal in the area for the price listed.

If you're use to 4-star hotel, this place is not. My first night there I took a disinfectant whole to the bathroom counter and counter in nook with the dining table. The wipe was very dirty. I then wiped down the table, remote and light switches (I'm a germaphobe, so a routine I do any time I stay at a hotel) those were normal in what I see in most hotels. The spotlight above the dresser would not turn off. But to be honest, that didn't bother me as I can sleep through anything. The one plus SAS the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in a long time in a hotel. Though the location was close to hopes, restaurants and the office I was working at, I would probably not stay again. But I got what I paid for a chapped priced room so other hotels were way of my budget for that time.

Other than it be a little on the older side, I would of gave this place 5 stars. It's clean, breakfast was decent, and centrally located. Service there was exceptional. The manger, Fernando was super nice and really went out of his way to assure our start was a good stay. I would designedly definitely stay again. Thank you Red Lion Inn and especially Fernando. Thanks for taking care of our family and the Cotton Nighthawks.

A little dated but for the price, it's a great place to stay. Room was clean and the staff was great. Its right in between Palm Springs and Palm Desert. Recommend getting the Suite at such a low price.

I recently stayed at the Red Lion Inn & Suites at Cathedral City over the Labor Day weekend. The hotel is a bit older but for the price, especially during the Labor Day weekend, was great! Our basketball team stayed here thoroughly used the pool area on Saturday and Sunday from afternoon through the evening. Rooms have small refridgerators, and some have a full size fridge and kitchenette. There is a free daily breakfast next to the hotel lobby. There is a laundry room available which I used to wash and dry my son's thick basketball jersey, shorts, socks, etc… Parking is sufficient. I have to say that the hotel staff is great! Fernando, Evie, and Magdalena were all very helpful. Fernando personally made sure that I was well taken care of and that all of my needs were met. I would recommend this hotel for its good pricing and friendly staff. They have a Red Lion membership program that the hotel will recognize and may upgrade you. It is centrally located to lots of restaurants in the Cathedral area, and Rancho Mirage is very close as well. I would stay here again.
